I discuss what her 5 step process of mind management is and connect it to horses to help make the strengthen your why to do the work. In this episode I address two questions sent in from listeners that bring us back to some important questions to ask ourselves. The first question I cover is how to know if a horse is too much horse or if it is fear holding you back. I give three questions to ask yourself to help bring some scope to the situation. The second question is how to keep your sanity while your horse is injured. In this episode I have the privilege of speaking with Jim Masterson & Dylan Silver where they share the experience of producing the documentary film, “A Mind Like Still Water”. This film is one in which Dylan’s crew films Jim, the founder of The Masterson Method, a light touch equine massage technique, and Mark Rashid co-teach the yearly clinic they offer yearly which combines their teaching and methodologies. Along with bringing awareness to the film and sharing why they believe it is so important for the equestrian world, we also share how this work helps enhance the awareness of horse owners to build better partnerships with their horses. The film just scratches the surface of the work, but tells a brilliant story of how horses and humans come together and the impact they have on one another.

I recorded this one for all the women out there who I know are struggling to feel relaxed with and without their horses. I was inspired to record this shortly after attending a speaking event where I had the privilege of listening to Elizabeth Gilbert speak. Her talk sparked so many lights inside me and connected so many dots between what I see women needing help with everywhere and how it applied ten fold to horse women because the benefits of learning how to relax have a massive impact on their work with their horses and themselves and, in turn, everyone they interact with.
Elizabeth Gilbert discussed the impact she believes women learning and being able to be described as relaxed would have on the world. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t help but picture a world full of relaxed women and then I thought of the impact it would have on the horse world! Talk about an impact!
In this episode I speak about a method I have personally used to train my mind and body to relax and in turn the impact it had on me in a situation that would have normally left me feeling stressed or upset at the end of my day. I discuss the difference between relaxed and rested about how both states serve us.
