In other words now that Jesus had apprehended me I was to be a part of a worldwide team explaining this great mystery to people who had a hunger for truth. .

As Adam and Eve learned, gaining knowledge does not of itself lead to life. Gaining knowledge at the expense of obedience and love is a killer. What is of paramount importance is being known of God, in other words, letting God know me.

Good Morning friends – Imagine you are holding an acorn in your hand as I have at many funerals and memorial services. There is life hidden in this acorn but it is not empirically observable. You have no way of knowing it. A memorial service reminds us that we are here on earth for a short time and then proceed on our journey beyond this present life and time.

At most memorials we are blessed by the reminder of a life well lived. At one memorial we watched a video testimony by our brother in Christ Ken who had just passed telling us to sober minded and remember to give our lives to Jesus before it is to late.
For many listeners at a funeral Jesus was a good man or teacher and religion is alright for some but not for me. But the Bible instructs us that our very salvation from death hangs on our belief in the miracle of Jesus crucifixion and resurrection

Jesus took our sin and shame upon himself

We all must deal w/ our use of Time,7 days in a week, 24 hrs is a day, 60 min in an hour

the resultant need of Discipline, training, order in our lives – as we awaken to the fact that for most of us this is not a 100 yd dash but a life long marathon
We begin to recognize our journey is both outward, geographical and inward spiritual.
On what inward basis are we approaching this present pause in our life on earth. Are we facing uncertainty, worry, discouragement?
Jeremiah 12:5 (NKJV) "If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

Luke 19:30-44 (NKJV) "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
31 And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.' "32 So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?"34 And they said, "The Lord has need of him."35 Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.
36 And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
