In this episode of the Psychoeducation Podcast, I called up Sara Battista. Sara is a dear friend and colleague who specializes in eating disorders, and my first guest in pilot episode. We recorded that episode just a few weeks before the COVID19 virus became a pandemic in the United States. Since people started socially isolating, I have heard from friends, clients, patients and also experienced first hand, a change in my relationship to food and exercise. That’s why I decided to record this special follow up episode with Sara to hear what she had to say about being mindful and healthy during this time.

Sometimes mental health work leads to candid conversations around some pretty uncomfortable topics like emotions, trauma, self-harm, suicide, or things of that nature. If you are easily triggered by intense topics, it is recommended that you refrain from listening to this podcast, or listen to it with a loved one who can support you. While not every episode will focus on intense topics like these, they may get referenced in a casual way.
