OMG - Tommy Chong came on the Bud & Blossom Podcast!
For the final episode of Season 1, I’m so excited to share this special surprise with you. I recently had the honor of sitting down - over Zoom - with Tommy Chong. Yes, Tommy Chong. Of the Cheech and Chong movies. The one and only!
Tommy has been delivering delightful stoner comedy since the 1970s. Since then, Tommy has continued his work as an actor, musician, and comedian. He has been a vocal cannabis advocate for over 50 years and has been called the “Pope of Dope”, the “Maharaja of Marijuana”, and “America’s Sweetheart of Cannabis”. These days, Tommy sells cannabis products under his brand, “Tommy Chong’s Cannabis”, helping his customers step toward cannabis wellness and better living.
It was an honor to meet Tommy in person. Or, well, virtually. Not only is he perhaps one of the most famous stoners out there, but as I learned firsthand, he’s a man with some serious wisdom.
Thank you for your listen - I do hope that you'll enjoy the show! Be sure to check out Tommy Chong's Cannabis at tommychong.com.

Today, I’m sharing my interview with Victor Ung, certified life coach, cannabis coach, and host of The Human Up Podcast. Victor is a guide who helps his clients find their inner power through deeper connection with their emotions. And, yes, he often guides this work by tapping into the power of the cannabis plant!
After experiencing workplace burnout and feelings of dissatisfaction several years ago, Victor went on a self-healing journey. He started to use cannabis, studied emotional intelligence, and then found the self-care and emotionally intuitive practices that brought him hope and resolve.
In this interview, you'll hear Victor share his personal experience with emotional intelligence and cannabis and how he has used his background to help others transform their lives.
Victor shares the details of his personal cannabis journey and how cannabis has helped him to dive deeper into meditation, inspire meaningful conversations with his colleagues, and unwind and have fun in his downtime.

Today I’m sharing my interview with Tori Rerick, the self-care and wellness guide behind the Well Connected platform and host of the 6 Degrees from Cannabis Podcast. For those of us needing to recommit to self-care right now, Tori’s message is a great one to tap into.
Tori is someone who transformed her life and her career after experiencing workplace burnout and disillusionment. Now, she has nailed her self-care routine and spends her time guiding others toward higher living and fulfillment. And, Tori actually uses the spiritual element of the cannabis plant to guide her business.
Tori used to work for Moon Mother Hemp, and so in this interview, she shares an inside scoop on what makes Moon Mother Hemp products so special. We then go on to share our mutual passion for CBD as a wellness tool. Tori is a big fan of hemp flower and she even compares it to a Sunday afternoon!
Finally, I think you’ll enjoy hearing how Tori talks about how cannabis has guided her career path. For many, cannabis truly arms us with the vision and courage we need in order to pursue what’s most important to us.

Today, I am sharing an interview I recorded with Beth Van Elswyk back in 2020. Beth is the woman behind Hemp Huntress, the Director of Sales at CBD Revolution, and a leader within the Astoria chapter of Tokeativity. She’s an advocate for equal rights, a connector of people, and she self-identifies as a “disruptor of capitalism”.
In this interview, Beth shares the in-and-outs of CBD and how CBD has helped many of the people within her community. She also speaks to the importance of sticking to your values when supporting the cannabis industry - the imperative to align yourself with other people and companies that actually walk the talk, have a better vision for people, and aren’t solely driven by the pursuit of raking in the dough. She also has a vision of empowering families and small businesses through hemp. I dig it!
Check out the episode for more on Beth's story and her work. You can also visit her website at hemphuntress.com and follow her on IG @hemphuntress.

In Episode 7, I had the honor of interviewing Jill Fuersich, cannabis user and educator extraordinaire. Jill is the Cofounder & CEO Endo Warriors. Endo Warriors is an in-person and online support organization for people with endometriosis and the organization focuses on patient support, patient education, and awareness campaigns.
Jill shared her personal cannabis story as well as how she has used cannabis to treat her endometriosis. We also talked about the cannabis self-titration process, chronic pain management, the role of cannabis in the future of healthcare, and how we’d like to see the endocannabinoid system taught in medical schools - because it isn’t right now. More than anything, Jill and I both want to see the medical community embrace cannabis as a medicine that can support chronic pain patients as they treat their pain symptoms and regain their quality of life.
Enjoy the show!
Many thanks to Jill for sharing her story. To follow along with her work, follow her on Instagram @jillendowarrior and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/endowarriors.

Today’s episode features an episode with blogger, podcaster, and Integrative Health Coach, Sarah MacLeod. Sarah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and Lyme disease as a young woman, and she has used cannabis to help her treat her diagnoses and regain control of her health.
Sarah shares that throughout her health challenges, she has had to step into becoming her own health advocate. In the episode, she shares how she wants others to be aware that, even when it comes to working with doctors and other healthcare providers, they - the patient - are ultimately in charge. Sarah’s an advocate for patients being empowered to take control of their own healthcare and I am heartened by her passion around this topic.
Toward the end of the interview, Sarah drops an excellent wellness tip: spend some time finding yourself. Make room for mindfulness and stillness. Determine what makes you joyful and happy and step toward that in your own way. And, when you need to, protect your own energy. I couldn’t agree more.

In this interview, I sit down with fellow podcaster, Joyce Gerber.
When you think of someone who smokes cannabis, you wouldn’t normally think of someone like Joyce. And that’s why I’m so excited to showcase her story. Cannabis users don’t necessarily fit a mold… and people of all walks of life are using this plant to improve their lives.
Joyce and I talk about how cannabis helps her stay connected to herself, her family, and even helps her become a better caregiver. I think that this perspective is valuable for people to hear, especially when we have so many parents working from home, taking care of their kids, and “doing it all”. These folks deserve some natural support!
Finally, Joyce shares that for her, cannabis led to an awakening. I am obsessed with this concept - the cannabis awakening. And I’m obsessed because I hear similar stories all the time. I also experienced my own cannabis awakening, which I also call my cannabis transformation. It’s truly a beautiful thing.
I hope that you enjoy this episode, and perhaps this can help you understand what a cannabis awakening could look like for you - if you haven’t experienced it already.

Today, I’m so excited to share an interview I recorded with fellow cannabis enthusiast, Charlotte Brathwaite, aka “Lotta Locks”.
Lotta is the founder of The Bakersmen Collective, which is a cannabis culture platform. Through the Bakersmen Collective, Lotta produces the Light up and Listen mixes, hosts the Functional Potheads podcast, and has recently launched a new series called Rising Brands that showcases the work up promising entrepreneurs in the cannabis space.
In this episode, Lotta shares her personal experiences with cannabis, and how cannabis has helped with her mental health and her ability to get in tune with her emotions. For Lotta, living her best life also includes the intentional combination of cannabis and music. She uses both cannabis and music to spur moments of peace and self-introspection and become her best self.
Lotta and I also talked about the fact that so far, social equity programs and policies in cannabis have not been effective and haven’t yet been successful in bridging the divide between white and black opportunity in the industry. And that we can’t stop pushing until the communities that have been impacted by the war on drugs receive true, restorative justice.
Finally, if you have been interested in the possibility of using CBD for pets, listen to what Lotta has to say about her dog’s transformation after she incorporated CBD into his food. Her account highlights that there is so much potential for CBD and full-plant medicine to change the game in terms of animal healthcare.
I hope you enjoy the interview! Follow along with Lotta and The Bakersmen Collective on Instagram @thebakersmencollective.

This episode features an interview with my guest, Fabiola Jimenez! Fabiola is a total boss. She is a senior transactional attorney for Cultiva Law in Seattle, and as you’ll hear a supporter of the Washington cannabis industry.
In this episode, Fabiola shares her insight about what it means to be a successful woman in the cannabis industry and why it is so important to align with a company that supports one’s professional growth. She also provides commentary on the stigma she has experienced due to her work in cannabis and also what it has been like to climb the ladder as a young, Mexican-American woman.
In this interview, we also explore why cannabis education is so important and why success is dependent on the pursuit of continual learning and growth. My professional experience tell me that this is absolutely true! Finally, we talk about the rising popularity of CBD products and how this has been a great opportunity to educate people about the medicinal properties of cannabis.
I think this episode will be particularly valuable to those working to create their own footprint in the cannabis industry, or wondering what stigma persists in this professional realm.
