It would be correct to say I did not hold the 12 approach to be best suited as more than an Aftercare community group support system. I now stand corrected and would liked to revise my known position. An example of what true and sincere practice of acceptance, forgiveness and the willingness to readily consider new information as a rule but more so in recovery. Knowing that the power of choice is always available to you to then verify and mindfully choose to accept or reject the new information to modify your old scripts and narratives about it.

In this episode I take the position and present several arguments in support of my theory that addiction is not a Disease. However, that it can be argued that due to substance abuse and misuse, areas of the Brain becomes altered and as such its functioning in the affected areas are altered.
What can't a person with an Addiction just get their act together and just stop using the drug of choice or the behaviour they have lost control to. What then is the key to understand to have managed recovery.
This episode explores and looks at what happens in the body; the Brain more specifically after substances enters the body and gets to the place it usually has an effect at or on. Put another way, what the drugs or substance does to the body and what the body does to the substance or drug once it gets into the body.
