We desire to provide a space for people who are disconnected from the church and have an interest in exploring who Jesus is and what it might mean to follow Him. We aspire to be authentic about who we are so that we can grow into a genuine faith. Being real is more important than being perfect.
How is it that we are called to "fear" God and yet God also instructs us, even commands us, to not fear! What can we learn from this about God, ourselves, and how He invites us to live.

In this surprising encounter between Moses and God, Moses's fears are exposed in response to God choosing and sending Moses to go and deliver the Hebrew people. It seems to matter little that Moses is in the presence of His Creator. His fears are still very real! God's response reveals volumes about what God is like.
What does it mean to be devoted to Jesus first in our relationships? Matthew 10: 21-36.
In a time when the church is often hearing about things that it did wrong, some of them terribly wrong, there is hope in remembering that Jesus Himself is good news and invites us to express that good news to others in deed and word.
We have been reminded again this week of the dark legacy of the residential school system in Canada. How does what we have been reading in Matthew shape our understanding of what reconciliation might look like and what can we do to be part of that?
This is the Celebration of Pentecost - the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon humanity by the ascended Jesus. We sometimes forget that the Holy Spirit is a person - the Spirit of God Himself. Consider this question: How have you experienced the work of the Holy Spirit in your life lately? The Gospel of Matthew gives us one account after another of ordinary people reaching out to Jesus and experiencing life-changing consequences as a result.
