Who knew? I didn’t myself just two hours ago on June 15, 2026. It was two hours ago that I called the wonderful producers at RBN and told them that James Kelso is retiring from patriot radio….tonight! I can’t thank all of you out in Listenerland enough, just as I cannot praise Mike and Julie at RBN enough for all these many years of devoted work. You may ask: “why?”. Two reasons, one at 78 every extra hour I can spend with my young kids is precious. And two, at 78 it dawned on me that I had become an old man, in spite of my Scottish denials of reality, and that I have run out of gas after 23 non-stop years of patriot radio. But, somehow, we’ll all meet again some sunny day.
What’s going on? President Trump posted this AFTER he countermanded his OWN order to attack the IRGC for a 3rd night: “The terms leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing. What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth. Very dishonorable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith. AMAZING!” Mr. President, what you just said is the truth! But your actions in waffling on getting rid of the IRGC contradict your own words!
Please tell me it ain’t so! On June 11, 2026, President Trump has reverted to his obsession with “a very, very good deal” with the IRGC. This after only two days of resuming the very, very victorious assaults of the U.S. military vaporizing the IRGC. Hopefully the IRGC will save President Trump from himself by giving him, for the thousandth time, the big jihad digital salute. And then we can hope that President Trump will come back to his senses and resume dismantling forever the IRGC terrorist regime that has plagued all of the people of Iran, and of the world, for 47 years.
If more proof was needed that President Trump is an avid listener to The Trump Phenomenon, we got more proof tonight, June 10, 2026, as America’s greatest President by far heeded our very rare taking of exception to one of his policies. He reversed course, just as we hoped he would, on his uncharacteristically misguided obsession with “getting a great deal” with the IRGC thugs. Now he’s back on the right path, which is to blow the hell out of the IRGC and enable the Iranian people to free their 92-million-strong nation from 47 years of brutal Communist savagery. That savagery importantly included, for us and the whole world, the IRGC psychopathic march towards nuclear Armageddon. News just came in that President Trump launched 49 Tomahawk missiles into the IRGC tonight. That’s the way ya’ do it (to quote Mark Knopfler of Hormuz, err I mean Dire, Straits!)
Kelso is still, on June 9, 2026, wagering his lunch money that the greatest president in American history is about to get smoked by the IRGC if he continues stubbornly in his quest for what he called yesterday a “very, very good deal” to which he is so close that he, in his own words, could close the “very, very good deal” in just one hour!
Here’s a new one for you; “Trump is WRONG on Iran”. Trump’s whole idea of coming up with a “good deal” to be “negotiated” with the killers of the IRGC is brain dead. The thugs of the IRGC have been working President Trump from day one until the present. There is no “good deal” coming “very soon”. For close on three months, President Trump has been snatching defeat from the jaws of the military victory won in the opening weeks of the Iran war. President Trump needs to realize that he is damn close to doing what he promised not to do at the start of the war, which is to abandon the people of Iran.

Tonight, June 4, 2026, the Trump Phenomenon Show, talks about those who fancy themselves on the right, but are deeply cynical about President Trump. I find that a revealing question to ask of these folks is: “then who DO you admire?” The long pause upon being asked this question serves to bolster my point, which is that these folks are much more interested in complaining (about everything) than in Making America Great Again.
I’m liking what I think I’m hearing from President Trump, on June 3, 2026, as the best strategy for utterly defeating the vile IRGC/Mullah regime.
I think President Trump has correctly assessed our American (pro-freedom) strengths and the Mullah’s (freedom-hating) severe weaknesses.
I think President Trump has realized that economically strangling the IRGC with a blockade will work better than a large hot war. The judicious use of hot strikes, when advisable, is part of this blockade strategy.
The IRGC tyranny is already crumbling as it is.
Trump appears to realize that it will be the 80-or-more million Iranians who passionately hate the IRGC who will soon enough tear the IRGC apart: With our support, including the blockade.

The electricity is in the air. Trump says today he’ll announce his VP pick in the next 48 hours. He even adds that he hasn’t yet informed this person that he or she is the pick! Talk about a showman…with exquisite timing. All of this will be the buzz as CNN tries to scramble for desperately-needed audience by announcing that they will not allow the Trump debate to be livestreamed on YouTube. But, wait….oops! Elon Musk just announced that he, a believer in free speech, WILL LIVESTREAM the Trump/Biden smackdown.
Today, June 21, 2024, two huge national polls show DJT thumping the head of the Biden Crime Family by 9 points (Interactive Polls) and 10 points (Rasmussen) respectively! No Republican has ever shown such a lead over a Democrat for President. And…..the best is YET to come. We won’t see the best until this coming Thursday, just 6 short days away, after all of America witnesses the greatest thrashing ever administered in a Presidential (or any other) debate.
I have to pinch myself on June 20th, 2024, at the prospect that the Biden v. Trump debate is actually going to happen one week from tonight, June 27th! The Biden people actually engaged today in the “coin toss” to pick who goes first and last, and who gets to stand where on the stage. In other words, they’re actually saying that they will show up.
Were we right about J.D. Vance as the best Trump pick for V.P.? It’s looking that way on June 17, 2024. The huge in size and even huger in weight with President Trump poll taken at the same time that Trump was speaking at the Detroit Turning Point USA “People’s Convention” was a total victory for Vance. The 10,000 roaring right-wing attendees picked Vance with 43% of their votes. Vance thereby shellacked the other 3 poll choices: Tim Scott (Sen. South Carolina) got a pathetic 15%. Marco Rubio (Sen. Florida) got pummeled at 7%. And lowest of all, Gov. Doug Burgum of my own North Dakota came in last at a lower 7%! This was a huge straw poll that surely got the FULL ATTENTION of President Trump! It’s Vance folks!
The great patriot books are piling up in my mailbox. Today, June 14, 2024, Donald Trump’s 78th birthday, I opened my copy of Charlie Kirk’s new book: “Right Wing Revolution”. Speaking of great patriot books, and deep ones at that, I noticed behind J.D. Vance doing an interview from his home library, that my favorite pick among the Trump Final Four of VP candidates has on his personal shelves Ayn Rand’s “The Virtue of Selfishness”, and I could also make out Friedrich A. Hayek’s great and pioneering “The Road to Serfdom”. Those are the only two titles I could make out from the hundred books arrayed behind Vance. But if the only two whose spines I could make out are these two YUGE! books in our intellectual right wing journey, that’ s all the evidence I need that the brilliant J.D. Vance IS READING and HAS ALREADY READ the Right Stuff!
Am I reading too much into the placing of Ohio Senator J. D. Vance directly behind D. J. (get it?) Trump at D. J. Trump’s brilliant press conference after his momentous meeting yesterday in the Capitol with all of the Republican Senators and Congressmen? What a campaign flag that would make…..Trump/Vance in ’24 Here I sit, on June 13, 2024, with my just-arrived precious copy of a First Edition of J. D. Vance’s terrific book, “Hillbilly Elegy”, published in 2016….six years before his successful 2022 run for Ohio Senator. And, oh my, what do I see on the title page of my E-Bay acquisition? A beautiful big signature by J. D. Vance! When I saw this signed first edition beauty (in never-been read condition) on E-Bay I couldn’t slam my “Buy Now” button fast enough when I saw the giveaway price of $49. Will I be able to retire on the appreciation of this treasure as Vice President Vance becomes President Vance in 2028 and again in 2032?
Yet another brilliant vote-attracting move today, June 12, 2024. It turns out (and I have been ignorant of this heretofore) that Donald Trump is very knowledgeable and a big supporter of Bitcoin. He scored big at the Libertarian convention when he proclaimed that he would do everything in his upcoming Presidential power to defend Bitcoin. I was not aware, but President Trump made me aware today, that 1/4 of Americans own Bitcoin! And he informs me, today, that Creepy Joe HATES Bitcoin and all of its competitors. Trump promises us all, this week, that he will help all Bitcoin users, and will work assiduously to keep Bitcoin mining right here in America. Biden is trying to banish it.
Tonight, June 11, 2024, I somehow wandered off down memory lane, and did a long reading from fellow radio host, and former high school classmate friend, Michael Medved’s NY Times bestseller autobiography, entitled “Right Turns”. “Right Turns” came out in 2004. And in it, Mike, relates the story of his personal epiphany, and his “right turn”, into becoming persuaded that being a conservative was a very right thing to do. And he did it. And, in the book he gives me very generous credit for being the key person in rethinking the liberalism of his earlier years. That key interaction, and sort of “mind-meld” happened as Mike was extensively interviewing me for his best-selling book “What Really Happened to the Class of ’65?” Specifically, our extraordinary class of ’65 at Palisades High School, in Pacific Palisades, California. Mike was astonished to find as he interviewed me that the “really nice guy Jamie” who was a buddy at “Pali Hi” had become a dedicated activist member of The John Birch Society. This interviewing took place back in 1976 in our old Palisades High School homes. Mike writes in “Right Turns” that he wasn’t that attracted by my John Birch enthusiasm. But he WAS attracted by the philosophical underpinnings of Kelso’s evolution as a right-winger. That underpinning was a deep dive as a young man into the thought of Ayn Rand. Mike writes: “At Jamie’s insistence I undertook a reading of the works of Ayn Rand, and that thinking changed my own thinking into the ‘Right Turn’ that the conservative career of Mike Medved (as one of the most influential thinkers on the right I, Kelso, might add) has taken for almost half a century”. A fun trip down Memory Lane for Kelso tonight. And it’s still all very relevant, since Mike has a magnificent chance to be remembered as an important member of a rapidly growing host of Trump-doubters who have come to see him as “not such a bad guy after all”.

One of Saul Alinsky’s key “Rules for Radicals” was: “Make the right live by their own rules!” In other words, make them defeat themselves. We “fight” with gloves, and Marquess of Queensbury Rules. And we lose. Over and over. The left fights to win. And they are winning. They now control every American institution. The actual will of the American people is seen by them as nothing but an impediment to their takeover. Trump has done what NO OTHER man in American history has done. He has SPOKEN, including our most angry language, exactly what we have been forbidden, by our own rules up to now, to say. He has SPOKEN, out loud and in public, what we are even forbidden to think. As bad as things are today, April 23, 2024, as we stare at insane and evil overlords who have captured our nation, and now seek to start World War III….I thought today it might be encouraging for us to consider times in which our forebears suffered EVEN WORSE horrors than what each of us experience now.
