I believe in laughter. It is one of life's greatest medicines. But I can get serious or be serious too. Though, admittedly, I prefer life that involves more humor than seriousness in it. But, hey, that's just me. 😉

Giving a little shout out to one of my listeners, who has been loyal for a long while now. THANK YOU! You know who you are and it was great catching up via text recently. You keep rocking it in that lovely city you have moved to. 🤗

My shoulder is doing a tab bit better, which is great as it was hurting so bad for awhile there. Not cool, let me tell ya! It is still not great and not sure what will be next if it doesn't get even better but I'm hopeful that it actually feeling better is a sign that it will, well, get mo better. 😉

I met a Navy veteran today and we got to talking about boot camp and all the (looking back) silly stuff we went through. We weren't laughing back them but we sure can laugh about it today. lol

Have I ever told y'all how THREE is a good number for me is? No? Well, give this episode a listen and learn why that is. 😊

FYI: June 21st, 2024 (this coming Friday) makes the three year mark of being cancer free or in remission. Ok, now you may be guessing about the previous question above. heehee If you want raise a glass of your favorite drink... be it water, milk, wine, beer or whatevs on that day and toast with me for the years to only continue with NO evidence of disease. Happy Sunday night. Hope y'all are well. I don't think I spoke about this, if I did definitely not in length. So I'm doing that tonight. 😉That being the speech that a kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs where he basically said stuff that made me want to throw up in my mouth. Stuff that made me wonder how it is that we are in 2024 and people are still so freaking into religion more than humanity. I am a Christian. I love God and believe Christ to be the Son of God while at the same time do not want to be religious. You can have your beliefs but to speak them out as if they are truth is where I draw the line. And to speak them out as if you are the ear and mouth piece of God. Yeah, not gonna say nothing. Next, I talk about the (continued) hypocricy about the MAGA ultra right. It's quite pathetic if you ask me ... or even if you don't. 😉

I'm far from perfect, trust! I do try to be a good human, yet I miss the mark probably more than I would like to admit. but I do try but holy cow those on trump minions just are all about being loud and ignorant and wanting America to drink the Kool-Aid they have been drinking. Nope, not for me. Never ever trumper is not even what I am. I am a not for a lying buffoon want to be monster who thinks he is a god. And those that follow him... I do pray for them. And I pray they hold no political power for much longer.

Been out of pocket due to health issues, nothing serious, and went to my (2nd oldest) nieces wedding. Going to try and see about Sunday episodes, but still might try Friday's. I really wanted to get on out as I missed last week. :) Hey, yay for the recent verdict on trump regarding the hush money trial. No one should be above the law. Now let's see if he actually is held accountable with actual punishment. Ok, working on a project that I can't, or won's say much about as I want to wait till I know more about what I'm going to be doing. But had to let y'all know I'm cooking something up for more ovarian cancer awareness. 🩵 I really want to do good with it, so really have to put a lot of thought into how I want it to be -- to be continued.

Hey y'all! Mid May what do you say? Hope everyone who has a mother had a great mother's day or those who are mothers had a good Mother's Day or those who have a mother and our a mother, yes, hope y'all have a wonderful Mother's Day! I miss my mom SO MUCH and it's always hard on this special day BUT I got through it and so did my siblings. My, I feel, my mom is always with me. That warms my heart. Anyway, I got a ticket... YES, me. Not cool. And I had to call the po po on my new upstair neighbor. Definitely not something I wanted to do. Lastly, wanting to share an article about things that speed up the aging process. I share because I care and let me tell you, I'm serious about the dark circles under my eyes. I hope to find a solution for it. But outside of that well, I think I'm doing ok as a I age. #glorytogod 🙃

I'm moving the podcast to Fridays as it suits me better with time on that day. I may have an episode this Friday but if not for sure next Friday.

Alright I really get into how passionate I am about spreading ovarian cancer awareness. It is one of my life's missing. There's simply too many women that are still getting diagnosed late and still too many women dying due to that. We have to keep talking about it. We must keep talking about it. And if I come off as if I'm angry that friends and family haven't necessarily been there to support me on this mission that is not my intention. Was I hurt or surprised by how many weren't supportative? Sure. I really thought people would be jumping in line to ask me how they could buy my book or how they could tell people they know how to get their hands on a copy of my book or even just how they could help with spreading the awareness. That didn't happen. Not in the way I thought it would which would have been droves of people wanting to help because they were so happy I hadn't died. I didn't expect to be a New York best seller. Doubt a story of someone going through cancer would ever get that honor UNLESS they are already famous. But I didn't hope and even expected to have sold way more copies than I did here in my home country yet that didn't happen. But it did happen in Saudi, where I had students wanting to get a copy because they were so proud of me for surviving and writing a book about it. That puzzled me. Yet I didn't have time to somehow feel sorry for myself or be pissy about. Sometimes it really boils down to: it is what it is and it is a good lesson in don't put your expectations too high for those in your life with supporting you. I didn't want to think that way and I still don't want to think that way but this is life. All I can do is say what I am saying in this episode about how all of it and most especially let you all know that it would be really awesome if you shared now. If you would help me and all those folks and organizations out there doing all they can to spread awareness. It doesn't take money, if you have that those organizations will always be in need of help that way, nor does it take time to share things about ovarian cancer and in doing so, lives can be saved. I don't believe I should have lived.. I waited so long to see a doctor. I was in denial. Yet despite that I have continued to live, even despite having two recurrences. Despite the two surgeries and the 24 chemo treatments. I'm still here. I want it to mean something. And I want to earn it. That's why I share. And I hope you will help me share awareness too. 🩵

Happy FOUR years of Talk Time with Hope! Seriously, FOUR years, whaaaatttt?! I guess when you love doing something time goes by even faster. 🙃🍾Here's to many many more -- even if on the new platform coming in June. Maybe I'll finally be ready for video podcasting... probably not. lol

Alright just talking about how, probably spoke about this before, but how women have to, should be, ever aware of their surroundings when exercising in public. Walking. Biking. Running. Jogging as slow as a turtle, etc. Why? Because it is us WOMEN that get harmed. It is us WOMEN that can assaulted when freaking out trying to just exercise. It's ridiculous that this stuff happens but it does happen and because of that PLEASE ladies, be smart. Don't wear both ear buds, keep one ear open. Don't keep your head down where you don't notice anyone around you. Be aware of your surroundings, always -- not just when you are exercising. It's not about being paranoid or crazy, it's about being smart and knowing that women get abducted at places as a place one would think is safe like a park or in their neighborhood. That's my public awareness announcement for today.

Also talking about a couple of conversations I had with some Uber passengers. Always got good conversations with passengers.... for the most part.

Just talking a tad bit on the trump trial -- basically how that dude does not deserve the coverage he is getting. YES, I get that it is unprecedented in this is the first ever former POTUS to go to trial for something like this (and this is just ONE so far) BUT come on! The dude doesn't deserve so much attention JUST like I don't think Margorie Green Taylor and George Santos and Lauren Boebert should be getting so much attention as well. They are drama queens and kings and so over them. They want to stay relevant and the media makes it so. Ugh!🤦🏽‍♀️

The other things I talk about in today's episode is the protests going on at Columbia University and Yale. The antisemitic and islamophobia that continues to go in this country and how are we not coming together on all of this stuff? Violence and hate does not work. Never has. Never will. All of human existence shows that! 🥲

I got to experience something not everyone does and not something maybe some people, maybe more than some people may never experience... and that there be a total solar eclipse. That is all.

It was quite epic though! Like seriously, y'all! Something I hadn't ever experienced and something I may never get to again. Which was a reason I took advantage of having the flexibility of driving with Uber and being in the path of totality. It was too good to pass up. And love that I did. Plus I was able to get some pretty great pics of it. Something I wasn't sure was possible. Tell y'all what... how far phones have come is just mind boggling! What use to be done with a professional or maybe just an expense camera can be done on a smartphone, albeit a new model one that can zoom in, but still a smartphone. Never really thought it would possible. But it is and it was today. It can't match say the expensive cameras but the smartphones are getting better and better than maybe in the next 5 years they will be right there with them there fancy expensive cameras. Maybe.

I hope some of y'all were able to go out and enjoy the eclipse too. If not, maybe you'll get the chance when it comes back around. Which won't be until 2044, at least not in these parts anyway.

Like, what is going on?! Blasphemous much, former POTUS?

It's sickening and pathetic the lows this dude is going to due to all his legal and financial woes. And his "followers" keep eating up. Sad.

It's more of a clarification than a correction as I feel I could have said something better in the episode. So, yeah, I guess that is more a correction than just a clarification. I am trying more and more to be mindful of what I say, or rather how I say things. Not because I want to be all about politically correct but rather because I wouldn't want to intentionally offend someone or be offensive. They simply don't get the attention that men sports gets. That' just a well known fact. BUT BUT BUT maybe with those like Taylor Swift attending them, that could change. Women, in particular, starting watching NFL because of Taylor. That's huge! So, Ms. Tay Tay why don't you and your beau Mr. Trav Trav start doing that? 😉🙃😊

Advice that I would never tell my daughter, if I had a daughter, or my nieces or anyone. Advice I'm glad my mom never told me or my sisters. I left last week's episode proclaiming (believing) that the new year was still going to be great despite my brother having had that heart attack. But just a few days later I was informed that a dear high school friend passed away. Heartbreaking. 🥲 She was only 53!

Then, last Thursday, I twisted my ankle, sprained it. Yep. And I was doing seemingly nothing when it happened. I mean, I just turned in my kitchen. That's it! Not cool, ankle! Not cool. BUT thankfully the x-ray shows no broken bone. Praise God!

So, sure, stuff happens. And sure it has happened at the beginning of the new year. BUT. THAT. AIN'T. GONNA. GET. ME. DOWN.

Nope, this gal (and hey my name is Hope) is gonna keep my chin up and remember things can still get better. And they will. They are. Perspective and faith. And hope. Makes a world of a difference.

Happy December! My eldest niece turned 35, yesterday! She's still a kiddo to me. Even though she has four kiddos of her own, actual kiddos as in her children. She is quite amazing and wishing her a beautiful birthday year!

Hey y'all! How have you been? Me? Oh I have been grand. Maybe not terribly grand, as well...I gots the covid. Yes, AGAIN!

See I love rideshare driving, even though it comes with its woes at times. It's not great for my lower back. People can be silly with not wanting to wear their seatbelts. People just being weird. Or smelling funky. But I do love meeting people and being of service. But hard to do that when someone gets in my car and they are sick. And this dude seemed to be sick as he was sniffling so much that he may have need a box of tissue to get all that out. It wasn't just some sniffling here and there it was the entire ride of him sniffling. It stuck out and that is why when I wert to bed and my throat was sore I remembered him.

Ugh to the Ugh Ugh!😠

Here's the thing, if you know you are probably not feeling well, just stay home. If you have to be out, then keep tissue with you and wear a mask. This doesn't have to even be covid related. A cold or the flu are always contagious. HELLO! Life has to go on. I get that. Trust, I have had to work with I was not 100% in different jobs in my past. I don't like to be sick. I don't like to not work because I am sick. But I think covid has been a wake up call on how we should behave and think of others when we are not feeling well. At least it should have been a wakeup call.

But here we are going towards 2024 and people are reporting having covid left and right. And YES PRAISE GOD it's not as bad as it was when it first came out. It's still not GOOD! It's covid. It can still take you down. It can still kill. And it's STILL contagious!

Keep hand sanitizer and wear a mask. Is that so hard? If you suscpect you ain't doing well, and you want to get on with your life cause you don't have time to be sick, just do those two things to keep from spreading whatever you may have. ESPECIALLY if you are getting in some strangers car.

I was not too jazzed with getting sick. And I tried taking stuff over the counter and rested. A lot! But it was in me. Checked into the E.R..

I guess tune in and give this one a listen to learn more about the fun time I have had with this, this time around.

And don't get me wrong. I'm glad it's not as bad as last time. And I'm glad I am 3x vaccinated. But holy cow, I don't care for it. I don't care for the fact that my body seems to not be as strong as I thought it would be two years in remission. I just had bronchitis this past January. It's like, no! Stop it!

So I am hoping to be done with getting sick. I know that I can't say if that will be the case, but one can hope. And one can pray. And one can look into different ways to build my immune system, make it stronger. Cause this not cool. #facts

Hiya lovely folks. Hope everyone is doing well. I know I was supposed to do one every week but got stuff going on and some changes as well. All good stuff though. I am talking about current things happeing in the news. One of the big ones is the hurricane that is expected to be powerful, to be hitting Florida. Prayers out for all that in the path of that hurricane. There have been two shootings lately that were at a university. One that was ALMOST at a university that is, and one that did happen at one. And the semester has just only begun. Sad but freakin terribly sad. Makes me angry! Americans and their love, nay obsession, for guns only continues to get worse. 😞😠😞 So, the former POTUS has been arrested BUT not arrested. He has a mug shot that is so him too. Ugh! Will that man truly ever see justice for all the insane things he has done???? I do pray so. Nothing wrong with praying that for a bad man to be held accountable for all his bad deeds. #facts Ok, so no more suspense...the big change coming is that I have created a new podcast. Yes, gurl! A new podcast but not to replace this one. I will still keep this one going. Maybe not for forever, but maybe I will. Who is to say. And I'm excited for the episode as I think we did a good job in how we did it. It's more of a Q&A and that is how I want to do guest interviews, while NEVER making it too serious. If you haven't heard about Maui, please look it up and see how they have been literally ravished and devastated by wildfires. YES, wildfires in Maui, in the Hawaiian Islands. 😥Breaks my heart. Not just because I spent two years in Hawaii, but because it's such a beautiful place and now so much is gone. And maybe over 100 people have lost their lives due to it. 🥹😞If you are able to give, give. If you are not please send your prayers and good vibes their way. Mahalo.

Ok, so yes gonna talk a bit about tipping. Seriously, ya'll! People are not tipping and that sucks. Tips go a long way with us ride share drivers. We ain't out here driving because we are bored. Ok, maybe some are. Maybe even me at times. But those tips help to keep our vehicles nice an clean and running well. So, if you don't want to drive your car to go have fun, tip! If your car is down, maybe just tip $1, it does help. If you don't care to tip because you simply don't believe in it, stay home. #justsayin 😠🤦‍♀️

And lastly, car seats for babies. Know how to use them PROPERLY and use them properly. They were created to give your little one extra protection when in a car. They. Save. Lives. Please.

Hey hey hey! Welcome to another BLISTERING month, here on planet earth. Ok, maybe not the ENTIRE planet, but when you're in Texas it sure feels like the whole planet is HOT! 🥵<--I just figured out that I can put emojis on here, from my laptop. #ibesmart 😜

Please stay safe in this heat, if you're one of the lucky ones to live in a blistering state or country. Don't be out if you don't have to. And if you have to, don't be out in it long and DEFINITELY keep hydrated. I'm cycling close to 7:30pm and it's still over 100f degrees. And God knows I should be drinking more water, but at least I am staying hydrated and waiting till later to exercise. 😉

Now, I'm all about the VA disability craziness I have been dealing with these past 4 years. It's so frustrating. It shouldn't be this hard! But when it comes to the government giving money, I know they have to do what they do to not give it away so easily. BUT COME ON! I'm tired! I'm happy to be alive, but I'm tired. I have gotten lawyers to help me and I'm praying this chapter will be done before next year. Please keep me in your prayers and send your good vibes. Please and thank you. 🙏

Hey y'all! How you be? Hope all are doing well and surviving this crazy hot weather! They, saw something from CNN, say last time the PLANET was this hot was...ummm...120,000 years ago! What? Ok, WHAT? No, WHAT? This is so wrong! Yet, not surprised. #climatechangeisreal #stayhydrated

Sorry I have been MIA (missing in action). I could have done an episode but I was away from my apartment and I prefer to do episodes with my microphone, headset and amplifier so y'all can have a nice crisp Talk Time with Hope sound. :) I was going to do an episode when I got back yesterday, but this gal was tired. I plan on getting back to doing one episode a week...but but but...I'm still thinking about putting my podcast on YouTube or Instagram. Probably need to figure out how to do that though. lol

House and dog sitting for my little sister was nice. It was a nice getaway with time to venture out in the streets of Houston. Houston used to be a place I loved to call home. But not really since 2006. It's not the same anymore. Not for me. I loved that city at one point. At more than one point. I have fond memories. Met some amazong people there that I call friends today. But things are different. The friends I met have their own lives and are married with kids or kids and it's just different. And I don't necessarliy thing that because I am still single and never had kids. I just think it is what it is. We are not all close like we used to be. Like college besties. Like military buddies. We don't grow closer, sometimes we grow apart. And the fact that I left and then left the country probably contributed to that. I don't know. I love people. That love never goes away, even if the friendships aren't the same or if we aren't as close as we used to be. The love never goes away. Once I love you, I love you forever. In a good way. Even if we never really see each other again. That love will always be there. <3 I did get to visit with someone that I loved and her kid. We were roommates back in the day. First roommate, outside of the Navy and my big sister, actually. It was so crazy seeing them after 26 years. Mostly good, some not so good as they got into politics and religion. Yeah! But it was nice.

Correction: I do believe everyone should be independent and have their own independence, however, not everybody truly wants that because many people out there want to have somebody with them wants to share that independence. I meant to say everybody should, but not everybody necessarily wants their own independenc Happy 4th of July, yes I know I am posting this at then end of the night of the 4th...but technically is is still the 4th here in Texas. I hope all that celebrate it have had a good and safe time doing so. I want to share what I consider my 4th of July, my independence. What do you consider your 4th of July? So, when I went to Denver last weekend I ran into someone that I had met last year. It was so nice seeing this person as I don't know I felt like there may have been some small morsel of chemistry between us. They were sorta seeing someone last year and it didn't go into much more than some little chit chat. Then the year went by and they happened to be at the same event I was at. We remembered each other and it was really nice seeing this person again. I have not been about wanting to meet anyone since first cancer diagnosis in 2011. I have had maybe a little crush on one or two people but it was a little crush that never went anywhere and even that was a long time ago. Trying to not be hung up on my ex hasn't always been easy. But I digress. Considering I haven't seen or dated or even held hands with anyone in so long it was nice to see that I can actually be attracted to someone, I wondered if that was possible anymore. Like really. I am so used to being by myself that I have wondered if I could see myself in a relationship again. And then there's the deeper side of that, you'll definitely have to give me a listen to learn more about that. :) Now, what is up with the riots in Paris? Have you been watching the news about it? I'd got some info about it and I think it's worth talking about. As always, thank you for listening and if you want...I'd appreciate you giving me a rating and maybe even leave a review. I hadn't intended to make today's episode about the park guy, again. But y'all today was insane. Y'all, maybe not all of you, but some of y'all may be thinking I should not have approached the dude BUT y'all I'm the kind of person that wants to try and understand the other person. Try and get their perspective. And I finally had a chance to speak with him. Last I checked we were both grown ups. But let me tell you guys, that guy was FAR FAR FAR from mature. WAYYYYY far from it. What he was -- is -- is angry and bitter and someone who seems to have hate in his heart. You gotta listen in for more.

Now, good news, very good news. And that is today makes TWO years, yes that's right...TWO years in remission! Glory to God! The Lord Jesus Christ is truly my strength. Yes, I am grateful for everyday. But man oh man, woman oh woman, what a day to celebrate. Please raise a glass with me. It doesn't have to be alcohol. Raise a glass of whatever you want and say a toast to cancer survivorship and for cancer never to return. Let's give God ALL the glory for having me still HERE. My heart is so happy today. <3 <3 <3

Last thing I talk about today is the crazyiness of the former POTUS and all the (new) indictments he has for messing with classified documents. Make that knowingly taking classified documents home with him when he lost the 2020 election because the narcissist wants his mementoes. Ugh!

I have done a crappy job with selling my book, HOPE through cancer, but now that I am only continuing to get stronger and like to think that maybe just maybe cancer won't be returning (even if only just to give me a long break from it) I want to sell more books. Yes, yes, I know I am working on writing more books, but I have so many books in my apartment and at my brother's house that I just want to sell them. I still plan on giving profits of my book to the ovarian cancer organizations too. That's in my heart to stay committed to doing that. So, if y'all have any ideas please let me know. I am thinking doing an advert for it on the back seat of my seats, what do you think about that? Speaking of my book I have met some rather cool nice folk passengers and gave them a free copy of my book. They were just too awesome and we had a great stranger connection to not do that. I had a really great time in Houston...technically outside of Houston, but stilll a great time! :)

My brother, niece and myself did a road trip BRIGHT an early (4am as that's the best time to leave for Houston, especially on a holiday weekend) Saturday and stayed till Monday afternoon. There was even NO drama hanging with the family. That's a rare thing too. All family typically has its drama. Lol. And I even got to see one of my friends of 21 years. Our other friend was not able to meet up with us, but it was still a nice time. <3

Btw, forgot to let y'all know that Ancho podcast is no longer a thing. It's been bought out by Spotify. May may what do you say? Welcome to the middle of May! What a month! Did you know about all the things going on in May, by way of awareness?

First one I want to share is World Ovarian Cancer Day. It's held on May 8th, every year since 2013 -- crazy how I was a part of this ten years ago! I love advocating while don't like the amazing women I meet along the way who pass from this horrible disease. But that is why keep talking about it and sharing it. To be a voice for those that are no longer here. <3 May is also Missing and unidentified people awareness month. I think I may do an episode about this in more detail later down the road -- it needs to be spoken more about. Ok, so cheaters. I don't like them I don't want to ever be one, again as I did not always do the right thing when I was younger. But that is the past. I never was married to cheat on my spouse, but I am not proud of some of my past behavior. Again, that is in the past. But what has happened in the present was some former dude I dated, briefly, reaching out and wanting to meet up. Thing is, by all accounts he is married and has many children and I wonder why he wants to see me but then backs out. #rude It would be nice to see him after three decades, but something feels off. I can't help but wonder if he is trying to step out on his wife and thinks he can with me. Not. Gonna. Happen. #nope At anyrate, we haven't met up and now I doubt we will because I'm not about cheaters or helping cheaters cheat. Ain't nobody got time for that. Hey, don't be a cheat or be with a cheapter. Be single and do your thang or stay with the one you love and work things out so you don't go looking elsewhere.

Welcome to May!

How's life treating y'all? I hope well, always! I will be doing an episode every other week, as I want people to catch up to all the episodes I've done already. I'd like to tell you I've been busy with writing, but that flow has started yet...but believing it will. SOON! :) I'm talking about a state, here in America, wanting to allow children -- like legit children -- to start working at the age of 13, 14 and 15. I don't like it. Good news today is that I don't have a cataract so...no cataract surgery for this gal! Yes! It's not a long or invasive procedure but happy to not have to get it done. Maybe at another time but my right eye is good with a new prescription. :)

And I for one am very happy he is not dead as I like him as an actor and even more so as a human. Hey y'all. So, wanted to do an episode before now, but things have been busy for me. Stepdad found out that the lump in his neck is a tumor and possibly the worse type of the thyroid cancers -- anaplastic thyroid cancer. I want to be there for him, even if we don't always see eye to eye and up until my mom dying, we were not that close...at all.

However, when it comes to serious illness, well, I believe we can put differences aside and be there for people. That's what I am doing. He was there for me when I went through cancer the last time too.

Morocco has made it's debut to the World Cup semifinals, more so than that they are the FIRST country from Africa to go this far! That's exciting and I am rooting for the underdog to take it all the way home and win the championship. I feel that if I hadn't spent time in Saudi i would not have felt the way I do today. Going there really opened me to know those different than me, but who are like me just the same. :-)

Oh, parts of Texas go some insane weather this morning. And I was in it, a little. I was in the target parking lot when the sirens went off and I got an alert telling me that there was a tornado warning and to seek shelter immediately. Yeah, not so nice of a message. But don't worry we are all ok. I got some good pictures out of it too. And a good video. I don't think the tornado that hit a few areas did much damage and that's something to be happy about. #thankyoujesus

Little girl was kidnapped and killed out in a rural area that I happened to have lived at when I was a senior in high school. The suspect is a Fed Ex driver that was out delivering packages. I'm so glad they found him and so quickly, but my heart goes out to the family of the little girl. :(

Finding her body and her killer so quickly is not the case with the four college students that were murdered in Idaho. It's been four weeks and it seems like they, the police, have no suspects or motive for the slayings. Scary and sad. :(

Yours truly is going on a holiday. Yes, going somewhere cold even. It's to celebrate life. To celebrate 11 years of still being here. Got a plan ticket that was too good to pass up so now I will drive like crazy to make sure my bills are squared away and to have money for hotel and food. God always makes away so I'm not concerned at all. It WILL happen as I am fit as a fiddle (not really but still better than when going through cancer) to drive every day until I leave for holiday. #praiseGod #yay #exploringtwonewcountriessoon #lifeisgood

Also, when I commented about the four college students that were slain in Idaho and said that maybe the killer or killers killed the guy first it is not against the women or that women can't defend themselves. Ok, so Kanye West continues to be in the news -- and for all the wrong reasons. I'm just going to give some updates on how he has been dropped by companies that he had (lucrative) accounts with as he continues to down the rabbit hole of antisemitism and has no plans on apologizing. Y'all, he needs help. I said it before and I say it again.

The main topic is not about him though, it's about antisemitism. Why? Why does it exist? Why do so many people around the world hate the Jewish people so much? I don't get it. I don't understand. But I did find an article from the point of view of Jewish people on some of the reason that are used to try to make excuses for the hate for them. Listen in as I try to understand something that will never be truly understood and should NEVER be tolerated. There is NO place for antisemitism, absolutely NONE! No place for hate period! Today it is about three dudes that, in my opinion, are silly silly silly dudes! This is by no means an episode of admiring or complimenting these guys. But that's just my thoughts on the matter. The man wants to either get rid of Twitter as we know it and start over, I believe that's what I read, or to change Twitter into something all about his agenda. He wants to reinstate trump to be allowed back on the social media site. Speaking of trump. The man has been formally subpoenaed, something that's never happened to any former president before. Of course, we all know, that will not happen. Or will it???? I mean that would get all kinds of HUGE ratings. So. We. Shall. See. Though, if his parents have any wits about them they'll never allow that. The dude is good at self-incriminating himself. Maybe we should hope he'll show up for the subpoena. This man, trump, is the main instigator for the January 6th and it is my hope, and even my prayer that he will get found guilty for all his actions, but more specifically for taking top secret documents to his private home, and for tax fraud, and for soooooooo many more things. Also, talking a little, truly a little, about the protests in Iran that were sparked by the death of a young woman that was arrested for wearing her head scarf "too" loosely. The moral police, in Saudi they were called the "religious" police and I don't think they have ever gone that far to cause one of their own to die. If you haven't guessed, I don't have a problem with foreigners in this country. Zero problems UNLESS they are doing crime. Unless they are not contributed to our society to our economy. I love diversity. I love that America is a melting pot of people from all backgrounds. But I don't like when Americans want this country to be just Americans. Just updating you on how the colonoscopy didn't go. Yup, we were a no go for the colono! It sucks because I wanted to get that done and over with. But that darn constipation just wasn't having it. NOT to mention that that darn gawd awful prep drink was not going down smoothly. I tried. I did all I could to psyche myself into drinking it all. But. Just. Didn't. Happen. And so, unfortunately, I had to cancel it and will reschedule. It is what it is.

Now, I'm gonna get deep into how I feel about Donald J. Trump and what I feel about CINOs (Christians in Name Only!). Oh it's getting real! Talk Time with Hope ain't holding back. More than ever before.

Why?

Because I'm tired of seeing people like Trump try to tear this country a part more than ever. He is an evil man. I believe him to be a cancer to this country. A cancer to Democracy itself. And we got to get out there and vote blue in 22! We need to not let those that are quick looney keep power. We need to vote them out. That is the Democratic way! And it works! I'm in Texas and I'll be voting for Beto! We need Abbott and Ted Cruz out. America needs Marco Rubio out! It needs DeSantis out! It needs Marjorie Taylor and Laura Bobert out! Don't care if I'm not spelling their names correctly. Change is needed! And that change for the betterment of this country needs to happen in November. Now is the time. We can do it too!

So I implore you to go out and vote. Don't vote for your party, vote for your conscious. Vote for what is best for ALL Americans. Vote evil out. Vote that the cancer that is Donald J. Trump and all his minions is not just stopped but cut out so it will never be able to spread. And that can be done...NOT with violence but by voting!

Today I"m talking about things that really just chap my arse, AKA things that IRK me (irk: something that irritates or annoys) -- the list is endless! Just kidding, semi endless and getting longer as I get older. Ok, maybe not really. But I do wonder sometimes.

Now, I'm not sharing because I'm just one to like to complain and be like an old woman sitting her in rocking chair smoking her pipe saying "back in my day!:" BUT stuff really irks me and hey gotta let it out! Gotta vent. Gotta use this podcast to be my therapy! And, hey, at the end of the day: I'm only human. I can be irked. I can have my arse chapped. It's ok. As long as I don't stay irked. Cause that would really irk me! Ok, enough with the irking. ;-)

Oh, I'm touching also on what being a veteran with 100% is about and how I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to be on disability. There are things that have happened to me that would have have happened to me if not for my service to my country while serving in the armed forces. I'm not unable to work. But my body is not the same. All that wear and tear on my body, not to mention what my body has bone through post three bouts of cancer and all the treatments. It will be nice to not have to worry about having to work but being able to work if i want to. :)

The infowar crazy (I use crazy because he a mad bad man and no disrespect to those that have mental health illness) man who started the (or at least made it more public) conspiracy theory about the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting that happened years back. He was taken to court and found guilty. And now he will have to pay loads of money to the parents who are a part of the civil court lawsuit. I pray this sends a message that is has nothing to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with NOT spreading lies about those who were murdered.

I was only going to talk briefly about Uvalde as I felt an update was needed...but then once I got to talking it went from briefly to over fifteen minutes. I ain't sorry as keeping that story alive is important.

Thirteen children GONE, killed, MURDERED because someone (who may or may not have had mental illness issues) got access to guns! How did he get those guns? Were there signs that he was not stable? He was eighteen and in high school so how in the tarnation did he have weapons? THIRTEEN CHILDREN NO MORE! And the two adults that were killed as well. No more! They are no more here!

When NO MORE should be the slogan for death by gun violence.

Then there were the, I believe, TEN adults that were out shopping at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York who were gun down simply for being black. Why? Because of some bullcrap belief that far right conservatives have been spewing regarding race replacement theory. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?

It's shite! It's a lie. It's false! And it exists to try to scare those who are white that they will soon be replaced by people of color. Yes, ridiculous!

But it's something that this young white guy believed and made it a mission of his to travel over 200 miles to find as many African Americans as he could so he could kill as many of them as possible. It's sick! It disgusts me!

It makes me so angry.

And it saddens me so much!

The gun violence has to stop! There has to be change! And that change is so over due! Correction: It was first reported that 13 children were killed, the total is now actual at 18. :(

As promised I'm talking about my journey through hair loss (a small part of it anyway) and what I believe has caused it. Here are the details:

Lichen planus is a rare skin disorder that can affect not just your skin but your hair (lichen lichen planopilaris) and your mouth (oral or corrosion lichen planus) -- none of which are contagious...in case anyone wondered. ;-) I believe I was exposed to chemicals, metals and toxins while serving in the Army at Ft. McClellan -- more can be found by a Google search but this article was sent to me by a former Drill Sergent that knew I was going through health issues. The Long Shadow of Fort McClellan | The American Legion Although I used to feel embarrassed (and for some ridiculous reason even almost ashamed) that I had hair loss and skin issues I don't anymore. I'll go into more detail about why I felt that way about my skin in the next episode. I am strong enough to open up about hair loss and what I believe has caused it in a way that I just wasn't ready to before today. And even though the whole Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith incident at the Oscars had me wanting to talk about this...I knew it was getting close to coming out of the closet about this health issue that maybe more women (and men) out there can relate to. I hope by opening up about it someone out there will see that they are not alone.

I took off to Vegas for two days, no didn't get married. haha! It was so nice and much needed. I only had a few hundred dollars, but it still turned out to be a good time. Somtimes it's good to just get away. Maybe more than sometimes. ;)

I have two stepsisters and one, unexpectedly, passed away last week. I was not close to her but I worry about my stepdad as well parents shouldn't have to bury their children -- and he only lost his wife (my mom) not even a year and a half ago. :(

Gas prices! Gas prices, gas prices! Yes, it sucks! Yes, it's ridiculous. But what sucks more and is more ridiculous is the war in Ukraine. I do my best to remember that when I find myself complaining...that's why I try not to complain. :-)

Las Vegas Raiders was driving drunk at a speed of 157 (purportedly) then decelerated to 127 MPH when he rear ended a young woman that ultimately killed her and her doggie. :( Lastly, 3.) The latest school mass shooting that ended the lives of five students and injured other students as well as a teacher. For the first time, that I think anyone is aware of anyway, the parents have been arrested and will be prosecuted as they could have prevented the tragedy. I think if this goes through it will send a loud message to those parents that think buying their kid(s) a gun is ok ESPECIALLY when the kid(s) could have psychological issues already going on. Oh, and a good friend of mine lost her uncle to covid. Sadly, he was NOT vaccinated. PLEASE get vaccinated and get that booster if you haven't already. America is already at almost 800,000 (sorry if I said 100,000 in the audio) lives gone due to covid-19! :(((((

It may be just about the end of September but it's not the end of ovarian cancer so it definitely not the end of the awareness for the horrible disease. I don't just spread awareness because I have gone through this cancer three times. Nope, I also do it for ALL those that have lost their lives to it. From the friends I have met along the way to the ones that died who were loved by friends. In particular, two dear friends that both lost their mother to this disease. :(

I will continue to advocate for as long as I'm still here. Until there is a cure or rather until women no longer die from it the conversation will keep going.

Haven't been cussed at or flipped off in over a week. That's something to celebrate! Still have some defiant passengers with not necessarily wanting to wear their masks properly but overall it's been better. Praise God! :)

Have you been following the story of the missing 22 year, Gabrielle Petito? Basically, her and her boyfriend went on a roadtrip and he returned to Florida but just not with her. Yep, so she's been missing and now they have found a body in Wyoming that they believe is her. :( More will definetly be coming out about this. I don't know about you but WAY TOO MANY stories of men killing their wives or girlfriends is quite depressing as well as something that angers me. LOVE DOES NOT EQUATE TO MURDER!

Lastly, shout out to two amazing passengers I met today. A lady that is a teacher at a college and is writing a book that she says will be out in Feb maybe and will send me a copy and a guy that has his clothing apparel -- kinglishapparel.com <---check them out, they have some nice shirts and hoodies. What a September it has been!

Please pray for our nation, and for the world. Just seems like evil is going around more and more. :(

Had some great ride share experiences but had a few not to great ones too. I share the not great ones more in the hopes that when you hear about it you get a good understanding of what us drivers have to go through. This last week I was called a "Karen" --- I don't like "Karens" becasue they are associated with white women that call the cops on those people of color that are black. And "Karen" is most likely a racist woman. I am not a "Karen" but because of me saying I'll call the cops IF THE PASSENGER DID NOT GET OUT OF MY VEHICLE and for no other reason that is what happened. The lady did not even let me explain why I said that to her daughter --- the daughter who was RUDE! And that's not cool. At least hear me out before making a poor judgment about me. :(

People should never call the cops on someone because they believe that someone is up to something bad based on the color of their skin. Ever!!! It is wrong and a waste of the police's time.

Calling the cops or saying I will call the cops if someone refuses to get out of my vehicle has zero to do with color and 1000% to do with me wanting to get on with my job as well as not feel uncomfortable or even unsafe because someone is refusing to get out of MY car when a ride has been cancelled.

Have I told you how rich you can be if you podcast? No? Probably because most podcasters aren't gonna get rich or even make much money. But yours truly has made almost $20. lol Good thing I'm not in it for the money. :)

Talking all things Olympics today. Yours truly is happy to report that I am getting better, stronger; however, now I have to wait for my vehicle as it has been recalled and the part (the engine) to fix it is on backlog. It could be the end of this month before I get it back, maybe sooner and even more later. That's been a real bummer. I know it's to fix a serious safety problem, but driving has been my main source of income. Frustrated. At the same time, it may what God wants as I need to continue to heal from the last six months of chemotherapy. You know?

Listen in as I talk about that and about this group of men that were in a standoff and were arrested in Massachusetts last weekend. They call themselves the rise of the moors. Very interesting at the same time pretty scary. It makes me wonder just how many groups, religions, cults are out there (across America) that have loads of weapons and are seemingly doing their own thing with not recognizing the US laws as laws that they don't have to follow????

Last thing guys, please keep safe. The Delta variant of the covid virus is nastier than the other ones. The rise of covid case and covid deaths is happening. Think about getting the vaccine, if you haven't and continue to be safe with wearing masks and just being smart and pro-active. We are not out of this pandemic yet, even if so many people are going around acting like we are. :(

The devastating collapse of the Miami condo, in Surfside Miami is still hurting my heart. I feel my heart will feel more and more pain as the days move on and more people are found. I just pray that there can be some miracles and people will be found alive. I know that the chances are small but we hold on to hope. Prayers for the loved ones as well as condolences to the loved ones of the nine that have been confirmed as dead. :(

I will never understand how ANYONE would think wishing someone dead is ok. Unless it was for true evil people -- i.e. Hitler, rapists, murderers, etc. And even then I don't know if I could ever WISH someone dead. But apparently she did. :(

Well guys, I is back! I didn't plan on not doing an episode for two weeks, but sometimes it bes that way. And for me it was due to the latest chemo treatment I had. It knocked me down! I was drained of every ounce of energy I had. And how awesome it is to feel alive again. I think this chemo fatigue lasted for a good 5 solid days. But atlas, I'm much better and wanted to give you an update on how I'm doing.

I'm also talking a little about what is going in India with this pandemic. Not good, at all! Please keep them in your prayers or send them good vibes, love and light. They definitely need that!

Also, no regrets, speaking about vaccines and masks. It just can't be avoided guys. The stuff going on today should be categorized as fiction. It's almost unbelievable how we Americans take things for granted while at the same time want to make something out of nothing. Like what the what?

This is not political. Nor should it be -- thought people do try to make it so.

I'm talking about vaccines and how we need to keep moving forward with people getting them. Yes, there have been people with adverse reactions and there have been deaths BUT when you look at the MILLIONS of people getting vaccinated you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning or winning the lottery or maybe winning the lottery then getting struck by lightning. I'm in NO WAY saying people who have died or been seriously affected are not important. Of course they are. I'm just saying that it's a slim to none chance YOU will die or get adverse reactions to the vaccine. And to keep in mind that EVERY medication has some possible side effect...even the stuff I'm on. It doesn't stop me from taking chemo though. Knowing the bad possible side effects and the slim chance it could really be not good for me. I will still take it. And I'll get the vaccine, once my body has recovered (completely) from shingles.

I'm also (YES AGAIN) talking about mask and the importance of continuing to wear them! Yes, yes, yes! It's STILL about protecting yourself and thinking about others. I know why Hope gotta be about being courtesy to others? ;-)

Alright so it's been almost a full month since I ended season 5 and I hope you guys didn't miss Talk Time with Hope too much. Ok, maybe I hope you did miss me...cause I maybe kind of sorta just a little missed y'all and doing my podcast thang! :-)

This season will have 23 episodes as it represents my age 23 and what was going on when I was that age. Which happened to be in Austin Texas. Well, I turned 23 when in Austin and did a year there. I loved the Hill Country and I sometimes wish I would have stayed there, but everything happens for a reason and it just wasn't meant to be.

Anywho, things are going well and I believe that is reflected in my voice. I'm happy to tell y''all that I got interviewed on a radio show and it was quite awesome! The show is PHLV -- which is connecting people of the Fillipino community. Really amazing group of people! And the hosts made me feel really awesome! One of the hosts that interviewed me is Josie, who is a co-founder (and cancer survivor) to Fillipino American Cancer Care. They are doing amazing things! And to be a guest on their show was such a blessing! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to spread much needed ovarian cancer awareness and sharing my story. Last thing I'm talking about is how people that are scared of their friend or family dying from cancer or anything really backing away from the person that may die. It's not about that person but rather the person that very well could die...why people don't get that it's quite selfish to back away or leave someone simply because it's too hard for them to handle the possibility of their loved one dying I can't understand. it's not about you it's about them. Be there for them. Period. Full stop. If you love them anyway. Yeah, I'm speaking of personal experience. I feel it's happened me and to others out there. Love is love, right? Love people through it all. And real love is being there for those you love. At least that's what I believe.

Sorry it took me so long to get this last episode of season 5 done. But things have been crazy! The second treatment seemed to be going well but then seemingly out of nowhere I got hit and hit hard by SHINGLES! Or as I refer to them as a piece of hell itself. Ok, maybe that's not what I have called them but just as I was typing this I did think that's what a piece of hell on earth would be like. The pain that comes with shingles is a new experience for me and that is saying a lot considering I've endured much pain in my young 50 years of life. Especially in the nine years dealing with cancer. I didn't know about shingles, but I do now. And everyone should too. Except for those that never had chicken pox for y'all be some blessed folk as you'll never get them. I forgot to mention that there is a vaccine for shingles for those 50 and older. I will look into after I'm better. I don't EVER want to go through this again.

Anywho, because of the far far far from lovely shingles chemo #3 has been pushed back a week. Which I am totally cool with. I need to heal about more before enduring the pain from chemo. And with it being #3 it could be worse than the previous two. Or hopefully maybe not. But even still, wouldn't want to have chemo until this rash and this horrid pain is more under control.

Alright, so you probably heard that Texas is lifting the mask mandate starting tomorrow. Yay, said most actual Texans. Especially those that lost a loved one to the virus. Another example of poor pathetic leadership. Like has it always been there and I just didn't pay attention cause I was living abroad or are these guys just getting worse and worse with age? I think I know the answer.

Was able to take my baby, Spunkey, to the vet. A vet that was recommended to me by a somewhat new friend, who loves animals, and a vet that didn't cost a leg and an arm. Praise God! Now, the only problem is the whole giving her her liquid medication. CATS DO NOT CARE TO BE GIVEN MEDICATION VIA A SYRINGE. Or really any other way aside from a shot (and I"m willing to bet they don't care for that either). It has been crazy trying to get her medicine without her foaming at the mouth not swallowing it. But I think I found a way. It involves a pillow case and a towel. Note: It does not involve her being harmed. I think I have finally understood the saying my mom would say to us, when she spanked us: "It hurts me than it hurts you." In this instance, it's more like "This is freaking me out more than it is you." Which, I'm willing to bet that she is still more freaked out than me as she's the one being held tightly in a pillowcase wrapped like a burrito while her human sticks a syringe in her mouth that releases gross stuff that makes her act like she was raised in the wild versus being a domestic cat all her almost eight years of existence. But. I. Digress. Now, wanted to talk about culture club...do you really want to hurt me and Karma, karma, karma, karma, karma chameleon You come and go, you come and go --- which until JUSTSECONDSAGO I always thought it was "comma comma comma comma chameleion" which the comma stood for come on. YES, I know I'm a dork! Have you not being paying attention. heehee But seriously, I'm really talking about this whole being talked about all the time "cancel culture" topic. I had a nice day today. I went for a walk and enjoyed the sunny warmer weather. I have problems with my knees, neck, back and shoulder so well it makes it to where I can't exercise like I used to and for very long. 😭 But I can still do something so that's what I'm grateful for. 😊 I talked about women a few episodes ago, that aren't so nice and about white privilege. Well time to talk about the men. I'm all about diversity. So, Ted Cruz is a such a...douchebag. And so is Tucker Carson. And so was Rush Limbaugh. These guys are mean spirited and liars. Rush was not a nice guy and he didn't care. I pray for his family as they lost him a few days ago. I pray for his soul too. These guys seem to get off on igniting anger from their followers. And it's like up there with sex sales. These are supposed to be Christian men. Ok, Ted Cruz isn't necessarily like the others BUT he sides with that former President and doesn't stand up for justice. So, the darn chemo has affected my mouth again and well it has me thinking I sound a bit English. I know my British friends won't like my British impressions but maybe they'll get a chuckle out of it. So, I'm trying something to see how it goes. A some reasons why: 1. I gotta be realistic with my financial responsibilities and though I've got donations (which I'm TRULY grateful for) it's not even half of the goal that is to help until June. And so doing some part time work maybe 3 days a week will help ensure my bills are paid. 2. I miss human interaction. It's been almost 3 months since I've worked and it was nice meeting people again. 3. My Spunkey has been throwing up and seems quite lately in a I feel she's not well and needs to see a vet. I lost her sister, Monkey, 4 months ago. I don't want to lose her. Maybe it's something that will pass or maybe it won't and I'll lose her too. But at least she can be seen and a vet can tell me what it may be. They were from the same litter, maybe that and their breed is prone to illness after age 7? But for cats that's not old. I just love her so much and losing Monkey gutted me. Then my mom. So I don't want to lose her. Praying whatever is going on is not serious. Please pray for my Spunkey. 🙏🏾 Driving for 3 days a week will help with unexpected situations...taking her to the vet being one of them. Although my friend blessed with some money I don't know how much the vet will be especially if they will need to run x-rays and blood work and what if she needs medication? It can be quite costly. Now, please note that I will assess how I feel before getting behind the wheel. If I have the energy, I'll do but if I don't, I won't. And if I ended up getting my goal met then of course of not drive. And maybe will have to join a group, online, to get that human interaction. And well if my oncologist tells me not to as it puts me too much in a risk of getting covid19 again, I'll not do it. But I think it's doable. People are way better at wearing their masks now than last year. And so I will be safe. I am strong and I'm kicking cancer's arse, so I'll be ok. 👊🏾🥊Last thing, people need to do better with not littering. Tune in hear what I mean and why I bring this up today. Alright so A LOT has happened since my last episode. Happy to report I'm, hopefully, over the hump of not so great side effects from the second chemo of this second recurrence, oh I pray last recurrence. The nausea was insane. And the muscle pain was excruciating. But I'm doing alright today. Now I am, all of Texas (and many states) are dealing with freak winter stuff. Yes, Texas is going through freak winter stuff. Freaskish. Stuff. Temperature record lows, like 1f degree when places like Tromso, Norway are at 25f. What the what????? It's been insane. Had to stay at my brother's place due to my place not having power or heat. Yes, I took my baby, Spunkey with me. :-) Oh and that dude that was the president got acquitted again. I know I touched base on my birthday in a previous episode, but I wanted to share with y'all why it's way more worth celebrating now than before cancer. And how I like to celebrate is not in a big to show kind of way. I like more low key and can quite frankly be good celebrating on my own. But one thing that is different is not having my mom here to even wish me happy birthday. She was almost always the first one for that, even when I lived overseas. I've had birthdays without her, but she was always a phone call away. And not having that is so hard on the heart. But I feel she sends me little nudges from heaven or has recently. Going to talk about, gonna shock y'all but not about politics or even anything in the news, losing friends. In particular, me losing a good friend recently. Not to dying or death, but rather to, well, I guess I rightly don't really know. If you were to know me on a personal level you would discover that friends mean the world to me. Friends are like family and some are just as if not closer to me than my actual family members. So, when I lose one it hurts a lot. I know I'm not the only one that feels that way. We love our friends. And when we lose them either due to doing something for that to happen or not knowing why it can tear at the heart. And maybe it would, but I have no time to get caught up in hurting over the loss of a friend. Why? One, I didn't do anything to cause the person I thought was my best friend to practically ghost me, to go radio silent for three weeks. And two, I'm battling cancer for the third time. I simply don't have time for that. I have to focus on being well, on getting healthy and that includes a good mental healthy way of life. Getting caught up in being down, being sad because the person I thought was "my person" in many ways walked away when I really could benefit from having them there or around while I go through what I'm going through would not be healthy for me. And really WHY spend time on someone that obviously saw our friendship so easy to walk away from? It was a shocker, it was hurtful. But that's life. It be what it be sometimes. And I know there are many out there that have been hurt by a friend or even friends so I know I'm not alone. Listen in for more. Stay safe and keep well.

Ok, this gal is about to turn 50! Yes, I know, I know, but you sound and look so young! Awe chucks, thanks guys! But seriously, you will never know grateful I am to STILL be here. Turning 50 means I am celebrating my 9th birthday from when I was first diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer. I looked at the statistics the other day and it shows that 15,000 women die each year from the disease. Which means that 135,000 women have died in the last nine years. Talk about survivors guilt! But then again you look at that and look at how many people have died from covid-19, which is 400,000! IN JUST ONE YEAR!!! But I digress. So, knowing how many women have died in the past nine years and me getting to celebrate another birthday, well, grateful really doesn't do it justice on how I feel. Moving on, have you heard of the young guy that turned in or tipping off the FBI about his father being part of the January 6th insurrection? Well, he was on CNN and other news outlets and now he has over 12,000 followers on Twitter. And, and, and he started a gofundme for himself. And it started out for $40,000. Yes, that is what he was going for. But then he moved it up more and then more and more and NOW his goal is for $100,000! You read that, heard that right! And I just feel that is not cool. I feel like he got greedy and is being quite selfish with taking advantage of people's kindness and generosity in a monetary manner. Guys, $100,000 for what? For doing the right thing?! Listen in and then let me know what you think. Is it just me that thinks him asking for that much is outrageous! Am I wrong? I'm not being jealous. It's not about him getting more and here I am a cancer patient and can't even get half of what my goal is. Ok, it is crazy that in ONE day he got $57,000 and in almost one month I got only almost $1,500. But it's not about jealousy. If I wasn't sick, I'd not have a gofundme out there and you better believe I would still be writing & saying all of this. Alright day 9 and feeling fineISH. As with all chemo, especially for late stage cancer, there will be side effects. And I gots them! Very glad I was able to speak where I can be understood, hopefully. 😉 If talking about cancer and chemo scares you please let it scare you to listen to your body and see a doctor if signs and symptoms persists for more than two weeks. Don't be like me, be better and don't ignore what your body is telling you. Early detection, diagnosis, is WAY better than late. Trust me! Now, what the what happened at Capitol Hill? We thought we knew but guys it's even worse. I'm gonna share what I've learned. Plenty of news outlets to get your info from and all are sharing the same SHOCKING stuff. Guys I'm (as those that have listened in know) very passionate about things and what happened in D.C. can't and shouldn't be forgotten just because it's over. It's not about just moving on. My apologies for not doing any episodes for over a month. To say the end of 2020 was bad is an understatement. The surgery to remove cancer was a success; however, on November 29th I lost my best friend, my rock, my prayer warrior, my mom. And she died from complications due to covid-19. 😡😩🥺😢😔 It happened suddenly and unexpectedly. It devastated all of us. And it has taken me some time to get to a place where I would speak about it or her without crying. I was also not in a good place health wise as I got covid19 too and at the same time I was still healing from surgery. But I'm better now. I will begin chemo treatment next Thursday. Got my boxing gloves 🥊🥊 and ready to kick some cancer arse! And ready to get back into podcasting! I have been having some lower back pain, more than usual, and some muscle spasms in my back shoulder. Took some muscle relaxers and I was out for the count. Thus, I didn't do an episode. I feel like this year celebrating the 4th of July is just not the same. How can it be when we are dealing with all we are dealing with. I know I'm not alone in this feeling. Don't get me wrong.
