The two Republican candidates for Alabama Senate District 31 spoke at the Pike County Republican Women’s Luncheon today. Josh Carnley and Mike Jones both discussed their backgrounds, political stances and answered questions from the audience regarding federal vaccine mandates and gambling in Alabama. The incumbent senator, Republican Jimmy Holley, has served since 1998 and will not be seeking reelection.
Emergency meeting called to approve deep cleaning of the schools to help combat COVID-19.
Sharon McSwain-Holland defeated incumbent Robert Jones for the Troy City Council District One seat this past Tuesday. While on the way to the Pike County Republican's Luncheon, I was able to record an inpromptu phone interview with Columnist Steve Flowers. We talked about the impact that redistricting will have on this year's congressional race in our part of Alabama.
Candidates for AL-D2 Congressional seat, currently held by Martha Roby spoke at the Troy Country Club today. This is the complete recording and I'll post the individual speakers in separate podcast as soon as possible.
