This self-taught musician, media artist and writer exploded into the international club scene as a DJ in early 2000. Obra's presence was felt in the underground circuit parties in Cali, Colombia (Mistika, Club Oz) and Puerto Rico (Eros). In the US, Obra's powerful sound has been felt on the Dance Floors of Miami, San Diego, New Orleans and his hometown of New York City. Obra has further reached the masses by launching the Official Obra Primitiva Tribal Session Podcast and a bi-monthly internet radio show on hearthis, soundcloud, mixcloud and his high ranking casts in the Tribal house category streamed on Podomatic.
In the club scene, Obra showcased his beat rich sets twice a month at the FREAK Party Thursdays, HOTMALE Fridays and Saturday Evening Xtreme (S.E.X) hosted at the legendary G Lounge in New York City, Splash Superclub NYC's F-Word Party on Fridays, Bartini Ultra-Lounge thursdays SCORE Party and Sky High at Hudson Terrace on Sundays as well as CLICK Fridays at the superclub XL and BPM NYC. In 2013 Obra brought his sound to the MATINEE PRIDE Event along side a roster of top ranked international DJs. In 2014 San Diego Pride Closed out an amazing celebration with its annual ACTION! Underground Party where Obra brought the house down for the first time on the West Coast. Nationally recognized parties Such as STATION, HAUS of FANTASY and NSA (Cellar Bar) have had the full experience as well.
Presently, in New York City, Obra Primitiva sets the bar high as the pick DJ/Producer to launch epic parties like Ski High and most recently,Eu4ria (Hudson Terrace), Circuit and KINK Evolution (EVO Club Queens NY) and TROY After hours. His dedication to bring a high caliber, unique musical experience has landed him a residency in THE landmark party in New York City presently….BRUT at Santos Party House.
Obra is a highly respected and sought out producer amongst his colleagues. His productions are a microcosm of a hand picked group of talented artist and producers that in the past, present and forever will influence house music and its sub genres, crystal clear evidence of his dedication and passion to the house music experience leading him to create and produce his own unique sound in the tribal/progressive house genre. With deep influences of iconic DJ/Producers like Ralphi Rosario, Danny Tanaglia, Victor Calderone, Hex Hector, Friburn & Urik, and the late yet immortally legendary Club 69's Peter Rauhofer and the Godfather of House Frankie Knuckles. Obra delivers a powerful erotic tribal sound that reflect his influences of House, rich in history, rhythm, explosive latin beats with entrancing yet energetic melodic baselines. Obra's releases have been housed by domestic indie labels (BIG MOUTH Music, Stimulus Recondings, Flava Music, Contraversial, and Luneye Music) as well as international house labels (EPride Music, Renno Records, Dasound).

Here is Volume 2 of my HISTORIA podcast. It’s a collection of all my work...remixes, reworks and original work. I have had the honor of working with so many amazing artists and nightlife personalities. This set if a full retrospective reflection of my musical journey.....tracks and works that originated early on in my career in 1998 til my most recent soon to be released. I hope you enjoy the energy, percussion, rhythm passion and love put into all these tracks. I am a self taught producer and dj and I am always learning. A million thank yous to the handful of producer djs that have inspired me and most importantly the amazing people the feel the message and story I try to tell through house. De mi OBRA a tu corazón.

It has brought back many memories that were part of the production process of every single track on here. These are ALL my remixes and/or original work. In retrospect I am truly humbled and honored by the amazing talent that has been involved throughout the years. 18 plus years to be exact. I am a self taught producer and I have learned so much. There still remains much more to learn. As long as this passion fuels the beating drum in my heart...there is so much more to come. Thank you to all those who get my musical story and walked beside me on this musical journey of development.

Here is the first hour of my Afterhours Set Live at The Oasis Club in San Francisco during Halloween Weekend for the launch Of RAUNCH. Hope you enjoy it as much i enjoyed spinning.
I cant pay true homage to my house music roots without dedicating at least one session to the DIVA. That amazing singer that literally takes you to church on the dancefloor, that artist that delivers such an spectacular vocal performance layered with a SICK anthem that you are riddled with goosebumps head to toe on the floor.
These artists are true house music divas that have influenced my sets and productions. With the exception of one Diva who is a pop star, that being the LEGENDARY and Late Whitney Houston, there are no other remixed pop stars in this set. PURE HOUSE MUSIC DIVAS. All tracks are at least 12-15 years old. I have done little to no editing because the tracks are that truly EPIC in my opinion and you deserve the full experience. Ive delivered to you over 2 hours of Divas everdelicious. There are many more that are not in the set....hmmmmmm maybe a part 2 is in order.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did. There are some tracks that were vinyl transfers and/or mastered with limits when release so Ive tried my best to brighten them up a bit.
I LOVE EACH AND EVERY SINGER AND TRACK ON HERE. I HOPE IT WILL BE A NOSTALGIC AS WELL AS AN EPIC MUSICAL EXPERIENCE.

Session 2 of my ROOTS Podcast dedicated to the sounds, DJs and Producers that inspired me as an DJ and the sound I capture as a producer. There is SO MUCH good music out there that has been forgotten or simply is unknown by current DJs that I feel its important to expose and continue this musical legacy. These tracks are 9, 10, 12 plus years since their release. Ive tried my best to maintain their quality since technology has made music production more dynamic.
I learned from a musical era of HUGE intros,extended remixes and epic anthems. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
With this podcast I compiled tracks that helped define my sound as a producer as well as what you will hear on the dancefloor when I spin. With the exception of 2 or 3 tracks, the rest are tracks at least 8, 9, 15, 18 years old. Some are vinyl so i had to tweak the sound quality a bit.
Nevertheless is is a hard, NYC tribal sound that to me, defined what tribal house was and the root of many spin off genres. If you know your history you will recognize many of these tracks and the pioneers that brought them to life.

This Podcast was recorded live at Santos Party House in NYC, Aug 29th for the Incredible BRUT Party. I had the privilege of spinning for this party and quite frankly dark, intense vibe exists no where else like it does at BRUT in NYC. The live podcast brings the overall feel of my set and what I was aiming to bring you that night.... Its Dark....its Heavy and its Tribal.
