Years ago I had the privilege of co-creating and teaching a program for incarcerated youth called "Spirituality for Teens".
The class was designed to inspire teens to take full responsibility for their lives including their thoughts, words, and actions through consciousness and mindful awareness.
We taught that what you put out there, always comes back. It may take a day or two, or could even take a lifetime ... but it will always come back.
As I watched the rain pour down outside my window today I was thinking about those young adults that were in those classes over 13 years ago.
I wonder where these kids are now? Did our classes have an impact on them? Are they still incarcerated?
Then one of my favorite lessons hit me, was called "Ripple Effects"...
What words and actions are we choosing that we can't see the long term effects of, that if we could see them, would stop us in our tracks to choose differently?

Several times today Guillermo would look at me and say

On August 8 when the bold Sun in Leo aligns to the star Sirius (known as the "spiritual sun") to generate high-frequency energy that activates the Lion's Gate portal.
This portal opens every year between July 28 and August 12 but August 8 is considered official activation day, when the Sun and Sirius move closest to Earth and align with Orion's belt.
Sirius rises during the middle of the summer. Its energy forces opportunities for dramatic new beginnings. This is a time when new levels of consciousness are infused into the planet and also into each of us individually. So as this gate swings open, we are swept over the threshold!
It didn't even occur to me that this was happening until I remembered that this was because of the New Moon today. Arriving late last night in Mexico City, the whole world was waiting for me with open arms.

Are you talking to your food, or is your food talking to you?

I feel as though I walk the streets of Greece, step into restaurants and cafes and am immediately called to from energies like adorable, irresistible children.
"Take care of me, nurture me, LOVE ME"
What is all this energy that I am feeling?
FOOD! IT'S THE FOOD!
Then I sit down to dinner, nearly order the entire menu;
Why? Because I want them to know that I love them all!
I don't want to abandon any of them, because I want to be a good Papa to all these children on the menu staring back at me.
Then what happens an hour or so later ...
I feel they have taken FULL advantage of my kindness, and now they have made me miserable....

This morning we woke up to zero electricity, no water, and a heatwave blazing across Europe.
No answer at the front desk as to when it might be restored as well.
First world problems, I know…. yet, unexpected.
Shortly after waking up, I read a text that I had received in the middle of the night from a very dear friend from years ago. Her daughter, near my age, had a diagnosis that came out of the blue.
Unexpected.
All this all before 9am.
What do you do when the unexpected happens to you?
As I’ve noted earlier in the year with so many planets blazing through the astrological sign of Aquarius this year, rest assured, we have an antidote to all this...

Last night I had a dream, and in the dream appeared one of my Kabbalah teachers who is now in the upper realms.
In the physical world, it seemed that she was inaccessible. She was always surrounded by people clamoring for her attention, for her blessings, for her energy.
I found it super annoying, to be honest. People treated her like a deity and I was not interested.
In the dream last night, people were clamoring for MY attention, and I couldn't understand why as she just sat nearby with nobody paying attention to her.
"They can't see me now, only you can" She said. "Now it's your turn"...

The craziest thing just happened to me as I was doing an Energy Pull nearby from the Cathedral of Notre Dame.
As I was pulling energy I saw these portals of energy through time and space. At the center of it all was a huge beating heart.
I witnessed how sacred this majestic organ is and it all hit me...

Last night I had a very interesting dream that has me pondering a huge awareness...
Where am I disguising my value as a virtue?
For one brief period of my life, I was what many considered a "very successful" waiter in New York City. As head server at some of the hottest establishments at the time, I had the opportunity to meet much of NYC's elite from Athletes and Celebs to Mafia Royalty... and they all loved me, respected me, and requested me when they would dine at whatever restaurant I was working at.
I loathed it.
Last night in my dream I was transported to an often familiar scene from back then; full restaurant, nothing coming out on time, customers whining. When suddenly the hostess assigns me a massive party of about 12 or more people. Even then I was managing it all just fine, until one of the guests...
Asks me for a healing...
I lean down and I begin to help him. As I do, I start to feel the evil stares of people at other tables, the tug on my shirt from a college who is annoyed that I am not pulling my weight, the manager in the corner trying to get my attention.
Suddenly after the healing was over, everyone sitting at the gentlemen's table wanted the same attention. I was behind, "swamped" as they say in the biz, customers getting irate as my heart rate began to rise. I was unsettled.
I told the others at the table that they could schedule a session with me at another time.
"It's a part of your tip" - one of them said, with that smarmy Wall Street type smirk that says "I own you".
All of the faces at the table began to look like figures in a Picasso painting, except less beautiful. I was annoyed and frustrated, reminiscent of the actual feelings I felt when I was immersed in those jobs.
Then I woke up. I meditated and asked what the dream was all about.

The movie broke box office records. Mel knew the power of words.

Have you ever seen the movie "50 First Dates"?
The movie follows the story of Henry (played by Adam Sandler), a womanizing marine veterinarian who falls for an art teacher named Lucy (Drew Barrymore). When he discovers she has amnesia and forgets him a day later, he resolves to win her over again each new day.
The endearing effort that Henry goes through to make Lucy fall in love with him again and again everyday is cute in that Hollywood sort of way.
It's the character of Lucy that intrigues me though. Everyday she wakes up with a blank slate, a canvas of curiosity and not much of any memory of what happened the day before.
Let's remove all the amnesia and memory loss anecdotes from the scenario. What would you do if you had the opportunity to wake up everyday with a blank canvas to create or be something you have never been before?

“Do you need me to lead the call?”
Immediately, I jumped onto the call and there you were…
Not only were you there, but there were more people on the call than EVER….

Does anyone really care about me?
What are you unwilling to know that you have decided it’s better for you to not know, because if you did know, you’d have to make a choice that might hurt someone?
Where have you learned that it’s better and more noble or spiritual to exclude yourself in your desire to care for others … because you were waiting for them to show you care… and that would be validating?
The energy of the Cancer sign can feel very heavy - especially right now. It can feel like no one is listening to your needs, and that if they really are, they don’t give a shit anyway.
It can feel like an energy that seems like the world is against us and we would be better off under our covers with tears running down our faces.

Are you willing to be irreverent about your independence?
In order to have independence, there must be a governing energy that one must break free from, yes?
This would imply that in order for you to have your independence some kind of initiation, or fight, or at best a transition must take place.
And if we are always talking about how we are all one, all the time ... is there really such a thing as independence?

What obligations are you assuming to prevent you from living the life you could be choosing?
In 1997 My friend Susan's mother had sent her a book called "Conversations With God" by Neal Donald Walsh. Susan wasn't the slightest bit interested, and at the time nor really was I.
But something compelled me to take the book home. Later that evening, I asked my "Imaginary Friends" (spirit guides) for a message and I randomly opened the book....
". . . You have no obligation. Neither in relationship, nor in all of life. . . . You have only opportunity. Opportunity, not obligation, is the cornerstone of religion, the basis of all spirituality. . . ."
The message changed my life instantly and it would take nearly 20 years for me to "get" it.

How much are you trying to look to the past that no longer exists to create your future?
Many of us don't even realize how far we have come, how many opportunities we have been given, choices we have made, and tracks we have changed.
It is said that our Universe exists in multiple dimensions. Within those dimensions there are realities upon realities available for us to choose from at any given time.
"Given time", being the key words here...

One of the most exciting parts of doing what I do, is when someone has a real breakthrough.
A breakthrough being that moment when an awareness comes and takes with it all former imprints that have caused pain and suffering to the being.
In this session, this amazing soul shared deeply that they hadn't trusted themselves since the ripe old age of twelve. At the time they missed a perceived "huge" opportunity that caused them to carry the regret for the rest of their life.
They became a micro-manager. A planner. A doer. All to keep distracted from living in the present moment, for fear that they would miss out on something again.
They kept repeating to me "I just don't trust myself" over and over and over, until I stopped them and asked them to say ...
"I don't trust the universe"
Being a deeply spiritual being, they refused to say it.

"How can I receive more blessings in my life, so that I can give more blessings to others?",one of my students recently asked.
I was moved by this thoughtful and endearing plea to do more and be more in the world from an already inspiring young lady.
My reply to her, as I know it to be true, was
" Nothing else is required for you to have more, do more, or be more blessings in the world and in your life, because...
The being that you are is already is enough"
The only thing that is require to have more blessings in our life is the knowing that we already are all that we wish to receive, and all that we wish to share.
Being that energy, becomes that energy.

Full Moon ALERT!
You know they say the full moon makes people crazy, right?
What if it just made us lucky?

The Full Moon in Capricorn today will make you want to WORK. It will make you want to get things done, organize your finances, figure stuff out that makes you feel like you've checked off some boxes on your proverbial "To Do" list.
