Death is no stranger to podcast host and author, Martika Whylly. Experiencing her mother's suicide at the tender age of 15, her grandma's death two years later, followed by her uncle dying in a car accident shortly after, her father passing from AIDS and a cousin who hung herself, Martika found her life work being defined not so much by desire but by design. "Suffering a loss can make you feel like your whole world has collapsed, yet even in the deepest despair, there’s always hope," is a motto that drives Martika to share her insights and wisdom with others.

Katie Nall talks about dissolving WAFFLES (worries, anxiety, fear, frustration, lethargy, exhaustion and stress) through EFT or tapping to release negativity.
In this episode of the podcast, we’re talking about releasing negative emotions that are blocked or stuck in the body using the technique called EFT (emotional freedom technique) or tapping. Katie walks us through a tapping session and explains the benefits of practicing on a regular basis.
“There's only a few spots on your body that you work on and those hit about 98% of your organs. Now, why would you be concerned about connecting to your organs?
Well, if you ever heard of a broken heart or an upset stomach, that our emotions get stored in different parts of our body. Tapping on these different acupressure points, kind of like an acupuncture would do. They are related to the different organs in our body. And so, as we tap on them, it releases that blockage and allows that emotion to move on.” Katie Nall

Joanne Williams talks about guilt, her experiences working in long term care homes, statistics on the current suicide rate with caregivers, Covid-19 and the economy.
In this episode of the podcast, we’re talking about how guilt can lead to depression and the distinction between grief and depression. Joanne shares her experiences working in long term care homes helping people transition and the guilt family members face around death. We touch on the differences of elderly care in other parts of the world and the alarming suicide rate within the caregiving communities in America because they are understaffed, stressed and overworked.
“When I saw this statistic and I think it was from an Alzheimer's organization, that 80 percent, I believe it was of the caregivers succumb to an illness before the person they were caring for died. So, there is a complete strain on that caregiver.
And the other statistic that really concerns me is that now, along with 18 to 24 year old’s, but unpaid caregivers now the suicide rate has doubled. I think people are just getting so overwhelmed.” Joanne Williams

And he always told us if we went around the gate when the train was coming, we were going to be killed. So, I always equated those trains coming to death. So, when all these people started dying, I kept saying, you know, the Soul Train is coming and just taking all these people.” Kathy D. Wagner

In this episode of the podcast, we’re talking about how a near death experience can bring one the awareness of that our souls are eternal. We can choose to incarnate many times, many places and many types of body forms. Wendy walks us through how past grief can show up as depression, anxiety and pain and she helps people release energy that no longer serves them.
“If the person is just, you know, really being triggered, we often find that there's this deeper pattern that they hadn't known about. And we can heal it by visiting, by going back to what's called the lifetime of origin. When they first started to really feel that grief, that loneliness, the anger, that rage, you know, whatever the emotion might be, it's wonderful to get back to that source. When did it first happened and why?” Wendy Rose Williams
