What happens when dreams refuse die? When our thoughts begin to grow roots and our passion finds a path in the universe? We all want to have great faith. We direct our belief at results we envision. But may be what we forget in all this is that faith has a foundation, and almost always it is stable and unshakable. Faith is not vested in what we see but what we desire. If good health is our desire, it may be the foundation of the healing we chase after, not necessarily the absence if disease or sickness. All across the earth and universe we wander trying to find our way. But we are never lost in this reality. There is guidance availed us through all the energy around us. We will find our way, we will do well, we will live easy, only if we begin to understand that there is guidance, present and imminent if only we can tap into it.

Becoming an inspirational podcaster started at age 8 with me telling stories in the oral African tradition, to my little siblings. I created my own stories, joy, and influence. My little siblings lived listening to the tales. Now they are true tales and I hope to share them here.

Life is stormy. As someone said, "we are either approaching a storm, going through one, or getting out of one." Storms make us uneasy, panicky, and uncertain. The most difficult thing about storms is the waiting. And while we wait, we have anxiety. Life is like that. We have learned to live life, simply managing our anxieties. But that is not the purpose of life. Anxiety can be positive and negative too. In this episode, we look at how the storm may be good for you and what you can learn from nature.

Inundated with assignments, peripheral demands, and a constant desire to help and accommodate others, I learned to say no, disconnect, and focus on the work ahead so I could get ahead and finish well. In this episode i share how having mental "tunnel vision" helped me finish well. It is the "No" we sometimes have to utter, the commitments we must put aside, the pleasures we deny ourselves, and the influences we avoid that help us succeed in our long battles. I hope that the message about letting go and focusing will help you feel less guilty and motivated to get ahead in the face of temptations.

It has been a trying year for all of us. But as we look through the gloom there are flashes of brightness to be thankful for. The pfizer vaccine has been rolled out and it has been administered to the first person in the USA. The electoral college meets today to cast their final vote in the 2020 voting process. The wheels are still turning even if they have been in slow motion. What do we remember about this year? What lessons have we learned and what is there to be thankful for?

We are all born with unique traits and gifts. But, the moment we are born, the race to change us, to make us like everyone begins. We are confronted with expectations throughout life, from others, regardless of who they are. We are expected to dress a certain way, look a certain way, talk a certain way, and simply fit into this mold to gain approval. This episode invites you to do some introspection...to walk out and live your best life, as you imagine it.

If you are American and you care about our country, regardless of your political views, you are obviously worried about what happens beyond today. It is understandable if you are anxious. Many people are. Today's recording offers you encouragement, inspiration and hope to carry us all in the months and years to come. It is an election, it changes our government, but it does not change our resolve or hope for our nation. It does not alter our dreams and hopes for a better tomorrow. It may not extinguish our fears of what might be, but it does not extinguish our ability to stand up one more time and choose what is best for our country. Tomorrow will be a better day for making a difference no matter what the election results are. Get out and be counted beyond tomorrow. Tomorrow belongs to you, to me, and especially to our children, we must make that difference.

It is pandemic times and not life as usual. We have not gotten less busy because of the pandemic. Life has changed and I do not think for the better. We may be working from home, but that means we brought parts of our lives that we kept separately right into our bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens. My bedroom is my classroom for nursing school. I write my exams in my children's bedroom, and there is no privacy because I bring the whole world there with our proctors asking to scan the rooms. Privacy went out the window. And now, I feel violated that I have to do my continuing education credits from my house. My employers will pay me, but I considered my home time sacred. Not anymore. How do we adjust, how do we find alone time? How do we survive. Join me in my kitchen today and maybe we can start a conversation as I prepare breakfast and get ready for class.

In light of the circumstances unfolding before us following the murder of George Floyd by a law enforcement officer, I beg you to stop and listen, listen to those you do not wish to hear from. Listen to voices other than your own or those you esteem. There is no escaping our predicaments if we do not learn to listen, so listen to the voice of change...

My dream of losing 40 lbs in four months had been achieved in three months. I had been looking for a coach to help me learn how to lift weights and build muscle. I enjoyed lifting things and naturally, doing this kind of workout would be inspiring and fun to follow. But, I could not find a gym or a place friendly and cheaper enough for me to join. But the dream was still with me, almost six months later.
