Sandhill FWB Church desires to set the standard for 'Living Christ to people, and Loving people to Christ.' Through the biblically based sermons from Sandhill, we pray that you will be challenged, encouraged, exhorted. We believe that absolute truth from God's Word is still obtainable and still His plan for the church, the Christian, and the lost and dying world.
On today’s episode this week we are looking at what life would look like if we boldly proclaimed God is with us.
Considerable Quote:
"Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace,
so sure and certain that the believer would stake his life
on it a thousand times.”

We all have a calling. God puts us together to form the team He wants. We are made similar by the Word of God.
Patience in the New Testament is steadfast constancy and endurance. In our patience possess ye your souls. Through all the trials and discouragements, we must be steadfast and enduring.
Scripture clearly teaches that everything revolves around Jesus. That being clear, we should make all things in life about Jesus. Everything that is not about Jesus in life is vain.
Jesus came to be our savior and our guide. Without Jesus guiding us we will not understand how to live the Christian life.

We are to mature as Christians. Take an honest look at yourself and evaluate your own maturity
We can live a victorious life and Biblically we will live victorious knowing nothing can separate us from Christ.
Jesus cares about our heart When we believe in our heart it changes everything. Head knowledge nor a feelings are sufficient we must have a heart for God
How do we find out God's plan for our life? Scripture is clear that we don't see what God is doing. God uses all the issues of life to reveal His plan, mixes them together and molds us into HIs image
Keeping and caring for a Styrofoam cup seems ridiculous to most people. However, many people invest so highly in their flesh-filled lives that they forget the hard truth that our lives are meant to be disposable. Join Pastor Garry as we continue through Romans chapter 8.

Often we convince ourselves that witnessing and evangelizing is an unrealistic expectation. Just as Jesus asked the disciples to feed the multitude, witnessing is meant to be a passing on of what Jesus places into our hands. Though the disciples could not feed the people, Jesus supernaturally provided for the people's needs. It takes God to save a lost soul, not man.

Freedom, though given freely, does not come free. This is true both in our Nation as men and women fight to protect our beloved freedoms found in the land of the free, but spiritually there is a dire need for those willing to rise up and fight for the freedom we have. Often we want to be used by God and to experience His glory, yet the Bible tells us that there is a process required in order to be usable and in His presence. Just like the staves which held the ark of the covenant in Israel, Christians are made of unimpressive material, we endure a process of being cut down, yet the final product is experiencing God Himself.

Christians are in a daily spiritual battle like never before. Yet the truth is, instead of keeping our guard up and remaining in the fight, often we deny we have battle wounds at all as we spiritually bleed out on the battleground. Yet, as believers we have the ability to know God's Truth, and deny the war wounds of the battle- as we shake off what the enemy throws our way.

Men are seldom the gossip type, we don't cry over hurt feelings when we're done wrong. Instead, we're more...file type people. Many parents have found themselves in the uncomfortable place of having to decide exactly how they will raise their children. More often than not we read of the straight and narrow as a beckon for believers to live the absolute best that they can in order to make it to heaven. How can we boldly stand against all wide and winding paths that lead to destruction?

If your wife, or your family, or you yourself have a problem- as a man you're going to do everything in your power to try and fix it. Yet, we find that God's original plan for man was not that we would provide for the needs of our family, but that we would supply what God provides for our family. Or in other words- men are called to be the middle man- between God and our families.

In the Old Testament we find God directing His people to wage war on evil and heathen nations. In order to do so, Israel would become trained and equipped for the battle that lied ahead. We may no longer wage a physical war as God's people today, but certainly we are surrounded by spiritual attack on every side. Yet, God's plan was that just like Israel of old, we would be well trained and equipped to overcome our defeated foe.

Men, are you happy with the results you're receiving at the investment of your life? Too often men of God are considered to be 'ME Centered Men' instead of 'HE (God) Centered Men,' and the results are rank. Time after time again we make the terrible trade of our flesh, for His Spirit.

Too often Christians allow verses given by God to encourage us, to actually bring us down. We excuse away scripture that tells us to 'be perfect as He is perfect', because our lives lack perfection. Yet, if we take the entirety of God's Word we find that each of our lives are made up of more than we may think. We each have a body, a soul, and a spirit - and it's up to us which is in control.

The people of God have always had the tendency to listen to God, without hearing God. As Israel prepared to take the promise land, 12 men listened to God guarantee Canaan- yet only two of men heard God. God created men in His likeness and image. Yet, too often as men we are guilty of looking at God in ourselves, and turning away and forgetting what He's like as we go about living life our way. Whenever injustice remains, when mercy is neglected, and when men are prideful -we fail to reflect the image of God that we were created in. When the defenseless are not defended and the helpless lack help, we are revealing a poor reflection of our God.

Where once the most well known verse in the Bible was John 3:16, now more people know Matthew 7:1 as we tell one another to 'Judge Not!' Yet, is there a place for righteous judgement AND compassion in the life of a Christian? Are we willing to put down our stones, yet still uphold God's Word?
God loves ordinary people, in fact He prefers them. Because through ordinary people, God can receive true glory. Ordinary people tells the onlooking world that Christianity is not about us, but it is all about Him!

Abundant life or awful life? This is the choice that each person ultimately will make. It is the desire and intent of God that each person would live a life in pursuit of Him and His ways. This is truly to only way to have a clean conscience.
Church is often filled with man generations, cultures, backgrounds, beliefs, denominations, and so many other segregating separations. When a church focuses on what divides them, as Jesus says, the house cannot stand. Yet, if a church will set aside it's differences to unite on one single mission, great things can be completed for the glory of God.
If you are a Christian man, someone is watching and following your life. What if there were a way to never lead those following astray? What if the secret to being a father worth following were to be a son willing to submit. In all of His vast wisdom, God chose the relationship of a Father and Son to define the rolls of God and Jesus. And this is the precise model that Jesus sets forth; A Son willing to Submit to The Father worth Following.
Should the gospel be a one time entry which is used simply to save a believer from Hell? Or did God intend for the gospel to have a continual work in our lives by saving us each day? There is more reaching aspects of the gospel than the cross, the tomb, and heaven- The Gospel was meant to be a part of every day life for the Christian.
There is no such thing as a happenstance Christian. Every believer has a calling that God specifically has placed upon their life. Is it possible to have a confidence in the cause of your calling and to recognize the reason you have been placed where you are?
Jesus knows us too well to believe us at our word. He sees right through our prim and perfect Sunday best. He knows us intimately by experience. Why seek Ye Jesus? Not every answer to this question is accepted by Christ. In fact, only one answer will do last.
Possibly more than ever before in our lives, Christians need stability. James tells us that a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways. But how can a person become stable? What does it take to live a life of stability?
As long as there has been a church, there have always been differences in beliefs. Some strongly upheld beliefs have faded with time, while others still remain. Yet, what never fades and will always stay the same is the truth of The Word of God. Through His mighty provision God has preserved His Word eternally for man to know and build their life upon.
In Ephesians 5 The Apostle Paul gives an analogy which will forever challenge godly men; be the savior to your wife as Christ is to His bride. It was God's intent that men should provide, protect, and preserve the body which has been entrusted to their care. Are we willing to treat those who make up our spiritual body with as high of respect and care as we do our own physical bodies?

The question which has perplexed mankind through out all of history; is Jesus Truly God? This is the most important question of all. If Jesus is God, we better pay attention and obey His Word, and if He is not God - then we better find out Who is.
When it comes to finances, many people find great comfort in a full savings account, knowing that if financial tragedies occur they have security. The year 2020 has left many believers in a vulnerable state. However, for those who have found themselves investing in a spiritual savings account of faith, assurance is sure.
No one can deny that 'church' looks different this year. Whether you attend a church which worships online, in person, in a parking lot, or in a home- there is one factor that should remain. For thousands of years, even since the days of the Old Testament Tabernacle, believers have been united by a desire for church. Have you allowed your desire to fade during 2020? Can you truly admit that you are glad when they said "let us go to the house of the Lord?"
Joshua is one of the mightiest men of the Bible who was found full of resolution. Even though many picture this leader as a strapping soldier, the Bible describes him as only a humble servant. What was required of Joshua in order to become a mighty man of resolution?

In one of the most difficult years in a lifetime, often the church faces set backs, struggles, and surmounting difficulties. Many may question whether this is a time to relent, ease up, or ensure that we are meant to go on. Yet, tough times will inevitably follow the work of the Lord. Just ask the Apostle Paul.
How did we get here? The same question that plagued Israel in the days of Isaiah plagues our nation, our churches, and our families at present day. In a year which has upset the normal and comforts of churches everywhere, it's time to start having church on purpose. The days of passively going through the motions and complacently sitting in the pews are past. It is time that we get back to the Bible and have church God's way.
As Christians we will not remain close to God by accident. In fact, it takes being intentional with your relationship with Him in order to grow closer to Him. Are you passionately perusing Christ or placentally passing on closeness with Him?
What if there were a way to be stable, solid, unshakable, and steadfast in your faith? The closer to Christ we remain, the further from the tipping point we become.
Why are so many Christians lacking joy, peace, and contentment? Why have so many Christians lost their song and their smile? Could it be, that we have forsaken The Living Well, for broken and stale cisterns?
Do you want your problem to be fixed? This is the question Jesus asks the crippled man at the pool of Bethesda, and it's the same question Jesus asks each person who has ever come to Him since. Will you accept the fix of faith that Jesus offers, or will you say "No Thanks"?
Who we claim to be and what we say we are often is contradicted by our actions and how we live our lives. You may say you are a good Christian, you may even believe it yourself- but are you from the wrong side of the tracks? Are your actions, your lifestyle, your choices contradicting who you claim to be?
Most Christians desire to do God's Will. However, many are skeptical of claiming they know the will of God because of ludicrous past experiences of people who said they were doing God's Will, who obviously were not. If God's will is perfect, yet rarely is lived out perfectly, where is the blame to be laid?
The clarity of the Gospel of the New Testament is often cluttered and made muddy by the traditions and misconceptions of man. Yet, the truth of the Gospel shines bright for both the individual and church.
Many believers desire to be mature Christians, yet few are willing to endure the means by which we become mature. How can we allow our testing and trials to grow us into stronger faith as Christians?
Even though we may know what the Word of God says, often we may find ourselves pondering our problems instead of believing the Bible.
The Bible speaks about 'the days of Noah', but what about our day? Are we seeing similarities that should spell out the signs of the times? If Noah had a purpose in his day, what is our purpose in our day?
Are there qualifications for the Gospel? Although many have become convinced of that Christianity is nothing more than a checklist, the Bible gives a vastly different contrast of what it means to be saved.
Christians and Church itself are never called to be good, not even great- but we are called to be perfect. Whenever you are doing well as a believer or body of believers- it must be time to up the anti and implement A New Standard.
Christians often are the worst for talking the talk without walking the walk. In the year 2020 most Christians have become displaced from the usual comforts of Christianity. No doubt some will walk away from serving Christ, while others will prove their Salvation.
Do you want to know the will of God in your life? If you've been around the Christian community for any amount of time at all you have no doubt hear this question a thousand times. And yet, the answer may be much more simple than you think. God wants you to know His will even more than you want to know His will for your life.
In the world we live in, deception can be found a dime a dozen. Even though, as Christians we are called out of such deception, too many Christians are choosing to dwell in deception when we are called to live in a place of truth.
With the dire and depressing state that we find our world in, many Christians have thrown their hands into the air and said "I'm done with it" as we anxiously anticipate the Lord's return. Pastor Garry Sorrell reminds the church that, though Jesus return is eminent, there is NO Coasting Allowed for believers.
