The Grit & Wit podcast is for busy women running small businesses whilst juggling their family commitments (and often sanity) who want to let go of the overwhelm, and thrive. Your host is Liz Carrington, a pro photographer & founder of the boutique creative agency 'elevate'. Through inspiring conversations with likeminded female entrepreneurs and sharing practical tips and advice, plenty of the 'how', we help you to navigate the highs and lows of building a business, with Grit and Wit.
In this week’s episode I talk to Simone from The Premier PA.
Simone gives me an insight into how working with an experienced PA can enhance your business and how to find your best fit.
We also discuss the nuts and bolts of how Simone runs her business, how Brand Foundations helped her get clarity on what she wanted from self-employment and how she has overcome the challenges of shaping her company.

Welcome to Episode 3
This week my gorgeous guest is Fleur McCrone a personal stylist who runs a thriving business in Kent, UK. We talk all things style, how Fleur made the pivot to setting up her own styling business with 3 young children, feeling the fear and doing it anyway and her incredible journey from college student to tutor, mentor and QVC host in only 3 years.
I pick Fleur’s brains on jeans, trainers, capsule wardrobes and the ‘hot’ items to be buying now. We talk all things business, with an emphasis on the getting started bit.
I hope you enjoy.

Welcome to Episode 2
Well, what an episode! This week Beth Hammond shares her story. Beth is a wonderful life coach who specialises in women’s confidence, a mum of two girls and quite honestly the most positive person I know, . Beth has had a challenging past 6 months and we discuss the secrets to being, and staying, positive when life is throwing all kinds of crazy at you.
A truly uplifting and inspiring person Beth is someone I’m proud to call a good friend. As you may know Beth and I were due to launch a business together in September 2019; The PROPEL Club, this episode should go some way to explaining why those plans were put on ice for now.
The idea that we can choose positivity and cultivate a positive outlook is one that deserves our full attention. I really hope you enjoy listening.
