On our 11th Conversation, we talked about what it means to be a part of the LGBTQ+ Community.

Yas and our Special Guests shared their own experiences - of how they found out what their sexual orientation is, the difficulties they faced regarding their families, friends and relationships, and their stories of coming out.

On our 10th conversation, we talked about something real and quite scary to say out loud : Toxic Filipino Traits!!!!

We are sorry po sa mga natatamaan…🤭

But we should face the truth that we are flawed and we, as Filipinos, are known to having these traits as a normal part of our culture. It feels bad to be associated with these traits that is why we need to try our hardest to stay away from this narrative.

LET US BE PROUD OF BEING FILIPINOS BUT OF THE RIGHT REASONS.

We know cannot control what you think or what you do. We are not perfect and we admit to have these traits as well, of course - we are Filipinos. But we opened this conversations to share our perspectives and share our different points of view so you can either judge us or just be aware of how these traits affect others.

We encourage you to be the start of change, to educate everyone else and the future generations of Filipinos to not have these traits. Or if you really enjoy these traits - we wont judge you - Do whatever you want but not be toxic!!!🤭

On our fifth lockdown conversation via Zoom, we talked about our experiences in our First and Last visit to the Philippines since settling in the UK. As we are all expecting each visit to be enjoyable because we’re coming back to our first home, we soon found out that not all reasons for coming home is for pleasure.

“ What did you feel going back to your first home ? ”

This video has gone longer than expected which is why we have 2 parts:

Part 1 is about our first visit Part 2 is about our last visit

On our 9th conversation, we talked about another relationship topic that focused more on being in an Adult Relationship. We discussed the differences in being in an ‘immature’ relationship vs a mature relationship. We also talk about how we -personally- manage our own relationships or past relationships and our advice to you in what we think would help build a mature relationship and what we think is the most important part in being in a relationship.

We all hope you can relate to us and take in what we have shared & discuss and hopefully learn from it too.

“How can you differ the ‘love’ you experienced when you were young vs now that you are an adult?”

On our 8th Conversation, we did a game of Who’s More Likely! The rules of the game is the one who is voted the most Who’s More Likely will lose and will face consequences. PS watch until the end to find out the consequence!

We wanted to have a lighter topic to contrast our last conversation (Pagusapan natin : Racism) and to spread awareness that even in the midst of everything that has happened, it is important to take a break and find ways to self care by seeking joy in simple things. For we cannot fight when we are still broken down.

On our seventh conversation, we talked about one of the hardest topics to talk about - which is racism. Due to the current events that is happening globally - the Black Lives Matter movement, we decided to have this conversation to educate ourselves, spread awareness and to share it as a video and podcast to be able to set an example to start up conversations especially as Filipinos.

Being Asian, it is culturally taboo to talk about these topics, but we want to acknowledge the injustice that is plagueing the Black population in America as well as our own experiences and opinions about racism.

We encourage you all to start conversations like this to your friends, families, colleagues and many more, to normalise this kind of talks. Please have an open mind and the willingness to understand, even if it may be difficult.

On our third lockdown conversation, we talked about the lockdown situation here in UK and comparing it with what we know about the lockdown in Philippines.

“What kept you busy during lockdown?”

P.S. We are aware of how sensitive this topic may be and we respect that we are all in different situations and may have been suffering in various ways during the lockdown or because of the health threat (Covid-19) in general. These are our opinions as friends having a conversation and we hope no one will treat this negatively.

We hope that we can all survive and adapt to the new way of living that this threat has brought us. We hope all the best for our safety during this uncertain time.

A few controversial questions pop up that we find incredibly hard to answer.

We definitely went deep with this one and there is more to come!
