Welcome to another episode of AFL Unlimited! North Melbourne finally got one back after 14 straight wins, but Richmond for the second week in a row cost themselves dearly, and may have voided their finals place. What was billed as an early elimination final turned out to be exactly that as the Saints eliminated themselves in a horrid first quarter against and average dogs team. Meanwhile, we maybe just be seeing the beginning of one of the great careers.
The Dogs and Saints play in an elimination final on Friday nights, as spots in the 8 lessen by the week!
The Suns escaped in a thriller whilst Richmond lick their wounds. Geelong are making a play as the best team in the comp whilst the Pies follow them on form.
Round 17 kicks off with a blockbuster Thursday night game as the Demons travel to take on the 2nd placed Cats
Another big week of footy culminated in Port and Suns likely bowing out of the finals race, whilst teams are left vulnerable with their position in the 8.

A ripping round of footy gets the second half of the season away, as a contentious issue lingers on our lips. Tom Stewart's bump has shocked the footy world and will likely lead to some reform in the game, whilst the Cats got the chocolates in the end. The Eagles got a win at long last whilst the Bombers quickly eroded their good will.

Friday night provided a thriller with the Cats and Jeremy Cameron just getting over the line over the struggling Dogs. Melbourne need to face their demons after its second loss in a row against a bubbling Swans side, and Freo are a legitimate contender in the flag race with a strong win at home over the Lions. Lots to talk about this week!
Freo had a big win over the Dees and The Pies proved they could make the 8! Why is Buddy challenging a striking charge he won't win!?

Hawthorn completed one of the great upsets of the season as they downed the Lions in Tassie, while Freo have slipped their foothold on the top 4 with back to back costly losses. Carlton stormed over Sydney in the 2nd quarter and have become the real deal.

With Destiny on shoulder and the Demon army on his back, Max Gawn delivered one of the greatest ever finals performances to get Melbourne into the Grand Final.
On Friday night, he and the Demons looked poised to win the ultimate prize….and then the Dogs did what none expected and blew away Port Adelaide in the first quarter to set up one of the most tantalizing Grand Final matchups in years.
For what the prelim finals lacked in competitiveness, it made up for in the stories of victory and triumph, loss and disappointment.
For Brisbane, another shocking finals exit begins to mount after 3 bites at a flag apple have lead to 1 win out of 6 finals. Further heartache ensued shortly after their loss with an unexpected departure seemingly imminent.
GWS while gallant, were ultimately too beat up to continue the fight, as they bow out with an optimistic view to 2022, but with some obvious changes needing to occur, their path is not as clearly defined as they’d hoped.
The Bulldogs have sparked a fire which looks to burn in similar flame to that of their '16 finals series, but they'll need to get over some damaging injury issues before coming up against a raging power team on their own streets.
And Geelong continue their pattern of finals discrepancies, looking to enter a 2nd grand final in 2 years, but needing to face their own demons to get there first and a chance at redemption.
This is finals 2021.
In scenes all too familiar, Port Adelaide burnt the Cats away in the first qualifying final, straight into the prelim in the box seat, while the Cats lick their wounds.
In what has become an instant classic on and off the field, the third rendition in finals of the battle of the bridge came down to the barest of margins.
The Demons took another step closer to their destiny, while the Lions looked close for a while before capitulating late.
The sons of the West turned their fortunes around with a stirring victory over the Bombers, who lost out but know that they're in the beginning of a potentially great new pathway.

It was a massive week in the AFL landscape as finals are just around the corner, and the snakes and ladders of the season continue to mystify right until the very end.
The MRO is a continual source of debate, the Western torch has been passed, The Giants are somehow mounting a finals charge after a horror season and The Dogs have left themselves in a precarious position as the top 4 will only be known until right at the death.

Bruce is out for the rest of the season for the Dogs, Tex is in the spotlight after his racist comments were pointed out, MRO has another stinker of a week, Murphy to retire after game 300, and great news for Giant’s fans with Josh Kelly signing a MEGA deal.

A Carlton young gun has taken the leap to excellence, while the Lions and Swans get things back on track. It’s been another big week in Footy, and with a third of the season almost complete, we’re certainly enjoying the ride.
Melbourne won big time on Saturday night, for Nathan Jones' 300th and by beating the reigning premiers at the G'.
The Dogs are flying and matching the Demons at 6-0, are we seeing a changing of the guard?
And do these two teams hold the best two players in the comp with Marcus Bontempelli and Christian Petracca?

We’re post silly season and what a season it was. A tumultuous 2020 trade period left everything to the last minute and was not without controversy as the pies are still in damage control over their handling of some of their players exits!
Meanwhile, some clubs quietly sit back and rub their hands together, waiting for the draft period and next year to begin!
The Tigers reign supreme in 2020, capping off an incredible four year stint! The footy world also said goodbye to a champion in Gary Ablett Jnr in a beautiful and touching moment!
Meanwhile while the playing season wraps up, the trade season is just beginning, with plenty of interest already surrounding this years trade period!

The saints painstakingly made their fans wait to the last seconds to give them some long awaited finals relief, whilst the dogs left their bite too late to make an impact on 2020
