This show is for female entrepreneurs and health and wellness businesses to feel less overwhelmed about their digital marketing and SEO marketing for their online business. Cinthia talks to various experts about how to best approach online marketing, Google Analytics and SEO to be successful, while still staying sane.
In this episode of the Digitally Overwhelmed Podcast, I'm breaking down one of the biggest shifts happening in SEO and online visibility right now: the move from keyword-based search to entity-based search.
For years, SEO strategies focused heavily on keywords, rankings, and backlinks. But today, Google and AI-powered search engines understand much more than words, they understand people, brands, topics, relationships, and context. This shift is changing how businesses get discovered online and why some websites consistently outperform competitors, even when they have fewer backlinks or less content.
I explain what entities are, how Google's Knowledge Graph works behind the scenes, and why building authority around your brand and expertise has become just as important as traditional keyword optimization. I also share how AI-powered search experiences are accelerating this trend and what it means for your content strategy moving forward.
You'll learn:
• The difference between keywords and entities, and why Google now focuses more on meaning than exact word matches
• How Google and AI search engines evaluate your expertise, authority, and trustworthiness through entity signals
• Practical ways to strengthen your author and brand entities, including schema markup, internal linking, third-party mentions, and creating uniquely valuable content
• Why entity optimization can help you appear in AI Overviews and modern search experiences, not just traditional search rankings
• The simple steps you can take today to assess your current entity presence and start building stronger authority online

In this episode of the Digitally Overwhelmed Podcast, I'm breaking down the difference between content marketing and SEO—and why understanding both can completely change the way you grow your business online. A lot of business owners hear these terms used interchangeably, but they actually serve different purposes while still working together.
I share how I think about SEO and content marketing as two different ways of "baking the same cake." Both help you get discovered online, but each strategy approaches visibility, storytelling, and audience growth from a different angle.

When should you rethink your SEO strategy in the age of AI? As tools like Google's AI Overviews and Search Generative Experience (SGE) continue to change how people find and consume information, many business owners are noticing shifts in traffic, clicks, and visibility.
In this episode, I break down what's actually happening inside search right now and why SEO is still essential—even if fewer people are clicking through to websites. I explain how AI is reshaping informational vs. transactional searches, why some content is losing visibility, and what types of keywords and strategies are becoming more important.
You'll also hear how to think about SEO differently in this new landscape, including why authority, niche clarity, and bottom-of-funnel content matter more than ever, and how to start adapting your content so it can still be discovered across both traditional search and AI-driven results.

In this deeply honest and refreshing episode, Cinthia welcomes back friend and returning guest Kara Steinmann, founder of Ravel Collective, for a vulnerable conversation about mental health and entrepreneurship—especially for women founders.

After my previous episode with Paul Jarvis, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to grow and transform in business. The thing that makes it so confusing is that it’s actually super unique to everyone and that’s why it can be tricky thing to come by, especially when you are thinking of hiring someone to help you in your business.
In this episode, I get to talk to Sarah Noked, who owns a Online Business Management Agency, helping her clients systematize and improve the backend of their businesses. During this interview we talk about, 3 elements of growing your business sustainably, what is a virtual office, and how to stop bleeding money in your own business.
Sarah has a lot of information and also shares some tips for how to start systematizing the backend of your own business.

I love finding other inspiring women podcasters and Mara Glatzel is one of them. I happened to find her podcast (Needy - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/needy/id1389278344?mt=2) and immediately connected with her work.
In this episode we talk about how women can advocate for their needs, creating a sustainable business in terms of energy (without the burnout), and how to set goals from a centered place. I also ask Mara what metrics she tracks that feel good in her own business.

More about Mara:
Mara Glatzel, MSW, reminds women that they are enough.
In particular, she reminds nurturers, natural caregivers, people pleasers, highly sensitive humans, empaths, and women taking responsibility for things that aren’t theirs to own that they are enough.
She is an intuitive coach and energy worker who helps women take up space in their lives. In online classes, live retreats, and on her podcast, Needy, Mara facilitates daily conversations about self-responsibility, radiant self-trust, and self-love. Her super power is saying things in a way that you can actually hear them (so that you can use the insight to make positive change in your life).
At the core of her work is the belief that you don’t have to over-deliver, minimize your needs, or suffer to earn your space in the world. You can create a relationship with yourself filled with radiant trust, compassion, and gentle discipline by taking your daily choices off of autopilot. You are worthy of the care and tending you give others.

It is so exciting for me to get to interview my own mentors when it comes to online business and balancing that with the lifestyle you want. Courtney Chaal is one of those people for me. She runs the Rule Breaker’s club, where she teaches women how to package and sell their brilliance.
In this interview with Courtney, we talk about some keys to scaling your business, why it’s important to step out of the solopreneur mindset, and how to motivate yourself to get things done. We also get into how she uses data to improve her sales funnel during a launch and how it determined the success of that launch.

In this episode of the Digitally Overwhelmed podcast I talk about the top mistakes you need to avoid and how to plan for your site migration. I cringe when I hear the horror stories of business owners who didn’t have a plan for migrating their sites.
Here are a few:
30% drop in site traffic over 3 months
Data gaps (o no data) in their Google Analytics
404 errors across their entire site that wreak havoc
Making sure you have a solid migration plan in place BEFORE migrating your site is key to not losing visits after you launch your new site. Imagine getting so excited about your new site and then discovering that you are actually getting half the visits from your previous site. A bummer no?
And if you need extra support with migrating your site, reach out to me here digitalbloomiq.com/contact and we can talk through your migration plan.

This week on the Digitally Overwhelmed podcast I got to interview author and popular keynote speaker, Mike Michalowicz. I had so much fun interviewing Mike because he has so much wisdom to share about running your small business finance (among other things).
Sometimes when it comes to “serious” topics like doing the finances in our business, it can be hard to find resources and frameworks that are motivating to follow. And all of Mike’s books do exactly that: the inspire you to take action, but also give you some clear rules to follow.
In this conversation we talk about bringing comedy to the business world, depression in the entrepreneur community, and how he uses A/B testing in his business to make decisions.
Mike Michalowicz is a former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal; is the former MSNBC business make-over expert; is a popular keynote speaker on innovative entrepreneurial topics; and is the author of Profit First, Surge, The Pumpkin Plan and The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur

This is such a good question and one that I took for granted in many ways, since I’ve seen how all these skills and roles overlap and connect within many client projects. My first recommendation is that instead of thinking of them as people, think about them as unique skill sets. So you might have someone who is a Web Developer/Web Designer hybrid. Or a Web Developer who also has SEO skills.
There can definitely be cross over between each of these roles.
Also, you might have someone who is a super technical Web Developer, but they aren’t thinking about the overall strategy of how those changes on their website are going to help them reach their business goals. Whoever you hire, make sure you are clear on the role they play in terms of them understanding your business and how you make money.
If you have a specific technical job that you need, of course you can hire someone to just do that. Having a strategic mind on your team, can ensure you are focusing on the right things at the right time and in the right order.

Last week I did a post on how to start doing SEO on a new site and this week I’m juxtaposing that blog post with this one: doing SEO on older sites (3+ years old).
Although all sites have a specific amount of time they’ve been online, when I mention age here, also take into account how intentional you’ve been with your blog writing and SEO.
Have you specifically picked and used new keywords? Have you looked at your Google Analytics data? Have you thought about the experience you want people to have when they first find your site?
You could have a site that is over 5 years old and barely attracting any traffic, vs. a 3 year old site that you’ve worked on very consciously, that is brining over 10K visits per month.
To quantify this blog post and podcast episode, I decided to give it a specific number of anything over 3 years but I’d say the 3 - 5 year range is good here. In the future, I might do another episode about even older sites and what it means to them to do SEO.

I’m writing this on a cool fall morning. I was reflecting how these transition months feel strange to me, like my body is out of place, trying to adjust to the shift of temperature. Getting out of bed feels different and overall it’s just a different reality.
Maybe that “awkward” feeling is something that also happens when you are first trying to work on your website traffic. Sometimes things can feel off at the beginning and you keep wondering what you are doing wrong.
You aren’t doing anything wrong my friends! This is all part of the process of doing SEO and there are some simple steps you can take now so that over time your traffic will grow and it will be easier.
I want to clarify that this article is for a website that is already live (I’m considering doing a whole other episode on what to do be before launching your site). And by “new”, I mean a site that is 1 - 3 years old.

When I met Lauren several years ago, I was impressed by her approach to connecting with other businesses that could refer work. I was wanting to bring her on to the podcast for awhile to talk about her referral system.
During this interview we talk about:
Lauren’s Links:

More about Lauren:
Lauren Pawell, MBA, helps entrepreneurs generate, qualify and nurture more leads online. She works with business owners on high-impact marketing efforts, so they don’t waste any time or money on tactics that won’t drive real results. Case in point? That time she generated $262,822.58 in sales for a client using only 9 emails. As an online marketing strategist, Lauren has been featured in Copyblogger, appeared as a guest expert for places like 90 Day Year Live, Freshbooks, and LeadPages, and has taught as guest faculty at the Laguna College of Art and Design. The SEO world is a fascinating mix of technical, marketing, and creativity. All these things need to come together to have an awesome SEO strategy. I almost feel like the words “SEO” can’t fully encompass everything it means to me and part of me wishes I could just invent new words for Search Marketing.
In my humble opinion, doing an audit or assessment is the first step of any successful SEO adventure because you can’t make any progress toward your goals if you don’t know where you currently stand.
Awareness is the first important step of making any sort of change (in business and life!) and the audit does exactly that!
So what does an SEO audit cover exactly?
Different experts cover different things, but at a high level, this is what is included in my own SEO audit process and I’ll be reviewing each one in detail below:

It is immediately apparent when you talk to someone who is very passionate about what they do. Well, Kerri is one of those people.
I jived with Kerri from the start because she is so grounded on how to show up on LinkedIn in a way that doesn’t feel spammy or cookie cutter (which reminded me so much of my own style with SEO).

This is a great time of year to reflect and actually FEEL your business. What are you working towards? What are you big goals?
During this episode with Paul Jarvis, we get into how to question growth and start thinking about impact instead. We also talk about how to define your own success and understand your enough. This episode is for you if you are feeling lost about your north and want to align yourself back to what is right for you and your business.
Paul Jarvis is the author of Company of one: why staying small is the next big thing for business. His writing and ideas focus around the contrarian view that business growth isn’t always good, and isn’t always required.

I’ve told very few people about this (and now I wonder why) but one of the long term goals is my business is to contribute to more girls learning technology and coding. I still believe there are not enough women leaders in tech and this is impacting the world at large.
In this episode, I go through a couple stories about why I think having more women in technology could change we perceive the world and some science to back it up.
Finally, I talk about some key steps I think need to happen so that this slowly shifts to a more equal environment of women and men leaders.

Speaking in front of women is definitely something I love doing. And my good friend Laura Gmeinder does this in her own business: she is a public speaker who empowers women to uncover a career they love.
In this episode, we talk about negotiation in business, identifying the women connectors in your network, and how she asked for data on a guest post to define a speaking topic.
More about Laura:
Laura Gmeinder is a passion igniter. She’s the Leading Lady at Laura Gmeinder Coaching & Consulting. Those in-the- know would tell you she’s a top rated coach, consultant and motivational speaker.
Laura’s passion lies at the intersection of leadership development and business strategy. Her story? She survived a quarter life crisis, harnessed her reawakened sense of adventure, left her corporate HR job (after 14 years) and set out to make an impact in the world. She is an InBusiness Magazine “40 Under 40”, honored for her business savvy and civic contributions, a BRAVA magazine 2018 Woman to Watch and an Athena Young Professional Award nominee. She is co-producer of “If you Won’t, Who Will? Empowered Women Empower Women” a documentary short. She is a regular contributor for the International Coach Federation (ICF) and provided coaching at Emerging Women conference (deemed a “Top Women’s Conference” by Forbes). Her expertise has been shared in the media for outlets like Huffington Post, US News & World Report and Wall Street Journal MarketWatch (talking about Taylor Swift no doubt). This topic is something I’ve been craving to talk about for awhile. When it comes to marketing, we are all obsessed with results and I get it; isn’t that why we are in business? At the same time, approaching your marketing more as a marathon, than a sprint, can help balance out the different platforms we use to get our business out there.
During this episode, I talk about looking at your marketing efforts in two different ways: slow vs. Fast. Separating them in this way can help put you mind at rest in seeing what each type of marketing is doing for your business and not get too focused on the short term results you need.
I also include some steps you can take to evaluate all your marketing right now so you can diversify with intention.

Once of the reasons I am so inspired by Chauncéa is she isn’t in a rush in her career and she is all about letting things happen naturally. Instead of by force.

There are so many women out there who are launching books and I find that super exciting! I think it is great that publishing your work can be more accessible if you have something you want to share with the word in book form.
However, writing the book isn’t enough; marketing it and getting it out there can become a big project. But it doesn’t have to overwhelm you!
In this episode, I walk through a couple easy tips you can do to improve the searchability of your book on Google.
I want your book to be a huge success and getting it to your target audience is the whole point of writing it in the first place.

I cringe when I hear the horror stories of business owners who didn’t have a plan for migrating their sites.
Here are a few:
30% drop in site traffic over 3 months
Data gaps (0 data) in their Google Analytics
404 errors across their entire site that wreak havoc
Making sure you have a solid migration plan in place BEFORE migrating your site is key to not losing visits after you launch your new site. Imagine getting so excited about your new site and then discovering that you are actually getting half the visits from your previous site. A bummer no?
In this episode of the Digitally Overwhelmed podcast I talk about the top mistakes you need to avoid and how to plan for your site migration.
And if you need extra support with migrating your site, reach out to me here digimorphs.com/contact and we can talk through your migration plan.

Getting results through SEO is my main focus for all my clients. Many of my clients come to me and are scared to do SEO because they come from a bad experience or have heard negative stories from others. This is what happened with Vanessa Berlin, one of my clients and during this interview, we talk about how working with me changed the way she did SEO on her site and the results she got.
We get into what the process was like working with me, and how she is able to keep replicating the success after working with me. I also share 3 SEO tips at the beginning on what you can do to grow your site traffic.
Vanessa Berlín, Image & Fashion Consultant, blogger, mother, wife based in La Jolla, CA. Her passion for personal care, style, and fashion, combined with her desire to be an agent for positive change, led her to create The Fashion Statement, an online fashion, beauty, and lifestyle destination. It is so exciting for me to get to interview my own mentors when it comes to online business and balancing that with the lifestyle you want. Courtney Johnston is one of those people for me. She runs the Rule Breaker’s club, where she teaches women how to package and sell their brilliance.
In this interview with Courtney, we talk about some keys to scaling your business, why it’s important to step out of the solopreneur mindset, and how to motivate yourself to get things done.
