Hello! This is my podcast where I'll be sharing with you some of my thoughts mainly about software engineering in our day to day lives, there are so many intersections between engineering and every other aspects of our lives and this podcast is just for doing that! Stay tuned!
In this episode, I will be discussing three main aspects of developing pretty code. These aspects are:
- What is pretty code?
- Why it's important to build things beautifully.
- Can we develop pretty code from Day 0?
A lot of engineers ask me this question often. How do I build engineering experience?
Engineering experience don't get built by sitting around doing the same thing everyday - that's a thing for machines to do. Engineering experience is built by continuous curiosity, practice and knowledge sharing. If we repeat someone else's experience that just makes us another copy of the same book on shelf. But when we practice what we learn and gather knowledge from our experiences then discuss this with engineering communities that's when true learning which leads to true experience come from.
Seeking knowledge for the sake of just seeking knowledge is a waste of time. Knowledge becomes valuable when it inspires, expedites or aides a direct action that contributes to the survival, evolution and fulfillment of mankind.
In this episode, I'm going to talk about the three stages of growth for software engineers. We will explore the importance of seeking fulfillment into one's life through their daily interactions. Take a listen at this segment and give it a bit of your thoughts.
In this session, I'm going to talk about the three stages of inclusion in every decision-making process. Inclusion goes from participation, to consideration to incorporation. Allowing individuals to participate in any discussion is a basic right for everyone to have in any discussion no matter who they are or what they are. But giving someone airtime alone isn't enough. Giving every idea a shot in terms of consideration is taking every opinion seriously enough to dig a bit deeper to see the validity of said opinion. Then lastly incorporating these ideas into the final decision fulfills truly-inclusive process.
The unknown genius is someone out there that needs help to get started and change the world. They can be anywhere. It's our responsibility as mentors in the software industry to go out there and find that unknown genius. Be a reason for their success and give them the materials they need, answer the questions they may have and address any impediments that may block them from achieving their goals.
One of the most fundamental aspects of mentorship is to wish your mentee would someday achieve what you could never achieve in your lifetime. Building up confidence in your mentees to prepare them for the challenges of the unknown tomorrow.
In our technology-focused world today, It's important for software engineers to realize their potential in terms of autonomy. Defining one their purpose in life, supercharging their passion for that purpose and then working on the logistics to fulfil these purposes is of utmost importance. it is even more important than a college degree, a job or any other material goals.
In this podcast session, I will be discussion the three important aspects of autonomy for software engineers. How to maintain a balance between your passion and your purpose. How to keep going regardless of any challenges you may face. Looking beyond the material success, and leaping into a future where purposes are realized and recognized when they become truly beneficial.
Integrity in engineering is doing the right thing even if you have direct push permission to production
In this episode I'm going to discuss the importance of incorporating one's passion into whatever they are doing. Especially when it comes to software engineering. Passion and our emotions are the very things that guarantees the success into whatever we make. Without passion a product is nothing but a soulless cold and dead machine.
In this episode, I'm going to tackle the issue of automation from an engineering perspective. What are the measures of success when it comes to executing a successful automation process.
I will also discuss the alternatives for the overwhelming wave of automation that is predicted to put over 45 million people in the U.S alone out of the business by 2030.

There are tons of materials on the web that tackles so many different aspects of the Software Engineering process. but very rarely have I seen materials that actually focuses on the engineering experience as a fundamental aspect of every engineering project. in this episode I will shed some light on the most important aspects that makes an engineering experience better. These aspects should be the top priority for every engineer in general, despite where they stand and what their role is in the entire process.

In this episode I tackle the issue of how social media platforms are engineered today. how can we fix where social media platforms are headed today. correcting the path and creating a human-first technology that works towards our happiness not our misery.
Our hard dependency on technology today makes it hard to think about other alternatives where humanity could survive without it. our dependency on technology today makes it a single point of failure where it's absence and it's faultiness could threaten the survival of the humankind.
The competition in the tech market for building better, faster and smarter products has driven some engineers into working towards making their products more addictive without paying attention to what would happen to the consumers of these products if the product fails or malfunctions.
In this episode I discuss an alternative or productizing technology where the customers survival and well-being in the absence of of technology is top priority. and therefore we come to the conclusion that every technological product out there should include educating it's consumers about how not to be addicted to it, and how to survive without it.
The alternative might not be always easy, but it should be there and it should be available for the consumers to know what to do without it.
In this episode I'm going to talk about purposeful engineering. engineering for a higher purpose than just the typical life concerns like paying a mortgage, getting a promotion or adding score to your bank account.
There's so much more to the impact engineering could cause if it was purposeful. a meaningful engineering that aims towards the survival of human kind and it's evolution - I hope you enjoy this episode.

In this episode I'm going to dive deeper into building bridges between ourselves and our team members - the end result or the measure of success is to be in a state where you look forward to meeting your team members everyday - looking forward to talk, work and have fun with them every single day.
I will dive a bit deeper in this episode into what you have to do towards your team members especially if you or them are new on the team, and what you need to show of yourself, personality and skills to become a better member for your team.

We use frameworks on daily basis to solve software problems and save ourselves time to not reinvent the wheel, but frameworks as a concept could be very beneficial outside the software - in our day to day lives.
Craftsmanship is the soul of every great product whether it's a software, an electric car or even a spoon.
Apply parallelization to every aspect in your life, don't have a plan A and a plan B, have multiple plan As and run them all at the same time.
