Early on, Geri and her husband experienced God’s love firsthand through a pastor who cared for them deeply. Now, she extends that same love to our resale employees, volunteers, customers, and residential ladies. From her struggle with drugs to losing custody of her children, DeeDee speaks about how good God has been in setting her free from addiction and restoring her family.
In our last episode of the season, Brady and Sarah chat with Jennifer McGaha, the founder of Alabaster House, a recovery center for women in the Easley area. Jennifer’s story is one where you can see the Lord’s sovereignty in it all. From drug addiction, jail, and homelessness to prostitution and abuse, the Lord has never left her side. This week, Brady and Sarah sat down with Ashley Barksdale, who is a staff member at 5 Point Church, located in Easley, SC. You may have seen her leading at our Nights of Worship here at The Dream Center! Ashley shares her story of growing up in Italy and all the challenges of moving to the United States. From Visa issues to uncertainty of a job, lots of waiting, and choosing to have faith in God’s plan, her story is beyond encouraging. Ashley reminds us that things won't always happen how we want them to, but when we choose to have joy in the waiting, it will be better than we could have imagined. His way is truly the better way. This week, Brady and Sarah welcome Alison Roller to the Stories of Hope Podcast. Alison is our Education Coordinator at our main campus and has been with us since the beginning. She has been instrumental in the growth of this organization, guided by her faith. Alison shares her story of faith, particularly during difficult times. Transitioning from two incomes to none while having a newborn tested her faith, and she had to rely on the Lord’s promise to care for her family. Additionally, when facing a health scare, Alison confronted hopelessness and chose to keep her eyes on God. It is often in the small things and moments of hope deferred that we grow the most. Her story is incredible, and you do not want to miss it.
Sonya Thompson is our incredible manager at the Greenville Resale store. On this week's episode, Brady and Sarah sit down with Sonya as she shares her story of abuse in her childhood, her involvement with a gang, two painful abortions, and how the Lord has truly healed it all. Charlie Schultz is our amazing truck lead here at The Dream Center. He shares his story of a difficult childhood, struggle with drug addiction, a broken family, and a stroke that actually saved his life. The Lord never stopped pursuing Charlie and used his children to bring him to faith. Charlie's story is powerful and so moving; it will bring you to tears!

In this pre season episode, Brady sits down with Chris Wilson and Lou Koon immediately following the second annual Upstate Suicide Prevention Training. The Dream Center is so thankful to be able to host this training and support the battle against the 2nd leading cause of death in South Carolina. Lou shares the reason why he trains people in suicide prevention for a living and how thankful he is someone asked him "the suicide question."

S5:E5 Adora Emery plays an important role in the lives of our Opportunity Village residents every day. Her heart for people comes from her love of the Lord and her understanding of His love for her. Adora’s struggle with community and finding her purpose in God is incredibly inspiring because she tackles it head-on, with the Father leading the way. She lets Him be her comfort, her support, her friend, and her everything. Her story is beautiful and will leave you feeling encouraged.
S5:E4 Alyson Rainey, an Opportunity Village graduate, shares her amazing testimony of how God pulled her out of a ditch and placed her in His kingdom. Her battle with drugs, homelessness, and hopelessness was no match for the goodness and sovereignty of God. Alyson will bring you to tears with her excitement about how God can heal ANYONE. All they have to do is call on Him.
S5:E3 Audrey Shaw, the Executive Director at the Anderson Pregnancy Clinic, has an incredible story that shows nothing is impossible with God. She used to struggle with addiction and the emotional trauma of having an abortion. Now, the Lord has gifted her the opportunity to help other women in the same situation. Audrey is currently living faithfully in the sovereignty of God.
S5:E2 Rebecca Cockrell is one of our incredible resale store managers. She shares her battle with mental health and suicidal thoughts. Rebecca used to have a dark outlook on life and herself, but the Lord has given her a new life, new confidence, and a beautiful purpose in life. Her story perfectly demonstrates God's kindness and intentionality with His children.

Through a battle with a rare sickness, moving across the country, being the first person in his family to be born in America, and how he has launched his own non-profit that is focused on the Kingdom.
