Clearly the Minnesota Wild brass sees the desperate need for centers to fill the gap in this organization, and with the first three picks, the Wild took two large centers, and the smaller skilled Riley Heidt. The Wild also made depth moves in free agency, as we still await potential arbitration from the likes of Filip Gustavsson, Brandon Duhaime and Calen Addison.

Here is our annual grandaddy of them all, State Of The Wild 2023! In this episode, we put a bow on the 2022-2023 Minnesota Wild season, getting into all the highlights and lowlights, and finally deciding on the club's annual awards and demerits of the year. We have our "patented" segment 1.5, to talk about the Stanley Cup Finals, and congratulate the Vegas Golden Knights! Segment two is all about the future, be in short-term or long-term, regarding the cap situation, potential trades, the draft, and upcoming free agency! Segment three is the always fun, fan interaction segment, where we hear from the coolest fans in the NHL, and get to hear who you believe deserves the annual awards and demerits!

Marco Rossi has shown positive signs defensively, and his overall game, but the scoring just hasn't happened yet, so some time in the AHL will definitely help him get closer to where he would like to be as an NHLer. Kirill Kaprizov is back to a 106 point pace, which is very encouraging as well. Marcus Foligno blows up and Matt Murray cheats.

Filip Gustavsson stepped up nicely after a rough game in Pittsburgh, keeping powerhouses like Carolina and Winnipeg at bay, giving just one goal in each game. The Wild acquired well known tough guy Ryan Reaves Wednesday afternoon, to add more size, personality and toughness, but at age 35, how much does he have left?

Brave The Wild has finally arrived at THPN! Marc Andre Fleury "The Flower" has gone from a guy who looked like he was cooked as a goalie, to being one of the best in the league once again, and that only has been a huge help for an injury plagued team that has struggled to score. The lack of power play opportunities has been a big issue as well, what is it going to take to get more calls? The Minnesota Wild started the season giving up 20 goals in the first three games of the season, due to defensive breakdowns, turnovers and poor goaltending. Luckily, things have improved somewhat, but the Wild now have a gap to make up.
