Her instagram account-turned-360-lifestyle-brand led her to being named one of the "7 Fittest Couples on Instagram" by Women's Health, and eventually gave birth to her current career on television. But we wanted to know… what is her “special sauce” for growing her business, how has she applied learnings from the corporate world into “influencer life,” and most importantly... how the hell does she maintain ALL THAT energy & passion while balancing six jobs, one husband, two kids, and a pandemic?? Alopecia took center stage, literally, when Will Smith seemingly slapped Chris Rock for cracking a joke about his wife Jada's bald head. The 50-year-old actress had previously been open about her experience with hair loss, even posting a video on Instagram discussing her struggle and decision to shave her head. She wrote, "Mamma's gonna have to take it down to the scalp so nobody thinks she got brain surgery or something. Me and this alopecia are going to be friends...period."

She went on to say in a video, "Now at this point, I can only laugh," running her finger across a bald line patch along the center of her scalp. But you can see it in her eyes: Excessive hair loss is no laughing matter for Jada, nor the nearly 7 million people in the United States who develop the condition annually.

In this special episode, first, we’ll hear from TEDx speaker McKenna Reitz, who like Jada, lost all of her hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes included, due to Alopecia. She'll share her journey before we bring on Dr. Helena Kuhn, MD, an assistant professor of dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, who specializes in hair disorders. She’ll explain common causes of hair loss, when to see a doctor, treatment options, prevention, and more.

LISTEN TO THIS SHOW IF:

  • You had no clue Alopecia was an autoimmune disease that affects nearly 2% of the population—men and women equally—and need the 411 STAT
  • You’re terrified you could develop Alopecia and want to know the risk factors and common causes
  • You've experienced some thinning and shedding of your own and would like practical tips for keeping your hair healthy
  • You’re ready to be inspired by an alopecia warrior who has a knack for reframing life’s challenges into gifts and opportunities

As I'm coming off a sugar-filled summer (lots of wine! all the ice cream!) and feeling like I need a reset, I'll be busting out @michprom book Sugar Free 3 and relistening to this episode. On the show we talk about her revolutionary plan which is based on the latest research and science. It's not a diet. It's not a detox. It's not a cleanse. It’s a genius three-week program to reset your entire approach to food and eating for improved wellness, more energy, sounder sleep, better-looking skin, and healthy weight loss—without counting calories. Who doesn't need that after hot girl summer?!

I've known the fellow Jersey girl for nearly 30 years and she is aging in reverse. If getting "sugar smart" has that Peter Pan effect, sign me up! Michele has spent the last decade at the forefront of the newest research about how sugar and artificial sweeteners affect your mind and body. (She was the award-winning editor-in-chief of Women's Health and Cosmo and now the Editorial-Director-at-Large for @thewell.) What she discovered was that added sweeteners are at the center of every major and minor health crisis, from the ones you'd guess—like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes—to the ones that might surprise you, like acne, bad moods, digestion, and sleep loss. Listen in to explore why sugar makes you gain weight (and get sick), where it’s lurking, and how to live happier and healthier without it.

Ironically for our co-host Jamie - like many - coming out of lockdown and going back into "reality" is proving just as hard as the initial quarantine time, from a mental standpoint! Jamie knows many people can relate, so she chose the OTG interview with ABC News legend, Dan Harris, for the next in our summer "best of" series.

Why? Well, Harris is famous for many things, but perhaps most of all for having a panic attack on live television while co-hosting on Good Morning America several years back... it was then that Dan knew he had to change something in his life. Despite his self-professed “allergy to all things touchy-feely and New Age-y,” he realized he had to open his mind to new options. This realization led him to discover the science-backed secret to feeling 10% happier: MEDITATION.

The lessons he learned led him to create a best-selling book and a podcast (his first guest was the Dalai Lama, no big deal!), all called "10% Happier," and we are grateful to bring his episode back to the surface to help us re-enter the world as happy, healthy, & sane as possible.

One of our first OTG guests way back in Jan of 2020 is one of Christine’s idols, both in fashion and in life!

Norma Kamali is a fearless powerhouse who’s been in the fashion business for 53 years and is the ORIGINAL wellness influencer who sought out alternative wellness methods looong before it was #hashtag. Back in her fashion editor days, Christine worked with Norma featuring her uber-cool style creations in the mags and on TV including the sleeping bag coat, the start of casual sportswear; high heeled sneakers, and swimwear that every woman wanted to rock.

But what Christine most admires is Norma’s ability to reinvent herself with relevance and grace as she ages in this competitive industry. Norma talks with us about the fallacy of the “timeline” and the insane pressure in today’s culture to achieve “everything” by 30.... and what you should focus on instead.

In our new COVID/WFH reality, boundaries are more important than ever. Boundaries, what boundaries…? EXACTLY. Because we ALLLL need help here, we are bringing back the boundary NINJA herself, psychotherapist Terri Cole.

In her new book, “Boundary Boss”, releasing April 20th, Terri teaches a specific set of skills that can help us stop abandoning ourselves for the sake of others (without guilt or drama) and consciously become empowered in every aspect of our emotional, physical, personal, and professional lives. Yes, PLEASE!

Most of us were never taught how to effectively express our preferences, desires, or deal- breakers. Instead, we hide our feelings behind passive-aggressive behavior, deny our own truths, or push our emotions down until we get depressed or so frustrated that we explode, potentially destroying hard-won trust and relationships. In order to avoid all of that unpleasantry, and live our best lives, we need to know: how can we become boundary bosses TOO?!

Over the past year, we’ve all been hit hard with the 24/7 news cycle blaring into our living rooms. We sat with our eyes glued to the TV, terrified we’d miss SOMETHING. But, with everything being deemed “breaking news,” are we really just setting ourselves up for a constant state of anxiety? Are we truly INFORMED or are we all guilty of ambulance chasing with our eyeballs?

We’re joined by Jessica Yellin, former Chief White House Correspondent for CNN - to discuss why she walked away from a powerful news career to forge something entirely new: her platform, “News, Not Noise,” which helps us become conscious news consumers, armed with the ability to discern sensationalism from the things that truly matter to us in our daily lives.

Jessica calls her platform “...an on-ramp for people who aren’t watching the news and a distilling center for people who are watching so much news they are overwhelmed."

We are proud to say that 100% of ticket sale proceeds from this live podcast event went to God’s Love We Deliver, a charity whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition through daily home meal delivery.

As many of you may have seen on Insta, our co-host, Meaghan, is recovering from COVID. Her hubs, 3 kids and 70-year-old mom were all infected with the virus and it was harrrrrrd. The toughest part? While there’s plenty of clear PREVENTATIVE info (wear a mask, wash your hands, socially distance, etc)... she discovered that once they tested positive, they felt CLUELESS. The information about exactly what to do once infected is simply not "out there" and it left Meaghan feeling helpless, terrified & alone, all while "wearing a big Scarlett Letter C." Nervous about her asthma and history of pneumonia, Meaghan remembered our earlier podcast recording with the fabulous Dr. Darria - Yale-trained emergency room physician, Harvard Medical School faculty, and on-air medical expert for CNN, NBC, & Dr. Oz - so she DM'ed her. The result? A clear road map to recovery. We love that Dr. Darria helped our Meags in her darkest hour... that's something you never forget! We’re beyond excited to have the top doc back today to share her smart, actionable advice for coping with COVID.

According to the CDC, 6 in 10 US adults have a chronic disease. 4 in 10 US adults live with two or more. Hard to diagnose, they often "come & go" leaving others wonder if “their condition” is all in their head, a desperately frustrating feeling for those who suffer.

Our guest today, Nitika Chopra, has lived her entire life with chronic illness. She went from feeling isolated and wondering about her purpose, to making it her mission to raise awareness, educate people on, and empower people with chronic illness. She's the founder of "Chronicon," a community focused on those living with a chronic illness, and inspired others through education, advocacy, & a message of empowerment.

Daphne Oz is known for many things (TV personality, best-selling author, chart-topping podcast host), but redefining modern motherhood most of all. As one of television’s most recognizable faces (The Chew, The Dish on Oz, FOX’s MasterChef), it’s hard to believe that Daphne is also a mother of FOUR!!

We chat about maintaining that fragile balance between health, happiness, sanity, & success, including releasing the pressure to make her “self-care” look perfect. What does she do instead? She keeps it simple, crediting a magic mix of the “unconventional'' (making pancakes for lunch!) and “basics” (a solid vitamin regimen). Tune in!

Alli Webb wears many hats... mom, NYT-bestselling author, podcast co-host, and co-founder of mega-category-disruptor DryBar and the innovative Squeeze. She has been named one of the “100 Most Creative People in Business” by Fast Company; featured on Fortune magazine’s “40 Under 40” list; recognized by Inc Magazine as one of the “100 Women Building America’s Most Innovative and Ambitious Businesses,” and she’s even been featured as a guest Shark on ABC’s SharkTank!!

So we HAD to ask her: in this era when women can supposedly “have it all” but are often still afraid to ask for (and fight for!) their worth, how did she - a self-proclaimed former “under-acheiver” - learn how to BUILD AN EMPIRE??!

Today is our second installment of: CO-HOST SPOTLIGHT!! We interviewed our gal Jamie Hess to talk about “loving your hustle,” because truly no one does it better than her! Jamie spent two decades as a high-level Public Relations pro with clients including W Hotels Worldwide, LinkedIn, McDonald’s, Barry’s Bootcamp, and many more.

Over time, she found that her favorite clients were always those in the health + fitness space, and she yearned to pursue that area full-time… and thus, @NYCfitfam was born! We were craving some REAL TALK with Geneva to help us move forward together. No matter where you sit culturally, socially, politically and beyond… EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US should be asking … HOW we can do the hard work to “put this all back together”… and to leave it better than it was before.

It's here y'all.... 2021!!! Ring the bells, the year of insanity is behind us... so does that mean the dark veil will lift and everything will be easy breezy??

With so much uncertainty as we step onto a "fresh palette," most of us just want to know what energetic color we should put on our paintbrush to start decorating the year with good vibes, health, & prosperity! Good thing we've called on the BEST IN THE BIZ to help us look at the year through an astrological lens and make some predictions: THE ASTRO TWINS, aka Opira & Tali Edut.

This adorable power duo (yes, they're identical twins!) are the creators of the "Astrostyle" site & the official astrologers for ELLE magazine, where they bring the stars down to earth with their lifestyle coaching based approach to horoscopes, and we're grateful to have them here today on Off the Gram to help us frame up: WHAT THE HECK CAN WE EXPECT FROM 2021??

Get ready for our new series, where we turn the tables on... everything! Today’s guest is our very own co-host, Christine Bibbo-Herr, aka @NYCpretty!!

At 45 years young, Christine lives a vibrant, colorful, and joy-filled life with her hubby of over a decade, John… so why do so many people ask her if she’s “truly” happy, given the fact that the duo never had kids? Why do we feel so much pressure as a society to only follow one cookie-cutter life path? Why do young women feel like they “should just have kids before time runs out” instead of considering the important question first: “what truly fills my cup?”

Christine shares her take on living life aligned with your most high-vibey, joy-filled, JUMP OUT OF BED EACH MORNING energy. Plus, you won’t want to miss our HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE! We’ve got all the fashion & beauty finds, great deals, and even something for the kiddos…. Tune in!

Today’s guest Leigh Clark is one of life’s magical unicorns who throws kindness around like confetti, but she wasn’t always that way. In 2008 at the age of 29, Leigh lost her job and had to move back in with her parents… and realized she had an opportunity for a “restart.” She started a journey of transformation that included a daily random act of kindness… after paying off one lucky person’s holiday layaway, she was hooked! She realized her purpose and her happiness were directly correlated to kindness.

Her organization Kindleigh was founded on the principle that you get joy by giving joy away. With the world currently twisted up like a pretzel, it’s never been more important to focus on kindness, and we’re delighted to have Leigh on today’s show to help us all refocus on what’s truly important…. and become happier humans ourselves as a byproduct!

Ok, so here we are…. our 40s. We know not all of our listeners are there… but some of you are. And the rest of you will be! So we want to chat about an often taboo topic which shouldn’t be… PERIMENOPAUSE.

First of all, what it is? What’s gonna happen to us? What should we do about it?? And WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS STUFF??? Many women think that “vocalizing” our aging process is somehow embarrassing, that it signals a time when we’re inching towards being less sexy or desirable… when the reality is, 90% of the women we speak to say they’ve never felt sexier than they do in their 40s… so, why does PERIMENOPAUSE give us such PAUSE??

We’re grateful to have Dr. Kameelah Phillips, board certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist and lifelong women’s health advocate to the show to help us make sense of this often misunderstood topic and get a better grasp on what the hell is going on with our ever-changing bods!!

Adulting, man. It’s hard! One day you’re young, wild, and free, the next… no sleep, taxes, and craziest of all, someone actually put you in charge of keeping little humans alive!! It can all be… A LOT. Have you ever caught yourself taking yourself WAY too seriously?? It can be a delicate balance: being a "responsible grownup" while reserving the right to laugh (at yourself!) when you royally screw up, drop the ball, or simply find yourself dripping with vomit, pee or worse(!) from your newborn at 3 in the morning. With social media being filled with picture-perfect parenting, it can be hard for any parent to give themselves a break. Add a global pandemic into the mix... and we just might crack.

Enter our guest Samantha Gutstadt, actor/comedian and creator of “Don’t Call Me Mommy!” to help us find that MUCH NEEDED levity and humor while parenting during a pandemic.

The temperatures are dropping and the air is getting crisp…. And DRY!! This time of year can really do a number on our skin, and we are definitely waving the white flag when it comes to winter skin care. We all want good skin, we all want to look YOUNG (!), and there are so many products on the market right now we’re just OVERWHELMED... it’s so hard to separate the “winners” from the “hocus-pocus.”

We took our questions to the best in the biz to get the inside scoop on it all: we’re joined by Dr. Michelle Henry, one of the leading dermatological experts in the country. In addition to a thriving practice, Dr. Henry is an award-winning research scnientist, Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College and a regular expert commentator in the media, having appeared in InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Essence, Dr. Oz, and beyond.

We’re thrilled to have her on the show with us today to help our skin look healthy & hydrated, gorgeous & glowing… all winter long!

Atkins, Keto, Intermittent Fasting, Wheat Belly, the Zone, South Beach, Paleo, Volumetrics, High Fiber, Raw, Weight Watchers, the list goes on. And on. And ON… Why are fad diets SUCH a thing? And, what makes them different from “diets'' that have stood the test of time like: Mediterannian, veganism, macrobiotic, anti-inflammatory, whole foods, or plant based? When did we as humans become so disconnected from our bodies that we need a book or another person to tell us how to eat? And WHEN did we decide that powders and laboratory created frankenfoods were “better” for us than what grows in the ground?

We are thrilled to have Keri Glassman of Nutritious Life here to separate the fact from fiction, and the goodies from the not-so-goodies!

"Going with your gut" - what does that mean to you? Today's guest, Dylan Lauren, preaches the benefits of "doing what you want in life, because that's what you're going to be good at." Sounds like a simple philosophy, right?? But how many of us wake up each day knowing we're not following our "true passion," but can't figure out how to set forth on a different path?

Dylan is basically #LifeGoals, running her incredible Dylan's Candy Bar, not to mention her charity, Dylan's Candy BarN, which helps animals find their home-sweet-home. She definitely had an amazing role model in her dad, iconic fashion designer, Ralph Lauren, but make no mistake... this self-made mama has always beaten to the sound of her own drum. So let’s talk about following your gut, doing what you love, and perseverance in entrepreneurship. We’ve got a lot to learn from from this ultimate #bossbabe!

In April of 2007, Arianna Huffington woke up in a pool of her own blood. She was two years into building the Huffington Post, all while parenting two teenage daughters as a divorced mother… so basically, juggling ALL the things, like so many of us do. She had been burning the candle at both ends, and literally collapsed, breaking her cheekbone and requiring stitches over her eye. She was diagnosed with a severe case of “burnout” and decided this was not the life she wanted to lead. It was then that she realized the necessity of prioritizing wellness and decided to make that message a part of her life’s work.

How many of us can relate to this, right?? Especially now.

As the pandemic accelerates a mental health crisis that already existed, Arianna joins us tonight to help us identify our own individual signs and stressors. She believes that as a society, we can emerge into a new normal and become much more open about the challenges we’re facing and ways to course-correct.

How does change happen? So many of us know change is required, but don’t quite know the right steps to make it happen. Some make the fatal error of staying quiet in the hopes of not harming anyone: afraid to say or do the wrong thing. Sometimes, we think we are the only person who feels things are wrong, since some things (like sexual harassment and racism) have been grotesquely normalized and accepted as “just a part of life”.

Thankfully, with the courage of the amazing humans who spoke up and continue to speak up as part of the “Me Too” movement, and all of the inspiring souls bringing Black Lives Matter to the surface (and capturing horrific moments on camera), we as a society have finally started uncovering - and have just begun to take steps to remedy - a plethora of wrongs that have gone unrecognized for decades and centuries. So… how do we go from WANTING to speak up and righting wrongs to actually enacting CHANGE?

Here today, we are SO excited to have award winning actress, advocate, and changemaker, Michelle Hurd, here with us to discuss finding the courage to SPEAK UP and MAKE CHANGE.

What is Veganism?! Is it an expensive diet? A trendy way of life for “earthy, healthy” people? Does being vegan mean I have to give away all of my favorite designer handbags and shoes made of leather?! Can I still be a part-time vegan, or vegan-ISH and get some of the benefits? Why does it seem like there’s SO much dislike for this movement? And there’s so many new studies around plant based /whole food diets yielding higher immune systems, but where do vegans get protein? Can they get enough calcium?

Seems there’s still SO many question marks surrounding this topic, but one thing we DO know is that there are SO many health benefits to having a plant based diet. A few MAJOR ones that we hear about: it can significantly reduce heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and certain cancers.

So we are thrilled to welcome Jacque Reid (vegan), Emmy award winner, multi-media maven for NBC, and host of the Vegan Sexy Cool podcast & lifestyle brand which links eating vegan, wellness and social justice. She’s giving us the scoop on what caused her to become a full-fledged vegan, why this lifestyle has become sooo popular for some and how to live a healthier, kinder more fulfilling life, while having a whole lot of fun!

Going back to school is the topic hot on everyone's minds right now… and whether you're a mom or not, everyone seems to have an opinion. On one hand, we hear that we may be damaging our children (both educationally & emotionally) by restricting their socialization. On the other hand, we hear from experts and teachers across the country who say there is no possible way to return to school safely.

We’re joined today by Nicholas Ferroni, a high school history teacher from Union, NJ who has a thing or two to say on the matter… and there’s no one whose opinion we value more. Why? Nicholas has been noted as one of the "100 Making a Difference” and one of the "Most Influential Educators In America;” he was named "Upstander of the Year" by the Human Rights Campaign for his work with LGBTQ youth; he designed a social experiment on the important of gender equality in politics that Whoopi Goldberg called “the best social experiment ever” (no big deal!)... oh and he was named the Sexiest Teacher Alive by People Magazine - CASUAL!!

Nicholas is a walking, talking example of that which he preaches… he is a social activist who educates, mentors and inspires students causing them to not only BE inspired & to INSPIRE OTHERS. We’re grateful he’s here today to inspire us, and shed some light on this sticky topic from his view on the front lines of the conversation.

Off the Gram began covering this story last week when we interviewed whistleblower Emily Gellis along with a former client named Liz, and Lauren Slayton, founder of Foodtrainers and a renowned dietician.

Today, we unpack all that's transpired this week - and pose the question “what now??” - as this story continues to blaze through the wellness community. First, we're joined by Erin Seidl aka @FoodScienceBabe and re-joined by Lauren Slayton of Foodtrainers to discuss the "guar gum" debate (#guargate!!).

Next, we chat with a young woman known as @WellnessAlexis, who found herself an unlikely pawn in this week's "installment" of this scandal. And finally, we get an expert analysis of how this is all being handled from a PR perspective from Stacey Heuser, co-founder of leading PR agency, Narrative. This show's a doozy, friends... buckle up and tune in!

When influencer & entrepreneur Emily Gellis posted a personal opinion about the F-Factor diet program to her 100k+ followers earlier this year, she had no idea the can of worms she’d be opening up… or that she’d ultimately pivot her entire life to that of a crusader. What started as an innocuous social post turned her into a modern day Erin Brokovich… Emily received thousands of messages documenting people’s adverse reactions - both physically & mentally - as a byproduct of the following the diet or consuming the products. So Emily started sharing it all… the good, the bad, and the ugly. The situation snowballed, and when the story landed in the New York Times and then the TODAY show, Emily vowed to see this through to the end for the victims.

Emily shares her story with us on today’s episode, along with two other guests: Liz, a former client of the practice who shares a jarring & heartbreaking story; and Lauren Slayton, founder of Foodtrainers(™) a New York City consultancy dedicated to weight management and sports nutrition. Lauren holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, and she helps us dig a little deeper into the question on everyone’s minds: what the hell is going on here??

Wellness and race. It’s a topic we could cover all day long and still only scratch the surface but we’ll continue to try. Today we’re joined by lifestyle expert, Nicole Young, who makes her living sharing tips, tricks & recipes for healthy living on TV but often times she found the she’d be overlooked for “healthy cooking” segments, or bypassed by brands for clean eating campaigns and she had to ask herself “why?” The result? Nicole uncovered a bias against Women of Color as it pertains to wellness, and has made it a personal crusade to change that narrative.

We keep hearing that we should “eat clean”. But, what does that even mean? If we scrub our cookie boxes and chip bags with soap and water before we eat them, is that clean?! And... Why do we even need to “eat clean”? I thought a little dirt was good for the immune system? And, why is organic food so expensive? Sure, sure, we have all seen the models pictured eating their Sakara salads backstage at fashion shows in all the magazines, but do “real people” actually eat that stuff? Can a SALAD be filling?! Can it even taste good if it’s good for you? While team OTG is lucky enough to know first hand that Sakara makes the most delicious AND nutritious food on the planet, we realize the whole world doesn’t… YET.

So, we are THRILLED to bring the RADIANT gorgeous mama founders, Whitney Tingle and Danielle DuBoise, on the show to enlighten us all as to how and why they founded their clean eating empire, Sakara Life. Tell it to us straight, ladies: WHY should we all be eating clean, and HOW can we learn to play dirty?!

Whitney and Danielle have graciously offered all of our listeners a $50 gift towards your first Sakara Life Organic Meal Delivery, valid for new customers only, through September 24, 2020.

In 2018, Switch4Good - a PSA campaign aimed at informing people about the health risks associated with dairy products - launched with a commercial during the closing ceremony for the Olympics. Unbelievably, the ad was yanked from the air before it reached the West Coast following complaints by the dairy industry. Luckily, they fought their way back to become one of the foremost nonprofits advocating for a healthy plant-based diet, reaching more than 95 million people in just the past six months.

We’re joined by Rachael Adams, Olympic Volleyball player and Switch4Good ambassador, to chat about the initiative and how nixing dairy changed her life… and how she’s inspired other athletes to do the same.

One of the most fascinating byproducts of this crazy time has been the amount of people suddenly pressing “reset” on their entire lives, either by necessity or by happenstance. Maybe you were the family who fled New York City to avoid the virus epicenter, and discovered you have never been happier living in the country. Perhaps you’re the employee being furloughed, and took the time to write that book you’ve had in your head for years. Maybe you’re trying something else new, because…. well, why the heck not?

When the only thing that really matters anymore is our health, professional failings seem less scary in comparison. Many of us realized that things which previously seemed "impossible" - because we were all stuck in the confines of our job guardrails - might not be so impossible after all.

A lot of us have opened their minds to new possibilities. Many people are ready to take that “leap of faith” and do something that perhaps before seemed like it could only be a pipe dream.

Life seems more transient and unpredictable but for many, that’s actually opened up a world of options that never before existed. And since Paula Faris's new book is titled “CALLED OUT: Why I Traded Two Dream Jobs for a Life of True Calling,” we wanted to bring her here to help empower us all to hit the big ‘ole RESET button on our lives during this crazy time.

When our mothers were young, saying the word “period” or talking about vaginal health in public was strictly taboo. Today, women practically insta-story from the bathroom (we’ve all seen it!), and the conversation around feminine wellness has become much more open. So why hasn’t the consumer category caught up?

In 2016, Lo Bosworth was coming off an amazing stint on the hit reality TV show, The Hills, but found herself suffering a personal health crisis that often manifested by affecting her intimate health. When drug store offerings failed her, she set out to discover a holistic approach, which ultimately led to the founding of her company, Love Wellness.

Lo joins us to talk about why it’s so important to modernize the way we approach this space, how stress & environment can affect our health… and why your vagina should never, ever have to settle!

Quarantine eating.... the struggle is real! We’re reading the memes about eating ALL THE SUGAR and gaining “the “Quarantine 15” - this situation is tough enough, so how can we manage our sugar spirals?

YES, it’s great that we’re all becoming WAY more domestic and crafty in the kitchen, BUT it’s getting MUCH harder to stay away from sugar with all the extra baking and snacks surrounding us at home!

Michele’s new book Sugar Free 3 is a revolutionary new plan based on the latest research and science. It's not a diet. It's not a detox. It's not a cleanse. It’s a groundbreaking three-week program to reset your entire approach to food and eating for improved wellness, more energy, sounder sleep, better-looking skin, and healthy weight loss—without counting calories! Michele has spent the last decade at the forefront of the newest research about how sugar and artificial sweeteners affect your mind and body. What she discovered was that added sweeteners are at the center of every major and minor health crisis, from the ones you'd guess—like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes—to the ones that might surprise you, like acne, bad moods, digestion, and sleep loss. We’re about to explore why sugar makes you fat (and sick), where it’s lurking, and how to live happier and healthier without it on today’s show!

Eggs, man. One minute they're for our trendy omelette at Sunday brunch... then the next thing you know, you're supposed to be freezing them. How is it that so many of us today wake up one day and realize, "crap, I'm almost 40 and I was so busy being cool & ambitious that forgot to have kids!" We hear it every day from our friends, and more often than ever, the topic of egg freezing comes up as casual chatter at parties.

With SO MANY new (and amazing!) options out there, it does seem more normalized, approachable, and affordable than ever (boutique egg freezing studios popping up like Starbucks!)... but that doesn't mean it isn't scary.

We all have it... that Dirty Little Secret! That one little thing that we do that is sooooo "NOT wellness." Maybe you love your evening can of diet soda. Maybe you're married to your aluminum containing, non-charcoal boasting drug store deodorant (gasp!). Perhaps you're that girl who puts 10 packets of artificial sweetener in your almond milk latte. Today, we’re going to divulge our DIRTY LITTLE  SECRETS and our guest is going to give us the real deal on HOW BAD ARE THEY??

We're joined by Dr. Roshini Raj, TODAY contributor and founder of TULA probiotic & superfood skincare, to get the real deal on our closet anti-wellness addictions. How bad are they?? We'll find out!
