Born During Apartheid, She Heard God's Voice as a ChildBorn in Rhodesia during apartheid and raised in a Hindu home, Trupti grew up facing racial segregation, and a violent home life. At age 4, she was forgotten at home when her father had a near-fatal suicide attempt. It was then she first clearly heard God’s loving presence call out to her. When 12 years old, she heard a voice tell her she would leave her country and be sent "into the world." Her journey took her from Zimbabwe to London to America, through a painful marriage, and ultimately to a life-changing encounter with Jesus.“Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, ‘You are a God who sees me.’” Genesis 16:13In this Parent Compass episode as well, Trupti's children share what it's been like growing up with a mother who survived so much — and how her faith and resilience shaped their family. In her book, Esther’s Soul: God’s Love for Such a Time as This, available on Amazon, Trupti Desai poetically shares her journey from the dusty floors of an abandoned storefront in Zimbabwe to the stage at the Miss India Pageant and beyond. Heart-warming verse paints an image of overcoming obscurity, rejection, pain, abuse, and other entrapments. And the seeker within, always searching for the one thing, the one Person who can fill the emptiness sings these modern-day Psalms now that she has found a relationship with Jesus.A Poem by Trupti: releasing her from bondage to freedom in Christ“If the Son (Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 NIVTRAPPEDMy life like a bird trapped in a dark cageNo idea of how to be freeHard to breathe. Did you know one large state freed all slaves in 1781? Brought out for the 250th anniversary celebration of the Declaration of Independence, this excerpt of an interview with Nicole C. Mullen, 9-time Dove award winning singer-songwriter, tells of her role as Elizabeth Freeman, a slave set free, in The American Miracle movie – americanmiraclemovie.comRevealing the true story of God’s providential hand on America! ~Watch it today! americanmiraclemovie.comThe American Miracle Movie:What if the establishment of the United States of America, against all odds, was no accident? What if God’s Divine Hand guided the steps of the Founding Fathers, due to their faithfulness to Him and belief in His Providence? What if America is a miracle?Inspired by New York Times bestselling author Michael Medved’s book of the same title, The American Miracle – Our Nation is No Accident, is an exciting, entertaining, and edifying motion picture experience created by Heroic Pictures in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The history of the American Experiment is a fabric woven of countless instances of improbable, unimaginable success. Whether it is the supernatural protection that surrounded George Washington – the Father of our Country throughout his life, the mysterious weather conditions that favored the movements of the Continental Army at critical battlefield junctures, or, the unique, longstanding success of a revolution unlike any other in recorded world history; it is difficult, nearly impossible to explain the outcome of any of these, and so many more events like them, without allowing for divine intervention. In his first inaugural speech President George Washington described it as, “the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men.”With a large cast, and filmed on location across the country and the United Kingdom, The American Miracle stars Pat Boone, Kevin Sorbo, Nicole C. Mullen, Cameron Arnett, and James Arnold Taylor, along with authors and scholars Joseph Ellis, Richard Dreyfuss, Robert P. George, Akhil Reed Amar, and Jana Novak, among many others. For shows and more subscribe at parentcompass.tv/subscribe.Download the Parent Compass App.To have a conversation about Christ or to ask for prayer text or call 817-760-2643, or click the blue chat button in the right lower corner on parentcompass.tv.To be emailed information about Christ fill out the form at parentcompass.tv/know-christ.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29?v=20251111

Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Faith, replies heartfelt to how he and his organization have coped with Charlie's difficult death, and yet have even more renewed sense of purpose in their mission. He discusses biblical worldview and Christian conservatism. Miles tells of the impact of the organization and how TPUSA Faith has had exponential growth.Pastor Lucas Miles reflects on the profound loss of Charlie Kirk, describing him as an essential, unifying figure whose influence is still deeply felt despite his passing. Following the tragedy, the organization has found resilience through collective support, prayer, and a renewed sense of mission. TPUSA Faith serves as the faith-based division of the broader TPUSA, with a network of nearly 10,000 pastors across the United States. The division’s goal is to help church leaders teach congregants how to think biblically regarding cultural issues.Lucas emphasizes the importance of character formation, lifelong learning, and mentorship as foundational elements of leadership modeled by Charlie Kirk. He addresses the prevalent issues of trauma, isolation, and indoctrination facing today’s youth. Rather than adopting a combative approach, he advocates for redirecting the passion of young people toward a biblical worldview by treating dissenters with dignity, respect, and grace. He stresses the importance of maintaining unity within the church, despite secondary theological differences.Miles authored Pagan Threat: Confronting America’s Godless Uprising, which features a foreword written by Charlie Kirk shortly before his death. The book offers a seven-step roadmap discussed in the interview for churches and the next generation, and includes the necessity for churches to embrace digital evangelism.TPUSA Faith is currently having events more than every week of over 1000 people. This includes Faith Forward Pastor’s Summits and hosting a nationwide “Make Heaven Crowded” tour, spanning 30 locations to expand their reach and impact.Information can be found at:makeheavencrowdedtour.comlucasmiles.orgtpusafaith.comTo support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29?v=20251111

Former CEO and President of Blue Bell Creameries, Ricky Dickson, in family and business tells how to move from fear to faith—one scoop at a time.Whether in family with a failed marriage or in business with crises or everyday life, Ricky Dickson has learned, sometimes the hard way, how to walk from fear to faith. With scripture verses, Dickson in this Life Family Chat gives outlook on good times and hard and how to travel the road between holding onto a mighty God.Dickson says, “Because we know we’re going to go through trials, that’s just the life that we’re in, there can still be a peace that surpasses understanding.Mark 4 has been a chapter that I love, where Jesus goes on the boat going across the lake. He goes to sleep on the front of the boat. And the storms come. While they are bailing water out of the boat, he’s asleep. They finally go and wake him up, saying, “Do you not care? We are going to die.” He stands up and says, peace be still. And the waves be still. It just goes to perfect calm. I realized if Christ, my Savior, can rest, even in the midst of the storm, then I want to rest beside him. In the darkest of my days, I really gravitated to that story. To know that - God, I can’t control this, but you can. Therefore, I’m going to walk and journey with you through the process and no matter the outcome, you are still my Savior.”In Mark 4:34-41 the verses say: “That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, ‘Let us go over to the other side.’ Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?’He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!’”In Ricky Dickson’s book by the same name, One Scoop at a Time: Stories and Lessons from Fear to Faith, this internationally acclaimed CEO gives “the inside scoop” as only he can on one of America’s favorite-label and what it has been like to guide the company through changes, challenges, and crises with perseverance and faith in Christ. He encourages us to with faith face troubles head-on and stop letting fear call the shots.“From a failed marriage to business difficulties, each conflict drove me to my knees and required a deep level of faith in Christ to give me strength to make it through,” says Dickson.Watch the Parent Compass Life Family Chat, One Scoop at a TIme.Find the book, One Scoop at a Time, at onescoopatatime.com.For shows and more subscribe at parentcompass.tv/subscribe or download the Parent Compass App.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29

John 14:1-3In John 11:25-26, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'"“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”John 3:16 tells us Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God came so whoever believes in Him will have eternal life!"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." With three small children and on the edge of complete financial disaster, Brody and Julie sunk deep into their faith. What they learned about God in the turmoil of the trial gave them a strong emotional foundation to walk through life. See God can bring inner strength despite circumstances. You will hear:Everything started to fall apart from a business sense. Every time we turned around there was a gut-wrenching issue that was hard. Not wanting to blame God, but still, God, I know you can fix this. I learned a lot more about spiritual warfare. Satan does not want you to be victorious in your walk with the Lord. JulieTrusting Him is giving Him everything even the things you have worked on. I had to give up some things I did not want to give up. BrodyOnce I understood spiritual warfare, everything began to shift. JulieWe live in a fallen world and it is hard. JulieIf You want to take it all away, take it all away. BrodyIf we have to sit in this a long time, we’ll wait on You, but we are not moving without You. JulieOur kids were so young we did not expose them to the struggles we were going through. We did not want to burden them with fear at the ages they were at. BrodyComing home and having them run to greet me was like Disneyland. BrodyFight the good fight of faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. 1 Timothy 6:12Nothing is wrong with you. JulieIt is a time of intensity and struggle for a lot of parents and they are not alone. It is scary to raise kids at this time. For every generation before, there were physical threats known that would have to get close enough to your kids to harm them. That is not the case anymore. Technology and the things kids have available to them is super scary. There are all kinds of avenues to your kids and they do not have to be under your roof and they can get under your roof without you knowing. They don’t have to pass through the front door. But God has told us to be fruitful and multiply. He has told us to trust Him. He has told us He is on the throne and He is not leaving the throne. JulieDon't miss a show. Brody had everything planned out. Julie was moving quickly up the career ladder. When they met, they knew what they wanted from a marriage and knew how to get there. But with three children and a startup ground-breaking venture, it all started to come apart. Facing financial disaster, God was their only help. The mind of a person plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9You will hear:I didn’t need God and neither did anyone else. The only people that did were weak. JulieBought a practice and started another practice. All of sudden things weren’t on track. BrodyThe great plans started to unravel. JulieLord, where are you in this? JulieI was afraid we would lose everything. JulieWe’ve gotta survive and get through this. BrodyAll the Different things we had going were all crashing around us. JulieI think the hardest part was not knowing the answer, when you were a person who always kind of had a plan, had an answer. BrodyI’m definitely a planner. What’s the long plan? What’s the long game? What are the steps that need to happen. BrodyEverything we had planned for 6 or 7 years were on track and then all of a sudden they weren’t on track. BrodyHow are you going to deal with this? Are you going to bail out? Are you going to quit? BrodyGod impressed upon me that my role was to pray and support Brody. JulieI went into a very survivalist type mode. BrodyI had to go 18 months without taking any money home. So we had to survive. BrodyI had to share that I didn’t know. I think the hardest part was not knowing the answer, when you were a person who always kind of had a plan, had an answer. BrodyI think the hardest part was admitting that to her. And thinking I let her down. But her saying that I didn’t let her down. Thinking I was a failure. I was failing her and the family. She didn’t ever accept that. It is not like she said, no you are not, she tried to banish that from my mind. BrodyWe were going through a lot of stuff with the family and with my dad as well. BrodyEverywhere we looked it seemed to be chaos. It was about 7 years of turmoil. That included family illness, death Everything seemed heavy. JulieDon't miss a show. In a medical world manipulated by advertising and financial interests, true information is hard to find and often harder to understand. Our goal is to put the power of scientifically researched health information in your hands and to be bold and transparent in doing so, thereby enabling your medical decisions to come from tangible understanding, not medical coercion. Founded in 2016, ICAN was created with the goal of providing every person with the right to informed consent. We believe that by holding regulators accountable through our successful legal action, individuals will become empowered to make truly informed decisions about their own health and the health of their families. Using an unprecedented legal strategy, ICAN has successfully won lawsuits against Health and Human Services (HHS), The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institutes for Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).The interview was held at the Autism Health Summit ahsconference.com.For more shows subscribe at parentcompass.tv/subscribe and download the Parent Compass App.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29

Lighthearted and with laughter, Cameron and BJ Arnett tell of their upbringings and how the faith of their parents influenced them. With great suggestions for relationships, they tell their Satan check strategy and their strategy to bring God in. Cameron says, We had this thing called Satan check. Whenever we felt like the atmosphere was getting a little thick from an adversarial perspective, we would stop and say, Satan check’ and we would introspectively look at ourselves as to what we needed to repent, change whatever and come back together and do it Gods way.Among playing the blind man in the Kendrick movie, Overcomer, Cameron is an award-winning actor in television, film and theater. He has appeared on about every major network; in NBC’s Miami Vice, Fox’s Star Trek, ABC’s Doogie Houser. Cameron’s wife, BJ, also, is an actress, speaker and producer. Together they powerfully share the critical answer to their difficult lives before God, including divorce to now.Turning to God Blended Family...so for five years, I was in torment... CameronHear how Cameron got out of torment as he says of what got him out: It impacted me drastically. I turned from one man to next. The Arnetts also touch on: Children, let me tell you all of my mistakes, so you do not have to make them, which is in Cameron's children's book: A Good Man - A Child's "I Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda!" We believe God.Cameron tells, I was 20 when I received Christ for the first time, but I went to a church that taught me how to get saved every Sunday, so it never really taught me how to live, so for five years, I was in torment, because I loved God, I had a conscious now, but I didn’t know how to live for God. So I still lived how I lived before and I was dying on the inside for five years. So at the end of those five years I met Christ for the first time and got converted and all those things and it changed me forever. It impacted me drastically. I turned from one man to next.God Arranged MarriageWould you give up top Hollywood career to remain faithful to God? Hear Cameron's decision on partial body nudity. Hear the crazy, fun story of how Cameron gets the role of Thomas Hill in the Kendrick movie Overcomer. Key Kendrick advice: Stay Humble.Movies discussed:OvercomerI Still BelieveMaddie the DiscoveryHow do you know God's will for your life? God has the Wordthe Biblethat God has already written. That is the revealed will of God. So, you know God’s will by reading that. The reason why most people miss the preceding word of God is because they neglect the revealed will of God. So, the Word of God is written for us to follow the way we are supposed to. If you do that you will actually be doing the will of God. Then, the Holy Spirit is given to you to lead you into all truth. But He can't lead you into all truth when you haven't followed the truth that you already should know. Most people have to get back to the written word and they'll find that is where the Holy Spirit is speaking from, because that is where He lives. He wrote it. So, until you abide by that there is nothing else for Him to say. While growing up comfortably, Alexcia's religion was her skin color. Shamoir grew up surrounded by drugs and gangs. Alexcia and Shamoir meet carpooling with the theater director 45 minutes each time to play practice. They discussed every major topic and were on opposite sides of them all. Working three jobs to make ends meet, Shamoir turns away lucrative job opportunities to go to school for ministry. Alexcia fights off family comments calling him a bum. The sacrifice brings joy as Shamoir and Alexcia have opportunities to tell others the lifesaving message of the love of God and salvation in Christ. Now ministering to others and raising three daughters, their journey has been filled with life altering miracles. My skin color was my religion. AlexciaPro black home. White people hated black people. We did not deal with white people in our class at all. AlexciaFrom the hood in Jersey City. Grew up in a very dysfunctional environment. My mom struggled with severe drug addiction. ShamoirI struggled with anger from the abandonment of my biological father. AlexciaI fought a lot. I got kicked out of multiple schools. AlexciaI resented God. I hated Him. ShamoirEven though my mom struggled with drug addiction, she was a phenomenal mom when she was clean. When she wasn’t suffering from relapse, she was an outstanding mom. She was my best friend. That’s why it was so hard, I felt like my world was taken away from me, when she died. I did feel abandoned. I would cry about it. I would find places to isolate myself and I would just scream. Cause I had to get it out. I resented God. I hated Him. ShamoirI can no longer have this little girl watch me cry. AlexciaThe things I used to love doing; drinking, women, weed, started to just weigh on me so heavy. A really bad downward spiral for me. ShamoirThis Jesus that I am hearing about. I need Him. ShamoirWe just kind of sat in the back seat together. Never looked at each other once. I got out of the car as if he wasn’t even there. That is kinda how we met. AlexciaThat is where the story starts to collide. AlexciaI was told Christianity was a white man’s religion. AlexciaStop trying to create God in your image, and understand, accept and believe that you are made in His. ShamoirWe are just trying to get it right. AlexciaMy mind was blown. I was like, What? You changed your mind based on some facts and evidence that was presented to you? And she was like, Yeah. And I fell in love with her right there. ShamoirShe had just gotten out of a really bad relationship and became a newly single mom. It was a hurdle for me. I had to ultimately alter my preferences a little bit and she had to alter her preferences a little bit for me too. My conduct had not been entirely conformed at the time we started getting together either. ShamoirOur first date he told me, I am looking for marriage and if you are not we need to stop the date right now. Okay, I had never heard anyone say that before so I am going to stay right here. We are going to finish this date. AlexciaWe spoke about everything. Laying it all out there. I told her how many kids I wanted. The dynamic of my family that I wanted to structure and lead in a Christlike way. ShamoirI remember he told me his life story and I cried. This was completely opposite of my story. Sometimes you think all black people have the same story. AlexciaI was there and I didn’t want to be there. I would hold onto it for a while and I would pass it to the next person. No one noticed. ShamoirNo one is really paying attention until one day one of my friends did notice what I was doing. He said, You haven’t smoked in a really long time. You are just taking it, holding it, and passing it. I am like, I am going to be honest with you, I don’t want to do this anymore. When you live life for Christ, there is a separation that takes place in between like your family, like your friends you grew up knowing and loving where you had everything in common because you are from similar backgrounds and you do the same things. A huge chasm of difference grows inbetween you because I am called to live life this way and you are going that way. I started to grow in Christlikeness in that regard where I didn’t need it anymore...definitely feel liberated. ShamoirShe is off the deep end now. She’s going toward the white man’s religion. AlexciaThe rule in my house growing up was: Do as I say, not as I do. That leaves room for them to make all the mistakes that they want without taking accountability. But you just don’t do it. I can do what I want because I am adult. You are a child. You stay in your place and do as I say. I did not want to perpetuate that cycle of brokenness and dysfunction. ShamoirI understand how important it is to have that father figure there, who is there every single day. Although he is not going to be perfect either, just to have his presence. I did not have that, but I knew how much I wanted that for me. So I was like, I am going to give that to my kids. ShamoirI struggle with being a husband and a father. I am trying to be good at something that I have never witnessed. I have never seen firsthand. Yes, I have the representation of the ideal man in the form of Christ. But I think there are elements that come from experience. A lot of it was just trial and error. ShamoirOur life is just riddled with brokenness, with chaos. ShamoirI was struggling with the idea of embracing a child that wasn’t mine. I felt conviction. ShamoirLove is not pain. Love does not hurt. It is a choice to sacrifice for someone else. AlexciaI was in a really hard place spiritually. ShamoirPeople were calling me a bum! ShamoirHe does have a real job. AlexciaI am just in awe of the way the Lord moves that no one can ever tell me He is not real. AlexciaTo watch from where he came from to where he is now is nothing but a God thing. It is beautiful to see. AlexciaIt’s not perfect, but we share the same values. We have the same worldview. Ultimately, I believe, that is because of the unity that is provided to us in our respective relationships with Christ and also, our collective relationships with Christ. ShamoirThere were things we did not see eye to eye on, but we were able to speak about it in a constructive way. ShamoirI think we both fill a void of the instability in regard to not having a father to trust and not having a mother to trust. So when we came together there was a hurdle to overcome initially. AlexciaWe are just serving in the most obedient way that we can even though it is hard, even though it gets ugly. It’s rough. ShamoirWhen I got to college my eyes were opened. You have the drinking, the parties. AlexciaWhile growing up comfortably, Alexcia's religion was her skin color. Hear how Derral Eves goes from facing the corner to The Chosen. Derral Eves is Executive Producer of The Chosen TV series and a YouTuber with billions of views. Yes, with a b billions.Constantly in trouble and standing facing the corner almost daily in the third grade. Then, a lot of friction when a teenager. Is there no hope? Or has God made this child for a good purpose no matter what it seems like? From Derral Eves’ story we can realize to continue in faith and guidance of the Lord, for there is hope as parents, even when we might feel like giving up.For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10My parents have been supportive from day 1 of trying to help me understand who I am; my relationship with God, also my relationship with others, and what I am meant to do here on earth. I can honestly say because of their mentorship and friendship I was able to discover Jesus and I was able to discover a world I didn't even know existed and it led to doing things that people said were impossible. It helped me establish a routine and a mindset that I could be used in different aspects to really build up the Lord's kingdom. Derral EvesLittle did I know being a teenager most of the friction was me. Cause being a teenager I had no idea the world actually existed outside of Darrel Eves. It wasn't until having a couple life moments of discovering Jesus and realizing what Jesus has done for us and being redeemed and being put on a path of what it means to be a follower of Jesus that I discovered what type of parent I wanted to be. Derral EvesHear the backstory behind The Chosen that broke the all-time crowdfunding record with 10 million dollars raised. The Chosen is a television series about the life of Jesus Christ where the viewer identifies with the Bible characters as if they were today.Know this. If we are going to impact the world there is no way we can impact It ourselves. But together we can. I believe that is what The Chosen is. Yes, it is a TV show, but it is much more than a TV show. It’s a movement. A movement to discover Jesus. If there is ever a time in the world that we need Jesus, it is today. The Bible tells us we are to be ready for Christ to come again; for example in Matthew 24:44, So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. and in Matthew 25:1-13 with The Parable of the Ten Virgins and more.Jesus also tells us we will see the signs of his coming and the end of the age like the fig tree tells the season. The disciples asked Jesus, what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? Jesus said, learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Matthew 24:32-33Advisor to World Leaders, President of WRNO worldwide shortwave radio, Dr. Rev. Robert Mawire has, also, received a lifetime achievement award from the Knesset and the world Jewish congress for his dedication and work for the Jewish people. Is there a way to live through war? Born and raised in Israel and now raising their own family there, the Salways tell their heart answer to the crisis. Hear their story. What does God say about Israel? In Genesis 12, God promised Abraham, I will make you a great nation meaning Israel, and God said, I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you. In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. We know all the families were blessed through Israel because the Jews were the chosen people from whom the Messiah, the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ came. Jesus Christ, Himself, was a Jew.On October 7, 2023 terrorist group Hamas in Gaza announced Operation Flood firing 5,000 rockets into Israel in a span of 20 minutes. 3,000 terrorists entered Israel massacring over 1,200 men, women, children, babies, and the elderly brutally killing including burning alive and beheading while taking videos. Soldiers in the Israeli Defense Forces rescued thousands and were able to retake where the terrorists came. Knowing nothing but Communism, Kaiben and Jihong both grew up in different parts of China. When they came to the U.S. separately to attend college, neither had any idea their lives would be so radically changed by a guy they had never heard about named Jesus! Now pastoring a Chinese congregation in America and raising four children, their journey is paved with miracles, including victory over a deadly eating disorder.God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:9You will hear:We were educated that Christianity is not good for Chinese People. - KaibenI even wanted to write an article, 100 reasons not to believe in Christianity. - KaibenI really had a personal encounter with the whole Tiananmen Square thing. - JihongMy father taught me how people should have freedom of speech, freedom of gathering. He really gave me the first touch of those ideas. - JihongWe have rules like, laugh and be kind Jihongand debate and argue. Just speak your mind. KaibenWe talk mainly around the dinner table and debate most of the time. DanielWe encourage the environment, everyone speaks out. KaibenDinnertime together becomes a family tradition. The most important thing is that we can communicate. That is very precious time for our family. KaibenWhenever there are important things that happen in the world. They will bring it up and we have a debate. A nice debate. My dad, he got 50 arrests for preaching the gospel and operating a home church in the Soviet Union. - AndreyThe journey to a family of five and 100 employees started a world away. Born to a Soviet Union father who was arrested 50 times for preaching the gospel and operating a home church, Andrey saw firsthand God's miraculous provision in his life. On the other side of the world, Mary grew up in poverty in New Orleans. A move to America inspired by the Holy Spirit and hurricane Katrina would bring Mary and Andrey's world's colliding together. It was age 16, when Andrey Novik came from Belarus, former Soviet Union, now called Russia, with his parents and 8 siblings. His father was head of the underground churches in Belarus, and was for many years strongly persecuted for his faith there. From the USA, Mary grew up in Louisiana, with 13 siblings, one adopted. Mary's mother took in homeless people sometimes having 26 people living in their home. But Mary and Andrey deeply learned the secret to life - faith. Watch hearts sold out to God in "Faith Passed Down".Andrey:Everything goes back to my great grandparents. I think it goes back to the first world war. They got saved because of a Jewish family. My grandfather, he had twelve brothers and sisters. When the war happened, they were transferred to Russia. On the way back on the train, nine of them passed away because of the hunger. My grandfather, he survived. His father, which is my great grandfather, he said, 'I am going to do everything possible to dedicate my son [to the Lord]. My grandfather, he got married when he was 17 and my grandmother was 16. He was always saying, 'I am going to have sons. They are all going to be pastors.' So one daughter and eight sons. From those eight sons, 6 or 7 of them are pastors. My dad had the passion for Christ all the way from childhood.I have nine brothers and sisters. My dad was a pastor. Our house was used as the underground church. The first story [or floor] was used for the family. We only had one room. The second story was just for the church. We had neighbors, they were not Christians, but they would always watch. If they saw the KGB [Russian Secret Police] coming, they would always inform us.My dad, he got 50 arrests. I remember one specific moment when he was knocked down to the ground. They look at us, kids, and like, 'Hey, you’re probably not going to see your dad again, because he is breaking the law. He allows the church in this house.' We were very concerned. And I remember those emotions. He's unafraid. He's a great, great man of God. It was hard for my mom. She would cry, but she would always tell us, 'Hey, don't say anything to your Dad, because I don't want him to stop the ministry.'The collapse of the Soviet Union happened. My dad, he was emotional. And I remember that moment exactly, when he was holding my hand and for the first time we walked in the street and just enjoying the moment and the freedom. Finally we can have church outside of my house.Mary:I grew up in a poverty mindset. Born in Virginia. When I was five my dad got a job offer in New Orleans. My mom had nine children, so it was a big uprooting. Six months later my dad got laid off from his job. It was a huge adventure and difficulty for our family. My mom kept on getting pregnant. There were 13 biological children. There is also my adopted brother and he makes 14. My parents took in homeless people as a ministry. We had like 26 people living in our house one time. We lived day by day, paycheck to paycheck. God always said that he is going to provide our daily bread. Growing up in that you just see God's provision.Watch the Novik family in "Faith Passed Down."To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29

I knew that that was it. I was fading in and out,so I cried out to God.I was gasping for air in prayer. Please, if you would give me one last chance.I knew that I was going to die and would have to stand before Him.Immediately like right after I started praying, it was like God was showing me all of my sins. And showing me that I was going to stand before Him, and die, and I was going to be cast into hell. And I was frightened. If this is my life and this is it, then I get it. But, please, Lord, I was begging. If there was one last chance that He would allow me to live, I’d give Him everything; professional, personal. I repent of all my sins. I just want to be born again.Brooke and Landon Thurman met over Facebook while both immersed in the Los Angeles party scene. Both from broken homes, they derailed into hard drugs and hard living, resulting in Landon doing time in the county jail. When their first child came along they were focused on raising him to be a "good person" and pursuing the American dream... until Covid hit the world and both of them. As Landon struggled for every breath, he was sure death was near, but in an instant God came crashing into his life and a miracle happened that would change everything for his entire family forever! For more shows and more subscribe atparentcompass.tv/subscribeTo support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1494/29To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1493/29

"We go through our life trying to hide our scars. So people have asked me many times, how could you put your personal story out there. If it was broken, I wouldn't, but being beautifully broken... We try to hide our scars, but there are other people that have been scarred as bad as us. I think back to the Bible after the crucifixion when Jesus came from his resurrection and he met his disciples for the first time, what's one of the first things He did? He showed them His scars. He didn't show them the scars to remind them of the pain. He showed them the scars to remind them of his victory over that pain. Not to compare myself to that, but why do I show the scars of our family? Because it is to remind people, to let people know that there is a victory over that pain. There is a victory over those scars. And it is a beautiful one.Sometimes you might feel lost. But I promise you, when you feel lost, God is laying a trail you just can't see yet. So persevere." - Randy HartleyONE FAMILY ESCAPES GENOCIDE IN RWANDA,WHILE ACROSS THE WORLD, ANOTHER FAMILY REELSFROM THE TRAGEDY OF DARK SECRETSULTIMATELY,BOTH FAMILIES’ LIVES WILL BE GRAFTED TOGETHERTHE STORY BEHIND THE FEATURE FILM BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN NOW RELEASED AS A MEMOIR.Beautifully Broken, now a book by Nashville’s Randy Hartley (and featuring Rwandan refugees William and Ebralie Mwizerwa), powerfully illustrates the lengths that fathers will go to save their families, and how God intersects vastly different paths through simple acts.Hear in Part 2 of "Beautifully Broken", this Life Family Chat with Randy Hartley, how scars are overcome with victory. For the book and/or the movie go to beautifullybrokenmovie.com.Beautifully Broken is a powerful story of redemption and a moving depiction of how God interweaves our stories with others’ for His glory.Michael W. This true story is a movie and memoir, a vivid, first-person reminder of how deeply involved God is around the globe. From this harrowing journey, the Mwizerwas settled in Nashville, Tennessee and began providing resources to help other refugees through their non-profit, Legacy Mission Village.Unbeknownst to the Mwizerwas, their paths would soon cross with Nashville natives, the Hartley family. Canopy's technology also automatically scans and analyzes photos that are saved on a device to deter sexting. The App Management tool allows parents to choose which apps their children can access, while location awareness allows them to keep up with their children, no matter where life takes them. Canopy works on smartphones, tablets and computers and cannot be removed from a child’s device without parental consent. The company has performed extensive testing to guarantee its system catches inappropriate materials other filtering software misses and to ensure there are no hacks or workarounds for users to bypass the app on a device. How it works: Install Canopy on any phone, tablet or computer, choose safety setting preferences and never worry about explicit content again. Canopy seamlessly detects, blocks and removes pornographic content and explicit material in your web browser. The Canopy parental control app allows parents to choose which apps are allowed and what images can be shared. How it was developed: Canopy is the U.S. expansion of Netspark, an Israeli technology company that has pioneered significant advances to keep families safe online. This technology has been deployed at scale in Israel where it protects more than 2 million smartphones, tablets and computers and is used by more than 90% of schools. Watch Parts 1,2 3 to hear the whole story. All parts version will also be available. How do you know God's will for your life? God has a Word - the Bible - that God has already written. That is the revealed will of God. So you know that by reading that. The reason why most people miss the preceding word of God is because they neglect the revealed will of God. So the Word of God is written for us to follow the way we are supposed to. So until you abide by that there is nothing else for Him to say.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1494/29

Scott Lane, former chairman of the board Bill Glass Behind the WallsBook at www.alimaster.comQuotes from Parent Compass episode, Beyond the Golden Door:It is amazing how God provided for us when we were young Christians working, poor as church mice really and we would rely on God to provide for us and He did and it stretched our faith. AliWith my children I want to make sure that talking about Jesus is as normal as talking about anything else. JudyAnd He [Jesus] said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15For a lot of my friends in school, Christianity is something they grew up with. It is very cultural. And so they are Christians because they can never imagine being anything else. And for me, my dad made a very specific choice. MollieIt’s never too late to turn your life around. EmmaI thought she was one of those happy people and then I met her family and they had the same problem. AliThat’s not who I thought He was, yes, Jesus was a prophet and respected, but this man whose words I was hearing was a lot more than a prophet. So I found myself at a crossroads. AliI was defenseless against His love. AliMy words changed, my habits changed. There is no way I could have psyched myself into changing like that. - Ali
