Excerpt: I would say please, the first thing everything should do is really sit down and think about what makes you, you. Who are you, what are you. What does it mean to be you and fulfill those things. I think freedom is essential for that and you need to hold everybody who puts them selves above you, or who ever you put above yourself to those standards of allowing you to be exactly who you are because its exactly who they are. A human being.

So, I’m pursing this goal to go to special operation. I’m pursing this goal to be the best in business, I’m pursing this goal. Everything has a cost and everything has an equal and opposite reaction. Excerpt: (On immigrating alone, life, and company of others and yourself): “You truly have to create your own family. You get used to coming and going, you have to really find a way to not depend on people coming and going. It allows me to be completely ok with being alone, were social creatures, we need people. But I think that every one should be able to understand and know what its like to be alone. If we don’t appreciate our own company how the f…, how are you going to enjoy fully someone else’s company. Because other wise it becomes co-dependent. Its one thing when I want to be with you because I like your company, but its another one because I’m so scared of not having someone to talk to. Its different approaches and I feel like a lot of us are still in that kind of mindset."

Jonathan Fader is your host and Co-Founder of UTKM. A message from your host: As this was the 100th episode I thought I would do something a little different. I will give you a loose history of my life and how it lead to the creation of UTKM and where it is at today. It is a loose history as it is a story from memory as well as an attempt to keep certain details specifically vague for privacy or legal reasons. The purpose of this episode aside from a general history is also to help those who struggle running their own martial arts schools to know that you are not alone in dealing with the trials and tribulations of running a martial arts school. It can be emotionally, physically, mentally, and sometimes financially draining whether it's successful or not. I want you to know that it is also ok to talk with others about your struggles both mentally, financially, or even socially (though you don't have to do it quite as publically as me). This industry is not for everyone and can leave many feeling alone and isolated yet know that it is also a very rewarding industry to be in even if you only have a handful of students. It also helps you to get to know Jonathan a little more if you didn't already know enough.
