PaK-Zer0
Born in 1984, this headbanger bearded guy started with music at young age. From classical music to folk, from rock/punk to metal, and a tapestry of bands and differents styles. He started to mess with drum patterns in late nineties with music trackers. In 2006 started to experiment with electronic music and two years after he rediscovered music trackers with littlegptracker, a tracker for handheld devices and then an old/new genre: chipmusic. The rest is what you hear.
Last track of 2019! Another anniversary compo from CulturaChip that made me get my gp2x out of the dust again. This time I tried to come out with something different from my usual style.
This time I did a kvlt chipmetal track, as a tribute to vile_plume, who was one of the first (if not the first) to write songs in this black metal meets chiptune crossover style. I owe a lot also to Darkthrone's Transylvanian Hunger which influence is undeniable.
Also worth to mention I've been learning swedish this past months and I thought that would be a nice exercise to write lyrics for the track in this language, hopefully my pronunciation and knowledge will get better with time hehe.
Kudos to Hexawe for the samplepack I've used this time (Turntnes compo) and Caotix for the picture of the cover.
Último tema de 2019! Otra compo de cumpleaños de CulturaChip que me hace desempolvar mi gp2x de nuevo. Esta vez he intentado sacar algo fuera de mi estilo usual.
Esta vez he hecho un tema chipmetal kvlt, como tributo a vile_plume, quien fuese de los primeros (si no el primero) en escribir canciones en este cruce estilístico entre el chiptune y el black metal. Le debo también muchísimo al Transylvanian Hunger de Darkthrone cuya influencia es innegable.
También cabe mencionar que he estado aprendiendo sueco estos últimos meses y pensé que sería un buen ejercicio escribir una letra para el tema en este idioma, con suerte mi pronunciación y conocimientos mejorarán con el tiempo jejeje.

Thanks to Irrlitch Project for creating his yawp ZX Spectrum 1bit sound engine, Rolemusic for putting the compo together and Caotix for the extra patience and early criticism. This tracks isn't really too much of a piece of music, in fact it seems like I'm repeating myself forever but otherwise is a magnificient experiment with a experimental chipmusic engine as yawp is.

In December 2015, the four of us who ran Datathrash (Arnie/Abandoned on Fire, Chad/Optimus Chad, Kevin/d_strct/e.s.c., & Michael/Nestrogen) decided after some discussion that the label had run it's course and it was time to shut things down so we could all focus on our own projects. We knew some people would miss the label, but we were a little surprised by exactly how many people we had touched with the label and who reached out to us with farewell messages even going to the point where a group of artists simply wouldn't let us go out quietly and took it upon themselves to organize a compilation in memoriam of Datathrash. Thanks to SuperBustySamuraiMonkey for organizing this compilation of tracks and to all the artists who contributed, we are happy to now share them all with you. All good things must end someday, and we're truly honored to know that our work was appreciated by so many people. Thanks for making sure that the spirit of Datathrash can live on through music, even though the label itself has ended. Keep music evil. - Kevin

A bit of an old track, but I never uploaded it before, so here I go.
This track is the love sister of my previous AY effort, SCYT4L3. That track was dedicated to the raddest bot on the IRC, and this one is dedicated to a few assholes on the chiptune/chipmusic scene. You know who they are, if don't just nevermind and imagine every bastard you had to deal with and the feeling would be the same. Electrovodka is a "brand new genre" based on the electro 125/128 bpm, four on the floor drum patterns with growling bass and screeching leads, the three AY channels hitting the bassdrum at the same time and every possible trick I learned from the AY scene, plenty of russian/east europe vodka warriors, hence the name.
Nevermind the vodka, here is DR34D G0BL1N!
Un tema un poco viejito ya, pero no lo había subido, así que allá voy.
Esta canción es la hermana querida de mi anterior esfuerzo para el chip AY, SCYT4L3. Ese tema estaba dedicado al bot más crema en el IRC, y esta está dedicada a un puñado de capullos de la escena chiptune/chipmusic. Ya sabes quienes son, y si no lo sabes olvídate, imagina a cualquier bastardx con el que hayas tenido que lidiar y le experiencia será la misma. Electrovodka es un "género nuevo" basado en el electro a 125/128 bpm, patrones de batería four on the floor con bajos gruñoes y melodías chirriantes, los tres canales del AY pegándole al bombo a la vez y todos los trucos posibles que he aprendido de la escena AY, plagado de guerrerxs del vodka, de ahí el nombre.
Olvidad el vodka, ¡aquí está DR34D G0BL1N!
