With unwavering determination, she has ignited policy shifts within both Central and State governments, advocating for the inclusion of Dalit women in policy formulation. Beena J Pallical is an Intersectional Feminist and Dalit women Leader and currently General Secretary, National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR)-DAAA. For the past five years, her energy has been channeled into enabling youth to access education, yielding scholarships for over 1 lac students across 10 states. She also holds the helm of the Asia Dalit Rights Forum, ensuring Dalit concerns reverberate on both regional and global platforms. A member of the board at Victims Advocate International, Beena champions intersectionality as the bedrock for women's economic freedom and gender equality.

Her impact resonates globally, notably through her work with UN mechanisms like OHCHR in Geneva and the High Level Political Forum in New York. As a pioneering Dalit woman, she has been a frontrunner in the sustainable development goals, emphasizing marginalized voices and equitable financial management for their attainment. With fervent dedication, she embodies the ethos of change through capacity building, representation, and a gender-focused lens.

He is currently President of Center for Study of Society and Secularism, Mumbai. John Carrillo has more than 40 years of experience in facility management and corporate real estate at technology-related companies. John just retired as Director, Planning, Design and Construction, West Region for AT&T. Responsibilities included project management oversight of 40M square feet for the 13 western U.S. states and Guam. His team included facility/project managers, alliance architectural and engineering firms, general contractors, and technical consultants, who managed several thousand capital and expense infrastructure replacement and repair projects totaling up to US$250M per year. As Director of Property Management for AT&T John developed a preventive maintenance program for 20,000 buildings.

Before AT&T, Carrillo worked in the Corporate Real Estate – Aircraft Division at Northrop Grumman. Over the course of his career, he has managed as many as 1,500 FM employees, developed strategic programs, built a missile factory, decommissioned a nuclear reactor and managed large seismic retrofit projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.

A frequent presenter at various global FM association events, Carrillo has also prepared and presented coursework on FM/real estate and ISO 9001 quality processes. John is currently doing global virtual presentations on the topics of digitization technology in the workplace, post pandemic FM trends, and sustainability & resilience focus for the built environment. Mr. Carrillo is Past Chair of IFMA Global Board and is current Liaison for ISO/TC-267.

John Carrillo was elected by the Global FM Board of Directors as Chair of Global FM (two-year term) which started on 1st of February, 2021.

Founded on 1st of July, 2006, Global FM – Global Facility Management Association is a worldwide Federation of member-centric organizations, committed to providing leadership in the Facilities Management profession. As a single, unite entity promoting Facilities Management, Global FM is a conduit for furthering the advancement, knowledge and understanding of Facilities Management and the sharing of best practices, resulting in added value to the individual members of each member organization.

During the last year and one-half, Global FM membership has grown from 8 to 14 member-centric associations. The current list of FM Association members are as follows: ABRAFAC – Brasil, FMA – Australia, FMANZ – New Zealand, HFMS – Hungary, IFMA – Headquarters in Texas, U.S., IWFM – Great Britain, MEFMA – United Arab Emirates, SAFMA – South Africa, TRFMA – Turkey, APAFAM – Panama, ACFM – Catalana, Spain, EGYFMA – Egypt, AFMPN – Nigeria, SFMA – Saudi.
Carrillo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from California State Polytechnical University in 1975. In 1986, he earned an Advanced Management Certificate from Claremont University Graduate School and in 1996 he was awarded his ISO 9001 Registrar Team Certification. He earned his IFMA Fellowship award in 2006. His significant contributions to the FM industry have been recognized by IFMA and other organizations, such as the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE), and the Western Construction Consumer Council (WCCC).

Known as a monumental figure in the realm of education and psychology, Dr. Strayhorn has dedicated his life to deepening our understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, or as we know it, DEIB. His insights have earned him a spot among the country's 'Top Diversity Scholars' by Diverse Issues in Higher Education, and he's widely recognized as a 'Bridge-Builder' between academic and student affairs.

Dr. Strayhorn's contributions to the field are both extensive and profound. He has authored 12 books, including the award-winning 'College Students' Sense of Belonging', and over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and academic publications. His ground-breaking research has not only garnered over $10 million in support from premiere agencies like the Lumina Foundation and National Science Foundation but has also found its way into numerous respected publications such as The Washington Post and The Chronicle of Higher Education.

In addition to his scholarly work, Dr. Strayhorn wears multiple hats. He's the President and CEO of Do Good Work Consulting Group, where he partners with a multitude of institutions to bolster their culture and inclusivity. He's also a professor of Education and Psychology and the Director of the Center for the Study of HBCUs at Virginia Union University, leading their 'Belonging Lab'.

His influence extends to being a Diversity Scholar-in-Residence at Harrisburg Area Community College, a Fellow of AGB's Institute for Leadership & Governance, and an active member of several non-profit boards. Notably, he's a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

Simon Fanshawe OBE is a renowned diversity consultant, broadcaster, and author. With a passion for promoting inclusivity, he co-founded Diversity by Design, an organization dedicated to helping companies achieve true diversity in their senior leadership teams. In December 2021, Simon published his latest book, "The Power of Difference – where the complexities of diversity and inclusion meet practical solutions," which received critical acclaim. His expertise and contributions to the field led to him being voted the second Most Influential Thinker in 2022 by HR Magazine.

Currently, Simon serves on the Board of Powerful Women and holds the position of Chairman at Hexagon Housing Association. He has previously held prestigious roles such as Chairman of Sussex University, non-executive director of Housing & Care 21, Governor of the Museum of London, and Board member of Brighton Dome & Festival. Dr. Craig Knight is Founder and Director of Identity Realization Limited (IDR), a commercial organization based in Scotland with strong connections to blue chip industry.  Dr Knight retains research links with global universities.  Working with various organizations, this combination of commercial focus and scientific application has seen Craig help realize increases in well-being of up to 40%, productivity of up to 32% and effective intelligence of up to 19%.

Craig has been at the forefront of Covid research projects. His commercial, post-doctoral research points to what people need to thrive when working from home and in the third space, as well as what the new, post-pandemic workplace must provide. 

Craig applies evidence-based science to improve leadership, employee retention, and the impact of design and management. Craig is a Chartered, Registered Doctor of Psychologist who has operated at Director and Managing Director levels across business leadership, design and consultancy sectors since the turn of the millennium.

• the development of open decision making

Dr. Robin DiAngelo is an Affiliate Associate Professor of Education at the University of Washington. In addition, she holds two Honorary Doctorates. She is a two-time winner of the Student’s Choice Award for Educator of the Year at the University of Washington’s School of Social Work. She is the co-author of the award-winning textbook: Is Everyone Really Equal: An Introduction to Key Concepts in Social Justice Education. In 2011 she coined the term White Fragility in an academic article which has influenced the international dialogue on race. Her book, White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard For White People To Talk About Racism was released in June of 2018 and debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List, where it remained for over three years and has been translated into 12 languages. It has now been adapted for young adults. Her follow-up book, released in June of 2021, is: Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm. Her latest book is The Facilitator's Guide for White Affinity Groups: Strategies For Leading White People in an Anti-Racist Practice. Her work or interviews have been featured in the New York Times, The Guardian, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NPR, PBS, and The BBC, among many other forums. In addition to her academic work, Dr. DiAngelo has been a consultant, educator and facilitator for over 20 years on issues of racial and social justice.

She is the former Head of Business Operations Management for North America at StubHub, where she was responsible for business planning and operations to manage and oversee technical internal and external metrics, product innovation, and partnerships and drive P&L results across the company. Prior to StubHub, she served as Lead Counsel at Facebook doing legal work supporting Connectivity Labs to build drones, lasers, and satellites. During her Facebook tenure, she also built the company's Supplier Diversity Program.

She has served as an advisor to startups in the enterprise and e-commerce space, including Blavity (and AfroTech), Bandwagon, Owl (acquired by CallPass), and Telepath. She recently gave congressional testimony on bias in AI in financial services in Feb. 2020. Her book, Diversity in the Workplace: Eye-Opening Interviews to Jumpstart Conversations About Identity, Privilege, and Bias, was released on March 31, 2020, and she is awaiting her second book to be published, detailing her experience as a Black woman from Oakland working in tech in the heart of the Valley.

Jeremy has over 25 years of professional experience FM and Hospitality, working both client side and service provider side across the hospitality, utilities, defence, and energy sectors. He started his FM journey back in the early 1990’s and have held various management roles during that time working with companies like Norweb, North West Water, United Utilities and Vertex.

In 2007, Jeremy joined EMCOR UK as a Key Account Director to lead their aerospace and defence business delivering integrated facilities services in highly complex manufacturing, production and R&D environments supporting mission critical products. Rory is the Commercial Director for VINCI Facilities, the £425m Facilities business of VINCI Construction UK, who deliver Facilities Management and Building Solutions work to a range of Public and Private sector clients throughout the UK.

Rory has responsibility for the commercial and financial performance of VINCI Facilities along with leading the supply chain strategy for the business.

A strong advocate for Sustainability and the importance of ESG Rory is always keen to promote the strategic importance and relevance of Facilities Management within the built environment and has been key in the development of VINCI Facilities responsible business activities and community support.

Having started his career in 1987 as a trainee Quantity Surveyor with Taylor Woodrow Construction, Rory progressed his career over the next 20 years across various roles and projects to ultimately become the Commercial Director responsible for all complex residential work within the UK. In 2008, following the acquisition of Taylor Woodrow Construction by VINCI Construction UK, Rory was appointed as the Commercial Director for the newly formed VINCI Facilities brand, a role he has held ever since.

A Fellow of the RICS, Rory is a keen supporter of the Institution and has helped develop a number of guidance notes and case studies within the RICS. Rory has chaired various FM events throughout the years including the 2020 Virtual RICS FM conference and World Workplace in Barcelona in conjunction with IFMA in 2018.

Rory was a former member of the RICS World Regional Board for the UK & Ireland and is also the chair of the FM Professional Group. Neil Carberry was appointed as Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in June 2018 having been managing director at the Confederation of British Industry, leading the CBI’s work on the labour market, skills, energy and infrastructure.  In 1999, Neil began his career in recruitment working for executive search firm Fraser Watson before doing a post-graduate degree in Human Resources at the London School of Economics and joining the CBI in 2004. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a Fellow of the RSA. He is a member of the council of the conciliation service ACAS and a former member of the Low Pay Commission, which recommends UK minimum wages. A three-time nominee to the SIA staffing100 in Europe, he is also on the board of the World Employment Confederation and a primary academy trust in Oxfordshire. Mike Adamson is Chief Executive of the British Red Cross, the country’s leading voluntary crisis response organisation, and part of the worldwide Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Mike is responsible for all of the British Red Cross’ UK and International work. Prior to his current appointment, he held several other senior positions within BRC, including Managing Director of Operations. Mike has also worked as a Director of Commissioning in the NHS and spent five years as Managing Director for Services at another national charity. He began his career as an economist in management consultancy.

Martin has been a regular speaker and facilitator at FM conferences around the world since the 1980s and a prolific writer of articles and white papers on facilities management. His “What FM’s Do” mindmap has been used by FM organisations, magazines and educational establishments all over the world.

Awards include seven from the British Institute of Facilities Management including two for FM Journalism and being named by FM World as one of the 20 FM Pioneers. Anne has been part of the facilities management story since the early 1980s. In her long career, which started in the late 1960s as a live-in cleaner, she has worked both client and supply side, in both private and public sectors and has managed a diverse range of facilities including laboratories, hospitals, universities, offices, leisure sites, manufacturing plant, retail and media facilities.

In 2007 Lennox-Martin was voted one of the most influential women in FM according to FM World and in 2013 she was presented with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management award for Profound Impact on the FM Industry.

She was one of the original seven students to obtain a Masters Degree in Facilities and Environmental Management at University College London in 1994 and the first Fellow of the BIFM to be awarded their professional qualification in 2002. She was a founder member of Women in FM in 2005 and remains active in supporting various BIFM groups.

In 2007 she was selected as one of the 20 most influential women in FM in the UK by the magazine, FM World. She was a founder member of WIFM

In 2013 she was awarded the Profound Impact on the FM Industry Award by the BIFM and in 2014 was given Fellowship status of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

She co-authored the BIFM Good Practice Guide to Customer Service in 2010.

Anne published her autobiography "Self-Made Woman" to celebrate her transition into retirement. Self-Made Woman covers her early years, including her pioneering work with the National Council for the Unmarried Mother and Her Child, now known as Gingerbread, and her move into the then fledgling FM sector. It talks about how she developed her career in FM and how the sector differs from today.

Liz Barclay is the Small Business Commissioner for the UK. She has a background in broadcasting and journalism specialising in small business, personal finance and consumer affairs and is author of several business books. Benjamin – found on social media as @antlerboy – has been in public service reform and organizational effectiveness for over 20 years, and is passionate about the systems | complexity | cybernetics field. He describes himself as business evolutionary and avid learner, all of which he traces back to science fiction, studying philosophy (with politics and economics at Oxford University), and being an outsider despite his privilege.

He began in a frontline role and then became Adviser to Leader in a London borough council and a career in public service consultancy through PwC, Sector Projects (part of Capita). He set up Red Quadrant, a network consultancy, in 2009 with the goal of transforming public services and disrupting consulting. In 2016, Benjamin established the Public Service Transformation Academy, a not-for-profit social enterprise which builds the capacity of public services to transform themselves.

Benjamin curates and shares everything to do with systems/complexity/cybernetics at the Systems Community of Inquiry, hosts and supports and engages with many social media groups and systems societies, and is a Fellow of the Cybernetics Society and a Director of Systems and Complexity in Organisation, the systems practitioner professional body. In that capacity, he has supported the development of the UK’s level seven (post-grad) systems thinking practitioner apprenticeship. He is writing two systems thinking books, one for Routledge and one for Triarchy Press, and recording two podcasts: Transduction, the systems, cybernetics, and complexity podcast (I have come to sing songs to your cat), and Joy and Work: leading service transformation.

Matt Hyde is Chief Executive of the Scouts, the UK’s largest coeducational youth movement. Formerly Chief Executive of the National Union of Students (NUS), he has undertaken a number of leadership roles in the charity sector and as Chief Executive of the Scouts has contributed to a period of record membership growth since he joined in 2013.  He has overseen the development and delivery of a rebrand, award-winning campaigns and has spearheaded work to support the growth of Scouting in areas of deprivation.

Matt is also a trustee of Comic Relief, a Patron of UNLOCK (the charity for people with convictions) and was previously Vice-Chair of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).  He developed the world’s first degree apprenticeship for social change which launched at Queen Mary University of London in 2019. 

Matt was awarded an OBE in the 2020 New Years Honours List and an Honorary Fellowship from Queen Mary University of London in 2012. He was named as one of the 25 most influential charity sector leaders by Charity Times in 2019.

Dawn is Chair of the Kiln Theatre in London, and Vice Chair of the London Marathon Charitable Trust.  She is a Director of the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission (FFCC) and a member of the Advisory Boards of the Institute of Policy Research at the University of Bath and RAND Europe. 

Dawn was the Chief Executive of The National Lottery Community Fund from 2013-2020 where she responsible for the effective distribution of c£600m of National Lottery funding each year and for delivering the Fund’s Strategic Framework, People in the Lead.

Prior to joining the Fund, Dawn was Chief Executive of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and was previously Deputy Director of the British Museum, Project Director for Tate Modern and a Principal Consultant at KPMG. She began her career in fringe theatre.

She was previously a Trustee of the Historic Royal Palaces and of the Woodland Trust. She has an MBA from the London Business School and an honorary doctorate from London Metropolitan University.  She was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Queen Mary University in 2019 where she also chairs SKETCH, a student led initiative to develop local social enterprises.

John C. Rood John Rood has over 30 years of experience in national security positions in the U.S. Government and the private sector in international business and aerospace and defense. He served as a senior official at the Defense Department, State Department, White House/National Security Council, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), in Congress as a staffer in the U.S. Senate, and as an executive at Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Mr. Rood has been an Associate at SMA consulting since March 2020

In addition to his work at SMA, Mr. Rood serves as Chairman of the Board and Security Director of Radisson Hospitality, Inc. He is also CEO of John Rood and Associates LLC where he assists clients with growth strategies and government relations in the U.S. and overseas. From January 2018 to February 2020, Mr. Rood served as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy where he led formulation and coordination of national security policy within the Department of Defense as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense for such matters. He managed a team of over 2,100 civilians and military service members and was responsible for building partnerships and defense cooperation with U.S. allies, including overseeing the $55B foreign military sales program and export controls

Mr. Rood managed implementation of strategies, including the National Defense Strategy resulting in a new focus on addressing the implications of growing competition among the world’s great powers. He oversaw development of a new cyber strategy, authorities, and approach; a space strategy for the newly-established Space Force; completion of the Missile Defense Review; Nuclear Posture Review; and a counter-terrorism strategy for the defeat of ISIS. Prior to serving as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Mr. Rood worked for nearly a decade in the private sector. From March 2016 to January 2018, he was Senior Vice President of Lockheed Martin International where he was a corporate officer and direct report to the Chairman and CEO charged with leading business growth and industrial partnerships in more than 70 countries. He also served as Vice President for Corporate Domestic Business Development at Lockheed Martin. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Rood was VP for U.S. Business Development at Raytheon from 2009 to 2014, where he managed teams in Washington, DC and 28 field offices responsible for growing the business, preparing market assessments, and managing customer relationships

From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Rood served at the State Department as Acting Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security. He was responsible for policy on countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and missiles, arms control, nuclear weapons, security cooperation with other nations, and export controls. He also served as Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation. In two tours at the White House/National Security Council from 2005 to 2006 and 2001 to 2003, he served under President George W. Bush as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterproliferation Strategy, and Director for Proliferation Strategy, Counterproliferation, and Homeland Defense

From 2003 to 2005, Rood served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Forces Policy, where he was responsible for the development and oversight of policy and programs related to U.S. nuclear and conventional strategic forces, missile defenses, and space systems. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rood worked as Senior Policy Advisor to Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona and as a Fellow for Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi on the Senate Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on International Security. From 1988 to 1999, Rood served in a variety of positions as an analyst at the CIA, including following missile programs in foreign count

Cheryl is the Executive Director HMPPS, responsible for Prison Reform. She joined the MOJ in 2013  with over 30 years Business and Commercial experience gained from the Private and Public Sectors. Susan Sutherland is the head of market intelligence for JLL’s Corporate Solutions product organization. In this role, she leads a global team that researches key factors that drive product strategy – around market opportunities, competitor analysis, industry trends and more.

Previously, she spent over 5 years as the Head of Corporate Solutions Research for Asia Pacific at JLL, based in Singapore. In this role, she oversaw global and regional research and consultancy projects around trends and themes that impact corporate real estate, including the future of work and flexible workspace. She also co-led JLL’s regional research on flexible space, and has led direct client engagement with investor and corporate clients around Asia Pacific on the topic. Susan has presented at numerous industry forums, including IFMA, RICS, Corenet and the Coworking Forum, and has been interviewed by trade and business press including the Business Times and Straits Times (Singapore), Nikkei Asian Review and Korea Economy Chosun.

Prior to JLL, Susie worked for over 8 years for McKinsey and Company in the United States and United Kingdom, latterly as a research specialist for the infrastructure and real estate practice, working with clients around the world and across the property life cycle.

Susan holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Wellesley College (USA) and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (USA).

Shelagh J Legrave OBE DL Shelagh Legrave has been Principal & Chief Executive of Chichester College since September 2010 and became Chief Executive of Chichester College Group in 2017. Prior to this she was the Chief Operating Officer for the College since April 2003. Chichester College Group is a £65m General Further Education college group following mergers with Crawley College and Worthing College. It is due to open Haywards Heath College in 2020. Its vision is to ‘Change lives through learning’ through meeting the needs of students in West Sussex. Its provision includes A Level and vocational courses from level 1 through to Higher National Diplomas and 3 degree programmes. The Group has a strong international reputation for which it was awarded the Queens Anniversary Prize for Higher & Further Education in 2005 and trains 1,000 overseas students annually. It was graded Outstanding at its last Ofsted inspection in 2020. Prior to working at Chichester, Shelagh spent five years as Director of Finance at Roehampton University, London and before that, eleven and a half years in the City of London with the investment banking arm of NatWest where her last position was as Deputy Chief Financial Officer to the global financial markets division.

Following a BA in History and Theology at Durham University, Shelagh spent six years as an officer in the Women’s Royal Army Corps. She is a qualified accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She chairs the Trustees of Stonepillow, a charity helping the homeless and is a trustee of a number of small charities. She also is Chair of Governors for Bourne Community College. Her interests include running, tennis and music. Shelagh was awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2015 and appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for West Sussex in the same year.

As VCSE Representative, Claire acts as an intermediary between government and the voluntary sector to champion the Social Value Act and an improvement in commissioning practices. Claire was appointed as VCSE Crown Representative in February 2018. As a key player in the social enterprise movement for over 30 years she brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Claire has led the award-winning Blackburne House since its inception. From December 2007 to January 2017 Claire was Chair of Social Enterprise UK (SEUK). She is a member of the Alder Hey Hospital Trust and, until recently, was a Board Member for the Charity Commission. She has chaired the Liverpool Fairness Commission on behalf of Liverpool City Council, is currently serving on the Liverpool Mayoral Development Board and is chair of the Society Advisory Board for the British Council.

Tracey Williamson was appointed Commercial Director for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in February 2018.  Tracey has responsibility for 110 staff covering a global portfolio with multiple sites across 180 countries. Annual spend is £1.5b spend split between Corporate Procurement and Policy Programmes (Conflict Stability and Security Fund and the Prosperity Fund). In addition, with the FCO hosting the overseas OneHMG platform, her team provide goods and services to partners across government e.g. HO, DFID, DIT, MOD, etc.  This is Tracey’s first role in the Civil Service having joined after a successful 30 year career in procurement in the private sector working in major blue chip organisations across a range sectors including transport, insurance, telecommunications, retail and automotive. Tracey has a track record of transforming global procurement functions and developing capability to best in class. Today's guest is Karamjit Singh CBE

Karamjit has been Chair of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust since 1 September 2014.

His previous experience of health leadership includes serving as the first Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (2006 – 2009), as well as Board membership of the Coventry Family Services Health Authority (1993 – 1996), Coventry Health Authority (1996 – 2002) and Trustee of the British Lung Foundation (2006 – 2009).

Karamjit’s current voluntary commitments include being a Trustee of a Sikh Temple based in Coventry where he lives; a Council Member of Justice which sponsors research and advocacy for changes in the justice system; and in June 2019 he was elected by his fellow Chairs to the national Board of NHS Providers which represents all the 231 NHS acute, mental health and community services trusts in England.

Karamjit has held many diverse roles within public services regionally and nationally during the past forty years. His previous national appointments have included leading the UK wide appeals process for Social Fund welfare benefits; appointing Queen’s Counsel and senior civil servants; investigating police complaints and suspected miscarriages of justice; developing training for judges, taking decisions about parole for prisoners and employment law issues, regulating financial services and the funding of political parties as well as electoral issues.

He was awarded the CBE in 2000 for services to the administration of justice and in 1990 he was awarded a one year Harkness scholarship to study public policy in the United States. He was recently included in the Green Park national survey as one of the 100 BAME Business Leaders. He is also a Companion of the Chartered Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

In November 2019, NHS Improvement’s Trust Appointments and Approvals Committee confirmed the re-appointment of Karamjit Singh CBE as Chair of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, until 30 September 2022

Peter Ankerstjerne, MBA, COP, FRICS, IFMA Fellow has more than 25 years of experience covering most aspects of facility management, service management, outsourcing, marketing, and strategy development.

Peter has spent most of his career with the ISS Group, where he led the development of the Integrated Facility Services concept from idea to implementation. From 2008 to 2018 he held the position as Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). From April 2019 to March 2020 he was Senior Vice President, Head of Digital FM and Workplace Experience, EMEA at Weworks “Powered by We” and today he is Global FM and Employee Services Lead at JLL.

Peter joined IFMA in 2005 and has been on the board of directors since 2016. Peter is a former IFMA Foundation trustee and is actively involved in the industry as both a speaker and a debater. Peter was involved in developing the IFMA Regional Advisory Board strategy and was critical in establishing the European Advisory Board on which he still serves. Peter will take up the IFMA Chair role from 1st July. Apart from IFMA, Peter has also served on several advisory boards, including the Advisory Board for International Business Development at Copenhagen Business School and the Strategic Advisory Board at the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). He is also a member of CoreNet, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). In 2015, Peter was nominated as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and in 2016 he was named IFMA Fellow.

Peter has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and is a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP). As a member of Workplace Revolutionaries, he has been instrumental in establishing the Denmark Hub.

Peter Ankerstjerne, MBA, COP, FRICS, IFMA Fellow has more than 25 years of experience covering most aspects of facility management, service management, outsourcing, marketing, and strategy development.

Peter has spent most of his career with the ISS Group, where he led the development of the Integrated Facility Services concept from idea to implementation. From 2008 to 2018 he held the position as Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). From April 2019 to March 2020 he was Senior Vice President, Head of Digital FM and Workplace Experience, EMEA at Weworks “Powered by We” and today he is Global FM and Employee Services Lead at JLL.

Peter joined IFMA in 2005 and has been on the board of directors since 2016. Peter is a former IFMA Foundation trustee and is actively involved in the industry as both a speaker and a debater. Peter was involved in developing the IFMA Regional Advisory Board strategy and was critical in establishing the European Advisory Board on which he still serves. Peter will take up the IFMA Chair role from 1st July. Apart from IFMA, Peter has also served on several advisory boards, including the Advisory Board for International Business Development at Copenhagen Business School and the Strategic Advisory Board at the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). He is also a member of CoreNet, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). In 2015, Peter was nominated as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and in 2016 he was named IFMA Fellow.

Peter has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and is a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP). As a member of Workplace Revolutionaries, he has been instrumental in establishing the Denmark Hub.

Sam has over 20 years’ experience working in procurement or commercial roles across several industries and has worked for Ciba Geigy, Astra Zeneca, EON, United Utilities and Babcock International. She has focused her spend area across infrastructure programmes and projects and has a passion for leading workable commercial solutions whilst upskilling and allowing people to reach their full potential.

Sam joined the civil service in 2016 and will be leaving her role in Crown Commercial Service (CCS) at the end of June, where she has led the Buildings pillar which incorporates FM, Property, Ancillaries and Utilities & Fuel. She has introduced category strategies to a cross government initiative and more recently led the procurement of the largest construction framework which has addressed many of the sector leading principles and managed an annual spend portfolio of £3bn.

She will take up the position of Chief Commercial officer for the Home Office and will be based in Manchester. In this role she will seek to provide an excellent commercial service across the Home Office.

Sam lives in Cheshire with her family and enjoys walking especially with her dog. During the lockdown period she has managed to run and reach the distance of 10k, something she never thought she would be able to.

Chris Wright is Chief Executive of Catch22, the social business driving public service reform. He leads the team of 1,800 staff and volunteers that supports over 60,000 people nationally.

Chris has 30 years' experience across the social care and criminal justice systems. Chris originally trained as a social worker and probation officer, establishing Nottingham’s first multi-agency Youth Offending Team) and policy (as Head of Performance at the Youth Justice Board).
