Found this one deep in the archives today. I wrote this track a while back during a long stretch of sleepless nights, capturing that exact feeling of being wide awake while the rest of the world is silent. Re-listening now brings back those raw, 3 AM vibes instantly. If you know that feeling, this one's for you.

A boom bap flip submitted for LDSR254 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette), built from that week's community sample pack.
A trippy, soul-sampled flip for LDSR254 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette) β warped chords over a hazy, off-kilter groove.
A quick balafon practice session, captured straight off an Android phone β raw and unedited.
A loose improvisation on the steel tongue drum, recorded straight off a phone β meditative and unpolished.

An early-2000s demo collab with Couzin and Joy on vocals β a glimpse into illhack's earliest production years.
bass flip for LDSR235 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette) β a rare detour from boom bap into breakbeat territory.
An LDSR234 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette) entry blending production by illhack with electric guitar from Raisa and acoustic guitar from Cedrik β a live-instrument take on the week's sample challenge.
A quick, 5MP-style beat made for STBB982 (Stones Throw Beat Battle) β about that restless stretch when finding someone becomes the only thing on your mind, looping like a broken record.
illhack's very first beat in the 5MP series β built start to finish in just 5 minutes, recorded as a demo back in 2009.
A 5MP (5 Minute Production) collab with C-Wat! and aRdJie β the beat built start to finish in five minutes flat.

A forest walk and the soothing sound of the birds are the foundation for this relaxed, downtempo track. A pure audio experience of nature.Made for STBB974 (Stones Throw Beat Battle) and LDSR227 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette).
A spooky-themed entry covering both STBB973 (Stones Throw Beat Battle) and LDSR226 (Loop Diggers Sunday Roulette) in one track β cover photo by Raisa.

"Whatever comes, comes"
On the 28th of September, after a short illness, Couzin Steve has passed away.
It was an honor, privilege to have worked with one of the best English rapping MC's from the Netherlands.
Hush Ya Mouth The "Miracle" Beat was created in 2006, but when Couzin heared the beat in 2007 he instantly knew what the subject would be.
Due to barriers in Couzin's life he finally added the hook in 2008 and "Hush Ya Mouth" was born.
There's also a video. The video was recorded, edited, produced and directed by Couzin Steve. Song itself is composed by illhack aka 5MP Lyrics/vocals by Couzin Steve Backing vocals chorus by illhack Mix & Mastering by Fabian Lenssen You can find the video @ https://youtu.be/mF1Z3UxfMHY
