All of society presses in upon us, domesticating, taming, and bridling us. Negative news cycles built for ratings and agenda, corporate life turning us into cogs in the machine. To paraphrase Walt Whitman, " I too am no bit tamed animal, I too am untranslatable, I sound my Barbaric Yawp across the rooftops of the world." This show is about manhood and the morals and virtues that are now considered barbaric.
What does it mean to be a man? What do women mean when they say, "Where are all the good men?"
In this episode I will lay down my definition of man and briefly discuss why I believe it is important to not only individual men but also society as a whole. This will be a challenging episode to many men but I hope you will stick it out. Together I believe we can become what we ought to be.
The Definition of Man
"Man is a created moral agent who is responsible for everything within his domain. He is the initiator, cultivator and protector of goodness, honor, love, courage, patience and wisdom. He is faithful in his sacrificial servant leadership. His presence is felt and his absence is heavy."

I wanted to relaunch this podcast with a clear explanation of Why I am doing any of this in the first place. So here goes...
I passionately believe that if men would step up into their full potential the world would be a different and better place. But they can't with out help. The reason for this is multifaceted but a short list includes, absent fathers, or no fathers, no initiation, no role models of "complete" masculinity, the sacrifice of heroes by our society, the mocking of manhood on tv, etc... So because I believe men stepping into masculinity can change the world I want to encourage that and do anything I can to help develop it. This podcast is going to be a start and hopefully a place to start discussing this issue and sharing the solutions that I see for it. I hope you will listen and chime in.
