Our vision is to help families find freedom in Christ, in all areas of life! Each week, we bring the Gospel to current events, cultural hot topics and our homes. We talk with authors, speakers, pastors, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, professors and more. “Liberty is not the power of doing what we like, but the right of being able to do what we ought.” Lord Acton
Returning guest, Abbie Halberstadt, sits down with E.J. to talk about all things Biblical motherhood. Abbie's first book, M is for Mama, laid the foundation for the book that has been on her heart and soul for many years. That book, Hard Is Not the Same Thing as Bad, is what every mama needs as they desire to see their children not as burdens (culture) but as blessings from the Lord. Is it easy to mother well? No. But, is it worth the effort? 1000x yes!! And, the best part is, we can do it together! Watch this 1-minute intro video for the book - it's SO GOOD

“Why me, Lord?”
Amid the toddler tantrums, the mealtime melees, and the backseat blowups, have you found yourself asking God that same question? Maybe even screaming it into a couch pillow? You’re not alone.
Your most trying moments as a parent can quickly spiral into discouragement, hopelessness, and sometimes even resentment toward God or your family—partly because our culture has conditioned us to believe that anything this hard can’t possibly be good for us.
Abbie Halberstadt, author of the bestselling M is for Mama, shares scriptural wisdom and lessons learned from her own challenges as a mama of ten to help shift your perspective on the hardships of parenting and of life, in general.
When you begin to see struggles as a necessary part of God’s plan for your spiritual growth, you can discover supernatural peace and purpose, even when you’re down in the deepest trenches of parenthood.
It's time to get healthy - for the whole family! If you want to feel encouraged, empowered and equipped to start leading your family from a place of good health, you're in for a real treat today! Chris and Justine talk with E.J. about so many important things that apply to all families.
Here are just a handful of topics they touch:
-Having four boys (both of their families do)
-What to say when strangers say, "You've really got your hands full!" & "Are you going to keep trying for a girl??"
-Family rhythms with so many littles
-How many hours of sleep we should get and why that's where all good health starts
-Some tech habits you need to adopt but probably have never heard before
-How to start exercising when you feel exhausted and have no time
-How Justine went from using the microwave almost every day (a few years ago) to not ever using it now (and how E.J.'s family is learning how to be microwave-free!)

This week on the podcast, E.J. talks with Jon Noyes from Stand to Reason. They have a conversation about many of the issues that youth and families are facing in today's culture. They discuss how we should be approaching hard topics with our kids (and other kids in our lives), what we should do if we don't know the answer and what kind of things we should be bringing up to our kids even before they ask - and how! This is absolutely an episode you don't want to miss!

Most of us know that God can do anything. But did you know that God could change thousands of lives through...... cheese balls?! Today on the show, we welcome Molly Sanborn - aka The Cheese Ball Chick. She is a passionate, spunky wife and mom of two. She has been speaking to young people for 20 years! Tune in to hear how God used cheese balls to start conversations in an airport back in 2008. And since then has taken Molly all over the country (and outside of it) plus moved Molly to write a book for His glory.....using cheese balls! So fun!

So what do you do with all that Halloween candy anyway? Listen in as Maree and E.J. talk about another issue that seems ubiquitous: junk food. Notably, they discuss how a weekly, cyclical rhythm -- extending from and anticipating toward the Sabbath -- is the key.
How can we be intentional about junk food? If you don't have a plan, it's easy to get caught up in all the sweets and treats. Someone brings donuts to work Monday morning, you brought cake leftover from church to go with your lunch and then there are cookies at Trail Life that night. All of a sudden, you're having 3 desserts a day! And your body can feel it; you're tired, impatient and craving more junk. We do not need to live in bondage to junk food. There is freedom in Christ! We want to take good care of our bodies in order to work hard, play hard, love and serve others and to go on adventures. To live in the freedom that Christ gives to us, we have to use the Spirit's gifts of self-control, discernment and faithfulness. We want to do this as a family and train our children in good habits and rhythms that will last generations!
Our bodies are instruments of righteousness. - Matthew Henry's Commentary on Paul's letter to the church in Corinth
Your body is not your own. You have been bought with a price. -Paul's Letter

In Paul's letter to Galatians, he reminds the believers that "it is for freedom that Christ has set us free." What was true for believers then is true for believers now: Christ's perfect sacrifice has freed us from the bondage of the law and of our disobedience of the law. However, part of the law's purpose was and is to show us our shortcomings. The law makes clear our sinfulness. We cannot live up to the standard the law demands. So God, incarnate, did for us. Now we are called to live in the freedom the Gospel provides! Yet, so many believers are living in bondage - whether by actively choosing or by apathetically being pulled by the waves. For our first Let's Talk episodes, Maree and E.J. talk about one of the things many people are living chained to: screen time. Adults, moms & dads, toddles, teenagers - it is the norm!
The average adult watches 140 hours of TV per month. That's about 4.5 hours/day. If we are working 8 hours a day, in the car for 1.5 hours a day, watching 4.5 hours of TV and sleeping for 8 hours (and we're not even considering time staring at your little pocket screen!) -- how much time is left for what really matters? And what kind of habits are we forming for our kids? As believers, we need to be intentional about our choices and steward our time well. Let's talk: Screen Time.

We all know what schools are teaching in "Sex Ed" that they shouldn't be. What about the things we weren't taught, whether by school or from our parents, that we really should have? Well, that's what we're covering today! Grace Emily Stark is back with us to teach us about women's bodies. What really is a period, anyway?
E.J. and Grace Emily cover the normal functions and rhythms of women's bodies, why they are against all hormonal birth control and pro-natural family planning, why NFP is as or more effective than other birth control methods, the empowerment of knowing your body better and how all of this affects marriages and families. You even get a few special nuggets such as breastfeeding, co-sleeping and when periods return postpartum.

Alisa gives us some great wisdom for how to navigate our culture and advice to parents for how to help our kids stay on the Lord's path in this crazy world. Wendy Vinge is a Minnesota mom of 3. Her first two kids went to public school all the way through. But she knew she wanted something different for her youngest daughter. She really didn't know anyone who homeschooled and she had no idea how it would go, but now she's a half decade in and they are LOVING it. Wendy and E.J. talk about what led their family to homeschool, the Classical Conversations curriculum they use, the CC community they're a part of and how the educational freedom that homeschooling provides has changed/shaped the culture of their home - notably their mother-daughter relationship.

We welcome Sheila back to the show and welcome her husband, Keith, for his first time on Freedom Families. Sheila and Keith are passionately dedicated to helping Christian husbands and wives, as well as the church as a whole, develop a healthy, Biblical sexual ethic. We talk through some of the harmful messages put forth by certain Christian authors, speakers and pastors. We discuss some sex-related beliefs and messages that many assume are from scripture but, in fact, are not found in the Bible. We also talk about healthy and Biblical sexual (and personhood) messages that all Christian should be learning and living. So helpful!
We also talk about their new books - out now! See below for order links and more info.
Dr. Keith Gregoire is a pediatrician who knows how much healthy marriages contribute to children's well-being and who is passionate about both building great marriages and equipping couples to parent well. He and Sheila have spoken at more than seventy FamilyLife Canada marriage conferences and headlined their own signature marriage event all over the United States. He’s also an avid birdwatcher who loves traveling with Sheila in the RV to chase after hawks.
Are you wondering if there's more to your sex life than the status quo? Or maybe you have questions about your upcoming marriage that aren't exactly appropriate for the rehearsal dinner? This edition of The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex from tell-it-like-it-is blogger and speaker Sheila Wray Gregoire has been completely updated and expanded to include new research from surveys of more than twenty-five thousand people. With humor, stories, and highly practical ideas, Sheila helps you:

Following the SCOTUS draft leak (Alito opinion; 6-3 vote in favor of the Mississippi law in Dobbs case, 5-4 to overrule Roe v. Wade), you've been hearing and seeing an abundance of false claims, euphemisms, scare tactics, logical fallacies and straight up lies regarding abortion, pro-lifers and Roe v. Wade. E.J. has spent her last two days making notes of what she's been seeing and hearing. She takes the time to walk through her notes and bring the truth to each point. We, at Freedom Families, want to make sure you not only feel confident in your pro-life conviction, but that you also feel prepared and empowered to speak life. Do not stay silent. The preborn need you!
If Roe v. Wade is overturned, it does NOT outlaw abortion. All that happens is the decision goes back to the states, to the voters. This is how it was before 1973. Some states will allow (and already do) abortion for any reason, any time and paid for by you (the taxpayer). Other states will allow abortion under some circumstances. While other states will outlaw all abortion.
"Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives."
This episode is long and was not strategically planned out like our interview episodes. E.J. simply walks through the notes and screenshots she has complied. We think it is helpful, but also encourage you to listen to these past episodes:

You’re in a conversation and the topic of surrogacy comes up. A friend tells you they’re considering IVF and seeks your counsel. A fellow prolifer excitedly tells you about artificial wombs, saying they are the answer to abortion. Do you know what to say? Do you know what you believe about these reproductive technologies? Are they ethical, moral? For most people, even Christians, the answers are “no” & “I don’t know.” And if you haven’t found yourself in one of the above conversations or something like it, you will soon. The commodification of children is a current reality we all need to stand against. We hope this episode enlightens you, equips you and empowers you. These are tough topics and we know toes will be stepped on. We seek what is true, right and good. Our goal is to see all things from a Biblical worldview.
Perhaps you believe these technologies are moral. If you do, we challenge you to listen to this episode, read the below articles and go through the book, Them Before Us. See things from a children’s rights > adult desires perspective.

This week's episode was recorded about a month ago. It is being published this Easter week because it ties in the whole of scripture, is the foundation of the Christian worldview and illustrates Jesus' mindset during His entire time on Earth - most notably, His last few days leading to Golgotha. We also talk quite a bit about the importance of being in the body of Christ, in Christian community.
Wesley Gabel has been a pastor for over 4 decades and believes he just finished one of the most important sermon series he's ever led. He is in his last few months of pastoral ministry before God calls Him to share the Gospel in a different way - in "retirement". (If you're wondering why the quotations, check out our episode on retirement, linked below.) This is a great episode to listen to any time of year, but we hope it especially blesses you this Holy Week of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, start of Passover and Resurrection Sunday.
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
Episode on retirement - it's not what you think!

Never read a Bible verse....... out of context! We are delighted to have Alan Shlemon on the show today to talk about hermeneutics. Or, in other words, how to read and interpret the Bible. Alan speaks and writes on many different topics, but says hermeneutics is his favorite. Alan does an excellent job breaking this down for us - you do not need an MDiv to track with Alan. All Christians, of all ages, need to learn how to read and interpret the Bible properly. We go through 3 interpretive principles to help you do so; context, history and genre. We also talk about what can happen when we are not using these principles as we read the scriptures. A great discussion you don't want to miss! Check out Alan's STR U course in the links below.
Alan Shlemon has worked as an author and speaker for Stand to Reason since 2004. He trains Christians to share their convictions in a persuasive, yet gracious manner. Alan teaches about some of the most controversial issues of our time: abortion, evolution, homosexuality, bioethics, and Islam. He has been a guest on both radio and television, and has spoken to thousands of adults and students across the country at churches, conferences, and college campuses.
Alan’s training incorporates three components. First, he equips people with the knowledge to form a foundation of belief. Second, he teaches them to communicate their knowledge persuasively and clearly. Finally, he shows them how to communicate in a warm, friendly, and gracious manner. Alan makes complex issues accessible to both youth and adult audiences.

Super excited for you all to listen in on my conversation with Abbie Halberstadt. Abbie is a Bible-believing mother of 10 kiddos! Abbie and her husband, Shaun, did not come from big families. How did they come to have an open-handed approach to childbearing? What does scripture tell us about being a mom? How did Abbie have time to write a book? How many refrigerators do Abbie and Shaun have? How do they prioritize their marriage when they have 10 kids? Do they get ANY sleep? How do they train their children? Such a fun conversation!

Today you get to hear from one of E.J.'s favorite podcast hosts, Steven Manuel. E.J. and Steven talk about what a Biblical family looks like. They discuss why Jewish families stick together and find success no matter where they are globally despite being the most perpetually persecuted group of people in history. They juxtapose living the "American Dream" versus living Biblically as a multi-generational family team. Finally, you get to learn what everyone is wondering - WHY ABRAHAM??
Abe's Wallet is for family leaders and those who aspire to think multigenerationally about their money, culture, work, family and community. Living out a multigenerational mindset that embraces good stewardship as a building block of God’s Kingdom on Earth might produce Abrahamic levels of impact. Can you imagine?!
From Abe's Wallet -
"Now then: our Bottom Line and operating belief is that the God Of All wants you to get very very VERY good at handling and growing money. (And if you want to fight about it, that is totally cool and you’ll soon see we’ve given you ample opportunity with gobs of posts you can complain about.) Jesus spoke about money more than any other single topic. Maybe that’s old news to you, but did you know that when he talks finances – Jesus VERY RARELY mentions giving to the poor? Didja?? Probably not; this isn’t the kind of thing often hyped in the dependent-upon-charitable-contributions church house. My Southern Baptist upbringing would have me believe that the Bible’s counsel on money is mostly about giving it away. But NAY, friend. Tisn’t the case." We have two main purposes with this episode:
1. Encourage, empower, bless and connect Christian single parents.
If you are a single parent, we see you. We are thinking of you. We are praying for you. We know that life can be really, really hard. We want this episode to be a lifeline for you. Michelle and PlusONE Parents want to connect with you. More than anything, we want you to know that Christ is your Savior, your Prince of Peace, your Bread of Life and your Good Shepherd. We want you to know, as a Believer, the Holy Spirit lives inside you and He is your Comforter, your Counselor and your Advocate. God made you, He knows you, He sees you and He cares for you.
2. Awaken and help equip the church (Christian brother or sister, that's YOU!) to serve, bless and love the single parents around us. We need to do a better job! We hope this episode is convicting and motivating. We pray that you would think of the single parents in your life and send them this episode. Let them know you're thinking about them and care for them. Better yet, use some of the practical tools given in this episode to bless a single parent in your church, family or community.

In this much anticipated episode, we bring in one of the very best to discuss..... After 49 years, is Roe v. Wade going to finally be overturned? Dr. Marc Newman trains pro-lifers in speech and debate. Scott Klusendorf says he is the #1 guy. He's tough and he's very, very good.
Tune in to hear Marc and E.J. talk about the history behind Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton ("sister" case of Roe, handed down on the same day as Roe, January 22, 1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992). They talk about the justices back then and the justices now. How should pro-lifers feel after oral arguments and before the court releases its opinion in June? What happens if Roe v. Wade is overturned? What if it's not? What can pro-lifers do locally to fight for the unborn? I know many of you have been eagerly awaiting this episode and we are grateful to Dr. Newman for taking the time to break things down with us!
Stick around after the discussion to hear some audio clips from the Dobbs oral arguments.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the year, I want to shift a little more of our focus to education. It is a huge topic that so many of you are wondering about and trying to figure out. I am there with you. For this first education-oriented episode of 2022, I went to someone I know and trust - Deb Fillman. I have been a part of Deb's locals community for over a year now and have learned so much from her. She is a mom, homeschooler, ex-teacher (master's in ed) and a self-described individualist. We cover much ground in this first episode and plan to have her on, again, to continue the conversation. Enjoy!

When I was in high school and early into college, I had no idea that apologetics and the Christian Worldview were a thing. It wasn't on my radar; I had never been around anyone who talked like that or thought that way (to my knowledge). At some point, I will need to figure out how it all started for me. For now, I know that once I started reading and listening, I couldn't get enough. One of the first things I did, and most helpful things, was listening to the Colson Center's daily 5-minute Breakpoint podcast (there is a longer podcast called, Breakpoint: This Week). This is hosted by Colson Center president, John Stonestreet. Back in 2020, the Colson Center announced a new podcast adventure that would be co-hosted by John's wife, Sarah. Sarah and her co-host Erin Kunkle (whom we've had on) are now at 100 episodes for their podcast, Strong Women. It is a truly wonderful podcast with incredible guests. Virtually every episode is a life-changing story. Tune in to hear my conversation with Sarah about raising strong women.... and much more!

You all know I LOVE books. We've talked about books to read for ourselves, but now it's time to tackle book discernment for/with our kids. I have called on expert, Anne Pasma, to help walk us through the world of children's and young adult literature. Anne can't remember a time when her parents weren't reading books aloud to her and her siblings. Her love for books goes back as far as she can remember. After spending 8 years as a librarian, she is now in a brand-new adventure that you can be a part of. Tune in to hear about it!
Should we let our kids pick out any book they want at the library?
All the board books and young readers are fine, aren't they?
Are the graphic novel reboots the same stories as the originals?
What makes a book good?
Is it OK for my kid to read the popular books all the other kids at school are reading?
My elementary or middle school child loves reading chapter books. How do I know which ones are appropriate? Better yet, how do I find chapter books that teach what is good, right and true? Are there books for their age that have a Christian worldview?
I need help finding edifying books my kid will love!!

The way we think about retirement in America is not only NOT Biblical, but it also doesn't work very well. Often, it doesn't lead to the happiness and fulfillment we think it will. Plus, if we are only thinking and planning about the financial part of retirement (typical), we're filling a bucket with a big hole in it. Tune in to hear my conversation with Jerrid Sebesta. We discuss vision, mission and purpose. We are talking the long game, here. This isn't an episode just for those who are retired or about to retire. For our listeners who are intentional about thinking multi-generationally, for those who want to pursue a Biblical life and legacy, for those who understand the choices you make now will impact not only your children but your children's children... and their children, too! - you will love this episode. We talk about the cultural shifts the West has made in terms of how we view and treat our elders. We look at some of the pitfalls of retiring without a purposeful plan curated to who/how God has made you. Instead of retirement equating to irrelevance and boredom, retirement can be the most purposeful, impactful and empowering season of your life!

Before arriving at Taatjes Financial Group, Jerrid was a TV meteorologist. He started his TV career in 2002 at the NBC affiliate in Sioux Falls, SD. Over the next 12 years, he eventually landed at KARE11 in the Twin Cities. In 2014, after much contemplation and prayer, Jerrid left his TV career. It was a move that came as a surprise to many people, including some of his family. But, it was apparent to Jerrid that he was being called in an entirely different direction.
With a tentative plan to head back to where it all started in Sioux Falls, Jerrid instead found himself unemployed with few job prospects out west. At the time, his soon-to-be future boss, Ben Taatjes was searching for the right person to help market his business, motivate people with their lives and finances, and inspire people to live for "True Wealth". Following a hunch after hearing Jerrid speak the year prior, Ben decided to give him a call.
Jerrid started at Taatjes Financial Group in November of 2014 running the marketing efforts for the company. However, his position and duties has continued to grow steadily over the years. Most recently, he was promoted to Director of Business Development in November of 2020.
Jerrid continues to utilize his broadcasting background through public speaking, radio and podcasting. He has keynoted over 150 events to audiences ranging from teachers to farmers to corporate executives. Sebesta hosts a weekly radio show called True Wealth Radio on KWLM. Jerrid has also hosted a number of podcasts, most recently, Retire Repurposed alongside Ben Taatjes.
Sebesta believes in the importance of being debt-free and living within your means. Shortly after getting married in 2007, Jerrid stumbled upon Dave Ramsey’s book, The Total Money Makeover. Overnight, a passion for personal finances developed and changed the course of his new families’ life. Since arriving at Taatjes Financial Group in 2014, Jerrid has inspired thousands of people to begin their own debt-free journey through financial coaching and hosting JUMP-START | IGNITE YOUR DEBT-FREE JOURNEY events.

Unless you have a pastor in your family or are good friends with a pastor's family, you probably don't know very much when it comes to what a pastor does outside of a Sunday morning. Today, we are joined by my father-in-law, Pastor Pete! Pete became a pastor later in life, after starting a family and working other jobs. I ask him about that journey, including living at Bethel Seminary with his wife, Paulette, and their two young kids (including my husband!) We talk about why that ended up being such a beneficial precursor to vocational ministry. We also discuss the lesser-known aspects of being a pastor, small vs. big churches, engaging with partitioners in their environments and creating opportunities to truly get to know one's church family.
I greatly enjoyed this conversation and hope you feel the same way as you listen in!

Luke 2 (ESV) The Birth of Jesus Christ
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and the Angels
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

Whether you're a parent (or future parent), grandparent, work in children's or youth ministry, a teacher or have kids in your life some other way, this is an incredibly important episode. From the earliest of ages, we need to be training our kids how to think well. Objective claim vs. subjective claim. Spot the lie in commercials or media. Learn how to think critically, logically and reasonably. Teach them how to structure good arguments and recognize faulty arguments (assertions, misdirection, fallacies, arguments that don't follow the premises, etc). Compare and contrast different worldviews, recognize worldviews and understand which worldview certain ideas, beliefs and values come from. This is not a fun extra to teach your kids. This is FOUNDATIONAL.
Elizabeth was teaching in a good Christian school. She was teaching kids from Christian homes and who were active in church. Yet, she noticed that they still thought much more like culture than they did like Christ. Elizabeth began searching for curricular materials that would equip her students to think critically, helping them discover that Christianity is the worldview that lines up with reality. After not finding any materials that met this need, she began creating a curriculum for her students. Elizabeth first taught Foundation Comparative Worldview Curriculum as an after-school class for third through fifth graders, and the results were incredible! Students were transformed from passive recipients of information to active evaluators of every message they receive. Parents and teachers alike noticed the impact these materials had on students’ media consumption, academic achievement, and everyday habits. This transformation lasted beyond the elementary years and guided students’ thinking in junior high and beyond.
Elizabeth now works full-time on developing comparative worldview and apologetics resources for children. Her goal is to prepare the next generation to be lifelong critical thinkers and, most importantly, lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American listeners! We are now officially in the thick of the holiday season. We are thinking about decorations, get-togethers and Christmas music. We are thinking about all the things we're grateful for over the past year. Many of us are also thinking about our health. We want to make the most out of the holidays and we can only do that if our bodies feel GOOD. As Christians, we want to take care of our bodies out of our gratitude and reverence for God. We also want to take care of our bodies so we can live adventurously and actively for many decades to come.
One of the best things you can do for your body (and your kids') is regular chiropractic visits. How well we take care of our spines determines how well our bodies work and feel - our entire bodies! Today on the show, we are talking about sex! We talk about what scripture says about sex. We talk about some harmful (and not Biblical) messages that have been commonly taught in churches and by Christian authors. We talk about the hope and encouragement you can have in Christ - as well as practical resources. Our guest is Sheila Gregoire.
Sheila Wray Gregoire is passionate about changing the evangelical conversation about sex! A popular speaker, marriage blogger, podcaster and award-winning author of several books, including The Good Girl’s Guide to Great Sex and The Great Sex Rescue. She wants to challenge Christians to go beyond pat answers on marriage to reach real intimacy. Sheila believes in authenticity, and gives real solutions to the very real and messy problems women, and couples, can face. She and her husband Keith spend a lot of their time touring North America in an RV, speaking at marriage conferences, hiking, and birdwatching. Would we know anything about Jesus of Nazareth if we didn't have the New Testament? Did Jesus have much of an impact on the world outside of what we read in the NT? Did He have an impact on music, science, architecture or education? This is a captivating, historical account of the impact Jesus of Nazareth had on virtually EVERYTHING. J. Warner Wallace is back with us today and you do not want to miss it. Whether you're a skeptic or have been a believer for decades, this is FASCINATING. Certainly, as Christ-followers, we should know well His impact. Jesus of Nazareth is the most significant person of interest in the history of the world..... by far.
J. WARNER WALLACE is a Dateline-featured cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker, and bestselling author. His is a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, and Adjunct Professor of Apologetics at Talbot School of Theology (Biola University). Relying on over two decades of investigative experience, Wallace provides the tools needed to investigate the claims of Christianity and make a convincing case for the truth of the Christian worldview.
Person of Interest – J. Warner Wallace (personofinterestbook.com)
Reality Apologetics: Minnesota
Person of Interest
Detective J. Warner Wallace listened to a pastor talk about Jesus and wondered why anyone would think Jesus was a person of interest. Wallace was skeptical of the Bible, but he’d investigated several no-body homicide cases in which there was no crime scene, no physical evidence, and no victim’s body. Could the historical life and actions of Jesus be investigated in the same way? In Person of Interest, Wallace describes his own personal investigative journey from atheism to Christianity as he carefully considers the evidence. Creative, compelling, and fully illustrated, Person of Interest will strengthen the faith of believers while engaging those who are skeptical and distrusting of the New Testament. (Purchase HERE)

Black lives matter! Of course. All humans are made in the imago dei. But, what about Black Lives Matter, the organization? What do they stand for and how should we think about BLM from a Christian worldview? How do we talk with our kids about BLM, racial issues and CRT?
Our guest today does a great job of walking us through how we should be thinking about these issues and then how to talk with our kids about them. Monique will be speaking at Stand to Reason's youth apologetics conference in Eden Prairie, MN next week. She will also be leading a breakout session. Check out the schedule here: Reality Apologetics: Minnesota
Monique Duson is the co-founder and president for the Center for Biblical Unity. She has a background in children's ministry, global mission work, and social service. She has worked with a diverse array of under-served communities. She was also a missionary in South Africa for 4 1/2 years. Monique spent 2 decades as an advocate for Critical Race Theory, but now works on developing unity in the Body of Christ based on a more biblical framework.
Center for Biblical Unity
In a culture polarized by race, and where conversations about race often lead to division, strife, and blame, the Center For Biblical Unity exists to lead respectful and Bible-centered conversations on race, unity, and justice.
We believe that the solution to these issues must start with Scripture. We begin with defining terms according to Scripture, not culture. Terms like “woke,” “white fragility,” or “whiteness” have no place within the Body of Christ and only cause hurt and increased distrust among believers.
Our aim is to use Scripture to define terms like humanity, race, love, and justice. We also want to bring practical tools for clergy and lay people to walk out the ideals of racial unity and biblical justice.
A warm welcome to everyone. Thank you for tuning in! Today's guest is Brett Kunkle. Brett has been working with youth and young adults for twenty-SOMETHING years (possibly 21, possibly 29...)! 4 years ago, he and his wife founded Maven. Maven's got my heart because they have the apologetics & Christian worldview focus we so often talk about on this show, but they also have the youth aspect which is near to my heart. Brett is in a super busy season, leading Immersion Experiences, teaching, speaking, leading, traveling (in addition to being husband and dad, of course) - but he took time to be with us. We were so grateful to have him and for this important conversation. Learn, grow, enjoy! Go, Braves!
MAVEN is youth-focused. We are passionate about young people. Youth. Students. Junior highers. High schoolers. College students. The next generation. Because of our love for youth, we are also passionate about the people who disciple the next generation. Parents. Grandparents. Pastors. Youth leaders. Organizational leaders. Educators. We want to come alongside them to partner, guide, encourage, teach, train and equip them to raise up the next generation for the cause of Christ.
Maven Truth
“Truth + Goodness + Beauty. Maven exists to help the next generation know truth, pursue goodness and create beauty, all for the cause of Christ.”

As promised, here is our Mama Bear Apologetics: Guide to Sexuality episode! I pray it blesses your weekend!
RAISE THEM TO VALUE GOD’S DESIGN
"Starting at a young age, kids are being fed damaging misinformation about sexuality, gender identity, and human biology. As a parent, it’s up to you to help your children understand God’s truth about these integral concepts in the face of the candy-coated lies that saturate today’s world.
As society continues to blur the lines of what is good, true, and acceptable, God’s standards remain clear and unchanging. This book will give you the wisdom to confidently raise your children to understand sex and gender through a biblical lens."
Mama Bear Apologetics, the Guide to Sexuality - Mama Bear Apologetics
Hillary Morgan Ferrer, founder of Mama Bear Apologetics, has a burden for providing accessible apologetics resources for busy moms. She has a master’s in biology, and her specialties are scientific apologetics, dealing with doubt, and identifying causes and solutions for youth leaving the church.
Amy Davison is a former Air Force veteran-turned-writer and podcast cohost for Mama Bear Apologetics. She received her MA in Christian apologetics from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and loves helping parents raise their children to be warriors in the faith. She specializes in biblical sexuality, how to incorporate apologetics into parenting, and cultural challenges to the faith.

This is a republish of our episode from last spring with Jim Wallace. We will have a new episode (with Mama Bear Apologetics) up this weekend - throwing a curveball at y'all! (Let's not talk about the last two Red Sox games........)
This episode covers Jim's incredible, best-selling, life-changing apologetics book, Cold Case Christianity. He will be back on our show in just a few weeks to talk about his brand new book, Person of Interest. Jim is coming to Minnesota for a youth apologetics conference around the same time. Today's episode will be a great lead up to our November discussion with J. Warner Wallace.
Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels
Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity. (Purchase HERE)
Detective J. (Purchase HERE)
Grace Emily Stark graces us on the show today to discuss authentic women's health and restorative reproductive medicine. The information in this episode is so important - every single girl and woman should know these things. Yet, hardly any of us do. We should know how and why God made women's bodies the way He did. He is an incredible designer. This episode isn't just for women because husbands and dads (including future husbands and dads) should know these things, as well. We do talk about specific anatomy and use terminology you may not feel comfortable listening to in front of your kids - here's your heads up!
I know the things in this episode will change lives and families for generations to come. Enjoy, learn, grow and share this with a woman or young woman you know!

October is here! So glad to be back with everyone this week. I am delighted to have Ryan Frederick on the show today. He and his wife, Selena, started Fierce Marriage because they knew marriages needed to be touched and transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ryan and Selena felt God's call to talk openly and honestly about all things MARRIAGE. For the month of October, their topic every week will be sex. Head over to the Fierce Marriage podcast to tune in - the first 2 episodes released this week! Less than 2 months ago, Ryan & Selena started a new ministry, Fierce Parenting. They are tackling the same topic this month on the parenting podcast. Check out their first episode for October, "Approaching the Sex Talk." We talk about both Fierce Marriage and Fierce Parenting in today's episode. Enjoy, grow, learn and be blessed by this episode. So grateful you're here!
Fierce Marriage - Build a healthy, Christ-centered marriage
"We started Fierce Marriage to help us process through marriage’s trials as well as celebrate its joys. We are in our 18th year of marriage and we’ve learned a ton about what works and what doesn’t. We hope that as we share openly it will help you grow and cultivate a truly Christ-centered marriage.
We've spent the past 7 years ministering to married couples around the world. God has been extraordinarily good to us! He has allowed the Fierce Marriage ministry to grow beyond our wildest dreams, all while giving us three wonderful daughters (Adelaide, Clementine, and Louisa)."
Home - Fierce Parenting
"We're a ministry that equips and encourages parents in the Gospel. We believe that family is God's idea, children are a blessing, and all of parenting is discipleship. In fact, those three ideas inform every resource you'll find here!
As a Fierce Parenting reader, you can expect bible-base, Christ-centered encouragement for your parenting journey. While we don't know everything there is to know about parenting, we do know the One who does. So let's look to Him!"

Our guest on the show today is Amanda Collins. She is a Texas mama of 5. All Christians, in some shape or form, are called to care for kids in need -- notably those in the foster care system. Amanda thought she was doing exactly (and all) God was asking of her by being a child advocate. One night, she was at an event honoring child advocates, and her husband leaned over to say, "God's been really working in me. I think he's calling us to do foster care."
Amanda's response? Nope.
Tune in to hear how God continued to work in Amanda's heart and what the process of foster care and adoption really looked like!
John 15
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Matthew 18
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
James 1
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do....27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
The next time you are with a young child, ask them, "What do you know about God?"
We did this with our 4-year-old and it was fun to hear his answers. We also asked the 2-year-old, which was cute and funny.
The 4-year-old said 3 things:
1. He loves us
2. God is our true home
3. God is 3 persons
When we asked the 2-year-old, he smiled, yelled "Holy Spirit!" and then ran away to hit a golf ball off a baseball tee.
A question we should all ask ourselves is: "Does what I believe about God line up with who God, Himself, says He is?

The topic of abortion is everywhere. Do you know where you stand? Are you prepared to defend the pro-life position to your friends and neighbors? How and at what age do we talk to our kids about pro-life issues? Scott Klusendorf joins us on the show today to help you take the first steps. We talk about SB8 being implemented in Texas last week, the Supreme Court's decision not to block it, the pro-abortion left's reaction, how we can be equipped to logically and reasonably counter those arguments, the importance of exposing kids to Christian apologetics early and often, AND we talk about the Gospel. It was an honor and a pleasure to have Scott with us!
Scott Klusendorf is the founder and president of the Life Training Institute which was established to equip pro-life advocates for defending their views in the public square. A passionate defender of pre-born children, Scott has participated in numerous debates with abortion advocates at the collegiate level. His debate opponents have included Nadine Strossen, President of the ACLU (1991-2008) – Kathryn Kolbert, an attorney that has argued for abortion rights in a United States Supreme Court case – and Kathy Kneer, President of Planned Parenthood of California. Scott has lectured to student groups at more than 80 colleges and universities including Stanford, U.C. Berkeley, Air Force Academy, Johns Hopkins and M.I.T. Scott is the author of The Case for Life and the co-author of Stand for Life. He and his wife, Stephanie, have four children and reside in the Atlanta area.

Welcome, September!
Our guest today is on fire for children's rights. Her name is Katy Faust and she is a WARRIOR. Katy founded the nonprofit Them Before Uswith the aim to give children a voice in the debate over family structure. In this episode, Katy and I focus on divorce, but the conversation leads us to discussions about same-sex parenting, IVF, cohabitation, polygamy, surrogacy, the James Younger case, Pete Buttigieg and more! It is a FANTASTIC interview. One of my favorite so far. You can hear the passion in Katy's voice, she brings logic and reason to her arguments (in addition to the data!) and she speaks in such a way that empowers you to want to be a warrior, too.
Children's Rights Before Adult Desires
Katy and co-author, Stacy Manning, published years of research and stories this past February in a book by the same name, Them Before Us. "It pairs gold-standard research with hundreds of stories from children, themselves." We had Stacy on in the spring for an excellent overview of many of the issues tackled in their book. If you have not listened to that episode, definitely check it out after this one!
Them Before Us (from Chapter 1)
"Laws around parenthood are rapidly changing. Mothers and fathers are now considered legally optional and biology is being replaced by "intent" to parent. Functionally, that makes children commodities to be cut and pasted into any/every adult relationship. Unlike adoption, which seeks to protect children by requiring vetting and screening prior to placement, new parenthood laws award children to whichever adult(s) has the money and means to acquire them. And that, my friends, is an injustice that puts both individual children, as well as all of society, at risk. "

Here is the wrap up to our Nancy Pearcey interview. This pt. 2 includes a call to action for all Christians AND an intriguing sneak peek at the new book Nancy is working on. You'll want it on pre-order! We are wishing everyone a great last few days of August!
In Love Thy Body, best-selling author Nancy Pearcey goes beyond politically correct talking points to offer a riveting exposé of the dehumanizing secularist ethos that shapes critical moral and socio-political issues of our day.
Formerly an agnostic, Pearcey was hailed in The Economistas "America's preeminent evangelical Protestant female intellectual." Fearlessly and with compassion, she makes the case that secularism denigrates the body and destroys the basis for human rights.
Throughout, Pearcey sets forth a holistic and humane alternative available to all--one that offers reality-oriented solutions that embrace the dignity of the human body and provide a sustainable basis for inalienable human rights.
"We live in a moral wasteland where human beings are desperately seeking answers to hard questions about life and sexuality. But there is hope. In the wasteland, we can cultivate a garden. We can discover a reality-based morality that expresses a positive, life-affirming view of the human person -- one that is more inspiring, more appealing and more liberating than the secular worldview." - Taken from the introduction to Love Thy Body
Nancy Pearcey is the author of Love Thy Body: Answering Hard Questions about Life and Sexuality. Her earlier books include The Soul of Science, Saving Leonardo, Finding Truth, and two ECPA Gold Medallion Award Winners:How Now Shall We Live (coauthored with Harold Fickett and Chuck Colson) and Total Truth. Her books have been translated into nine languages. She is professor and scholar in residence at Houston Baptist University. A former agnostic, Pearcey has spoken at universities such as Princeton, Stanford, USC, and Dartmouth. She was highlighted as one of the five top women apologists by Christianity Today and was hailed in The Economist as "America's pre-eminent evangelical Protestant female intellectual."

Our special guest on the show today is Tony Myles. Tony is a teaching pastor and leader of student ministries at Riverside Church in Big Lake, Minnesota. He also teaches a handful of different classes at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN. Tony wrote a book with his middle son, Daniel, called If...What If? Quirky Questions & Daily Devotions to Feed Your Family & Your Faith. The father and son duo wrote the book to "help families journey through the Bible and life together." My family used this book as a conversation starter and morning devotion at the breakfast table. Tony and I talk about how the book came to fruition, the rhyme and reason to the devotions and then Tony gives a couple of specific examples of If...What If questions. Tune in to hear great advice on connecting with our kids' hearts and minds at all ages - including some fantastic ideas for how you can make milestones extra special in your family.

We don't discipline our kids for our own benefit. We don't discipline our kids to make our lives easier or so they won't embarrass us in front of others. When we discipline our kids, we are training them in righteousness. Erin Kunkle from Maven and Strong Women joins us today to break down all things discipline!
What is the purpose of discipline?
How do we discipline our kids from a Christian worldview?
Are there different goals for discipline depending on the age of the child?
How can we be on the same team with our spouse when it comes to discipline?
How do we navigate wanting to have a strong relationship with our kids & disciplining them? Can we be firm parents and still have a thriving relationship with them?
If I discipline my kids, won't that make them want to hide things from me and lie all the time?
Check out these links for more of Erin's great parenting and marriage advice!

Jeremy Pryor grew up in Seattle - a city with more pet dogs than children. Growing up, he didn't think that was strange at all and, in fact, figured he would live in a similar way to everyone else. That all changed when he was 23-years-old and found himself in Jerusalem.
It doesn't take much analyzing to see that our culture is broken. This is largely because families are broken. What has gone wrong? Is there anything we can do about it? Jeremy explains how there is a RADICALLY different way to think about and do family. These concepts and principles of family are found in scripture, are lived out by many Jewish families still today and will change your family's life and legacy for generations.

Nathan is back with us this week to discuss the difficult, but crucial topic of pornography. If you missed last week's episode with Nathan, go back to see how the Gospel relates to video games.
At what age should we start having conversations with our kids about our body parts, privacy, what's appropriate and not appropriate - and, what does that look like?
How has our rapidly advancing technological world impacted the conversations we need to be having with our spouses and children?
What safe guards should we have on our phones, tablets and computers when it comes to inappropriate pictures and videos?
What can we do if we or a loved one is trapped in a pornography (or other sexual) addiction?
Finally, prayer for those dealing with a pornography addiction. We pray for Jesus to break the chains of sin in your life to give you Freedom In Christ!
See below for many resources!
Nathan and Anna Sutherland are the founders of Gospel Tech
Why Gospel Tech?
We believe Jesus came to set us free. Often, our technology gets in the way of our relationship with God and others. We want to see children and parents alike freed from the hold tech has on them. Our goal is simple: Teach families to see where tech is helping and where it is hurting their call to love God and love others; teach the difference between Tool Tech and Drool Tech; provide resources to develop healthy habits; build a community of support as families create new relationships with tech.

God Made All of Me is a simply-told, beautifully-illustrated story to help families talk about these sensitive issues with two- to eight-year-old children. Because the private parts of our bodies are private, the home is the ideal environment where a child should learn about his or her body and how it should be treated by others. God Made All of Me starts from the fundamental truth that God created everything and applies that truth—the doctrine of creation—to kids and their bodies. It equips parents to talk with both boys and girls about their bodies and to help them understand the difference between the appropriate and inappropriate touch of others.

Should our family own a video game system?
What is the difference between Tool Tech and Drool Tech?
What kind of boundaries should we have in place for video games, or even tech, more broadly?
How can we put our tech use to the good fruit/bad fruit tests we find in scripture?
Nathan and Anna Sutherland are the founders of Gospel Tech
Why Gospel Tech?
We believe Jesus came to set us free. Often, our technology gets in the way of our relationship with God and others. We want to see children and parents alike freed from the hold tech has on them. Our goal is simple: Teach families to see where tech is helping and where it is hurting their call to love God and love others; teach the difference between Tool Tech and Drool Tech; provide resources to develop healthy habits; build a community of support as families create new relationships with tech.

Marriage and divorce rates are on the decline. US birth rates have been plummeting well below replacement level for years now. Self-identifying Christians increasingly choose to cohabitate and believe "casual sex" is acceptable.
With our culture telling us, especially women, that we need to pursue selfish independence and worldly success at all costs (including at the cost of delaying or avoiding both marriage and children), I ask Peter Kapsner, "How does God want us to view marriage, sex and children?"
Plus, should we still hold a grudge against the Houston Astros??
I also give you my heart for Freedom Families toward the end of this episode!
Dr. Peter Kapsner is someone I have admired through the radio waves for years. This is probably the most fun I have had in a conversation yet! Peter often appears as a guest or even a guest host for radio programs on Faith Radio 900/90.7 in the Twin Cities. Faith Radio is a Biblically faithful radio station with a variety of programs, both live and recorded, addressing the difficult theological and faith questions of life, as well as the headlines of the day. He is regularly in pulpits around the Minneapolis area. Peter has been married to his wife, Hallie, for 20+ years, has five kids, lives in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and LOVES golf and travel.
With a Ph.D. in Practical Theology, Dr. Peter Kapsner brings his life experience to the classroom and radio waves as he explores the current issues facing young people today. His areas of specialty include New Testament, human sexuality, ethics, church history, engagement with culture, ministry leadership, and spiritual formation.

Them Before Us exists to advance social policies that encourage adults to actively respect the rights of children rather than expecting children to sacrifice their fundamental rights for the sake of adult desires. We aim to equip all adults to defend the rights of all children.
Them Before Us | Children's Needs Before Adults' Desires
Them Before Us: Why We Need a Global Children’s Rights Movement provides child-centric answers to questions about marriage, family, parenthood, surrogacy, adoption, reproductive technologies, divorce, same-sex parenting, cohabitation, polygamy and more.
Buy The Book
The book pairs gold-standard research with hundreds of stories from children, many of which have never been told before. The result? A new generation of children’s rights advocates.
I recommend you WATCH this interview. It is important that you can see Claire's face as she tells you her story. This is the most important story you will hear all year!

As political tensions in our country continue to rise and more lines are drawn in the sands of ideology, morality, and religion, knowing where and how to make a stance on controversial issues such as pro-life versus pro-choice is a decision that has proven to cause more divisions than it once did. Fortunately, abortion survivor Claire Culwell is no stranger to conflict and bravely shares her own journey of overcoming fear in order to become a voice for the voiceless in her new book Survivor: An Abortion Survivor’s Surprising Story of Choosing Forgiveness and Finding Redemption (4/27/21, Trade Paper, WaterBrook). In this raw and never-before-seen glimpse into her complete story, Culwell invites readers into a new perspective and encourages them to stand in a gap that often suffers attacks from both sides. Ultimately, she urges readers “to love women where they are, empower them to choose life, [and] help make choosing life possible by walking alongside them.”
Claire Culwell is an author, host of the “Called To Be Bold” podcast, and international speaker, represented by the Ambassador Speakers Bureau. She has been featured on Fox News, Focus on the Family, and in many other news outlets. She lives with her husband and their four children in Austin, Texas, where she serves on the communications and public policy committee for the Texas Alliance For Life.

David grew up in a Christian home, with Godly parents - he even professed faith as a small child. During college and his time as a professional tennis player, he realized that his profession of faith did not equal a possession of Christ Jesus. Tune in not only to hear more about David's inspiring journey, but to hear exactly what the Christian worldview is and why it is essential for Christians to not only profess faith but to possess faith and a Christian worldview.
David's website, radio show, podcast and work can be found at: https://www.thechristianworldview.org/
You can read more of David’s story, including his time at Stanford University and early years on the tennis tour, in his first book, University of Destruction—Your Game Plan for Spiritual Victory on Campus. Today on the show, we welcome Cold Case Detective, J. Warner Wallace. Jim grew up in an atheist household and in an area of California where Christians were few and far between. Years into his career, he decided to take his skills and evidential approach from the field into the Christian faith. As an atheist, he investigated the Gospel claims. Tune in to hear where that led!

Today on the show, we welcome Rebecca Lindenbach. She, her mother and a biostatistician were able to gather extensive (and very personal) data regarding sex from 20,000 women last year. Tune in to hear what they found. In Rebecca's words, the research they've compiled and analyzed is "groundbreaking, inspiring and conversation-changing". Earlier this year, they published what they found, plus many stories and a call to action, in a book called, The Great Sex Rescue. And now they're moving on to men! This particular episode and the book are a must-read/watch for both men and women!
The Great Sex Rescue is based on 4 different types of research:
-in-depth survey of 20,000 women
-Follow-up intensive interviews and focus groups
-A look at peer-reviewed research in the field
-A review of top evangelical best-selling books on marriage & sex to see what messages they give

The Equality Act isn't what its name pretends to be. You need to know what is in this bill (which is currently before the US Senate). My guest in this episode is a politics and religion scholar, professor and author. You may have seen him on the Glenn Beck show discussing his most recent book, "Did America Have a Christian Founding?" Welcome, Dr. Mark Hall!
If passed, this bill would be one of the most radical bills ever signed into law and would leave many victims all across the country.
