Black History Month has been fantastic! From in depth discussions about black history, to children's books, poetry, businesses and black people positively represented within the media. My dream was to see an all black talk show and ITV didn't disappoint, with broadcasting an all black "Loose women" panel. It was a very uplifting, fun and interesting show and I hope I see this again; not because it's "Black History Month". We are great, talented, intelligent and beautiful. This should be represented all year round. I would love to be on a talk show panel with other black women. I have TV experience as a guest panelist and it was an incredible experience to be sat with fellow black women who have something to say...and get on! Let's continue to amplify black voices, support black business's and people. Let's not stand and watch the racism within the work place and the world around us. Speak up and continue the conversations, started in the summer during the 'Black Lives Matter' uprising. You can support me, by sharing and following my Instagram pages πŸ™‹πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ @alicia_music and @mummytummybubba. Oh and I've remembered the title of Michaela Coel's incredible show- "I may destroy you". How embarrassing that I forgot the title but I will forever remember the content of this well written and excellently casted, directed and captured series. We need to see more of the London and world I recognise. Showcasing the excellence of black people.❀️Thank you for listening ❀️. BesosπŸ’‹

That's right..I feel trapped in my face when I wear a face mask. I live with anxiety that I cannot control but I know how to manage my panic attacks. I do try to wear a mask but I feel physically sick wearing one for too long, but I feel bad for not wearing one. I literally feel trapped in my face. Anyone else experience this? It's not actually a law to wear a mask because exemptions do apply to individuals. With saying this, we live in a divided society where I will be judged for not wearing one but I have to be authentic to myself and not down play the distress that I experience when out in crowded areas. Please look at the www.gov.uk website for the guidelines. Let's all continue to respect social distancing and practice good hygiene and kindness always. I'm not here to preach but to share my story and hopefully help others. Anxiety is real.🌻 Follow me: @alicia_music and @mummytummybubba. Thank you for tuning in to my podcast. Besos.❀️

I'm back, I'm healing and I'm feeling motivated again to say what's on my mind. I needed a break from social media, to heal traumatic triggers surrounding the death's of so many black people in the arms of the law. Enough is enough! I am fed up with "trends", fake people, fake friends and people who believe that an "All lives matter" movement is what is needed to silence the "Black Lives Matter" movement. My eyes have been opened to more shameful opinions of people that I actually know and also the lack of opinions ( aka the silence). However, I have solid people in my life who stand with me, speak up for what is right and actually have started positive conversations about the lives of black people. People that care, have checked in to make sure that I'm ok and I have checked in on other people. That's love! Let's continue to fight for equality, silence the ignorant and understand what white privilege is and how it effects the black community. I've taken time out to learn, create, reflect and not waste energy on ignorant people. A break was what was needed and I'm grateful to have had the support and understanding of others to do so. Thank you for tuning in again. Besos❀️@alicia_music @mummytummybubba

How can we use our platforms to start a conversation and promote change? Share your stories, stand up for what's right and unite! George Floyd was murdered by a racist police officer. How is this happening in 2020? We are the power, let's stand together and demand change for a better future. It's not just about copying and pasting a quote and leaving it at that. It's ACTIONING the quote via conversations, listening to the black community and learning more about the reality of a racist world affecting so many lives. I myself feel powerless but my power is to use my platform to share my experience, my thoughts and knowledge. Let's unite and stand up for what is right. *Quote:Infinite Waters/Ralph Smart on YouTube. My socials: @alicia_music @mummytummybubba

You know when you hit an age where you just feel STRONG, FABULOUS and CONFIDENT in your own skin? I've made it...I'm thirty five. No more BS. I'm me and in IN to my Thirties. In this episode, I chat about my lockdown birthday, my new grown attitude and how I wish I was this assertive in my 20s. I have my moments where I'm not feeling myself but I've come in to this new age with an attitude that is this- "I am who I say I am and I have no one to justify my life to, but myself!" I even bought my own giant birthday balloons to be a bold BOSS, on my birthday. We create our own happiness. We are on our own journeys. I'm learning to live my life for me, focus on what needs to be done for my growth in my many areas of my life. I'm not doing bad for 35😜. Send in your questions and topic ideas (DM) to @alicia_music and @mummytummybubba. I will also put up a link on my socials, so that you can record a question, topic or even a comment to send to me. Thank you for tuning in and listening to me today. I appreciate your support. Stay safe and continue to live your truth. Besos ❀️

Losing my hair or thinning of my hair,is the most recent wake up call to check my health and reinvest time in to me! I had to find a solution to this problem,go back to basics and reassess what I was doing/ what I wasn't doing to my body to be healthier. Alicia Wilkins could be the next Madame CJ Walker as like this legend, I have come up with a solution to my problem and have created natural hair and skin products to nourish my body. No more putting unnecessary chemicals on my scalp and skin and that also applies to the products I use on my son's hair and skin. An itchy dry scalp..I do not wish that on anyone! I'm paying attention to what I eat and drink but also getting outside to seize the opportunity to get that natural vitamin D; the key to general health. So I've started "Project me". The only way is up! I have invested in myself. Shout out to @naptural85 and @naturalcurlies for being my hair guru's and for providing that knowledge to help me on my healthier "project me" journey.

Welcome back and thank you for tuning in to my podcast. I'm discussing how I choose to keep my frequencies high to be as positive as I can be during this tough time. I share how negative news, posts, gossip and audio can affect your well being and how it is better to avoid this in favour of doing something enjoyable. Be authentic to your own needs and don't feel pressured to be super, duper productive with every second of your day. Let's make the most of our environment to feel less trapped. Stay safe, stay connected, don't live in fear and let's protect the NHS by self isolating. The usual me chatting away about life as a At home Mummy, but I hope I've been of service to you and at least have made you smile today. Sending lots of love. Besos.❀️

I am joined today by my first guest; My son Logan. I bring you a snapshot of my life as a full-time mum and share how I feel the pressure to be the "perfect mum" and how I feel "mum guilt" on a regular basis. My home isn't immaculate, I am not part of any mummy groups and sometimes I feel overwhelmed with tasks that I simply don't have enough time to do them. So what if my washing is never ending and that my home isn't Instagram perfect. I do feel as if I'm chained to the home and it's hard being at home sometimes, even though I am enjoying my new role as a mummy. I am learning to embrace where I'm at and do one thing at a time and not waiting for the perfect moment to do things. Logan will only be this young for a short time and until I'm ready to no longer be a full time mum, I will enjoy my time and not feel pressured to be this perfect mum that does everything, whilst maintaining the immaculate home, the perfect schedule whilst looking like an Instagram model. Social media ain't real. This is my life and I'm doing the best I can, to ensure that my son is healthy, happy and learning daily. Mum guilt is a b***h and I know I'm not alone. We all have our mum guilts. What is yours? Follow me on Instagram @alicia_music and @mummytummybubba. Feel free to DM me about any topics you'd like me to cover or to simply ask a question. Thank you for your support and thank you for tuning in to my podcast. Love light and blessings to you.Xxx

After feeling super grateful for my opportunities in life and navigating through spaces that I have dreamed of, I had a short moment of self doubt, self sabotage/imposter syndrome moment of an undeserving self commentary in my head...why? I have achieved so much and my priorities in my life has meant that I cannot give 100% all the time to every thing on my to do list. I can give 100% if I do one thing at a time, but I've learnt that I CAN have it all, but not ALL at once. I have to do things bit by bit, one step at the time and embrace being a full time mum and smash my daily goals that add up to the bigger goals. I'm a singer, I'm studying to become a PT, I write, I blog, I podcast, paint, draw, I have all these wonderful creative ideas and recently I've been doing Tv/media stuff. Exciting.. I want to be the change that I want to see and own the spaces that I navigate. I intend to share my talents and hold my head up with pride. I want to promote and support black women in the Arts and within the media and also say "here I am. This is me!" I am deserving of my achievements and I can continue to achieve my goals. So can you. Own it!

There's enough space in this world to shine your light and for others to do the same. When we collaborate, share ideas and talk, the possibilities are endless to what can be achieved. We are like BREAD (lol). So many variations to cater to our different needs but categorised as "BREAD", existing in the same aisle, beautifully displayed for all to see... We have unique gifts that we should share because our voices are valuable. Drama people, energy vampires and haters are toxic members for your squad. Groups of women can get along as a sisterhood and not have to worry about their wig getting snatched. Follow me on Instagram @alicia_music and @mummytummybubba. Have you seen those "waste mountains" on "waste Islands"? WTF... Madness! Have you heard about what's happening with the sea? Where have our green spaces gone? Its never too late to make adjustments in our lives to help our environment. I enjoy sourcing preloved children's items. Not only am I essentially recycling, I am saving money but what is even better than sourcing stuff at a cut price?... Sourcing FREE items! I've teamed up with the "Young planet" app to spread the word about recycling unwanted children's items using the free app. All items listed are FREE! I'm a Hackney resident so I am jumping on this and spreading the word about @youngplanet to those living in this great borough. If you can't access this app because you do not live in Hackney, do not fear. There are other ways to source children's items for free or at a mega cut price. We all can play a part to save our planet. Let's promote recycling and try our best to not simply throw things in to the bin. Check out the "young planet" app ( @youngplanet ). Do you dread this question or are you the one to ask this? I generally can tell if the question is coming from a good or a bad place but its not something I would ask someone within 5 mins of meeting. Do we all naturally compare our lives or are we just interested in knowing more to connect to others?
