The dust settles on the Resident Evil 3 remake and the gang of Vanessa, Paul, and Chris convene to discuss the aftermath. A review of the likes, dislikes, enthusiastically gabbing about the horrors of this return to Raccoon City. Covering the changes in scenario's pacing, monster adjustments, the gameplay mechanics, environmental storytelling, and some character highlights, it's a lot of banter, a lot of talk, and some theorizing. A mix of what was liked and what were disappointments. A little bit of this, a little bit of that!

It's March 2020. The Resident Evil 3 remake is almost out. And so Vanessa and her fellow nerds decide to take a trip into the Raccoon City trilogy's finale - RESIDENT EVIL 3: NEMESIS. On the way, they make a stop in with the news of the REmake3 demo's release and a discussion of it. Then it's time for analysis and discourse. The trio cover the unique design of the later-PSone era title, the way it expanded the franchise's most memorable location, and some of the characters the player gets to play as or encounter along the journey of Jill Valentine's last escape. Heavily emphasizing discussion of the Beginning Hour demo, the design similarities to the original Resident Evil/BIOHAZARD, the use of different film homages, and some analysis of the characters. In the first episode of The Spencer Estatement, Vanessa and pals introduce themselves, talk up the recent Resident Evil 2 remake released in 2019, compare it to the original game from 1998, and try to avoid going on too many tangents or cosines. A mix of nostalgia and analysis is the atmosphere of this episode, so much so that maybe the gang of survivors won't be able to escape this topic just yet. But that's okay... it's only the beginning!
