Welcome to The PT Ascent Podcast. This podcast is designed with the purpose of providing a detailed prospective account of my journey as I go from a staff physical therapist to entrepreneur.
But my journey is no more important than anyone else, which is why I am also featuring other business professionals in any medical and health field to share their story as well.
I have an upcoming Mastermind event coming which is going to be chock full of learning and socializing. My marketing has been continuing with the addition of FB ads. And to top it all off, I'm started a new side passion project, a podcast called Beer Banter!
Dr. Tim Woo is a physical therapist based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He is the founder and owner of SoCal Bike PT and his mission is to help avid cyclists in Southern California who are in pain get back to training at the highest levels and doing the rides they love.
Everyone wants my money even though I may not have cash flow soon. I've gotten lots of mail from people claiming I owe them money now that I've started a business. But they are SCAMS!
Now that the business is real, it's time to level up my value. I talk about my business name finalization, my desire for telehealth mastery, and becoming proficient in providing my minimum viable product.
I made the most important decision so far of entrepreneurship. I left the safety net of my full time outpatient ortho job, and went all in on my business. Despite having some support from home health, it's now do or die for my business venture!
I've been working on as myriad of different things, which probably explains why I don't get a lot done. In any case, this past week, I've gotten back into golf, re-engaged with my audience, and started the transition to home health.
While not the most fruitful week, I did try something new and worked on my avatar as well. Creating avatars has been a real struggle for me, and later in the episode I dive into that aspect.
I always thought I had to do every little task to make my business grow... well, I was wrong. Outsourcing small jobs is a great way to help free up time that has allowed me to better focus on the larger picture.
Meditation has been around for over 2,500 years, but it has only recently been popularized into mainstream culture. Today, I talk about my experience with meditations and how you can get started today doing 5 simple steps!
This past week was tough psychologically, but some great conversations really helped turn it around. I fell into the trap of inspiration vs comparison, an obstacle that can be a powerful adversary to productivity and clarity.
