We have been on a digital design and construction journey for several years. It is time we share our experiences with the industry. Join us as we explore the benefits and challenges associated with construction's digital transformation.
In this episode, approach to innovation, collaboration and integrity are identified as three key areas where mindset change is needed for successful Digital Design and Construction implementation.
Culture change is often cited as the top barrier to successful implementation of Digital Design and Construction. In the previous episode we explored the use of the term ‘culture’ in this context, how replacing it with ‘mindset’ is more appropriate and identified ways of addressing organisational mindset change.
This episode is Part 2 of the 3-part series on mindset change for successful Digital Design and Construction implementation. Three key areas requiring different approaches are presented: - Innovation - Collaboration - Integrity Addressing these factors will help you or your company shift towards a path where the benefits of Digital Design and Construction are just around the bend.

In this episode we look at some key points for implementing digital design and construction on retail fit-out projects. Why is BIM and digital design & construction not seen as a key element for retail fit-out projects? How can digital design & construction change retail fit-out project delivery? How do you approach implementing digital design & construction processes on retail fit-out projects?
While similar to shell and core or other fit-out type projects in some respects, retail and shopfitting do have unique risk profiles. Spaces have direct relationships with the revenue generation. Delays to project equate to delays in sales. Defects impacting presentation or circulation can result in lower profits.
Retail fit-out projects can benefit greatly from digital design and construction implementation. Barriers and challenges do exist, however the opportunities out weight the risks.
