People Organized for Women's Empowerment and Representation is a club organized at CSU Fresno. We hope to inform the public on what feminism is using an intersectional lens, while also exploring feminist related topics.
This episode is a continuation of our discussion on Reproductive Justice. First we use the article, "'Anchor/Terror Babies' and Latina Bodies: Immigration Rhetoric in the 21st Century and the Feminization of Terrorism" to examine the language used to dehumanize Latina women and their babies. I have also invited Aleks, an undergraduate student, to further discuss what reproductive justice looks like for women who have migrated to the United States.
