Even in the life of a believer it is inevitable that we will come upon something unexpected. But not every unexpected happening in our life is of the Devil. Sometimes it’s of God but it’s important for us to know the difference.
We’ve been enduring some hardships this year but in order to bounce back we’re going to need some resilience and faith.
Don’t look at what little you have to offer God as worthless. God honors the little that we have to offer.
If we call ourselves believers then everyday we need to put on our spiritual clothing to look like what we say we are.
Our lives need to reflect the word of God. How we walk in this life should be a testimony to who God is.
There are lots of voices in our lives that will try and cause us to be fearful. However, we can either choose fear or choose faith.
As believers we are entitled to certain benefits but if we don’t know the word of God we won’t know what those benefits are.
Because the heart determines what we see and how we see, it’s important that we guard our hearts and our mindful of what we allow our hearts to consume.
As believers we can’t just go anywhere and do anything we must be planted in good ground to produce good fruit.
Change isn’t always comfortable but it is good. And God is with us when things change whether they seem good or bad.
As we desire for God to do a work in our life it is important that we create an atmosphere for change to come.
There is a purpose for your past. But we should not allow our past to hinder us from moving in the future. Let your past propel you to your purpose.
Mothers play an intricate part in their children’s lives. But it is important that as a mother we not only love them but learn to release them, respect them or risk losing them.
This is a season of preparation. What do we do during this season? How do we use this season to get one step closer to what God has for us?
Whether they’re biological or spiritual, we need our sisters. Those relationships can be essential in us getting to where God desires for us to be.
Our relationship and connection with the Lord should be stronger than what we're going through. We should focus more on God rather than the problem.
From this Easter Sunday sermon. What is the cross that we have to take up daily in order to follow Jesus?
This is the first sermon we posted to Facebook on 03/29/20 where we are challenged to examine what things we may be attached to in our lives. Are they earthly attachments or spiritual?
It’s not enough for us as believers to walk away from experiences with just a greater knowledge but also wisdom.
As believers we should be more concerned with following God rather than trends. As well as understanding the difference between the two.
Jesus says that if anyone desires to be a leader we must serve. And in addition to serving we must also sacrifice. These are just apart of the cost of leadership.
There is so much that we think we need in this life to be successful, or even to please God. But in reality we may not need as much as we think so.
Solomon asked God for wisdom. So when we pray what are we asking for? Are we asking God for the basic needs of life? Or are we digging deeper and asking according to the spirit?
One of the things we can’t have going into 2020 is fear. And the keys to not having fear of the future is knowing and trusting in God and believing His word.
When God called Jonah to Nineveh to preach and Jonah attempted to run and hide God allowed him to be swallowed by a whale. So God will do whatever’s necessary in order to get us to walk according to what He has called us to do.
Going back home can be hard but if that’s where God is calling you, you can’t allow fear or what it looks like to hinder you from it.
Whatever God calls us to do He will ensure that we have all we need to do it, we simply need to make ourselves available for what He’s going to do in and through us,
The present day pressures of life can cause us as believers to go back to the old way. But instead of allowing the pressures of the present to send us back let us submit it to the Lord so He can allow us to move forward.
Luke 8:1-15 An honest and good heart is what we need as believers in order to produce good fruit for the kingdom as well as live a life that reflects the God we serve.
This message is brought to you by Elder William Thompson. Give thanks to God always. Regardless of our situation, we can find a reason to give thanks. And as we take time to give thanks for all God has done for us let us also remember to give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We all have a past. And that past can either impact our decisions for the good or the bad. In order to make the right decisions there’s a process we need to work through to get to where God wants us to be.
Like clothes in a washer each person is different with a unique purpose. And, just like our clothes need washing so do we as believers.
Mark 6:1-6 People around us will recognize what God is doing in us but they won’t always respect it. Jesus encountered this as well when he returned to his hometown to minister. In this sermon Pastor Robinson helps answers the question what do you do when others don’t respect what God is doing in you?
James 1:2-8 The testing that we must endure to obtain patience is challenging and uncomfortable however it’s necessary so like the word says we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Daniel 6. As believers when we live a life fully submitted to God, the enemy will come to press us. But God is able to get the best out of you during those trying times in your life.
Philippians 3:13 Out with the old and in with the new applies to the natural as well as the spiritual. Spiritually we must let go of the old things to be in a position to receive the new things.
In our desire to move forward in life we sometimes will have to take a step backwards. That was the case in Naaman’s situation when he desired to be healed of his leprosy. 2 Kings 5
It can be easy for us to focus our attention on the outer look of things and people. But it’s not the outside that matters as much as we tend to think but Christ on the inside.
There are times in life when even as Christians we may feel overwhelmed or that sense of panic. However in those times or when those moments occur it’s important not only to seek God but remember His faithfulness towards us in the past and learn to trust in His character.
It is important as believers that we do not allow ourselves to be drawn away by false teachings. The enemy continues to trick and deceive all those he can so we must stay in the word of God to know and understand the truth of God and His word. Genesis 3:1-7 2 Corinthians 11:1-15 1 John 4:1-3
The times in which we live appear to be getting worse. But maybe the times are as dark as they are so you can shine at your brightest.
Our past is something that doesn’t go away once we give our lives to Jesus. However, it is not something that should hinder or hold us hostage in the present moment. So in this message by Pastor Robinson, she gives the answer go the question,what do I do with my past?
Mark 8:1-8 The message from the sermon “Feed My Sheep” is a reminder to us as believers to realize that although we are with Jesus we still need to be fed. And we need not neglect our brothers and sisters in Christ assuming that they are well just because we are followers of Christ and seem to be ok.
In the message entitled “Lord Revive Us Again”, Pastor Robinson makes it known that we should ask God to revive us again so that we do not grow complacent in our walk with Him.
In the world today it’s easy for us to follow the crowd and hold on to anger against those who mistreat us. However as believers we are called to live above that and not get tired of doing good and being nice.
Pastor Robinson poses the question, what season are you in? Are you in a season of cutting or pruning and do you know the difference? We find our answers in John 15.
2 Peter 2:5-8 encourages us to add or build onto our salvation. We build our faith on the word of God.
As believers it is important for us to realize that God does not operate the same way for one as He does for the other. We make things hard on ourselves when we focus and compare what God is doing for our neighbor and rather than focusing on what He is doing for us in our own lives.
Just two days after the tragedy in Virginia Beach, Pastor Robinson reminds us that as believers we have a responsibility to carry out the word of God and seek His face as to what He would desire us to do during these perilous times.
