What does the Bible say about using common sense?
Proverbs 3:21-23: "My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them,for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble."
As believers we can get ethereal and tend to over-spiritualize things. But here in the Word of God you see that God is telling us to not lose sight of common sense!

If there is something that is blocking the promises of God, you have to position yourself to get that hindrance out of the way.
If God has already promised me healing and blessing, than it is up to me to position myself to receive those things.
There is a responsibility on our part to receive! There is always something that we need to do on our part to see that Word actualized.
If you live your life always waiting for God to intervene and place something in your lap, you will live a very frustrated Christian life.
This is where our faith in God kicks in- you must know and understand the Word!

Looking at circumstances was Peter’s cause of failure.Getting your eyes off of God’s Word will ALWAYS result in failure.
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
His Word is what enables us to live above our circumstances- above fear- above anxiety- above fear! Do not focus on the circumstance- focus on the promise!You must not waver mentally about what the outcome will be! That is where stress comes from- by wavering mentally.
