Last Sunday, Duncan preached from Acts 6–7 on the life of Stephen and what it means to be a Spirit-filled leader. He emphasized that great leaders are full of the Holy Spirit, faith, wisdom, grace, and God’s Word. He challenged the church to live with wholehearted devotion to Jesus and to allow the Holy Spirit to work powerfully through their everyday lives.
Last Sunday, our Next Gen youth members had the opportunity to share during both services, and it was a powerful blessing to hear what God is doing in their lives. They spoke on topics such as having a heart like David, abiding in Christ, how intricate is the dove, and being set on fire for God. Through their messages, passion, and boldness, it was evident that this next generation is hungry for God's presence and committed to following Jesus. Jess Ninaber preached this week on The Refining Fire of God, emphasizing the importance of repentance in maintaining the fire of God within us. God is a consuming fire, refining us until He sees His reflection in us. Holiness is not a legalistic checklist but a transformative process of surrendering to God's goodness and mercy. As we present ourselves as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1), we invite His refining fire to purify our hearts, rid us of our desire for sin, and align us with His purpose. Ultimately, following Jesus costs everything, but in Him, we gain everything.
This week, Aaron preached from a place of vulnerability and passion urging us as the Temple of God to tend to the Altar Fire of our hearts. Jesus is calling out to His bride, inviting them to return to their first love as His beloved. This message was a significant r, challenging us to rekindle our love for Christ and live as living sacrifices, continually offering ourselves in worship, prayer, and surrender.
Jess Ninaber closed out our Ephesians sermon series with an unforgettable message on the armor of God. Our true battle is not against one another but against the spiritual forces of darkness that oppose God's plan. Drawing on Isaiah 59, Paul calls us to stand firm against those powers by putting on the armor of God. This week, Aaron Ninaber continued our Ephesians series with a powerful message on the new creation reality we can live by because of Christ! Duncan Smith continued in our Ephesians sermon series this week, diving into Ephesians 4 and exploring the five-fold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher) as Christ's gifts to His body. These roles are designed to equip the saints, ensuring the healthy building up of the church under the Lordship of Jesus. The ultimate goal is to bring the body of Christ into unity, maturity, and the fullness of Christ’s stature, moving us from the old man’s ways to a new life marked by righteousness, holiness, and truth. This is a call to walk worthy of our calling, reflecting Christ's image in every aspect of our lives.
This week, Jess Ninaber continued our sermon series on Ephesians with a powerful message on grace! In Ephesians 2, Paul tells us that it is by grace that we have been saved. Salvation and grace are given freely to us, but as believers, we respond with our trust and total surrender which leads us to living lives worthy of that gift. Because we’ve been saved, we are now fellow citizens and members of the household of God. We can rest in the assurance of God’s grace knowing that we did nothing to earn it and live with our faith in action!
Aaron Ninaber kicked off our new sermon series this week on Ephesians! Throughout the book of Ephesians, Paul reveals God's plan to bring all things together in Christ- this unity is for everyone in the body of Christ. As members of God's family, our identity is secure- we’ve been adopted as His children, each with a specific purpose. Let us not to compare ourselves with others, but embrace our roles, working to build peace and love within the Church. Christ desires a united bride, reconciled to Him and known to the world by our love for one another.
We were so blessed to hear from Trevor Bien this past Sunday. He shared on the significance of the Lord's Prayer and its timeless relevance for us today. Prayer is more than a ritual- it is a daily practice that reorients our priorities and strengthens our relationship with God. The Lord's Prayer is presented as a model that encapsulates five key principles: recognizing God's holiness, seeking His kingdom and will, depending on Him for daily provision, embracing forgiveness, and relying on His guidance and protection. It's important that we make these principles a part of our daily spiritual discipline to stay aligned with God's mission and purpose.
This past week, Jess Ninaber shared a powerful message on "Dwelling Place." An altar symbolizes God's presence with us and we must be willing to create a space for Him, like the tabernacle and the temple. The Holy Spirit's presence is God's greatest gift, allowing us to have a deeper, more intimate relationship with Christ. The invitation is for us to move from visitation moments with God to habitation moments.
Duncan Smith brought a timely word this week centered around the wisdom of winning souls, inspired by Proverbs 11:30. We are called to devote our lives to spreading the gospel and living an exciting, purpose-filled life as described in Matthew 28:18-20. Our effectiveness as witnesses for Christ comes not from wise and persuasive words, but from relying on the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Through the examples of Elisha in 1 Kings 19:14-21 and 2 Kings 2:9-14, we learn the importance of faithfulness, humility, and tenacity in our spiritual journey. Let us carry the soul winner, Jesus Christ, boldly and courageously.
This week we had the privilege of receiving the word from Max Thomas. Max and his family live overseas and are doing significant work in the Middle East among refugees. Max reminded us of the nearness of God and how God is a God that comes into our mess and our sin, He's not far, He's near.
This week, we heard from four powerful GenZ preachers. We strongly believe that God is moving within GenZ and bringing unity amongst all generations. Be encouraged, challenged, and witness the Spirit of God in the next generation.
This week, Aaron Ninaber delivered a powerful message about the entitlement epidemic in our culture and its potential impact on our relationship with the Lord. Scriptures like Romans 11:35, Job 41:11, and Luke 17:7-10 remind us that God owes us nothing. Yet, the gospel's good news is that He has given us everything through His Son, Jesus. Be encouraged by this sermon to never take the gospel or God's gifts and blessings for granted. Stay rooted in a pure heart by avoiding comparison, remaining thankful, praising Him in both good and bad times, giving God credit for our victories, and being mindful of the company we keep.

Looking at 1 Samuel 30 we see how David set a beautiful example of seeking God’s wisdom and strength during difficult times. Aaron unpacks how the early disciples, once gripped by fear, became bold proclaimers of the Gospel through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This week our pastor, Jess Ninaber, preached from Matthew 28:18-20 on The Great Commission. Now, more than ever, we need to be speaking resurrection and redemption to the dead and dark places in our communities. The power of the gospel is transformative. It is not about our deeds but about receiving Christ's life, death, and resurrection. Together, let's pray, bless, and participate in bringing the good news to our community.
We had a powerful Pentecost Sunday with a wonderful message from Senior Leader, Duncan Smith, on “The Empowerment of the Holy Spirit.” While religion often focuses on what we can do for God, Christianity is about what God has done for us, particularly through Jesus’s sacrifice and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. Drawing on John 7:37-39, Smith highlights Jesus’ promise that believers would be filled with "rivers of living water," symbolizing the Holy Spirit. Jesus’ death and resurrection provides believers with the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live in union with Christ and perform acts empowered by the same Spirit. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, which can be likened to new wine that requires new wineskins. This emphasizes transformation and renewal. Embrace this empowerment and allow it to visibly change your lives and witness.

This week Pastor Aaron kicked off our new sermon series, Pneuma. His sermon, “The Necessity of the Holy Spirit” highlights the indispensable role of the Holy Spirit in every believer. In John 16, we see the kindness of Jesus to reassure His disciples that though he had to leave this earth, it was necessary so that the Helper could come. For the Spirit to descend, the Son must ascend. Holy Spirit is not merely a presence, but a person, a close friend who understands us deeply. He was sent for you and I as the body of Christ, but also for us as individuals to guide us, empower us, and reveal truth. The friendship of the Holy Spirit is necessary to our faith, and we have an open invitation to encounter Him throughout our every day lives.
This week, Jess concluded the last moments of Jesus’ time on earth before his ascension to heaven. Reading from John 21, we see Jesus standing on the shore, calling out to Peter and the six other disciples to come and have breakfast with Him. It’s a powerful story of Jesus seeking out Peter who has returned to what he’s always known and restoring him back into fellowship, forgiving him, and calling out purpose and destiny in Peter. God uses the lowest moments of our lives to reveal His greatest love for us. Despite the letdowns and shame that we carry, God wants to call us back into fellowship with Him and remind us that there is destiny after the disappointment.
This week, Aaron Ninaber, our Lead Pastor, delivered a powerful sermon journeying through the post-resurrection encounters of Jesus found in John 20. Jesus meets us in our moments of weakness, doubt, and disillusionment, breaking through our self-imposed barriers with a message of peace and assurance. Despite walking alongside Jesus, they fail to recognize him, blinded by their own preconceived notions of who Jesus should be and how he should fulfill his role as the Messiah. When Jesus broke the bread at the table with them, their eyes were opened to who he truly was. We can often be on similar journeys where we need to set aside our own expectations of how we thought our situations should be and embrace the paradoxical nature of Jesus' kingdom, where strength is found in weakness and victory in sacrifice, then our eyes will be opened to who he really is.
On Easter Sunday, we were blessed with an inspiring message from our Senior Leader, Duncan Smith, titled "Victory in the Resurrection." This sermon beautifully underscores how Jesus supplanted our human endeavors with His unparalleled sacrifice. True Christianity revolves around God's selfless act of sacrifice on our behalf. Through Jesus' resurrection, we are intricately united with Him, embarking on a transformative journey. Easter epitomizes God's boundless love, exemplified by His incarnation to offer us salvation. Embracing Jesus enables us to transcend our former selves, discovering newfound joy and righteousness in Him. This week we had the incredible honor to hear from our Community Pastor, Justin Rife, on the importance of truly knowing Jesus. If you’re hungry for more of Him, you need to be following Him and feasting at His table. Our call is to follow Him and reorient our lives around His will, to serve His body, for His glory! Take some time today and ask yourself, do I really know Jesus or do I just know about Him? The invitation to His table is open and there’s a spot just for you!
This week, Pastor Jess Ninaber opened up our Resurrection series with the truth that before we can see and experience resurrection, there must first be death. When we choose to die to ourselves, we are declaring who the true King is in our lives. This life that we live is not about us and our desires, it is about our Father in heaven, His will, and surrendering our will to Him. The practice of daily surrender and dying to self brings us closer to the Spotless Lamb, and we become more alive than ever before.
Pastor Aaron brought a beautifully convicting message this week on the power and importance of prayer. As we communicate with God through prayer, we are co-laboring with Him and there is power in our words to change worlds. Our prayers do not fall on deaf ears, He is actively listening and responding to our prayers. We serve the God of the impossible. Our Kingdom assignment is to display the works of God on the earth. Obedience to the things of God will bring unprecedented breakthrough because there is always something greater God is calling us to. Take advantage of the open heaven that Jesus has made available. Through you, people will see Jesus is we are faithful to the Kingdom life He has called us to.
Step 1: Believe you have a book of life because you are chosen and loved by God. This is your identity in Jesus. You are significant to God.
Step 2: Prepare yourself for access to the mysteries and wisdom of Heaven. Purify your heart, maintain a clean soul, and come into a sound mind. The spiritual war has been fought and won by Jesus. Hold the faith and keep a good conscience before God. Be steadfast in faith.
Step 3: Ask and command from a place of already having received it from God. Use your authority over the schemes of the devil and over what God has already given you charge over.
Step 4: Act on the instruction of the Lord. He has spoken through His word and continues to lead us through the Holy Spirit. Faith without works is dead. Nothing and no-one is holding you back.
Step 5: Persist and let us not grow weary of doing good. We have become co-creators with God for HIs great harvest.

God's care for us is beyond our ability to ask Him for it. We must have confidence in His goodness toward us. Believing is seeing. Seeing is looking to the finished work of Christ. In all of our struggles, we have to ask, can I fix my eyes on Jesus to fulfill every desire of my heart? Fear is the uncertainty that God will fulfill your need.

God is not afraid of our weaknesses; in fact, the scriptures encourage us that God’s strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. Murray concludes our Faith(FULL) series with the good news that challenging circumstances, overwhelming feelings, and discouragements are subject to change. Being made new in Christ means that we have been transformed inwardly to address our obstacles with power and love. When life hits, we center ourselves in Jesus and respond from Heaven's perspective.
As we continue our series on Faith(FULL), Jess shares about the baptism of water and fire. Being submerged under the water symbolizes that we are dead to our old self and then raised to new life in Christ Jesus. A life of obedience unto the Lord as we are filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit. We can step out in faith and boldness in our oneness with Him.
Duncan continues our series on Faith(FULL) with the liberating truth that we are no longer in bondage to the spirit of fear, but instead, God has given us a spirit of adoption. As we choose to partner with the Holy Spirit in faith working through love, we can overcome fear.
Starting our new series on Faith(FULL), Aaron preaches about being people full of faith in the face of adversity and trials. He shares the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego facing the fiery furnace. When our lives are shaken by hardships, unshakable faith comes from the Lord. He is our strength and gives us grace for the journey. Faith is stepping into His promises and favor for our lives. He is with us in the fire!
Jess encourages us to find our strength in the Lord and to be grateful for all that He has done in our lives. She shares about how we can get stuck in our past regrets or future goals, which makes us lose sight of what God is doing right now. Let us praise the Lord even in the midst of adversity and discouragement. We can choose to praise Him in the process, not just the final destination. Without Him we can do nothing, but with the Lord we can do all things.
The Lord takes us on seasons of uprooting and planting. For Murray and Ash they are in a season of uprooting. Ash shares about the transition of going from Raleigh-Durham to Toronto, and the excitement of growth for Aaron and Jess as they take on the new role as Lead Pastors. Ash explains that there is supernatural grace and acceleration to build in this season for the church. We are on an adventure to run the race. Not looking to the right or left, in comparison to others, but staying in our own lane fully fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ.
Continuing from last week’s message, Murray shares the incredible pursuit of the adventure with God. He adds keys to the adventure of loving God and loving others through position, pursuit, prophesy, and perseverance in prayer. All by the power of the Holy Spirit, who transforms us into our identity in Christ.
Kate teaches on the four keys of presence, partnership, personality, and passion. In each key, our dependence on Jesus is what transforms us to choose love and serve others. He is the one that brings us out of sin into righteousness, from death to life, pain to healing, and despair to joy. Jesus is our sufficiency. He is the adventure we have been longing for, let’s go!
Special guest, Kyle Philippi, shares about his incredible adventures of spreading the gospel to unreached people groups across the world. Kyle encourages us to be courageous to seize the moment and give of ourselves because the more you give, the more you find yourself.
Duncan concludes our Seek First series with a message about the powerful impact of loving God, ourselves, and others. When we have intimacy with Jesus, the joy found in love will overflow in all we do.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, Psalm 8:3-6 Thank you, Father, for seeing us as the light we are, not the darkness we are in. Stars shine the brightest on the darkest of nights. Your beauty is on full display in the darkest moments. You are my endless hope! The abundance of stars confirms your love for me! I can look up to the sky and smile while saying: ACTION & PRAYER Declare these words out loud: I am forever Yours. I am forever loved. I am forever accepted. I am a new creation. I am a child of the King. I am an heir to the throne. I am royalty. I am fearfully and wonderfully made! You alone are my strength and joy in every situation. You are my rock in whom I cannot be shaken!
So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ Luke 10:27 And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 The greatest of these is love. Jesus dying for us was the greatest act of love in history. We are forever free from the stain of sin. Hallelujah! He deserves ALL of our love. Our affection, devotion, and attention needs to be centered on Jesus. It is impossible to love unless we know the Father. The creator of our heart, fashioned to run on His presence. Our ability to love is impossible without Him. We are His beloved. Make sure to love who He created you to be. Do not put others first and yourself last. You are first in His eyes. You are appreciated and recognized always by Him. Love others out of the abundance of being loved by the Father. His perfect love is the catalyst to love more. A C T I O N Write in a journal things that you love about God, yourself, and others. Reach out to someone today and share what you love about them. PRAYER Lord, help us to be laid down lovers. Help us to give our all to You. Help us to love well. Help us to live a 1 Corinthians 13 kind of love. Forgive us of when we didn’t choose to love. Help us to truly love our enemies. Help us to live a life of love. Show me Your love on a deeper level. Reveal Your heart for me. Instill Your love within me. I love You, Father. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me completely and unconditionally. Help me to love like You do. In Jesus name, Amen!
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 If you are in a cycle of failure, it is not who you are. If you are in a place where there seems to be no escape it is not your home. Even if you deserve what is going on in your life, the Father does not desire that for you. There will always be trials and tribulations. It all depends on how you handle them with your attitude and perspective. Let peace overtake worry, let confidence overtake fear, and let joy overtake sadness. Cycles can never be broken in your own strength. Silence is never the solution. Jesus is the answer! He is with you in every mistake and every lapse of judgment. He will never leave you. He has defeated sin and has given us the victory. There is hope! It is never too late. Expose whatever is holding you back, repent, and pursue the Lord with every fiber, every breath, and every thought of your being. Don’t wait, just reset. ACTION It is a new year, Hallelujah. Take time to repent and draw close to the Lord. Let Him reset and refresh you for this new year. PRAYER Lord, I am sorry for all of the ways I have fallen short of following You. Help me to focus on You and to not do things in my own strength. Help me to truly rest and abide in You this year. I want to follow You, Jesus, with my whole heart!
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 We can gain the whole world and lose our soul. Materialism runs our culture, but we are called to be in the world and not of it. Where is your heart? Living for Jesus requires dying daily to the things of the world. When we sacrifice for Jesus we cultivate heavenly treasure. This treasure is not our motivation, Jesus is. He is the best gift we can ever receive. Treasure Him. ACTION Check your heart with these questions: ∙ If you could be in Heaven without Jesus would you go? ∙ What do you talk about? And how do you talk to others? ∙ Is your heart in the right place? PRAYER Lord, I give You my heart. Help me to see Your value, Jesus. Let how You treasure me, awaken my desire for You. Open my eyes to the kingdom of Heaven. Calibrate me to operate in Your will. You are worth the sacrifice!
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-11 A father loves to lavish his children with gifts. Abba wants to bless us more than we can ever ask, think, or imagine. We are blessed beyond measure. To pursue Him we need to ask where to go. To commit to His plans we need to knock with confidence. He wants to answer us with love. It might not be what we want to hear or the route we want to go, but He knows what is best. Trust Him. He is worth the pursuit. Pursue Him! ACTION Think about what to ask for, what to seek for, and what to knock for in your life. Pursue Him with whatever you come up with! PRAYER Father, give me what to ask. Give me what to desire. I am a child of God. Forgive me from any pride or arrogance that makes me think I can do everything by myself. Help me to depend on You. Help me to pursue You with my whole heart. Let this pursuit be relentless in my life. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 Why do we worry? Is it because of inadequacy, second-guessing, fear of man, or something else? The verses today hold the keys to overcoming worry. When we do not have it figured out, or it seems hopeless, just pray. Pray with a posture of gratitude and simply let the Lord know how you are feeling. Thank Him for His goodness, and His perfect leadership. Through doing all of this His perfect peace that surpasses anything you can do will cover and guard both your heart and your mind. You will be sustained by His peace and free from worry or anxiousness because you trust Him. A C T I O N Gratitude is a theme in a lot of these devotionals. Wear it like a coat. Focus on who He is and what He is doing in your life and everything else will fall into place. PRAYER Lord, you know my situation, you know what I have been praying for, and you know my family and friends that need you. Father, I trust You with all of these things that I worry about. Anything that causes me to stress, I trust You with them. Thank you, Lord for being my rock and my sure foundation. Thank You for taking care of me. Give me that peace that surpasses all of my understanding and guard my heart and mind with Your truth. Amen!
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Psalm 5:6 Let us come and feast. There is more than enough. Everyone is invited. Do not be satisfied with crumbs and drops of water. Hunger and thirst for Jesus! The one who made us righteous! He is our sustainer. The well that never runs dry. He is more than enough. Emulate Jesus to be satisfied. Pursue Him. Be His hands and feet, be His mouthpiece, be His joy, and peace. Let our affection and our devotion flow from the depths of our heart and soul. This life cultivates the destiny God placed inside each one of us. Grow us to be grounded and sustained by Your love. They will know us by our fruit. ACTION Do something today to intentionally emulate Jesus. You are Jesus to the world! PRAYER Lord, whatever I lack, I give it to You. You are my source of life. Father forgive me where I have desired things of this world and not of You. Help me to come to You with all things. Help us not to get complacent with Your presence. Increase our hunger and thirst for You! Amen!
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:38-39 The beautiful exchange. You paid the debt that we owed and now we are free. Father, the creator who designed me, knows me best. Of course, I want to know Him more because He knows the end from the beginning. I have been designed for a purpose and He wants to show me. My life is yours. I am a new creation. Renew every part of me. Worship is a lifestyle. I want to worship You with my life. I will carry my cross daily because You are worth the sacrifice! I am in the world not of it. Jesus came to save the world, continue that through me. Hope is not lost. Lord, use me! ACTION All of us can grow in a lifestyle of worship. Take a step that causes you to live in a place of deeper surrender today. Sacrifice something for Him today. PRAYER Oh Lord, here I am. Take me. I surrender my whole life and my whole heart to You. Create in me a clean heart and sound mind. Help me to be focused on Your will in my life. Demolish any distractions, idols, or lies that are holding me back from You. I want to live in a lifestyle of worship. Obliterate the fear of man and any fear that keeps me away from Your perfect love. Thank you for never leaving me. Even though what I have to give does not come close to what You deserve, I give it anyway because You are worthy of my life.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Psalm 23:2-3 You can just rest. Take a deep breath and breathe out all worry, anxiety, stress, and discomfort. Go to the green pasture with the Lord. Close your eyes and relax in His presence. Soak up the warmth of His love. Take time to truly just rest, not worry, and be stress-free. Let His peace restore your soul. Take a drink of His presence. Take a drink of living water. There is more than enough. Feast and have your fill. Abide in Him. He will lead you just like a toddler on dad’s feet. One step after the other. I am not in a hurry. Holy Spirit, lead me! ACTION Take time to abide in His presence today. Soak in His presence. Press pause on life and get restored by His love! PRAYER Yes, Lord, I am Yours and You are mine. Help me to abide in You. Wash over me. Restore my soul, which includes my mind, will, and emotions. Help me to take moments throughout my day to touch base with you. Help me to live from a place of peace. In Jesus name, Amen!
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On Earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:10 He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 Heaven lives in us because of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants to move in every moment of our lives. We are a pocket of Heaven. We are called to re-present Christ everywhere we go. There is no place that His love can’t reach. Nothing can stop us when God is on our side. ACTION How can I present Christ and be a pocket of Heaven to somebody today? Feel free to write it down on your phone or journal. P R A Y E R Father, let Your will be done in and through my life. Take away any distractions or idols that keep me from living for You. Help me to be a pocket of Heaven to somebody today. Send me somebody who needs help. Holy Spirit, help me to be aware of what the Father wants to do through me today. Use me Lord, I’m available!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Psalm 23:4-5 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 Do not be afraid, fear not, or some variation of that is in the Bible over 100 times. Fear is the opposite of love. When you really look at fear it is operating in a lack of something. Sometimes a lack of knowledge, lack of strength, and a lack of trust. Look at David and Goliath, in any normal circumstance he should have been afraid, but he had no fear because the Lord was with Him. David had to rely on God or he would have died. Trust the Father with your life. Let His perfect love complete you. Like oil from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Let the overflow of His presence distinguish all fear in your life. ACTION What is a valley that the Lord is helping you walk through? Feel free to write this down somewhere. PRAYER Lord, thank you for not giving me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Thank you for being with me through the hills and the valleys. Thank you for always preparing a way for me. Lord, give me more boldness to live for You everywhere I go!
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 The light of the world lives inside of us and sometimes we hide it. We put it under a basket or we even put a blanket over it. You are the light of the world. Everyone is drawn to the life of Christ you live. When we follow Jesus it brings us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. A light that purifies us as well as keeps us warm. Draw closer to Him. He is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, He guides us while dispersing darkness. The Father deserves all the glory, honor, and praise. Shine bright, there is nothing to hide, darkness can’t stand the light of the world. ACTION Be the light of the world by delighting in Him. Let that joy be your strength to impact somebody around you today. PRAYER Lord, I am a vessel of light. Nothing can contain this marvelous light. Help me to shine to everyone despite my preferences. Give me an uncontainable joy that empowers. I am strengthened by this joy. Help me to hold nothing back and follow Jesus with everything. In Jesus name, amen!
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalms 100:4 Come on through. You are welcome in His presence. The veil is torn forever! We have total access to the Father in Heaven. Take the road less traveled. It is so worth it! Enter with thanksgiving and praise. He is worthy to be acknowledged and worthy to be adored. Show people the way. You are a leader. Your life is a lighthouse that brings people to the Kingdom of Heaven. ACTION Take time to write down a few things that you are thankful for. In addition, use this list and praise God out of a place of gratitude. PRAYER Thank You Father for leading me on the narrow path. Thank You for giving me complete access to You. Instill in me a greater sense of belonging. Thank You that I am always welcome. Help me to stay steadfast. Help me to be a light to others. In Jesus name, Amen!
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.“ Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 Go. I have filled you with an all consuming fire that cannot be contained. I have kindled people’s hearts that need your flame. Be the spark, I will be the oxygen. I have put you in the environment you are in for a reason. When you change the thermostat the whole room notices. God wants you to walk with the presence that changes the atmosphere only because you are aligned to Him. People will notice His presence. The Holy Spirit will change lives through you. Make it a lifestyle. Bring your overflowing well to the hurt and broken of this world. Just one drop of My love will radically impact people’s lives. Take the first step, be bold, and I will do the rest. I want faithful, laid down lovers of my presence. ACTION Go to your areas of influence and be the change you want to see in the world. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit. You can do this! PRAYER Lord, send me, I will go! Help me to make this a lifestyle. I want to operate in the Kingdom of Heaven everywhere I go. Help me to seek you in every situation and opportunity. Help me abide in You so much, that my environment has to change. Amen!

Psalm 27:4 Everything is available, take what you want, My home is your home, My child. The door is always open. Come closer, find Me, I am worth it. Oh Lord, Your house is home to me. Let my desire be to dwell in Your house. I am accepted and welcome in Your presence. I do not want a visitation, I want a habitation. All the days of my life I want to seek Him, dwell in Him, and behold His beauty. ACTION Take time and enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Go and dwell in the house of the Lord. Let His presence feel like home. Behold his beauty. PRAYER Abba, increase my hunger. Increase my desire to be with You. Help me to see Your beauty. Help me to focus on You. Eliminate all distractions. I want to seek You and nothing else. Help me to see You rightly. In Jesus name, Amen!
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Matthew 6:31-32 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 A shepherd protects, feeds, and guides his sheep. Our Father is the perfect shepherd in our lives. He will leave the ninety-nine just to find you. Relax, everything will be okay. Our desire to want is pointless after we know Him. He knows everything we need and wants to take care of us. Just like the sheep in a pasture, He also protects us from wolves. The wolves in our lives steal our joy, trap us in our past, and keep us in a constant state of fear. These wolves are powerless because He is always with us, in our midst! He is there to bandage our wounds and to pick us up when we fall. He will never leave us, let Him shepherd your life! ACTION What are some things that you want that you can give to the Lord? That you do not have to worry about because He already knows and wants to help you. PRAYER Lord help me to not worry, help me to trust you in all things. You lead my life perfectly. Thank you for being with me in everything and meeting my needs. Lord give me Your perfect peace to conquer this day. That no matter what comes against me, I am safe in Your arms.
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Matthew 6:9 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:13-14 Abba, I belong to You. Thank You for being my perfect Father. Thank you for supporting me like nobody else. Thank You for forming me with absolute perfect intentions. I am loved by You. Holy and majestic are Your ways. I exalt You, Father, over every single thing in my life. You are worth my adoration, my time, and my life. ACTION What are some areas that you can surrender even more to our perfect Father? Feel free to write them down in your journal or phone. PRAYER Father, I trust You. Help me to depend on You in all of those areas. Give me the strength to acknowledge You in every situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:12-13 We owe God everything because he paid our debt in full through Jesus Christ. Everything we have done or will ever do has been forgiven. The Father does not hold any grudges. It is forgiven. The only thing we are called to do in the Lord’s prayer is to forgive others. This forgiveness should be grounded in us so much so that it naturally flows towards others because of our love for Him. He is our protector and our deliverer. If we ever feel trapped, He will save us. He holds all power and the enemy has been defeated. ACTION Take a minute to thank God for everything that He has forgiven in your life. In addition, if there is any unforgiveness, take some time to address that and forgive. PRAYER Father, I owe you my life. Forgive me for anything I have done that goes against your design for me. Bring to mind people that I need to forgive. Help me to be quick to forgive. Thank you for your protection over my life. You have delivered me from the snare of the enemy and I am free to live for you!
But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6:6 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 Countless times Jesus left the disciples to go spend time with His Father. Our Father wants to spend time with you. He values you so much that He wants to hear what you have to say. Create space to spend time with Him. Even if it is for a couple of minutes it is worth it. Our lives can be very busy. We tend to fill ourselves with all forms of entertainment and dialogue. And through all of that, the Father wants your undivided attention because He is so in love with you. Draw near, He is waiting. ACTION Take some time today and seek the Lord in your secret place. He wants to meet you there! P R A Y E R Father forgive me when I have used busyness as an excuse to not spend time with you. Lord help me make time to spend with You. Help me to prioritize You Lord today. Holy Spirit, keep me accountable. In Jesus name, Amen!
Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35 Jesus, you satisfy me. The things of the world do not compare to You. You are my source of life. I need you daily. I cannot get through my day without You. Give me everything that I need to sustain myself for today. You give me a joy uncontainable and a love unstoppable. Fill me up until I overflow. You satisfy my soul. Help me to not be content with the bread of yesterday, and never grow tired of what you are giving me. Bring me deeper into the depths of Your love. If this day is daily bread let me delight in You, every moment. A C T I O N Take a moment and be still before God and ask Him what He has for you today. PRAYER Lord, thank you for giving me life. You are my sustainer. You are all I need. Holy Spirit, fill my cup until it overflows. Help me to permeate Your presence. Renew, recharge, and revive me oh Lord. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you Matthew 6:33 Your love for the Father is directly connected to your desire to seek Him. You cannot grow in love with somebody if you do not know them. Seek Him first in all things. Ask Him first in every situation. The Father wants to show you where to go as well as make sure you are prepared for the journey. No need to worry, His ways are higher than our ways. The Father knows what is best. Be relentless. You will find Him. There is no end to the depths of His love. Let Him wash away all worry and give you trust that is anchored in Him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, ACTION And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 What has got in the way of just wanting Him? What can you do to seek Him first today? PRAYER Father all I want is You. Help me to seek you first in everything. I do not want You to be the last resort in my life. Help me to trust You with all of me. Anywhere there is pride or arrogance, humble me oh Lord. I want to live for You in complete trust and surrender.
Jess begins our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting and sermon series, “Seek First”. The presence of God is no longer a location, but through Jesus, we are now temples of God, dwelling places of His presence. The call for us is to Seek First the face of God and His Kingdom.
Ash preaches from the Christmas story and the promise of Jesus Christ that was delivered to this earth. Mary had an opportunity to say “yes” to the call of God for her to carry and mother Jesus. In the same way, God has given promises to us that we have a choice to say “yes” to and walk in them. We too, are promise carriers, we carry Jesus to the world.
Through Jesus, we carry a portion of His inheritance. Jesus came to redeem God’s blessings to humanity and reestablish a new family with Him. God’s purpose and legacy for us is that we would know Him, love Him, and love the world so that we can come into the inheritance that has always been destined for us.

Leading up to Thanksgiving, Jess preaches on Maturing In Gratitude. Through scripture she describes different levels of gratitude, that as we mature in our understanding of them and practice our thankfulness, we can grow in our faith and strength in the Lord.
Duncan preaches out of Acts 13 and distinguishes the differences between the Jerusalem church and the Antioch church. Catch The Fire Raleigh-Durham has been called to be an Antioch Church that sends out and deploys people into their next steps and journey with the Lord. Transition is not always easy but when we are listening to the voice of The Lord, there will always be fruitfulness.
Jonathan preaches out of Luke 15 and The Prodigal Son. The main question is who should have gone out looking for the younger son? In this culture it should have been the older brother. However, through the Parable, Jesus shows us that He is our older brother, and coming to look for us came at a great cost to Him, it costed Him His life. Jesus has come to find us both in our successes and our failures, and He leads us to the Father.
The gospel is an invitation to step deeper into relationship with God and not to remain complacent where we are. Duncan encourages us to consecrate ourselves, laying our lives down before God, giving our everything to Him as He’s given His everything to us.
There are many voices that we can listen to: theories, opinions, culture, and our own values, but we are called to listen to Jesus and love the word of God. As we listen to the word of God, it becomes part of us, leading us into all truth.
Ericka charges us to remember our true identities and to remain firm in who we are. God wants us to walk in freedom and nothing makes the enemy more afraid than believers who stand in their true identities and walk in their God-given authority.
Through Jesus, we have been given the strength to continually walk in forgiveness, saying no to bitterness and resentment. Aaron reminds us of the sobering yet, invitational reality of what Jesus says about God’s urging for us to walk in forgiveness and the keys to our freedom that can be found in being obedient to this call.
We live in a society that says we don’t need one another but God calls us to live in radical connection. He’s calling us to an upward, inward, and outward journey where we are hungry for God to crash in and transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
Jonathan expounds on Luke 12 and encourages us to be good stewards with the resources that God has given us. To grow in wisdom on what God’s heart is for us and His kingdom when it comes to finances and possessions. We can walk in the revelation that generosity and abundance are important to the Lord and His desire is for us to walk in both.
Ash reminds us of the importance of dealing with the issues of our hearts and always returning to love. She shared the story of Mary and the alabaster jar of perfume to illustrate demonstrating love, no matter the cost. There are so many opportunities in our lives to live in offense and opposition towards one another, but we are called to walk in love.
Jess preaches from the Parable of The Sower in Mark 4 and the responsibility that we have to steward the seeds (the words) that God has given us. She discusses the different types of soil that our seeds may fall on and how to keep our hearts fertile soil to receive the words of God for our lives.
Murray continues his mini series on “Knowing Your Calling”. Stepping into our calling is an invitation from God and it’s through His grace, that we have been given through Christ, that we can walk it out. God also invites us into unity as The Body of Christ, and we maintain that unity through the spirit of peace.
Reggie encourages us that we have access to the refreshing that comes through Jesus Christ and the power of the cross. We need to have a mindset shift, not to just be in wonder of God, but in worship of God. If we don’t focus our mindset on the wealth we have in Christ, we’ll miss the mist-the strength and fullness we have in Him.
As believers, we each have spiritual gifts and are called to express them and disciple those around us, bringing together The Body of Christ. Our platform is not for just the church context, it’s for our spheres of influence and where God has planted us to fulfill His calling and destiny that He’s given us.
God turns our tragedies into trophies of His grace. As believers, there are going to be obstacles that we are going to face, but we can't build muscles without resistance. It's through overcoming with Christ that we grow in our faith and our wisdom. How we respond to those testing moments in our lives defines us and our maturity in our wisdom and understanding of the goodness of God.
Rochelle charges us to embrace “climate change”, embracing the shift of what God is doing in our lives and where He is taking us in the next season. God wants to partner with us in every season of our lives, whether we are in “harvest” or in the “desert”, because there is purpose in every moment. Give us eyes of discernment, Lord, to see what you are doing and when.
Murray continues Aaron’s message, reminding us of the importance of keeping our hearts healed and whole. When tragedy and hardship happens, or when people wrong us, we are invited by the Lord to walk in forgiveness and pursue wholeness and the healing of our hearts. He challenges us to evaluate our hearts and deal with the issues in them, removing any blockages between us and God, and moving forward with Him in wholeness.
Aaron challenges us to look at our perspectives. Are we comparing our lives to others, looking at what we don’t have, rather than all that we have been given? Instead, we are called to live lives full of gratitude. When we change our perspective to thankfulness, we go deeper into the heart of God.
On Independence Day, Duncan preaches about us being “in dependence” with God and with one another. He highlights the importance of us gathering as a community of believers to worship God, serve one another, and then go out and serve our cities and our world.
Patricia challenges us to remember the importance of Peace. We are called to pursue peace and lay down the things in our lives that hinder us from truly experiencing the peace of the Lord. The Shalom of God is the complete peace that we can live in even in the midst of chaos and despite our circumstances.
Using Revelation 21, Jonathan brings a message of hope on this Father’s Day. As we look forward to all pain in our lives coming undone with Jesus’ coming, we see he is already making all things new now and calling us His. In knowing we are His today, we can live as fully known and loved, living out our truest identities.
John preaches on the highlight of history: the return of Christ for His bride. John explains why the return of Christ and the events leading to His return need to be a high priority in our faith. He encourages us to keep watch and to be intimate with the Lord
Duncan uses the differences of Esau and Jacob to show that God has a desire to collaborate with us rather than us walking in our own independence. We are called to live in a place of “love needs”, depending on the Lord and one another.
Josh and Olivia Muse, missionaries and leaders of Kaleo International, weave their own personal stories and testimonies of God’s call on their lives and share about the power of the Holy Spirit working in us and through us. Our obedience speaks the language of love to God’s heart and compels Him to move in our lives.
Jess preaches on Pentecost Sunday about the fulfillment of the Father’s promise to us, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit we receive power to preach boldly the good news of Jesus and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth.
Murray begins our sermon series with the Father's promise to us, The Holy Spirit. Jesus said it was better that He ascended to heaven so He could leave us with The Holy Spirit. In The Spirit, we become fruitful in our lives and righteousness and justice is established through us here on the earth.
In a season and year of disconnection, Ash reminds us of the importance of remaining connected to one another, choosing love over isolation. Through Jesus’ example of creating room at the table for us, we can also extend room at our tables for others.

Duncan and Kate continue our series on The Gospel by revealing the fullness of the gospel through Jesus creating a way to The Father. When we receive Jesus as our Savior, we are not only born again, but we are also born into the family of God. God is our perfect Father who desires a relationship with us and wants to know us deeply. All we have to do is invite Him to draw near.
J.T. Thomas uses old relics to demonstrate the importance of laying down the things that have hindered us from love and instead, put on new robes of righteousness. God wants to purify a people with clean hands and pure hearts to ascend up to the Hill of The Lord and walk with Him. Through the reconciliation of all things, God is going to give us divine grace to surrender and a song in us that will rise even out of the most challenging places of our lives.
On Easter, Sunday Duncan explores the revelation of “Oneness”. On the cross, as Jesus took our sin, shame, and sickness upon Himself, He became one with us. When He died, we died with Him, when He was buried, we were also buried, and when He rose from the dead, we were raised with Him. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, there is nothing that can ever separate us from Him because we become One with Him.
Murray and Ash share the story of Jesus’ journey to, through, and from the cross. After His death, there was the three-day waiting period. We can find ourselves in that same space, the in-between, waiting on the fulfillment of the promises for our lives, maybe even after experiencing a “death” or disappointments. But there is hope and resurrection for us, that can only be found in Jesus.
Using staggering statistics and book references, Patricia gives insight into the epidemic of “busyness”. God thought that rest, The Sabbath, was important enough to keep it in The Ten Commandments and as His people, we are called to follow it also. Practicing rest in our lives and intentionally entering into “quiet” brings us back into the rhythms of God’s grace, a place where we can hear Him, encounter Him, and be with Him easily as we remove all distractions and hindrances.
Jonathan reminds us that Jesus’ promise to us is that there is never a burden, worry, problem, or situation too big for Him. Through Matthew 11 we see Jesus’ invitation for us to become like little children and draw near to Him, for He will give us rest and he will carry our yokes and burdens with us. In Him we can find true rest for our souls.
We were made to live in union and communion with God. Murray reminds us to tend to our “garden” and allow the Holy Spirit to encounter us as we rest in His presence, read His word, and worship Him. Out of this place of communing with Him, comes fruitfulness and multiplication that will overflow to the people around us.
Through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, He has given us an all-access pass to heaven. We can stand in confident assurance in His presence and in the heavenly places. Murray challenges us to look at our lives and evaluate where our confidence comes from as he reminds us there is only one place our confidence should come from-the blood of Jesus.
Kate charges us to remind ourselves of the promises of God that have been spoken over our lives. That just like Jesus was tempted in the desert, we too will be tempted to forget the truth of who God is, what He’s done for us, and what He has in store for us and our futures. God doesn’t promise that we’ll avoid hardships, but each difficulty gives us an opportunity for a deeper encounter of His love and His goodness. In our weakness, He is strong.
We can talk about the love of God but if we don’t experience it, it would be nothing. Love is meant to be experienced. Murray invites us to drink in the love of God, that all that we need for our lives, our families, our jobs, etc. can be found in Him.
Duncan parallels the parable of the Prodigal Son to our Heavenly Father giving His “bios, His life, to us through His son, Jesus." Not only did the father in the story give his belongings to his sons, but he imparted his ways, his wisdom, his life. In the same way, God, our Father, instills in us His ways and the values of His kingdom. Duncan expounds upon the principles of returning, sowing, giving, and lending and the importance of them in The Kingdom of God.
Ash dives into 1 John where the love of God is revealed to us throughout the scriptures. In the same way that God displayed His love to us, we are called to do the same to the people around us. The love of God cannot be confined by us, it’s meant to be given away and poured out freely. As Isaiah cries out, “Lord, here I am, send me.”, may that also become the cry of our hearts. His love is for the world.
Duncan walks us through one of the greatest values in the Kingdom, walking in forgiveness. As people in our life hurt us, there will always opportunities for us to choose mercy over judgment and grace and forgiveness over bitterness and unforgiveness. As we choose these things, we reflect the heart, character, and nature of God.
Murray applies the prophetic words spoken over us and our church body and continues the charge to us to press in for more of God. He encourages us to dedicate and surrender our lives to the Lord; dedicating our time, our finances, our successes and failures, our possessions and our relationships. As we honor God and dedicate our lives to Him, He fills us with more of His glory and power, and releases to us miracles, signs and wonders, prophesies, and more. There is always abundance for us in the Kingdom of God.

David is the Lead Pastor of ACC, serves as the Director of the FPF Missions Base, and leads our ACC Board. David began serving in leadership as a teenager in a local youth ministry in Fredericksburg known as Mars Hill. After graduating from UMW he has been in full-time ministry since 2005, later as a leader on the team that launched FPF in 2009, and that later planted ACC in 2014. God wants to do more for you than you can ask or imagine. Whatever you ask in prayer believe and you will receive.
We can know truth and yet continue to walk as if it is not true in our lives. Why does all truth not set us free? Misconception is we treat truth as something I can do and something I can't do. Rules and regulations.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world he gave his only son for robots......... this is not the truth. The truth is he gave his life for humans. Humans have a choice to Choose God or not to choose him.
