On Little Known History, I will explore different topics of which a majority of people are not aware.
The Anglo-Zanzibar War is the shortest war in history. Fought between the British and Khalid bin Barghash (and his supporters), the conflict only lasted 38 minutes. For more information, visit Historic UK or South African History. They both do a wonderful job explaining this war.
This week I will be talking about Wilmer McLean in relation to the American Civil War. His home in Manassas was the site of the first battle of the war and his home in Appomattox Court House was the site of General Lee's surrender.
