In recent days, there have been a lot of conversations about celebrity conversions in the media. How should we think when a famous person begins to publicly proclaim their newfound faith? Most recently, Kanye West has started sharing stories of his new Christian faith. Should we be excited, skeptical, or somewhere in the middle when we view these people who convert to Christianity?
Fellowship Teaching Pastor, Ben Parkinson, visits the podcast to help us think through these circumstances with a biblical lens.

People always ask us, “What kind of podcasts do you guys listen too?” Listening to podcasts is very popular right now and there are so many good ones out there. They are also a really easy way to put ourselves in a position to grow spiritually. So, we put our brains together and came up with our recommended TOP FIVE. In this episode Amy and Dan share their TOP FIVE Podcast Recommendations. These are great podcasts that you can enjoy to grow in your own spiritual journey or be encouraged in the Lord throughout the week.
Life’s a journey we were never meant to walk alone. We all need friends along the way! On the Journeywomen podcast we’ll chat with Christian leaders about gracefully navigating the seasons and challenges we face on our journeys to glorify God.
We got married because we thought we’d be better together rather than apart. So why is it so easy to feel isolated from your life-long partner? Host, author, and fellow married pilgrim, Brian Goins, tackles the relational pitfalls, from the trivial to the tragic, that move couples towards isolation rather than experiencing the real benefits that come from saying “I do.”
SHORT. FUN. TRUTH. REAL CONVERSATION ABOUT THE STRUGGLES WE FACE AND THE GOD THAT SETS US FREE.
Two episodes release each week - one episode of Jennie teaching and one interview.
Our videos are actually animated versions of much larger conversations that have been distilled into the most salient points. In The Bible Project podcast, Tim and Jon invite you into their dialogue concerning the biblical theology behind each video.
The Bible Recap is here to help! It’s a 5-minute daily podcast hosted by Tara-Leigh Cobble. This will be her 10th time reading through the Bible chronologically, and she’ll highlight and summarize that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way. The Bible Recap will not only help you read scripture but help you love reading it!

Imagine selling your home in Chenal to move to Midtown. That’s exactly what Fellowship members Myron and Clarissa did after hearing a sermon earlier in the year. God spoke to them and told them to go be on mission with what He is doing in a different part of Little Rock. By faith, they sold what was familiar and moved across the city to an area that wasn’t familiar to them. They share about how God has been working in their hearts and what this journey has looked like. Myron and Clarissa currently volunteer as part of the leadership team for Fellowship’s new Midtown campus.

This week Dan and Amy bring a new themed episode called “TOP FIVE.” “TOP FIVE” is a new themed episode from Fellowship Talks that will give you the “TOP FIVE” in a variety of topics. Our first TOP FIVE is with Dalton Shaffer as he shares his “TOP FIVE” ways to worship God outside Sunday morning. Dalton is the worship pastor for Fellowship’s Cabot campus. Dalton reframes the question just a bit and shares his “TOP FIVE” ways we can reorient our worship back to Jesus. Dalton is passionate about his worship before God and brings an excellent “TOP FIVE.”
5) Spend time with God in His word and in Prayer.
4) Serve God by serving others.
3) Live a life in a rhythm of repentance.
2) Surround yourself with community.
1) Participate in the global mission of God.
What should be our next “TOP FIVE?”

What does it mean to be an open or inviting D-Group at Fellowship? We want to be a hospitable people because we are the image of a hospitable God. Kathryn Maack and Bill Parkinson join Fellowship Talks to talk about what it means to be open to making room for new people in our D-Groups. There are many fears and challenges about inviting new people into our groups, but we want the heart of Fellowship to be that all D-Group members are free to invite others to their group. Bill and Kathryn help Dan and Amy address some of the concerns of growing and multiplying a D-Group.

We are breaking new ground with Fellowship Talks. This exciting episode comes to you in both English and Spanish! Dan and Amy visit with Fellowship mission partners Chris and Clelia Sanchez. They live and serve in Argentina at a church named Tiempo De Dios. They are not the full-time pastors at this church but play a key role and have come to share more with Fellowship about what God is doing in Argentina. Chris and Clelia speak very little English and Dan and Amy speak no Spanish, so Fellowship staff member Alfredo Alvarez sits with us to help with translations. Even in the midst of the language barrier it is clear that God is working in this church and through these mission partners. Chris and Clelia share about the culture in their city of Merlo. As you listen to this episode, you will learn about some of the challenges of ministry in their city. Will you join us in praying for the church of Tiempo De Dios in Argentina?
To learn more about the church of Tiempo De Dios, check out the Missions Guidebook (pg. 64).

Long time Fellowship member Molly Bloom joins Fellowship Talks to tell Fellowship about what has happened in her D-Group over the last year. Her group had a goal of connecting with people who wouldn’t usually come to church. Molly shares about her experience of inviting the birth mother from a foster placement that she had. Her goal was to see this woman through the eyes of Jesus and ask God for help in loving her. Through this invitation from Molly, God changed this woman’s life.

Aaron Keyes and Kathryn Maack join Fellowship Talks for an exciting episode on worship. Unfortunately for our listeners, Amy is out of town, but Dan is still here to hold things together. We talk about the Dwell conference at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock. Aaron Keyes is a songwriter, father, and teacher. He spoke at the Dwell Conference last year and is a featured speaker again this year. Dan, Aaron, and Kathryn talk about what true worship is and how families can bring worship into a normal family routine.
The Dwell Conference is March 9-10, 2018 at Fellowship Bible Church’s Little Rock Campus. You can learn more about Dwell and register for the conference here: Dwell Conference
Kathryn Maack serves as a Women’s Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church.
Aaron Keyes is worship pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Atlanta Georgia. Aaron and his band travel nationally & internationally, leading worship and training leaders. In 2008, the Keyes launched their worship school, with four students coming to live in their basement and on their tour bus for six months of "real, gritty shared-life and on-the-job discipleship."
Since then, many worship leaders from around the world have come through their home, gone through their training, and become part of their broader family, 10,000 Fathers.
Aaron has recorded five albums, the most recent being a two-part project with his band called, “Through it All.” 10,000 Fathers has released two albums, releasing the fantastic “Adventure” project in 2016.
Aaron’s heart is to restore the Word of God to the foundation of corporate worship, and to help lead the next generation of worship leaders (who lead songs) to become more biblically empowered worship pastors (who lead people).

Lance and Heather mentioned a book/study that their D group went through called “The Art of Neighboring” by Jay Pathak and Dave Runyon. You can also check out a RightNow Media Conference session by Dave Runyon called “The Art of Neighboring.”

Dan and Amy visit with Fellowship’s Benton Campus Pastor, Cody Calhoun. Cody and Jessica have been with Fellowship for five years and share some incredible stories of how God is working in our Benton campus. Cody is also an elder at Fellowship and a self-proclaimed Saline County boy. Listen and get to know Cody and Jessica as they share stories from the Benton campus and why Jessica won’t give Cody massages.
Just to set the record straight, we do love Ouachita Baptist University. Half of Fellowship’s staff has studied at Ouachita Baptist, seriously! Just giving Cody a hard time for not going there too.
If you are looking for a great college, Ouachita is an amazing place to go: https://obu.edu.

Dan and Amy visit with mission’s partner, Joel Sengoga. Joel came to Little Rock in 2014 to participate in Fellowship Associates' church planting residency. As the pastor of Divine Destiny Church in Kigali, Rwanda, Joel had a dream to plant churches throughout Rwanda. Through the residency and his partnership with Fellowship, he now has a clear strategy for developing leaders and sending them out to plant more churches.
Joel mentioned child sponsorship through Africa New Life. For more information, visit africanewlife.org.
We also talked about how to support Joel and his ministry in Rwanda. Visit fellowshipassociates.org and look under previous residents for the link to give, or you can write a check to Fellowship Bible Church and write "Joel Sengoga" in the memo line.
If you have more questions for Joel or want to send him a note of encouragement, feel to reach out to him here.

Dan and Amy sit down with Shelby Smith. Shelby works on Fellowship’s Little Rock campus as a Care Pastor. He has served on Fellowship’s staff for 18 years! Shelby came to a place where he realized he had become complacent when it came to race issues. God put it on his heart to start more conversations about race and encourage believers to step into positive, gospel conversations about differences in people. Our conversation begins by discussing Shelby’s Midweek D Group and some of the discussion that group has had around race issues.
Shelby mentioned studies by Tony Evans and John Piper. These videos can be viewed on RightNow Media. Every person who attends Fellowship is able to have access to RightNow Media. If you don’t have access and would like to have access, please email Dan Sheaffer at dsheaffer@fellowshiponline.com.

The conversation about social media was too good to only have one episode, so Dan and Amy are back with Trish White and Tyler Kemp this week on Fellowship Talks. Trish is Fellowship’s senior high women’s pastor on the Little Rock campus and Tyler is the student pastor on Fellowship’s Cabot campus.
We continue our discussion about how to parent our kids around social media. We talk about some of the boundaries that could be good for parents to incorporate with their kids. Trish and Tyler also share some of effects of social media usage that they have witnessed among their students at Fellowship. As with all parenting, when it comes to social media, parents need to remember that the focus should ultimately be on shaping the heart of their child, not just keeping them from doing bad things.
If you have more questions about how to best parent your kids and their social media, feel free to talk to any of our student pastors at Fellowship.
Meet George Butler. He is on our media team here at Fellowship and serves as a graphic designer. Thanks for playing along George!
