Each episode in this series will focus on specific terminology of a topic within these subjects. For example, astronomical objects, string theory, and today’s focus: measurement and observation methods. I wanted to start with this topic because so often, you will hear terms referring to a measure of distance or a measure of brightness, and it’s very easy to get lost immediately, or to have no grasp of what that measurement means or what it translates to. I hope today’s episode will provide insight into frequently encountered terms, and the next time you’re reading an article or watching an episode of How The Universe Works, you’ll feel you can follow along seamlessly. Today’s episode will cover one part of important terms of measurement and observation methods, terms lettered a through m. References used: California Institute of Technology.
