Gittleman became cognizant of the issue after she developed a tumor on the side of her head that she held her cell phone up to. Surprisingly, cordless phones can be 100 times riskier than cell phones-- they're like having a mini cell phone tower in your home, she reported, adding that people should try and replace these models with corded phones. It's also not a good idea for people to carry cell phones close to their body such as in a pants pocket, or use them in a tightly enclosed space like a car, she noted. Try to keep electronic devices away from your head, especially in your bedroom, Gittleman advised. She suggested that people could use an AM transistor radio, tuned between stations, as a testing device to see which areas in your home are emitting strong signals. Static will emanate from the radio when there is an electronic field, and ideally, you should place your furniture at a safe distance from these fields, she continued. To combat exposure, she said there are a number of things people can do nutrition-wise, including taking Vitamin D, magnesium, EFA's, and melatonin (for sleep), as well as eating asparagus and artichokes. Author specializing in the paranormal, metaphysics and conspiracies, Marie D. Jones, for a discussion on topics related to mind control. "We have people trying to come up with new and improved ways to make us behave certain ways as a population," Jones said, noting how social engineering is used to control groups of people. She talked about a form of psychological abuse called 'gaslighting' that narcissists use to instill anxiety and confusion in their victims. Jones traced the beginnings of the CIA's mind control program, Project MKUltra, to what was learned from foreign mind control specialists gathered through Operation Paperclip. Torture is the main method for breaking down someone's mind, she continued. Program such as MKUltra sought to destroy a subject's original personality and replace it with an alternate one, such as assassin or spy, which could be triggered whenever needed. "They make sure that through the hypnosis the alters don't remember what they've done," Jones revealed. Sirhan Sirhan's defense claimed he was under the influence of hypnosis, possibly a victim of MKUltra, when he fired his weapon at Robert F. Kennedy, she added. Jones outlined the different levels of programming an alter and shared story of mind control victim Carol Rutz. According to Jones, Rutz was turned over as a child by her grandfather to be subjected to electroshock therapy, drugs, trauma, and sensory deprivation, in order to split her personality and create a kind of Manchurian candidate. Jones believes MKUltra's mind control research continued after it was 'shutdown' by Congress in 1964. Anthony Sanchez talked about his work developing apps for paranormal research using technologies such as motion detection, radio scanning, and audio analysis. He explained that the inspiration for designing his programs came from the realization that the vast majority of paranormal apps are either used to generate pranks or rely on randomness rather than mathematics or scientific principals. Beyond that, Sanchez observed, none of the apps were "leveraging the intrinsic technology that's embedded in the devices." As such, he drew on his extensive history as a software engineer and realized that Bluetooth technology could be used as a radio scanner which would pick up ultrahigh frequencies and also detect electromagnetic interference. This subsequently led to the development of nearly ten different apps which can be used for various forms of paranormal research. One such app, called the Spirit Communications Device, allows users to scan internet radio and pick up EVPs in a way that is similar to the popular ghost hunting tool known as 'Frank's Box.' Sanchez has also designed an app called 'Ghost Cam Pro' which uses "military-grade motion detection algorithms," which can, amongst other uses, recognize thermal changes and prompt a photograph to be taken at that very moment. Another feature of the app, he said, is an audio spectrogram that allows users to see the sounds that are occurring in the room, including those that are normally imperceptible to the human ear.
