Freedom is not free until it gives equal rights to all.

Good morning everyone , today i the Great speaker are going to throw a light over over the information about the republic day which we celebrate every year on 26th January,In the memory of our great freedom fighters

Republic means " a state where people enjoy supreme power, freedom and choose their own representatives." They got this tremendous power / freedom as India had got its new Constitution on this day. Earlier India had no constitution. The country had no means to provide its people such power and freedom within some limits . On the same date i.e. on 26th Jan 1950, Dr Rajendra Prasad became First President of Republic India.

On every 26th January, people from across the country celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Republic Day is celebrated in every village, town, city and capital of each state as well as in Delhi. In Delhi, the Celebration takes place at India Gate.

The President of India unfurls the national flag. He receives salutes from the three wings of Army, Police, N.C.C. etc. There is also one foreign dignitary as the Chief Guest of the function. People not only from the country but from other countries come to see the Republic Day. I would now speak on The father of our Indian Constitution Dr. B R ambedkar.

Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar popularly known as Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, economist, and social reformer who fought economic and social discrimination against the untouchables (now dalits) in India's Hindu society, and who later renounced Hinduism and inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement. Ambedkar served as chairman of the drafting committee of the Constitution of India, and Minister of Law and Justice in the first cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru from 1947 to 1951. He is also referred to by the honorific Babasaheb Upon India's independence on 15 August 1947, the new Congress-led government invited Ambedkar to serve as the nation's first Law Minister, which he accepted. On 29 August, he was appointed Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee, and was appointed by the Assembly to write India's new Constitution

Under his leasdership the constituion was drafted within 1 or 1 and a half year on 26 November 1949 but it was amended on 26 January 1950

Many freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chndra BOse, BHagat Singh, Chnadrashekhar Azad and all those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom , their sacrifice will never go in vain.

'Don’t see the colors our national flag has, feel the meaning it reveals behind.'

THANK YOU
