On this episode of Enhanced Living, I spoke with Wendy De Rosa, who is the author of Becoming an Empowered Empath. The founder of The School of Intuitive Studies, she has been helping empaths develop intuition and experience personal transformation for over two decades. Wendy is a popular faculty member at the Shift Network and has filmed two programs for MindValley’s spiritual growth channel.
An energetic empath is someone who feels the energy of others, the energy in their environment, and energy in the collective. Empaths will often unknowingly take this energy on or absorb it into their own energy field and body. As a result, they experience physical symptoms, illness, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and more. Learning how to clear other people’s energy from their body and strengthen the energetic center helps energetic empaths hold emotional and energetic boundaries and evolve from being overly empathic to an empowered empath. Our conversation was absolutely fascinating, and Wendy’s book is enlightening!

All of us have dreams that we chase passionately, and on some occasions, when we are about to quit, someone tells us what we need to hear, and it energizes us and gives us air and impulse. But sometimes, it is the complete opposite. We know what we want, and our friends and family advise us to move on and try something different. And in those cases, the best thing we can do is ignore everyone's opinion, go after our dreams, and keep trying until we make them real.
In this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with the actor and producer at Book 11 Productions, Michael Steger. He is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio, and he has graduated Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Theater from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. We had a fantastic conversation about his journey on becoming an actor, why he quitted acting in high-school, and what made him go back to acting in College. He shared his thoughts on why people behave funny around those that are enthusiastically chasing their dreams. We also talked about turning weakness into strengths, the secrets for a long-lasting love relationship, how we attract our tribe through our behavior, and much more.

Life's rhythm can be so agitated that we can sometimes get lost in a swirl of multiple jobs, running after our obligations and never having enough time. We've heard that the secret of success is finding our passion, putting the work in it, and keep trying until we finally make our dreams a reality. Still, there is another side of that revelation that almost no one mentions; we need to be honest with ourselves and tell the difference between a hobby in which we are better than the average, and a profession.

She has written and produced the film "White Like Me," soon to be released, where she tells the story of a black woman that decides to turn into a white man to see if that ensures more job opportunities for her. We talk about her relationship with the entrepreneurial world, the importance of chasing our dreams, and what it takes to change the 9-to-5 mentality.
She shares her vision on racism, the secrets for a lasting career, her frustrated dreams of being a professional figure skater, the struggle of black women in business in general, and much more in an incredibly inspiring conversation.

Creating a company that turns into the number one franchise in a country is a massive achievement. And, if after completing that, the same person hits a billion dollar valuation with another company, there must be a pattern.
And there definitely is. Putting the same work ethic into every project, keeping their head down, and waking up every morning deciding to improve as many people's lives as possible.
Joining me today is Sean Dollinger. He's a friend, and he's also the founder of PlantX, a plant-based ecommerce site and community that sells just about anything plant-based you could think of. We talk about his first job and the steps that took him to achieve massive success in the business world. He also shares his experience combining a successful business with being a family man and the values he teaches his children.
Sean is a serial entrepreneur who started his first delivery company at age 17 before it was mainstream. He launched his first public company in 2014, Namaste Technologies, and brought it to a billion dollar valuation in under 18 months. He also dedicated some time to advise public companies, with tremendous success, helping them double their numbers in just a few months.
Sean doesn't believe in luck; he believes in hard work and in creating the opportunities that will allow you to be lucky. He fees - rightly so - that customer service is crucial to success and that the best approach is through education and understanding.

All of us are born with equal parts of intuitive and intellectual potential. With time, intuition is silenced through logical teachings in school and tons of stereotypes around it. Even silenced or forgotten in the corner of our minds, intuition continually tries to get to us - and more often than not, we either ignore it or simply don't understand what is trying to tell us.
Joining me today is Kim Chestney, author of the book Radical Intuition, and we talk about what led her to write this book, her relationship with intuition, how many types of intuitions are there, and much more.
Kim Chestney is a worldwide recognized innovation leader and founder of the Intuition Lab. She is an author, artist, and intuition advocate. Her work has been supported by leading-edge organizations like South by Southwest Interactive, Carnegie Mellon University, Comcast, and Hewlett-Packard.
Kim firmly believes that you can't go wrong if you are aligned with your intuition because it makes no mistakes. Listening to it can perhaps take you on a different path than you might have expected, but in the end, you'll realize that it was the right one for you. Trust your intuition!

In today's episode, I had an inspiring conversation with Karla Ross, where we chat about her astonishing career in the entertainment business, the difficulties she had to sort out to become a successful show's producer, seeing adversity as a gift, and more.
Karla started performing as a singer on TV and radio in Chicago and live in some local jazz venues; she also toured internationally. Then she moved to California and kept performing, sharing a stage with Sammy Davis Jr, Jack Jones, Henri Manzini, and Gregory Hines, among many others. In the '90s, using her experience working in finances, she used a business plan template to put together her first company, The Karla Ross Orquestra. She did so well that in the early 2000s, she changed her company name to Karla Ross Productions, and the sole proprietorship became a corporation. When we're getting up on a stage, in front of a live camera, or simply in front of a small group of people, the pressure of being our best selves is on the roof. The self-critic we all have in us heightens the awareness of all the flaws we think we may have, and most of us try to become someone we're not.
But guess what! People sense when things are inauthentic and their trust in your words is directly proportional to your level of authenticity.
Joining me today is someone who has over 27 years of experience in film, television presenting, and public speaking. Andrew Eggelton is a behemoth in the industry, and he helps speakers and presenters match their talent with their ambition, by tapping into something many understand as 'flow' or, as Andrew likes to call it, a conduit for infinite wisdom.
Andrew is focusing on the presenter's heart brain and the magic in the space between the words, making sure that the words of the speaker match the frequency of their greatness and bring out their authentic self. These are all topics we discuss in this episode, as well as many others such as how to build and develop your craft, what to do before you enter the arena, and the approaches someone should take to achieve their long-term goals.

In today’s episode, she shares how her practice has helped her lean into her purpose of helping others, how her complicated relationship with her father impacted her romantic and social life growing up, and why the process of healing is so difficult for so many of us.

Do you remember being a kid and thinking that once you grow up, you’d know everything? Thinking that our parents and other grownups had it all together and knew what they were doing is something that most of us can relate to, in my opinion. The truth, however, is that we just keep living and experiencing things and hopefully growing wiser by learning from our life experiences. While we can definitely learn from others who’ve walked the path already, why do we put so much stock in other peoples’ opinions when they can never truly know what it’s like to walk in our shoes? Today’s episode is all about this concept. Learn to trust yourself.

Our curiosity is something we must nurture. As we grow up, the childlike wonder that once came so easily to us tends to fade and is often replaced with more practical and realistic views on the world around us. Though contrary to what many believe, this isn’t how it has to be.
Joining me today is renowned Business Coach and Consultant, owner of J. Scott Consulting, and Host of Business Minds Coffee Chat, Jay Scherr! From a young age, Jay knew he had a strong desire to immerse himself in the business world. Having grown up with a Father in the Real Estate industry, he was always intrigued by the rungs of the corporate ladder and, more importantly, the human stories behind one-on-one client work.
Using the knowledge he attained through years of business management and sales leadership experience, Jay has gone on to help hundreds of clients in bettering their companies and becoming the best version of themselves they can be. All of this has been enhanced through his genuine curiosity and concern for their success, making his consulting firm one of the more authentic ones out there.

We all have that inner guidance system that tells us, or rather, nudges us in certain directions. But do we listen? And when we do actually hear that inner guidance system, how do we know that it’s truly an inspired thought and not just a fear-based or hope-based thought? How can we hone the skill of truly listening to our gut instincts? In today’s episode, I talk about the difference between inspired thought/feelings and hope/fear-based thinking. The trans community is one that has been breaking new ground and spreading messages of inclusivity for decades. For some parents, however, learning that their child is a part of this world can be frightening and can even raise questions towards their own identities as caregivers. It’s a telling sign that we still have a ways to go in regards to accepting those that we may not have a sound understanding of or have our own pre-judgments towards.
My guest today is one example of how being exposed to the trans community in her own daughter has not only positively impacted her life, but changed her perspective for the better. Dr. Paria Hassouri MD is joining me on the podcast today to share the story of her daughter’s transition, why it inspired her to write her book, ‘Found in Transition’, and how her own childhood experiences with bullying made her feel hesitant towards her daughter’s coming out.

I’m pretty sure we’ve all thought about it. Where do we go when we die? Do we come back, or have we lived before? I don’t think it’s possible to get a definitive answer either way because the truth is that nobody can ever know for sure, but there are at least signs that point to the fact that we do live more than once.

How many times have you been in the situation where someone treats you unfairly or poorly and you lash out, or hold a grudge, or even worse – tell everyone about what they did? Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there. But what if there’s a better way? What if, instead of harboring negative feelings and hurt, we simply just let them go instead? Or, more radically, what if we had the ability to find gratitude in these negative experiences and use them for self-growth and evolution?

Personal development is everlasting. No matter how old we get in life, there will always be something in us that wants to grow and better itself. One thing that has stayed constant in our own personal development, is pain. For most of us, we see pain as something that is more of a hindrance rather than something we can utilize. It’s not often that conversations around pain in the mainstream are so open and free of judgment, so my guest today is a true testament to the encouragement of healthy struggle.
Joining me today is the Toronto born Actor with a passion for personal growth, Danso Gordon! Danso has not only landed roles in major commercials (the Superbowl) and blockbuster films (American History X), he is also one of the Founders of ‘Tape Squad’, a company dedicated to helping actors streamline the process of ‘self-taping’.
Coincidentally, ‘Tape Squad’ launched exactly when Covid-19 hit, so their services have never been more needed! We discuss why Danso was inspired to create his company, what the true value of having wealth is, and why we should ask ourselves what pain is trying to teach us rather than push it away or ignore it. We’ve all heard the expression “Good Vibes Only” and I’m sure that you’ve even felt guilt about not being able to maintain that god vibe feeling. It’s because it’s been perverted to mean something more akin to “Don’t pay attention to the ‘negative’ – even if the ‘negative’ is demanding your attention!”

I also delve into the temporary nature of all that is, as well as why everything that happens is neither good nor bad, but that we assign the value judgements for everything.
