Christ-Centered, Expositional Preaching We are a church who has deliberately chosen to build its people through expositional preaching with a Christ-centered approach. What that means is that the messages you hear preached at First Southern will typically work through a particular bible passage verse by verse in order to declare the truth of the text and to apply it to everyday life. The preaching is Christ-centered in that the bible is always interpreted in light of the grand story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each time we preach, it is our goal to connect with every listener, declare the truth, allow the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, and consider how we might live out that declared truth in everyday life. It is a very simple approach but we believe that God is using it to transform his people. For that we are grateful! You are encouraged to listen to the sermons below and wrestle deeply with what the Holy Spirit may be saying to you. May you be changed by the word of God.
