Today's episode is a long one, where I take you through the process of self healing and empowerment, of dislodging beliefs and conditionings that may have held you tightly in their grip of disempowerment without you even realising it, and why it's hard and how to move through the hard phases when you find yourself unable. Hoping this offers you support today and whenever you need it. Good luck! 💛 To support the podcast, head to buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana or share this with someone.
Today's episode is an offering of solace in a state of despair and destruction, knowing that what is truly yours, what is truly sustainable, can never get away or break away. And if something does fall apart, the way to find energy to move out of the rubble is to look for that which remains whole despite the destruction, that which feels like a hidden gem or a surprising moment of grace in the thick of despair. In the end today, a stronger suggestion was to remain present in the moment by being in touch with your body and do whatever helps you find that connect. Take care of yourselves. Hello! Today's episode is represented by The Moon in the tarot and focuses on revealing hidden perceptions, beliefs, self definitions around receiving, loving and being that you may find the strength now to own and be vulnerable about, as opposed to earlier where you may have felt uncomfortable revealing these parts of yourself. Listen in and tell me how it resonates. Good luck! To support the podcast, head to buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana
Today's pulse is a call for you to situate your situation in the larger story of your life, to find small oases of rest in the middle of the desert we walk in, and to extend that to those you come in contact with. A free wheeling chat on one, acknowledging and being okay with the state of pause that you may be in considering you may be standing in a maze of options, unsure which direction to choose and two, using the pause to untangle the paths you have been on and putting them together to really see the road you have been on, are on right now, and hence where you'd like to go. I share a few questions as prompts for you to do that. Take care and have a restful weekend. As always, thank you for coming by! Hello! Here's today's pulse on approaching your sense of self and identity in social situations, from your heart and an elevated sense of self respect, instead of overthinking and worrying about how you're being perceived or misunderstood by others. It's a deep process so best thing you can do for your mind is to not force it into overthinking overdrive. Take care! Hello hello! Hello hello! I do not know if this is going to be recurring as Season Two of the podcast yet. If yes, I'd probably add more things to it for which I have a question for you at the end of this episode that I would really love for you to answer! Hit me up with your answers on Instagram (instagram.com/thedailypulse_) and of course, consider buying me a coffee at buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana while I think of more things to build this space. 💛

I think today, we are in a place to be able to choose work that not only checks all the boxes of success as is defined, but also work that is founded on our innate joy in engaging with it (considering the number of years of our being alive are given in work in its various paid and unpaid forms) and is adaptive to our changing values as well. I love when two consecutive days add up to a process. I love it cause the mind likes sequence and pattern that can be understood, but as today's pulse shares, sometimes relenting the need to understand in the moment opens doors to bigger possibilities and surprises to be revealed. Continuing from yesterday's powerful and gentle reading, today's pulse dives deeper into the logistics of assisting yourself to hold space for yourself as you undo old patterns of limitedness. Oof! Today's episode had me wanting to not write just because of how much I really have to say on all that I wanted to say today and how hard it was to condense it in a way that covers most of what is important for today. When illness is your norm, good health feels threatening and even like an illness. That's why, when dealing with situations of health in habit and behaviour, we do new things slowly, bit by bit, to get comfortable and not be repulsed by health. Sort of reminds me of Frankl's words on not removing the pressure instantly so as to protect the mind of the person from spiralling out of shock.
Today, some thoughts on learning to trust yourself with good health. To read on the blog: thedailypulse.scrollstack.com To support the podcast, buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana
When we are young, and we begin dreaming about what all we could do in our life, we are met with a moment that can either assist that dreaming, or destroy that by forcing our dreams to fit clear cut definitions, which a young person ought not to bother with really. That's how original thinking is really discouraged - when we start asking young people "what they would like to become in life" instead of "what are their hopes from their life".
The current generation of people in their 20s and 30s are in some ways the largest group of people together witnessing and experiencing the limitedness of career thinking in this fixed way that comes on the back of questions like "what do you want to be when you grow up". Today, some thoughts on disconnecting from narrow thinking vis a vis your career. Read on the blog thedailypulse.scrollstack.com To support the podcast, buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana
There is so much written about the various phases and forms of monogamous, heterosexual romantic relationships, that the very real and deeply intimate forms that friendships of all kind hold and changes that they go through are hardly articulated because friendships are deemed as 'back of the burner', garden variety background social structures, that are there when we need them, but do not somehow at the same time merit the due respect or centre stage, that they actually deserve for being the backbone so often.
Sometimes, friendships may become so comfortable and in the background existence then become so changeable that as soon as the comfort of sameness changes, one may do anything (even replace the other without knowing why) to retain that comfort, leaving with a sense of pain that then gets buried somewhere at the back.
One very real and now more spoken of example is in the changes that marriage brings to friendships of the people who get married, often leaving them barely able to grapple with, let alone find solace and sharing to evolve into the next stage of friendship. Little then is to be said of those friendships that die out with absence.
In my personal friendships as well, I have had to learn this with each new factor in my life or the others'. I have had to learn to understand the silences, as well as scrounge through a marriage obsessed world for language to articulate thought and feeling in friendships.
Today, some thoughts to validate grief that comes with evolution of the self and its impact on friendships, and perhaps finding solace in the foundation of some, while in the timing of others. (PS: this barely scratches the surface but hope it lends some ease and thought.) Read on the blog - thedailypulse.scrollstack.com To support the podcast, buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana

What is a decision? What is a good decision? Is decision making a momentary and linear activity? How do you ensure you make the best decisions?
Even with the pandemic, I have maintained that this crisis is an opportunity to really honestly examine if you (or your leaders/bosses) have good leadership skills and if not, where/how can you (they) develop them. But to be able to accept that there is scope to develop them, requires a healthy ego or humility, and often in poor leadership, this is what is missing. Change that matters, change that is significant in not just its impact and desirability but also in its magnitude, is a process that happens in such intricate layers of existence, that impatience or pessimism cannot even imagine.
There is this line I see popularly circulated on social media that goes something along the lines of "if you want different results, you gotta act differently". In theory, this seems logical and obvious and something that may invite you to say "yasss gurl", "we stan" or simply clickety click your fingers in agreement. BUT the process of "doing things differently" is so deeply layered that just the process of undergoing that transition is all that one can do on some days and as a culture, I feel we need to acknowledge that bec that simple act of acknowledgement in itself eases the stress of not being good enough or fast enough or better enough or not being there yet, considering we are a world that celebrates destinations more than the journey and in my mind, both are important.
Today, much to my surprise, I wrote about this on The Daily Pulse becoming a teacher of sorts for me too. Read more on the blog: thedailypulse.scrollstack.com

Its been 3 months of me writing on The Daily Pulse and today's post on choosing dignity at work is my most favourite title that I have written. Conversations or literature on #healing can make you feel that it is a 'one size fits all' approach or that it is linear, like going from point A to point B. On some days, it might be but largely healing is a non-linear process unique to you and your experiences in life. Today, I wrote one of my (personally speaking) most soothing posts on healing as a process along with a prompt to create a space for grounding. Many of us conditioned to live in a way that equals self abandonment. This can be in the name of responsibility towards someone else, or just a belief that in life, we have to often choose between our happiness / joy / selves, and safety / love at the hands of someone or something outside of us. Today, some thoughts on volition to move ahead, without succumbing to conditionings of having to choose between the self & (safety in) the world: https://thedailypulse.scrollstack.com/post/4522/Pulse-of-the-Day-Volition If you want to support the podcast, you can now buymeacoffee as well - buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana

Sometimes, we learn to believe and we do live in a world that reiterates this belief that to give that is to be a "good" person, it has to come at the cost of oneself, that is, it has to be a choice between us and those we may care about. However, that habit can soon become the very reason that either one may not want to give and continue to do it while seething with resentment, or what one is giving may slowly lose value in the eyes of the receiver. The word 'power' tends to evoke some very extreme emotions - it is either something that people tend to worship and covet, or something that people learn to hate, despise and vilify. But, what really is power outside of human judgment? It exists, and how can it be understood and experienced in ways that feed into creating a better, equitable and empowered world through an empowered self. Between the extremes of hyper individualism & self-abandoning relationship building, lies the beauty of interdependence that holds space for the individual & the world. That is a hard concept to digest for cultures that thrive on black and white lenses of looking at humanity and life in general. This is the same thought process behind punishment and reward based ways of raising children, teaching students, or managing employees. I like to delve into the way these beliefs work in the individual process & while the varied ways it can show up for people cannot be generalised in one post, today's post is a short debunking of this myth of life having to be this or that, me or them. Hi there, just a note, there will be no daily episodes this week. Listen to the weekly update today, and you'll know why. This week is about taking concrete unavoidable steps that truly come from your heart space feeding back into your personal power. Note, this isn't about being resentful towards something outside of you. Instead, it is a sense of detachment from anything else, to fully be connected with your heart so that you build connections outside of yourself from the seat of your personal heart based power. To follow me or enquire about personal readings, DM me on Instagram (instagram.com/thedailypulse_). To support me to continue to do this, buy me a coffee (buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana).
When you think of consciousness, your inner voice or whatever it is you see, what do you see? Do you see a static being who's a know-it-all and wise beyond your years, or do you see it as being part of yourself that's smart and wise to know that it may know some of it today, but will continue to learn new and more, and remains humbly hopeful about it? Some thoughts on that today. Support the podcast by buying me a coffee (buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana). For personal readings and daily updates, follow me on Instagram (instagram.com/thedailypulse_).
Today's card was the Three of Swords in reverse. In light of that - how do we liberate our hearts? Through forgiveness. The first person we ought to forgive? Ourselves. You can read the pulse at https://thedailypulse.scrollstack.com/post/4005/Pulse-of-the-Day-23-01-2021-Practicing-Self-Forgiveness and to support me, buy me a coffee at buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana and follow The Daily Pulse on Instagram (instagram.com/thedailypulse_).
Today's pulse captures the emotionally charged and difficult energy of accepting that to move ahead in a particular new direction, you will have to let go of something from the past in your beliefs, mindset, actions or lifestyle that you may not be too happy with, but identify a whole lot with. It is not an easy feeling, but it is empowering once you learn to accept that the power of transformation is in your hands, no matter what. Today feels like a tough day folx. Take good care. Today's episode speaks of breaking away from a life of habits, patterns and conditionings that may have got us stuck in needing instant gratification to do something for ourselves. It's a tough energy to sit with considering we have lives and business models thriving on our brain's conditioned need for that. However, today's about building grit to play the long game and even if you don't feel that right now, maybe this will help you find your way to it. Read more at thedailypulse.scrollstack.com

Today's short and sweet message deals with the mood of finding ease in leaving something behind which comes from a mindful closure as you move ahead. That requires you to be able to accept the various parts of the old (the good and the not so good) while acknowledging the changes in you and your needs, wants, desires. Read it at thedailypulse.scrollstack.com and my February calendar is open for personal readings. If you want one, write to me at thedailypulse.ss@gmail.com or DM on Instagram to book one. Good luck!
Today's pulse is a short and direct insight into what really is needed when we say that we want to do this or that, and sometimes struggle with being able to move ahead in that decision. We may seek help and that may ease the stress but what really matters is how we are working on it on the inside. Curious? Listen in! You can also read it at thedailypulse.scrollstack.com which has links to my socials as well. Additionally, I'm open for personal readings for February 2021. When we think of change (which as I share in yesterday's episode, is what this week is about), we tend to imagine movement, a complete clean cut switch. While yes that does happen but we are not as clean cut beings. We are people with many layers of thought, feeling and being and hence, a part of the change is in dealing with the untended murky waters that need our attention before we enter fresh new water. This part of change is difficult because this brings us face to face with the in-between of endings and new beginnings for which we never have a handbook. Today's pulse captures that and offers you some insight into easing in your discomfort, developing ways of working with them instead of avoiding or feeling overwhelmed by them. Today's episode deals with the transient nature of life and developing resilience in the middle of what may feel like impossibly trying times. Excerpt: "The very point of learning and growth in life is to be able to see and feel things as they are–that is what creates true resilience. When you allow yourself to feel and recall the good within you and your life, you actually cultivate strength to be able to endure the darker days that may need that ray of hope. The silver lining is always part of the cloud, but you have to see it. Don't shortchange your joys. Don't hesitate in sharing them. The world needs more of it and the more you feel it, the more you find strength in it." Find the journal prompts of the day on thedailypulse.scrollstack.com
Unsurprised to see that most of the daily posts come with thoughts on looking at today deeply or rushing through it, as the idea of a future world keeps changing shape. We are all learning to wake up to the reality of the fact that futures are never guaranteed the way we learnt to believe they were. That applies to everything - careers and money of course, but also our relationships with people at home and outside. Anyone with a good long term relationship will tell you that it is never static, it is never one way. Today's post on learning to share the work of building life in relation to others. What about the investment we made? Will that be nullified? Today's pulse speaks a little on this thing of connections that end and how the investment that we make anywhere outside us is always returned back and more. I will be taking a break from The Daily Pulse for the new years so make sure to write to me at thedailypulse.ss@gmail.com for a personal reading. "This card today asks you to stop pushing that which isn't moving, because there's a reason for it to have hit a snag. The universe with all its causes and effects, is a precise equation and nothing really happens without a reason - it just depends on whether that reason is visible to your eyes and acceptable to your mind (ego story) or not."

Up until March 2020, the way you may have introduced yourself to the world may have been along the lines of, "Hi, I am X and I do Y". Today's pulse says that this form of introduction of ourselves only as what we do to make money, is slowly getting dated. Question to ask yourself in that light: who am I besides the work that I do? How is the work that I do, an extension of who I am?

Today's pulse speaks about how we tend to shut down to our subconscious disbeliefs, living with a sense of subtle despair in possibilities. Whatever be the individual reasons, we are supported in changing that at the root so as to move through this life with greater equity, access and abundance. More at thedailypulse.scrollstack.com

In all, whatever form of love you are sitting with questions about, today's pulse is a message of approaching these questions and truths, with encouragement, appreciation and the kind of gentleness that you would lend to a friend or a little child who came to you with a wound.
