Welcome to: Reel Books. This is a project sponsored by our National Honor Society Chapter at Parkersburg High School. We’re 3 senior friends with a love for literature and movies. Each week, we will be releasing a new episode featuring a discussion on a section of the book we are currently reading. Once we finish the book, a final episode will be released comparing the book to the movie adaptation. The never-ending debate will continue; which is better, the book or the movie?
In this episode, we discuss the morality of Rick’s bounty hunting mission, John’s attempt at friendship with Rachel, and the new information we have on the androids and what makes them different from humans. We also discuss how we like the book and the author’s writing style so far.
In this episode, we introduce you to the world of Rick Deckard and the morals of his killings, John Isidore and why he was labeled a special, and Rachel Rosen and why she left the Association. We also discuss the morality of using an empathy box, Philip K. Dick’s writing style, and what we think about the genre of the book.
