White Linen
SISTERS Rev 19.13
You are dressed in White Linen
You are so awesome to behold
Clothed in a vesture which was dyed in blood
Your name is called the Word of God
BROTHERS Rev 19.7-8
You are arrayed in white linen
Washed clean in the Blood of the Lamb
At the marriage of the Lamb You are a bride made ready
Therefore you worship Him
SISTERS Rev 19.11
Behold I see you on a white horse
My Lord you are faithful and true
You have girded on the robes of righteousness
My Lord you judge and you make war
BROTHERS Isa 62.4
Thou shalt no more be forsaken
Nor your land be desolate
For the Lord your love delighteth in thee
And your land shall be married
SISTERS Rev 7.15
Therefore are we before the throne of God
Serving in His temple day and night
He who sits upon the throne on high
Dwells forever in our midst
BROTHERS Isa 62.5
As a young man marries a virgin
So shall thy sons marry thee
And as a bridegroom rejoices o' re the bride
So shall thy God rejoice over thee
SISTERS Rev 7.16-17
We shall neither hunger nor thirst anymore
Overshadowed by my Lord
And he shall lead us to the fountains of waters
And wipe away our tears
TOGETHER
Yes your name is Jesus
Yes your name is Jesus
Your name is called the Word of God
Yes your name is Savior
Yes your name is Warrior
And you've bought us with your blood
Yes your name is Shepherd
Your name is Husband Brother
And you've drawn us to your love

Jesus Personal Prayer for You The Gospel of John Chapter 17 PROTECTION -John 17:11- "protect them by the power of your name-the name you gave me-so that they may be one as we are one!' John 17:15 -"My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one"
JOY- John 17:13 –“ I say these things while I am still in the world so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.”
HOLINESS -John 17:1 –“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. John 17:19 -For them I sanctify myself that they too may be truly sanctified.”
SENDING -GO -John 17:18 –“As you sent me into the world; I have sent them into the world."
UNITY -John 17:20-23 -"My prayer is not for them alone. 1 pray also for those who will believe in me through their message 2 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and 1 am in you. May they also be in us so that the wor[d may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave met that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
GLORY -John 17:24 -"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where 1 am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "
LOVE -John 17:25-26 -"Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, 1 know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 1 have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." PROCLAMATION Col. 3:14 -And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. PRINCE OF PEACE FELLOWSHIP @ 1987 All scripture from the New International Version

BLIND AS YOUR SERVANT
1. Lord you've called me to be broken as bread,
A broken and a contrite spirit,
To be empty as a broken flask of oil
Poured out upon the nations oh Lord
BRIDGE
Oh Lord, I have nothing to give except what you give me Oh Lord
This world is just the pride of man, it offers me nothing
I don't want to see it anymore, I would be blind as your servant Oh Lord
Make me clean thru and thru, let me be hidden in you Oh Lord

The Prettiest Flowers
verse 1
I know there is a land of beautiful flowers,
Where we will meet again when life is o'er;
Where we will while away the endless hours
on heaven's bright eternal shore
©Albert E Brumley
MEMORIES Memories, I see the light in your eyes
Evening breeze. waiting to bring a surprise
In the distance a song begins arriving on the wind
As you listen you seem to change
From stress to peace within
And I wonder, yes I wonder
I wonder yes I wonder
At your innocence
Verse 2
Memories, etched by a song in the night
Melody, carves out a place and a time
Like a photograph we are taken to
A place we used to know
Freeze-framed our path since shaped
By the actions we did sow
And I wonder, yes I wonder
I wonder yes I wonder
At our innocence

A few Scriptures for the coming year
Galatians 6:14-15 (NIV) 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.
Galatians 2:20-21 (NIV) 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
2 Corinthians 11:2-3 (NASB) 2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.
3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV) For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you.

Galatians 3:5-14 (NKJV) 5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?-- 6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."
11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith."
12 Yet the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"),
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

John 12:23-26 (NKJV) 23 But Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.
27 "Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.28 Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."
29 The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him."
30 Jesus answered, "This voice has come for your sake, not mine.

1 Pet 2.3-11 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious ,5you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
Lev 25.23 the land is mine. For you are strangers and sojourners with me.ES Ps 39.12 12 "Hear my prayer, O LORD, listen to my cry for help; be not deaf to my weeping. For I dwell with you as an alien, a stranger, as all my fathers were. NIV

Eph 2.19 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

(Repeat "I don't want...") (Last time) let me be hidden in you Oh Lord, Oh Lord Oh Lord

ANY DAY NOW
Any day now Jesus you’ll arrive
With companies of angels like lightening in the sky
Their voices will be lifted
Songs of glory sung
Darkness flees before you
At last the true light comes
Chorus
So many choices
So many voices calling too
I will concentrate my gaze on you Wake up my soul now be watchful for the dawn
It’s time to get ready
It’s already begun
His armies he is leading
The battle will be won
His foes are retreating from the Holy One
You are my portion, You are all I have
When all else fails me
Your covenant will last
I will set you always before me
I will not be moved
And with you at my right hand
I can never lose.

Are you for me?
John 14:6-9 (ESV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

1 John 2:18-23 (ESV) 18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
Acts 4:8-14 (ESV) 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
2 Timothy 3:11-14 (ESV 12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
Genesis 25:29-34 (NKJV)
29 Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary.
30 And Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary." Therefore his name was called Edom.
31 But Jacob said, "Sell me your birthright as of this day."
32 And Esau said, "Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?"
33 Then Jacob said, "Swear to me as of this day." So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
34 And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
Genesis 28:10-19 (ESV) 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”
Philippians 3:12-16 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

I had a conversation with a brother who ran a ministry camp but had been shunned by his denomination as a result of a sin he committed 18 years earlier. He had asked forgiveness and been forgiven by the individual he had wronged but his Church had not forgiven him. I discussed the ground of performance as contrasted with the ground of forgiveness. His wife wrote me a week later and asked me to send them a recap of what I said. That letter is contained in this message

Galatians 4:3-7 (NKJV) 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
by Jesus on the way to the crucifixion. Every indication is those times are NOW.
Luke 23:28-31 (NKJV) 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
29 For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!' 30 Then they will begin 'to say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!" '
31 For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?"
Luke 17:26-33 (NKJV) 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot's wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
2 Peter 2:1-11 (NIV) 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;
5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;
6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;
7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men
8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)--
9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.
10 This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;

Ephesians 1:13-14 (HCSB) 13 When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. 14 He is the down payment (the earnest) of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV) 9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
These followers men and women gathered in the upper room to pray while they waited to be endued with power from on high. They did not hold a conference or perform any of our modern means of promotion. They waited and prayed. Power was coming.
Ephesians 1:15-20 (NKJV) 15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Ephesians 3:1-12 (NKJV) 1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles-- 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ),
5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:
6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,
7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.
8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 and to make all see what is the administration, (the secret plan) of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;
10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
In other words now that Jesus had apprehended me I was to be a part of a worldwide team explaining this great mystery to people who had a hunger for truth. .
1 Samuel 3:1 (NKJV) Then the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.

1 Corinthians 8:1-3 (NIV)
1 . . . We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3 But the man who loves God is known by God.
As Adam and Eve learned, gaining knowledge does not of itself lead to life. Gaining knowledge at the expense of obedience and love is a killer. What is of paramount importance is being known of God, in other words, letting God know me.
Romans 8:11-15 (ESV)
11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” .

6 . . there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

After Jesus was baptized by JB he was led into the desert to be tested by the Devil. After 40 days of fasting and prayer Jesus traveled to his home town. The Rabbi handed him the book of Isaiah and he read the following in the synagogue at Nazareth.
Isaiah 61:1-2 (NKJV) 1 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
Luke 4:20-30 (NKJV) 20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, "Is this not Joseph's son?"
23 He said to them, "You will surely say this proverb to Me, 'Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.' "
24 Then He said, "Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian."
28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff.

4 "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Philippians 4:3 (ESV) Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Revelation 20:15 (NKJV)
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 3:5 (NIV) He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

Are you Risen with Christ?
Good Morning friends – Imagine you are holding an acorn in your hand as I have at many funerals and memorial services. There is life hidden in this acorn but it is not empirically observable. You have no way of knowing it. A memorial service reminds us that we are here on earth for a short time and then proceed on our journey beyond this present life and time.
So I ask, “What’s inside this acorn ? More about that in a bit
At most memorials we are blessed by the reminder of a life well lived. At one memorial we watched a video testimony by our brother in Christ Ken who had just passed telling us to sober minded and remember to give our lives to Jesus before it is to late.
For many listeners at a funeral Jesus was a good man or teacher and religion is alright for some but not for me. But the Bible instructs us that our very salvation from death hangs on our belief in the miracle of Jesus crucifixion and resurrection
Romans 10:9-11 (ESV) 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
Jesus took our sin and shame upon himself
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) …let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Now imagine yourself at sea as night falls
On his sea voyage to Cyprus Lawrence Durrell writes (From Bitter Lemons) – “We had become with the approach of night, once more aware of loneliness and time the two companions without whom no journey can yield us anything.”
We all must deal w/ our use of Time,7 days in a week, 24 hrs is a day, 60 min in an hour
Loneliness and the desire to be loved and understood
the resultant need of Discipline, training, order in our lives – as we awaken to the fact that for most of us this is not a 100 yd dash but a life long marathon
We begin to recognize our journey is both outward, geographical and inward spiritual.
On what inward basis are we approaching this present pause in our life on earth. Are we facing uncertainty, worry, discouragement?
Jeremiah 12:5 (NKJV) "If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?
Jeremiah 12:5 (MSG) "So, Jeremiah, if you're worn out in this footrace with men, what makes you think you can race against horses? And if you can't keep your wits during times of calm, what's going to happen when troubles break loose like the Jordan in flood?
What does it mean to be alive truly alive with Jesus?
Romans 6:3-5 (ESV) 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

Visitation Palm Sunday 4/5/20
If you wish open your Bible to Lk 19 – Jesus approaching Jerusalem a few days before He is to be crucified.
Luke 19:30-44 (NKJV) "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
31 And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.' "32 So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?"34 And they said, "The Lord has need of him."35 Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.
36 And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" 39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." 40 But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out." 41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."
Joshua 24:26-27 (NIV) 26 And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the Lord. 27 "See!" he said to all the people. "This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God."
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Visitation - investigation, inspection
God searching out the ways, deeds, and character of men by visiting them
1 Pet 2.12 - 12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
Psalms 57:1 (NLT2) Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.
I just read an email from Samaritans Purse which showed how our brothers and sisters in Christ are laying down their lives for the sake of others and their love of Jesus. The email with pictures comes from Central Park in N.Y. Here is the link for your perusal.

Isaiah 33:14 (NKJV) The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: "Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?"
Malachi 3:2 (NKJV) "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderer's soap.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 (NKJV) 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13 each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.
14 If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
Luke 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
17 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire."
Matthew 7:15-20 (NKJV) 15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Deuteronomy 4:20 (NKJV) But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day.
Daniel 3:16-26 (NKJV) 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.
20 And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind&

2 Timothy 3:1 (AMP) BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NIV) 1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God--
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
Luke 3:2-6
2The word of God came to John, son of Zechariah, in the desert.
3 He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
4 As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
"A voice of one calling in the desert,
Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
6 The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
And all mankind will see God's salvation." NIV
Isaiah 33:2-6 (ESV) 2 O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble. . .
5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, 6 and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.
John 6:15-21 (TLB) 15 Jesus saw that they were ready to take him by force and make him their king, so he went higher into the mountains alone.
16 That evening his disciples went down to the shore to wait for him.
17 But as darkness fell and Jesus still hadn’t come back, they got into the boat and headed out across the lake toward Capernaum. 18 But soon a gale swept down upon them as they rowed, and the sea grew very rough.
19 They were three or four miles out when suddenly they saw Jesus walking toward the boat! They were terrified, 20 but he called out to them and told them not to be afraid. 21 Then they were willing to let him in, and immediately the boat was where they were going!
Mark 6:45-52 (TLB) 45 Immediately after this Jesus instructed his disciples to get back into the boat and strike out across the lake to Bethsaida, where he would join them later. He himself would stay and tell the crowds good-bye and get them started home. 46 Afterwards he went up into the hills to pray.
47 During the night, as the disciples in their boat were out in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land, 48 he saw that they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves. About three o’clock in the morning he walked out to them on the water. He started past them,
49 but when they saw something walking along beside them they screamed in terror, thinking it was a ghost, 50 for they all saw him. But he spoke to them at once. "It’s all right," he said. "It is I! Don’t be afraid."
51 Then he climbed into the boat and the wind stopped! They just sat there, unable to take it in! 52
