Your Thunderhole Just Got The Clap
Security specialists claim to have uncovered a flaw in the Thunderbolt connectivity specification that could expose PCs to attack via their USB-C and DisplayPort interfaces. Dubbed 'Thunderclap', the vulnerability enables hackers to exploit the privileged direct-memory access (DMA) provided via the Thunderbolt connection to access the targeted device. It gives them direct and unlimited access to a machine's memory because these ports come with low-level and very privileged direct memory access (DMA), which supplies any malicious peripherals with much more privileges than regular USB devices.
Apex Legends breaking Fortnite … and Anthem?
With the first month officially under it’s belt, it seems EA’s strangely timed offering of Apex Legends may just be paying off. It’s broken the record set previously by Fortnite of the fastest time to hit 50 million players, but what does Apex Legends mean long term for EA? Especially with Anthem now out on shelves.
The Momo Challenge!?!?!?
A YouTube video of Peppa Pig going on a picnic with her family begins like any other episode of the popular kids show. But three minutes into the bright, chipper video, a distorted face with bulging eyes appears and a creepy robotic voice begins speaking. “Slice your leg and you’ll never meet me,” the voice says. “Slice your wrists and your parents will never see me.” Another similarly creepy video depicts a slow zoom-in on the character as it sings “Momo is going to kill you.” Recommended site: The Source For Parents

The Clays is a four piece rock band from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England. They formed sometime in 2013 but the music of the band started well before that. Long-time friends, Adam and Mart began collaborating on songwriting many years ago. Sitting down with acoustic guitars, Adam quickly took up the mantle of lead vocals and lead guitar while Mart supplied backing and rhythm. They worked hard on perfecting the melodies and harmonies before deciding they need to take it to the next level.

Apple And Facebook Are Squaring Off!
Due to Facebook’s misuse of Apples program for internal app distribution via an app that tracks teenage customers for “research”, Apple has shut down Facebooks ability to distribute internal iOS Apps. Now the battle heats up because Apple has been very critical of Facebooks actions since the Cambridge Analytica scandal, and if push comes to shove Apple could simply boot Facebook and all of it’s associated apps(ie. Instagram) off of the iOS platform all together. Not to overlook the fact that Facebook was actively tracking teens for some unspecified research. Not to be outdone, it appears that Google also said “hold my beer” and has been doing almost the same thing as seen in this article from TechCrunch

Epic Battle Rages Between Steam And The Epic Game Store
For the first time a company has been able to really take a swing at knocking Steam off of it’s top spot in the world of PC gaming. Now, with another exclusive title getting yanked from Steam it seems the gloves are finally coming off. Metro Exodus was previously listed for pre-order on Steam. That is until Epic Game Store managed to sign Metro Exodus to an exclusive deal and suddenly forced Steam to pull the game off it’s virtual shelves. Competition is usually a good thing, but is this battle going to leave PC gamers crushed as nothing more than collateral damage in the end?

Scientists Working On Magic Pill That Lets You Eat Anything You Want.
With the laziness of today’s culture on full display, scientists led by Professor Damien Keating(is this a comic book villain name or what?) have been testing a pill that impacts the RCAN1 gene. In tests with rodents it has allowed them to gorge themselves on fatty foods and never gain weight. The reason has to do with how this gene allows that food to be transformed to brown fat instead of white fat, meaning it gets burned up as heat rather than being stored around your midsection. So… we’ll all be skinny versions of the human torch then? Great.
Jason Says The Playstation Classic Is Garbage (And Now You Can Load Your Own Games!)
After being one of the most outspoken proponents of the new classic gaming system from Sony, Jason has now decided that the PSClassic is actually a steaming pile of hot mess, cancelled his order, and purchased 15 new retropies instead!
Captain Marvel Trailer #2 Has Dropped
This last week Marvel Studios dropped the official second trailer for the upcoming Captain Marvel. This received a collective response of the internet losing it’s mind in love with the promise of the March release! How couldn’t we respond that way? We saw Nick Fury baby talking a cat for crying out loud! BUT…
Was Captain Marvel Setup To Fail?
In a recent Forbes article, they make the case that Captain Marvel is being set up to fail. Truthfully they make a valid point. These days the only thing that seems to matter in terms of if a movie is good or bad is the box office numbers. More specifically how they perform in relation to expectations. Just look to Solo : A Star Wars Story for a great example. If it doesn’t meet box office expectations the internet decides the movie sucks, the hate train gets rolling, and an otherwise perfectly enjoyable movie finds itself on the defensive for no reason at all. With many saying Captain Marvel will be the MCU’s next BILLION dollar title will we find the hate train rolling if this film only hits a $600-$700 million box office? Since when does the box office have to be the deciding factor on a movie being good/enjoyable anyways?
TikTok Has A Major Safety Problem For Kids
In yet another case of a super popular app with kids, it seems that the popular TikTok app is a dangerous place due to a large segment of the app that is nothing but hub for perverts trying to solicit nude images from underage kids. Stay vigilant parents.

Another Massive Data Breach Potentially Impacting 500 Million People
This time is massive hotel chain Marriott suffering a massive data breach putting up to 500 million of their customers data at risk. They don’t seem positive yet what data was targeted but it appears to include everything from mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, passport numbers and yes, even credit card numbers. Seems this was all caused by a merger of computer systems and subsequent glitches between Marriott and Starwood, whom Marriott purchased in 2016. Um, glitches. I’d say.
Daredevil Is The Latest Hero To Fall At Netflix
Joining the ranks of Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders, Daredevil has fallen to the mighty Netflix after an acclaimed third season. Will there be more for these heroes in the larger MCU, the new Disney + streaming service, or Hulu, or is this simply the end of the road? All that is left standing are Jessica Jones and The Punisher… but for how long?
Chris Evans’ "Captain America" Is Finished ... Maybe
We’ve all heard the news last October when Chris Evans posted a “farewell” to fans as his filming wrapped on the as of yet untitled Avengers 5. Seemed like this was it, for real this time. Not like the other times he said goodbye until he re-negotiated his contract. This time it was for real. Most fans expected he’ll go out in historic and heroic fashion in the ultimate sacrifice to save the world from Thanos. But pump the dang brakes here… Joe Russo, Director of Avengers 5, has now hinted that Chris Evans may not be hanging up the shield after all… Meanwhile, Avengers fans starving for news, even the tiniest tidbits of information, lose their collective minds on the internet.
Tom Hanks to Star In The Next Live Action Disney Film - Pinocchio
Looks like the man who once played Mr. Walt Disney himself is set to become a father to a wooden puppet with a major problem telling the truth. A great actor indeed, but do we really need MORE of these live action remakes? Is it just Disney’s way of updating the graphics so to speak with their classic films?
