“Such a psalm may be wept over, absorbed into the soul, and exhaled again in devotion; but, commented on- ah! Where is he who having attempted it can do other than blush at his defeat?” (Spurgeon on the Psalms, 3).
I would be tickling myself if I said this is a full exposition on Psalm 51. These are just some thoughts I've had on this Psalm over the past year.
There is victory over sin and the way is through brokenness in response to what Christ has done.

Gertrude has shared the gospel with an African king, translated much of a concordance into Zulu, and taught many people about Jesus Christ. Gertrude is not short of an amazing bio but what is even more amazing is how she loves and trusts God. No matter where she has lived- she sees purpose and meaning through it because the beauty of Christ. Missions exists because worship doesn't.
