Fruit House

Hi people! Welcome to Fruit House. My name is Claire and I am a young adult based out of New York City. I attended Scripps College in Claremont, CA up until May 2022. This podcast's mission started out as an honest and authentic conversation about the nuanced experiences of peoples social and emotional health during quarantine of the COVID19 pandemic. A few themes that I sought to explore were physical touch deprivation, the impacts of lower stimulation (social and other) and how newness could manifest in the midst of perceived stagnancy. In the first few episodes of this podcast, I spoke with people in my immediate Claremont community and have since expanded the conversation. This podcast started in 2020 and since, I have taken a break to finish college and organize my projects/interests. I am overjoyed to be centering this passion project of mine once again with new themes and ideas emerging while holding true to the pod's original mission- how do people build the space in which they live? Be it mental or physical. What makes our lives fruitful? All of this is to be explored through the foundational question- if you could live inside of a fruit, what would it be? Fruit House is entering a new era alongside side us all as we kick off 2023. Thank you for having been here, for sticking around or for coming back. I hope you all enjoy.
