God gave his commands relative to prosperity in the Old Testament. We will be looking at the Old Testament verses first and discussing how they should be applied to our finances.

With his commands, God gave specific instructions on how he would prosper the Israelites. The commands were given because of the problem with widows an orphans in the communities. God also wanted to bless the people for following his commandments.
